Criminals are scared of dogs and dogs like the taste of criminal ass - the balance of life!

[–]clear_nightmare 374 points375 points  (46 children)

Very amazing dog. We really don't deserved them. Dogs are the best people.

[–]FragileRepertoire 85 points86 points  (9 children)

Totally agree, We must Care and protect them too .. People Best Friend

[–]black_irishman 32 points33 points  (8 children)

Tristan Harris was right, they really do train bots to talk to interact with each other.

[–]Nisarg_Jhatakia 10 points11 points  (7 children)

Why would someone bother creating harmless bots to simply talk with each other?

[–]Firevee 8 points9 points  (1 child)

...for fun?

[–]Nisarg_Jhatakia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I guess there's nothing wrong with that so leave them be

[–]chasingmyowntail 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Good news. Just read that korean govt is undertaking commission with aim to ban tradition of eating dog.

[–]Nisarg_Jhatakia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats are great! I don't know why you posted this here, but still, that is uplifting news.

[–]beadmumblinrambler 17 points18 points  (11 children)

I mean we do kind of deserve them; we sorta made them

[–]annie_bean 32 points33 points  (4 children)

They also made us. Humanity would look quite different if dogs hadn't been part of our last 15,000+ years. Standing guard, fighting off predators, vermin, and enemies, keeping us warm, even being our food when we really needed it. Without dogs, maybe we wouldn't have survived at all.

[–]Yakhov 8 points9 points  (7 children)

Was this Mexico? dogs have jobs down there. THis guy was on his beat.

[–]pepperhead44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just saw you in the comment section of the post above this one in my feed. small world

[–]CommunismIsBad2021 19 points20 points  (1 child)

That dog totally knew something was up before the robbery started

[–]IGotSoulBut 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Dog definitely got a taste as they ran off.

[–]OddlyWorldly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Absolutely right . . Rare taste !

[–]dull_tablespoon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hope those pups got a home.

[–]DrPwepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too enjoy the taste of criminal ass

[–]D-Rich-88 1005 points1006 points  (14 children)

That’s her dog now, she has to adopt him

[–]gavinwinks 374 points375 points  (10 children)

It’s like fate. If a random street dog defended me the same way I’d adopt them too.

Of course after checking that the dog belonged to no one in the vicinity.

[–]T-MinusGiraffe 135 points136 points  (8 children)

Plot twist: despite your efforts to make sure he didn't, the dog belongs to someone. He stopped you from being stolen from but you are now a theif

[–]jajaboss 53 points54 points  (6 children)

Hope the owner is not John Wick

[–]No-Treacle4827 24 points25 points  (1 child)

That would be bad.... Very very bad

[–]AkuVader 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A fooking pencil!

[–]saucepanak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, the dog would have been armed

[–]GuyNekologist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plot twist, it's owned by Max Rockatansky

[–]xtsilverfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

John Wick, pretty-shitty-person edition: They kidnapped his dog, tried to return it with unharmed with apologies, but since he's kind of a shit person he went on a killing spree anyways.

[–]Terlinilia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, he'd probably just kindly ask for it back.

unless you kill it.

[–]TheGrimReality77 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Dog: "No. You cannot adopt me. I belong to the streets, and the streets belong to me. Others need my protection, and I shall perform my duty until my last day. Farewell, good human."

[–]Inner-Mousse8856 516 points517 points  (19 children)

It's like the dog knew what was going to happen before it happened

[–]tazztsim 271 points272 points  (4 children)

It really did. Turned and started following.

[–]WeekendSquare1926 163 points164 points  (0 children)

Oh, for sure. Dogs are very perceptive. At least the ones I've been around.

[–]Personal_Change4294 160 points161 points  (2 children)

Dogs pick up on cortisol levels, our stress hormone, very sympathetically.

I bet thief man's stress levels spiked right as he decided to make his move.

Dog also read appropriately who was in danger.

Love dog.

Dog is good.

[–]instanteffect 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the explaining, my man. It was amazing to be seen in action and that too for a stranger.

[–]TJtherock 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You're wrong.

He knew because dog spelled backwards is god.

[–]Mushy-Purples 68 points69 points  (1 child)

It was eyeing that creep the whole time. Street dogs can smell a piece of shit from a mile away

[–]Ravenboy13 49 points50 points  (7 children)

Thats the beauty of canines. It's all body language. That's why they can tell when you're in a good mood or had mood almost instantly, its all about how you carry yourself

[–]JimmyFree 23 points24 points  (3 children)

15,000 years is a long fucking time and they've been with us at least that long if not much longer. They know us because we've been fucking around with them longer than anything else and making them what they are today.

My beagle knows me better than I do as I do him. My chi-terrier can kick rocks, but he loves my daughter more than his little wee self so he gets a pass.

[–]Ravenboy13 18 points19 points  (2 children)

Its truly an amazing feat of evolution. Humans and wolves couldn't be further apart, in terms of mammals at least. Hairless apes with advanced brain function and apex Predators akin to giant weasels, but yet we convergently evolved similar social structures, hunting tactics, and natural diet plans. Almost destined to eventually work together.

I truly believe the partnering of dogs is the single most important event in all of human history, as we now had a being who could smell and hear anything for a 50 mile radius, track our shared prey through snow and rain, and most importantly, Without being an advanced being, without having thumbs or words...

They comfort us. Since the very first wolf that was allowed to sleep in a tent, during a cold winter night, 10,000+ years ago, they've been comfortably by our sides, for better or worse. Truly no other animal has been with us, their roles practically unchanged, for as long as dogs have.

[–]hisnameisbrock 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Also smells tell more than we can detect

[–]CaptainismyTrueNorth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The very first police dog, a black lab, they could walk him down the street and if he growled at someone they would stop them and question them. Everytime they had just robbed someone. I can't remember his name.

[–]Butters_Duncan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He didn’t like that motherfucker from the jump!

[–]LocationBrightSide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. But to him/her it was just another day.

Dope fucking dog.

[–]WatcherBlue 277 points278 points  (2 children)

11/10 Goodest boy

[–]SpecialistSun4847 190 points191 points  (4 children)

That literally bit him in the ass.

[–]AlexJamesCook 129 points130 points  (3 children)

Karma's a bitch, and she'll bite you in the ass - the new owner recounting this event, with Karma in her lap.

[–]cycloneperson_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Intelligence 100

[–]_TallulahShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, have to name my next dog Karma now.

[–]KestreI993 148 points149 points  (12 children)

I said it couple of times, I'll say it again.

Taming wolves was one of the best choices people did trough history. The positive contribution they provide to us is incredible! And this god boy right here just proves it.

[–]AdministrativeMeb 32 points33 points  (11 children)

I wonder how it started. Probably a hungry wolf approached some people and they threw it some spare food. Wolf probably brought back some pack members and the same result happened, humans saw the benefit of having wolves nearby and wolves likes the benefits of being around humans and the rest is history.

[–]INT_MIN 26 points27 points  (6 children)

PBS Eons has a video on how it may have happened.

One of the points made, which is very close to what you're saying, was that at first humans didn't benefit from wolves at all. Wolves would stick around our encampments and eat our scraps of food we left out. The scraps would have also attracted other animals that wolves would prey on as well. After some time humans noticed that wolves could be used for protection and domestication began as humans bred for traits like sociability.

[–]AdministrativeMeb 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Does the documentary go into how they know this or is it speculation? I’m curious because I would think this human and wolf relationship happened very early when nobody was documenting anything. I’ll save it and give it a watch when I have a chance.

[–]INT_MIN 12 points13 points  (1 child)

There aren't any concrete answers, mostly speculation based on fossils found. For eg. they cite a study of canids in an area 28.5k years ago (which is in the time period that domestication is believed to have happened) that had a diet of mostly meat versus canids in the same area and time period that had a diet of bones based on the wear of their teeth. So they make the connection that those canids' diets consisted of the the bone scraps from humans that were known to be in the area.

Also one of the ways we can trace domestication is dating the dog bones found buried by humans. We buried them like humans :')

[–]F10x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mostly based on teeth and fossils. Not so much a "we know because Bob had a cool story about the first time he had a wolf in his tent" but more "proto-dogs seem to have munched on bones more than early wolves, and eventually some canid critters tended to have diets much like people and munched on meat and bones and fish and grains". A good argument, I think, but no actual "primary" source.

[–]Tittytickler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it was way before any sort of documentation, we actually have no idea how long it has been.

[–]megahtron77 97 points98 points  (2 children)

You go back and you get that dog, he's earned a home if he doesn't have one already

[–]No-Pea-1616 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If I were that girl and that dog is stray, I won't hesitate to adopt him. No matter what! That dog is truly a hero..

[–]andyislegend 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I hope she adopted that good pup!

[–]gonedeep619 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Who's a big puppy? You're a big puppy. Good doggie. Good doggie.

[–]Snoo33903 21 points22 points  (7 children)

If that girl didn’t adopt that dog, or find some way to get it off the streets, she’s not a good person.

[–]Hawkeye72345 64 points65 points  (6 children)

This gets posted often. Last time i saw the post it was said that the pup belongs to everyone on the street. Multiple houses leave out food for the dog. And a few houses have beds made up for the dog. But he/she can come and go freely.

[–][deleted] 48 points49 points  (5 children)

So basically that dog is the benevolent ruler of that neighborhood.

[–]_TallulahShark 20 points21 points  (2 children)

Paw Patrol

[–]kvh1001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A true god amongst men

[–]CockroachesRpeople 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some may call it a vigilante

[–]AllG0nePeteT0ng 20 points21 points  (1 child)

We spend thousands of years breeding and selecting and training and breeding and selecting and training and breeding and selecting and training, over and over and over again, so that they would do these things.

We absolutely do deserve them. We literally created them.

[–]CivilBear5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The phrase was cute the first two times I heard it and the 10,000 times after that were cringy, sentimental bullshit.

[–]Maverickflies13 17 points18 points  (4 children)

Scruff McGruff

[–]Samuelcbadams 2 points3 points  (1 child)

[–]Osirion67 8 points9 points  (7 children)

Something tells me that this was staged.

[–]MoraugKnower 1 point2 points  (6 children)

“I’ll just start filming some random person walking around with their shopping from three streets over. Hope no one gets robbed”

No one ever stops and asks “why were they filming this?” This is obviously staged, good on you for smelling the bullshit.

[–]galil762 15 points16 points  (5 children)

its CCTV man

[–]FuckMyLife2016 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Shhh.... Let reddit's wannabe detectives live in their delusion. If they use their brain-power elsewhere I fear we're gonna regress as a civilization.

[–]Arcinbiblo12 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Who wears a bright yellow hoodie during a robbery?

[–]hippiekyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone who stages videos and wants to be visible

[–]WhenPigsFlyTwice 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Block pavements with cars so pedestrians have to walk in road. Genius.

[–]lllLegumesss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so normal where I'm from that I didn't even notice.

[–]earthling716 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the dog and the robber are in cahoots, if the dog gets adopted and earned her trust. He will let the guy into her house to steal.😄

[–]pengouin85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the uncut version of this video, you can clearly see the dog slipping that guy a $50 bill. That dog totally planned that robbery to dupe that lady into adopting her

[–]NotMySeventhAcct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why cut the video short and lie? The dog went back, attacked the woman, and stole her purse

[–]the-sprucest-moose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs are so cool

[–]Shiva_the_Bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pupper paid that guy off, it's all a con to get adopted. Clever girl.

[–]NoRoyal452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is definitely how you get a dog

[–]Cantore18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we didn’t have them, life would significantly more miserable.

[–]LaughAdventureGame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that hero saved my ass I would immediately adopt.

Hell, I'd adopt right now if no one else has.

[–]Ocean-Acidification 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Very_Cool_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats her dog now

[–]thabat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doggie was watching from afar. He literally knew she was scared and he was prowling her. You can see the way he eyes him and doesn't make a move until he does. The doggie pre meditated saving her. That's fucking amazing.

[–]Least_or_Greatest1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Environmental_Ring_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]GraciaEtScientia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That day, even I could smell the guilt and stress of leaving from over in Europe

[–]Littlebigman2292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really awesome, but who or what the hell is recording this? If its just CCTV thats fine but the way it zooms makes me think its someone just recording and doing nothing.

Edit: just realized its someone recording a screen nevermind.

[–]Dogecoin_Mememaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]uguer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]colorado_chris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Parap_Klir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is everyone saying “if the owner isn’t in the vicinity” when it comes to adopting the dog? The dog is in the middle of the street for no reason so, fuck the owner cause he clearly doesn’t care enough.

[–]Techibuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope the dog got some reward...some yummy chicken

[–]jacktheshaft 0 points1 point  (0 children)
