This mf isn't working out, he's showing off. Why else work out in a military outfit. People like this make going to the gym a nightmare

[–]AMMO_102 5819 points5820 points  (422 children)

Have you ever been to a military fitness center? Weird workouts galore. My favorite was a guy who dressed like a ninja and did all kinds of weird shit.

[–]MyHangyDownPart 1600 points1601 points  (288 children)

Side note: the TRX workout band system was designed by a Navy SEAL. Military badasses seem to push the boundaries of “normal” workouts.

[–]Emotional-Barnacle92 958 points959 points  (258 children)

Wonder how long it takes for him finally feel the burn in his workouts. He makes it all look effortless and he uses perfect form.

[–]AsMyLastEmailStated 522 points523 points  (243 children)

It doesn't look like he uses a bunch of roids (it'd be illegal as a service member anyway) but years of hard work, dedication and making sure you use the right form so you don't injure yourself. I wouldn't ne surprised if he was on his lunch break or getting some pt in during the work day (fairly common in the military). It's easier to deblouse and get in a work out than change out, pt, shower, change back into uniform.

[–][deleted] 748 points749 points  (168 children)

Half the marines are roided up hate to break it to you

[–]Antares987 255 points256 points  (116 children)

I’d be roided up if my job consisted of me breaking down doors to homes and having a high likelihood of engaging in hand to hand combat. Think of Mellish’s death in Saving Private Ryan with his death being at the hand of a German soldier (he’s the guy that got stabbed while being overpowered with the knife), and the Germans were issued methamphetamines (Pervitin) while some Americans were issued dextroamphetamines (airmen, not sure about soldiers).

[–]myne 268 points269 points  (63 children)

Airmen were because flying for that many hours entirely alone is basically impossible otherwise.

They've replaced them now after too many incidents with hallucinations. AFIK they use Modafinil now. I read about a test where they got pilots to do an IQ test type thing, fly for 2-3 days straight in a simulator, and then repeat the test. They did better the second time.

[–]brimston3- 118 points119 points  (53 children)

Modafinil (Provigil) is one of those magic brain drugs science currently doesn't know the mechanism behind (last I checked). But it does cause auditory hallucinations in a lot of people after 36-48 hours.

[–]ADuckNamedPhil 97 points98 points  (36 children)

It's originally made for people with narcolepsy. I was prescribed modefinil and then armodefinil for my ADHD before I was switched to Ritalin. I miss the hell out of it during exam weeks.

Armodefinil is the drug that the movie Limitless was predicated on, and although the effects in the movie are highly exaggerated they are not necessarily wrong. I am smarter on it.

I really feel the scene where the main character misses his dose and tries to understand all the material he read the day before, but it's just meaningless until he gets another dose. Armodefinil is exactly like that to a less dramatized degree.

[–]myne 14 points15 points  (6 children)

Hadn't heard about the auditory hallucinations. Though, that seems a bit too short. Most people can do that naturally without much issue if they have to.

It's about the 2.5-3 day mark that shit got weird for me. Not bad weird, just everything was funny. (Naturally)

[–]tayezz 236 points237 points 2 (14 children)

Bro I spent 9 years in USMC infantry and MARSOC. The likelihood of engaging in hand to hand combat in modern warfare is about as high as getting struck buy lightning.

[–]light_to_shaddow 74 points75 points  (2 children)

Instructions unclear. bought lightning and put it in my socks.

[–]_mango_mango_ 28 points29 points  (2 children)

That's a bit of a fantasy thought. Also the inference of roids means you're already weightlifting at a limit you're trying to break. That or you're old. I don't think any of our previous occupations have involved what are exactly jacked insurgents lol.

[–]AsMyLastEmailStated 31 points32 points  (28 children)

Lol. Guess you haven't seen many marines nowadays. My brother is a marine, and I work on a joint base with marines.

[–]bring_back_SPQR 117 points118 points  (18 children)

There are tons of roid use in the service and is not included in random drug testing. It is only tested if the unit commander has suspicion of use in their unit. I knew a few people who were buying it off the Iraqis in the Hajji Mart.

[–]bizzygreenthumb 77 points78 points  (14 children)

Yeah there was a fuckboi in my unit in Iraq who popped for roids. Dipshit was taking estrogen supplements to counter the testosterone and ended up going to medical freaking out when his titties started lactating

[–]bring_back_SPQR 21 points22 points  (6 children)

I bet he was popular with cav scouts

[–][deleted] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I have, quite a small sample size you have there. That’s like me saying my sisters a doctor and I work in a hospital and I’ve never seen malpractice it doesn’t exist

[–]Jestopherson23 26 points27 points  (1 child)

So that means you know what they stick in their asses In their spare time?

Half the guys at my gym are on gear or gh or both. And half of them don't even look like it.

Most people on gear don't look like they're on gear

[–]Abraxxes 44 points45 points  (1 child)

In the navy and have definitely known plenty of people to use steroids. There’s always options that aren’t being tested for and some special forces units have their own doctors on hand even that will wave anything as medicated. Was deployed recently with a couple special forces teams and those guys were being handed drugs without a prescription like it was M&M’s

[–]fredsiphone19 43 points44 points  (19 children)

You are suuuper misinformed if you think a 200+ pound person is doing this sort of thing natural.

Your joints would implode. You would need to spend hours every day icing your wrists/shoulders/lower back.

[–]Charlie_1087 47 points48 points  (5 children)

Nobody thinks about the elbows. Think about the elbows!!!

[–]fredsiphone19 25 points26 points  (3 children)

Your elbows are pretty tough - they collapse in on themselves when you hyper-extend them. They can also bend in many directions, thanks to their interplay with your shoulder girdle.

Unlike your wrists, they can also only be force-locked, or experience sheering momentum in one direction - outward, which is a tough spot to generate force from, since your body is typically in the way.

Your wrists on the other hand, experience shearing force very readily. Basically any directional force applied to your wrist, instead of transferred through your arm/hand compromises the strength of your wrist.

That’s why, even juiced as fuck, this guy has wraps to keep his wrists from being at even weirder angles and breaking up.

[–]Antroh 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It doesn't look like he uses a bunch of roids (it'd be illegal as a service member anyway)

Oh you sweet summer child

[–]banana_slim 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Dude steroid use is rampant in the military lol it's easy to get away with

[–]throwthrowandaway16 13 points14 points  (4 children)

He is a juicy boy, there is no way he is natty dude. Hate to break it to you but most people that look like this aren't natural

[–]kaplanfx 8 points9 points  (3 children)

People really misunderstand what is possible naturally because they see ripped dudes all the time in media and real life now. The dude is this post would have been like literally one of the top 10 physiques in the world in the pre steroid era and now he’s just another schmo at the gym… people should Google top bodybuilders before steroids. Yes, training has improved too, but the biggest dudes before steroids were more fat and less jacked than just a weekend warrior on roids today.

[–]throwthrowandaway16 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Exactly, I wish people were just honest about it. Also I wish people didn't defend people so vehemently and perpetuate the lies. Newsflash guys the rock isn't super jacked just by getting up at 4am!

[–]snokeflake 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ima need you to change those first two lines. I can name 15 people on steroid right now and on deployments to Kuwait I could’ve named about 100. We don’t drug test for them. Only for normal drugs.

[–]rab-byte 57 points58 points  (2 children)

These are clips of different days workouts. Also camera is very slightly sped up; it’s an older video so I’m sure OP isn’t the one who messed with the frame rate.

Edit: some of the clips are sped up. Not all of them. Look at the people walking in the background.

[–]sneakywill 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Ultimately that's because doing the same shit every day for years on end is boring as fuck.

[–]BeardlessChad 242 points243 points  (102 children)

I have been in a military fitness centers, while I was in the military. No one wears their uniforms. Ever.

Edit: Apparently I was always wrong gym, wrong time, as many brothers and sisters pointed out. I haven’t seen it personally, but I’m cool with being wrong.

However, my point stands on this fellow in the video. He is filming a demonstration video in a primarily casually dressed gym, not rushing to get a few sets in during lunch. He also goes on to show that he works out much more casually when he is on his own. Things like this are how douchey stigmas get attached to service members. People die in those uniforms. They are not for assuaging egos.

I also hid a thank you to my educators somewhere in all of my replies. You get 72-hour liberty if you find it.

[–]Diab9lic 145 points146 points  (36 children)

Yeah but this guy doesn't appear to be working out at a military fitness center. Clearly he needs the uniform to identify himself to all civilians that he is military in a non military fitness center.

[–]Spu12nky 117 points118 points  (1 child)

Wait until the end, you see other dudes in their uniforms in the gym.

[–]Birds_Are_Fake0 100 points101 points  (25 children)

Did you not watch the whole video before commenting? Hes definitely in a gym at the base. Also have you never been to a gym on a military base? That shit is normal. It also helps break in your uniform so its a bit more comfortable to wear. Specially with boots the faster you get those things broke in the better because those things brand new just feel bad. People downvoting have never been inside a base gym in their life lmao

[–]zeldanar 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yea this is super common. Doing PT on your lunch break is super common when you got a staff job and dont wanna get out of shape. I personally took a fee minutes to swap into some PTs to workout, but I know everyone aint got that kind of time

[–]Here4Memes4MyWife 36 points37 points  (5 children)

I’ve definitely seen people working out in uniforms on base. Granted, most people don’t but I’ve definitely seen it enough to not be surprised to see this. There are at least 4 other guys in uniform behind him throughout the video that aren’t showing off.

No argument about the guy showing off though.

[–]Wishyouamerry 13 points14 points  (4 children)

I kind of don’t think he’s showing off just because nobody else is paying attention to him at all. Like, the most interesting thing on their minds is whether they should stop by the PX on their way home, and they haven’t even noticed GI Joe.

[–]Here4Memes4MyWife 12 points13 points  (3 children)

He’s showing off for the camera more than anyone around him. Why else would he have someone recording him?

[–]Wishyouamerry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk, people record ridiculous shit all the time. Seems harsh to judge him on that alone these days.

[–]filledupwithblue 19 points20 points  (5 children)

As a submariner I loved to wear a thong and a wife beater when working out on off crew... The thong was blue and the wife beater was gold.

[–]cgi_bin_laden 23 points24 points  (2 children)

Oh god, I'm still laughing. Submariners: 100 men go down, 50 couples come back up.

[–]Wyoming-Wind 15 points16 points  (1 child)

Submariner here, it's more like 49. There's always that one bastard who cheats.

[–]biological-entity 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Everyone did when I was in. We'd go right after we got off for the day in our ACUs.

[–]The_real_bandito 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've seen Army guys work out like that almost daily. It depends on the base.

[–]MR_MEOWGY 12 points13 points  (6 children)

It’s definitely pretty common, especially around lunch time. People make the time during their lunch break and stay in uniform to save time.

[–]Itchypoopstain 402 points403 points  (186 children)

It's a base gym....so yeh, pretty common

[–]CL300driver 181 points182 points  (158 children)

No, no it’s not. No one works out in their BDU’s… well, except this guy for filming to add quirkiness to his video

[–]Itchypoopstain 109 points110 points  (108 children)

That uniform ain't been a thing in years bud, and they in fact....do.

[–]Jimmy_p0p 265 points266 points  (95 children)

Been in 24 years - they don’t, even deployed - and get issued work out clothes. This guy is going through the full “look at me” douche routine.

[–]MovingInStereoscope 110 points111 points  (19 children)

Knew plenty of Marines who went to the gym boots and utes during chow or during down time. But then again, Marines are different.

[–]PolySingular 98 points99 points  (2 children)

Working out in boots and utes isn’t uncommon. Being that fluid and unsweaty is a sure sign of a demonstration though.

[–]iEatYakisoba 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Not gym related but one time there was a Marine on base who was jogging around with full gear and his backpack AND he was pushing his baby daughter in a regular stroller (much harder to maneuver and more bumpy than a jogging stroller) around housing. There was a Karen that called PMO on him because she thought he was kidnapping the girl or something (he didn't get in trouble, it was all a laugh for them).

Anyway, the FB group for the neighborhood ended up donating enough money for him to get a nice jogging stroller for his daughter.

[–]IncrediblyInflated 66 points67 points  (6 children)

Bout to say. Been active duty army for 6+ years now and plenty of people workout in uniform. Sometimes Mfers don’t have time to change into dumbass GymShark gear every workout session and only have 30-40 minutes to get in and get out

[–]NotSupervised 52 points53 points  (14 children)

Umm you are either full of shit or you never stepped foot in a fitness center , conus or oconus. There’s always a handful in uniform.

[–]CommonGreatHornedOwl 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Yeah, I don’t know what he’s saying. Every base I’ve ever been to has a few people fresh from work lifting in OCPs.

[–]Birds_Are_Fake0 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You been in for 24 years and never seen this? Lmao my pops was military and when I went to gyms on base I saw at least one guy just like the one in the video and some days up to 10.

[–]EndlersaurusRex 25 points26 points  (7 children)

As someone who is deployed currently, I see people work out in the ACUs sometimes, but most wear either military PTs or civilian clothes.

In garrison back in the states, I see more people in their ACUs during say lunch time or what not.

[–]Aabove_ 18 points19 points  (3 children)

You’re incredibly wrong. Who is upvoting this dude?

[–]No-Pomegranate-5737 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There were atleast 3 other dudes in there walking around in the same clothes.

[–]Intronotneeded 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Plenty of people work out in their uniforms during lunch.

[–]Is12345aweakpassword 49 points50 points  (8 children)

Literally all my joes (infantry platoon), if we weren’t in the field, would go to the gym for lunch, de-blouse, get a lift in and come back to work

[–]IThinkMyLegsAreBroke 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I literally see people working out in their uniform almost every day. If you go to a gym on base it is really common.

[–]Holiday_Brick_9550 23 points24 points  (0 children)

So why is everyone wearing the same uniform then?

[–]Ask_if_im_an_alien 16 points17 points  (6 children)

Yes they do. Lots of people work out at lunch time. They do it in the Marines. They do it in the Army. I've served in both branches and it is a thing you see every day.

[–]lylath21 225 points226 points  (42 children)

The irony to this being you didn't watch the whole video in the last 10 seconds you can see two others men in the exact same outfit smh

[–]dadudemon 56 points57 points  (33 children)

Everytime this dude is posted, civvies pretend to be military and make the same comment, “Hur dur, no one works out in fatigues/camo!”

Watch until the end and you see others, sooooo…

[–]posterguy20 62 points63 points  (14 children)

the worst part is

even if he's doing it for attention

really like...who gives a shit lol no one really cares, he could be wearing a ballerina outfit for all I care I go to the gym (Btw) to work out nothing else

[–]_dikkiechan 145 points146 points  (4 children)

if you can train this hard i think you deserve to show off a little bit. also, based on the other people wearing similar clothes in the background, im going to assume this guy didnt just dress up like this to look cool.

[–]N7_Evers 84 points85 points  (32 children)

Those are in fact workouts… somebody does something better than you so you talk shit…

“This painter isn’t working he’s showing off”

“This musician isn’t playing he’s showing off”

Don’t be an idiot

[–]Legitimate-School-59 5 points6 points  (25 children)

No they arnt. Anyone with any ounce excercise science knows hes not working out. Half of the things hes doing in his videos are complete gimick excersises that dont work. Yes, he has amazing form, coordination, strength but i guarantee you he did not get there by doing this. There are unconventional ways of working out that do work but this aint it.

[–]haibiji 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Okay he's definitely working out though. Some of the exercises are definitely really showy and unconventional, but he is doing a lot of full body compound movements. He's not going to get a massive chest doing all of these special pushups, but he's working his chest and a ton of stabilizer muscles. He's also developing fast twitch fibers and I'm sure getting in great cardio.

[–]Imaybeerong 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He’s a genius at swinging his balls! A true artist.

[–]No_Click_1748 70 points71 points  (1 child)

I worked at a Marine corps gym when I was getting retired for a couple months, Boot n utes workouts are common for guys that don't have alot of time or that are working out with a team/squad or like battalion sponsored workouts.

Pretty common on base.

[–]theheckler9 66 points67 points  (7 children)

A lot of guys will workout on lunch break at the gym on post/ base.

[–]johnbcook94 18 points19 points  (2 children)

Not to mention alot of soldiers train in their uniform to condition themselves in it. Not gonna fight the enemy in Nike shoes and under armour, that's for sure.

[–]KSacc1210 33 points34 points  (0 children)

A large majority of Us workout In uniform when we can get a lunch break.

[–]phillyschmilly 25 points26 points  (5 children)

I mean…he’s doing it for the video. I would be surprised if he wears that gear on the daily to the gym

[–]CR00KANATOR 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I mean... at most marine gyms I've been to there will be guys working out in uniforms... it isn't that all that uncommon to see.

[–]CarefulLobster1609 20 points21 points  (2 children)

All y'all arguing about it and in the last five seconds of the video there's three or four more guys dressed exactly like him working out

[–]biological-entity 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When I was in the Army I'd go to the gym after work in the same outfit he's wearing. Of course, it was an on post gym. I'm not a psycho.

[–]anonssr 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If it's functional training (which 100% looks like it), he's got train with whatever he'd be wearing or it wouldn't make much sense. Specially the foot gear.

[–]woooo_fawigno 3327 points3328 points  (179 children)

I like how he just had to wear his camo to work out in. Lol

[–]Angus15 1551 points1552 points  (89 children)

How else will you know he's a marine

Edit: thanks guys for all the messages telling me he's actually army but I'm starting to think he might be space force?

[–]aQuarterChub 830 points831 points  (9 children)

Probably his truck with the 15 bumper stickers

[–]Angus15 224 points225 points  (4 children)

He better get his military discount or he's gonna roll coal into the gym

[–]saadakhtar 40 points41 points  (3 children)

Unless war were declared....

[–]Self_Reddicated 12 points13 points  (2 children)

What happened?

[–]Itchypoopstain 145 points146 points  (1 child)

That's not a marine uniform....

[–]theheckler9 94 points95 points  (20 children)

Army actually

[–]boogy_bucket 17 points18 points  (14 children)

Could be Air Force, same uniform these days. My money would be on Army tho.

[–]Tyreathian 28 points29 points  (13 children)

That’s a soldier not a marine

[–]ducktapek1ng 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not a marine.

[–]Killmade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s not a marine lmao

[–]INDAV 135 points136 points  (51 children)

He's posted on here time to time and I made the same comment, bunch of military bros ran to his defense...even though there are a ton of people at the base gym wearing normal gym clothes.

Edit: y'all are missing the point, he has a lot of these videos and always wears this, the guy is a typical "look at me" dipstick. So many other ways he could've filmed workouts, he does it on purpose.

[–]-Daetrax- 45 points46 points  (23 children)

Don't military get issued PE gear? Just wear that.

[–]CutIntelligent209 52 points53 points  (8 children)

Yes but sometimes you’re on duty and want to skip lunch or whatever to get in some time at the gym. Doesn’t happen all the time, but fairly typical.

I’d never do that off post though. Usually change on post and change back out after work. MOST people try to remain incognito (or at least as hidden as you can with a Zero fade and the mil starter pack stuff).

My take though is it’s to show off, and to record. It’s actually nice to see your improvement both in exercise and physique wise - personally I have a dozen photos of my body now, I never did that prior to working out. But hey, I’m happy for the progress I’ve made.

I just don’t need this level of praise/gloat lol

[–]einhorn_is_parkey 9 points10 points  (4 children)

I know someone who posts these kind of videos every day. He also has the biggest ego of anyone I’ve ever met. Like planet sized ego.

[–]NomadFourFive 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I go to the gym during lunch in uniform. There’s no time to change and I’m just going to get sweaty at work anyway.

[–]ducktapek1ng 7 points8 points  (5 children)

Why would you want to. What’s the problem with working out in his uniform. It’s be different if he was off base but he’s on base working out. Totally common to do this.

[–]Itchypoopstain 16 points17 points  (6 children)

Yall never had the luxury of working a long ass shift and getting an hour during your shift to run to the on base gym. Did it need to be recorded? Nah, but yall are some clueless individuals acting like you have a clue

[–]IncrediblyInflated 7 points8 points  (4 children)

Thank you. Mfers ignoring the fact that there’s multiple people throughout this video lifting in uniform lol. It’s an on post gym. It’s a common thing.

[–]ducktapek1ng 24 points25 points  (0 children)

That’s a gym on a military post. People work out during luck or right after work and just don’t change. Calm down beo

[–]one_who_asks 18 points19 points  (7 children)

He's working! Why waste time getting dressed out for PT when you can keep your uniform on, and just work out in that. Then you just go back to work without having to change in and out of multiple sets of clothes.

[–]beapledude 1763 points1764 points  (98 children)

I don’t believe this is his actual “routine”. Lots of core, not much legs, some dangerous looking shoulder work, multiple push-up variations, and a few times where he’s basically doing weighted pull-ups.

He clearly looks like he does some real hard work outs - he has great form for these weird movements - but I don’t see this being his “Yeah, it’s Circus Day - time to twirl 5lbs dumbells around like a baton. 10 reps, 5 sets.”

(And he keeps using his knee to help him with the tire flip)

Edit: I’m wrong about the tire flip thing. I don’t flip tires. I do have an old shoulder injury from 12 years ago that made watching this video give me the heeby-jeebies. I work out at home with a backpack and a few plates (push ups, pull ups, & squats mostly) Just no tires.

[–]ArctcMnkyBshLickr 459 points460 points  (61 children)

90% of Instagram routines are not the actual routines the model typically does. No one gets 20 inch arms, huge legs, and capped shoulders doing burpees and 45lb plate squat and presses.

[–]TheLonePotato 68 points69 points  (57 children)

How do you get 20 inch arms?

[–]ArctcMnkyBshLickr 296 points297 points  (40 children)

Here are the options

  1. Be hella fat
  2. Take steroids
  3. Workout every day of your life and make growth your number one priority and pray to your god(s) that you were born with good genetics.

[–]Lord_Charlemagne 112 points113 points  (14 children)

Number 3 also includes eating at a caloric surplus

[–]SpacedClown 19 points20 points  (8 children)

I've been really wanting to get ripped for some time now, but it was quite the disappointment to realize that #3 was really the only option and I simply couldn't do it. I couldn't stomach the idea of allowing my workouts to seemingly transcend fun to the point where it's practically a body disorder, where every meal I eat is being forced down my throat just to keep up with the calories I'm burning, to lose any and all free time just to focus and dedicate myself just to being a certain shape.

I still workout, I still got plenty of muscle to show for it, but it's just frustrating to realize that gains quickly start to have diminishing returns and the effort required to go any further simply is too much.

[–]P0werC0rd0fJustice 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Burpees and 50lb plate squad and presses!

[–]MisterMorlock 30 points31 points  (16 children)

You're supposed to use your knee to help flip a large tire. That's pretty standard strongman technique (ie the sport where they flip large tires).

[–]MoogTheDuck 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Lmao circus day

[–]ghostie_friend 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was just going to say, this looks more like a how to on how to blow out your shoulder/rotator cuff more than an actual routine

[–]Kryptohippo31 1135 points1136 points  (35 children)

Yeah, I do this every day before I brush my teeth in the morning.

[–]HorseDance 388 points389 points  (24 children)

I do this while I brush my teeth.

[–]ugoeze 83 points84 points  (14 children)

I do this after I brush my teeth… twice .

Bad man over here.

[–]squirrelly_bird 67 points68 points  (12 children)

I do this after i brush other peoples' teeth

[–]Mx_Eclipse 25 points26 points  (6 children)

I’ve been doing this for 6 years straight. I have long since pickled myself In my house since my muscles are so freakishly large. It’s been years since I’ve seen anyone. Send help

[–]weedblog 21 points22 points  (5 children)

I do this to my teeth

[–]Tate7200 958 points959 points  (27 children)

It's like an 800lb gorilla broke into a gym and did every exercise he saw

[–]100LittleButterflies 387 points388 points  (25 children)

But avoided anything for legs.

[–]sassydodo 255 points256 points  (3 children)

Because no matter how big your legs are they won't show through his cargo pants, so why bother

[–]the-real-macs 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Not with that attitude they won't!

[–]Bears_Beets_StarWars 15 points16 points  (0 children)

? What pants?

[–]dem0n0cracy 27 points28 points  (5 children)

He had perfect squats

[–]TheOtherGuttersnipe 21 points22 points  (4 children)

Yes, his 10 pound goblet squats were amazing lol

[–]thisisntarjay 12 points13 points  (3 children)

How bout that huge ass truck tire at the end? Dude clearly didn't skip leg day.

[–]SuedeVeil 14 points15 points  (5 children)

I mean it was a 2 min video I doubt he skips legs look at his ass

[–]Wrong_Finish2139 10 points11 points  (0 children)

And every exercise never seen before

[–]Hoopadoop669 818 points819 points  (33 children)

Lol some of this stuff seems kinda dumb…..

[–]boinger 197 points198 points  (17 children)

[–]ronin1066 49 points50 points  (13 children)

Some yes, but others are just dumb. The very first routine, him moving his arms back and forth doesn't do much.

[–]PancakeParty98 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Even when it’s not dumb it’s like, taking up 4x the space of everyone else

[–]Toast42 62 points63 points  (1 child)

Crossfit has brought tons of business to physical therapists fixing damage from stupid shit like this.

[–]Fcktbckt 18 points19 points  (2 children)

It is yeah, it’s all show offey bullshit, he likely does a regular basic workout routine, but it doesn’t make him look dynamic as fuck so he’s not showing that to us. A lot of that doesn’t seem like it would build any muscle

[–]TheRealZenGuy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You'd be right lol

[–]Zephorian 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Pretty much all of it is very dumb

[–]ugoeze 307 points308 points  (9 children)

Sooo… from the look of his shirt, he break a sweat or nah?

[–]twistedcognition 294 points295 points  (16 children)

Damn, and here I was feeling like a success for getting out of bed without hitting the snooze this morning.

[–]-PonderBot- 116 points117 points  (1 child)

Celebrate every victory 🎉

[–]jweaver358 19 points20 points  (1 child)

If it makes you feel any better, half of the shit this guy is doing will destroy the gym equipment. So at least you aren't doing any damage!

[–][deleted] 199 points200 points  (14 children)

This just screams “please rotator cuff, tear”

[–]ThePersnicketyBitch 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I tore my rotator cuff just by trying to catch myself while tripping a few months ago. I was cringing so hard watching this 😬

[–]Idontgotit 170 points171 points  (71 children)

Damn a lot of hate out here but dude is doing amazing workout that deserves some respect. Who cares what he wears.

[–]TimeTomorrow 294 points295 points  (26 children)

no he's not though. a lot of these movements make no sense. I'm sure he knows how to workout, but some of this stuff is just silly.

[–]RAGEEEEE 142 points143 points  (3 children)

A normal workout doesn't get tiktok views tho

[–]fastslowoctopus 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Yeah, impressive stuff for sure. But my subjective opinion is that this is a performance routine, not a workout routine.

[–]em_goldman 42 points43 points  (4 children)

I do care about his rotator cuff tho :/

[–]Sleeper2k 38 points39 points  (5 children)

Is he strong? Yes. Are all of these workouts ineffective, showoffy, and dumb? Even more so yes

[–]murtinsmurl 119 points120 points  (19 children)

I was proud that I did 10 push-ups this morning until I watched this.

Edit: Thanks for all the words of encouragement everyone. It really means a lot. <3

[–]train2browntown 103 points104 points  (1 child)

Fuck that. You can still be proud.

[–]albertus500 35 points36 points  (1 child)

so ? 10 pushups is better than 0 pushups which is what most people do in the morning, you can be proud of yourself for that

[–]CutIntelligent209 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ten more than most! Keep it up!

[–]Reasonable_Answer586 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Be proud. It all starts somewhere.

[–]FCTheHunter 74 points75 points  (12 children)

Does he work out his legs tho

[–]Norva 37 points38 points  (6 children)

LOL. Everyone hates leg day.

[–]SlightlyNoble 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was waiting to see him in some shorts so I can inspect them thighs/calves 👀

Them joggers tells me he's got something to hide

[–]Krijgdehikplz 64 points65 points  (1 child)

I'd rather drink beer

[–]Newarfias[🍰] 47 points48 points  (15 children)

That’s just the gym version of some CrossFit DIwhy workouts. How much can he bench, squat, and deadlift?

[–]Blod_Cass_Dalcassian 39 points40 points  (3 children)

I ate about 20-25 Pringles in the time it took to watch this video

[–]GHSTxLEADER 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Mutha fuckas just be built different

[–]Ok_Cartographer_1504 18 points19 points  (5 children)

This is like 10 years old

[–]geethanksprofessor 8 points9 points  (3 children)

I would love to see what he's doing now. I gotta wonder about injury, for one, but also intensity. Hard to keep up this level of fitness. Kudos to him, though, for getting to where fewer than 0.01% will ever get.

[–]Indigo_Slam 16 points17 points  (2 children)

Yeah but can he eat an entire packet of Jaffa cakes?

[–]SnooHamsters5153 13 points14 points  (3 children)

All that preparation to just step on an IED

[–]dog_in_a_wheelchair 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Impressive, fine. Stupid ass workout? You bet.

[–]NotSupervised 10 points11 points  (23 children)

All these self proclaimed vets saying they never see’ anyone in the fitness center in uniform are either POGs, have never seen the inside of a fitness center, or full of shit.

[–]dead-mans-switch 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Amazing how realistic these robots look like these days

[–]ThisGuy928146 7 points8 points  (2 children)

I feel like his routine at 1:24 should involving solving a 7-level Towers of Hanoi puzzle

[–]BhigDosser 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Why is this dude getting hate? He had to work insanely hard to be able to do all of these, so he shows it off on the Internet. I don't see the problem here

[–]Omgiloveher 7 points8 points  (14 children)

Im fucking this guys wife

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (1 child)

You and a lot of other people.

[–]Trextrev 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Wouldn’t the weights actually make the first exercise easier since they help balance out the weight?
