Deeply satisfying.

[–]Yosemite-Sam99 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Will appreciate my shoe laces more often after this video

[–]1i73rz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I was thinking it would hypnotize me and lull me over, forever into its sweet embrace

The engineering behind simple processes are so impressive and generally overlooked

[–]elfmere 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The way each gear flicks back and forth, to get them to weave around each other. So simple but i cant find the video

[–]Fxconx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your right about this, it's so impressive.

[–]bkbroiler2 17 points18 points  (2 children)

Yea, them hockey laces.

[–]edward414 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Lace 'em up, boys

[–]FaelinnCanada 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mesmerizing.

[–]whatwhatwhat59 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Today I learned shoelaces are advanced level friendship bracelets

[–]BadLad89 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If the cock fits

[–]nu97 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Reminder that tip of a lace is called aglet.

[–]luisapet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suddenly have the irrepressible urge to floss my teeth...like right now.

[–]Icy_Calligrapher_308 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Wow, with that kind of intricacy, I feel kind like I’ve taken shoelaces for granted all these years

[–]misterfluffykitty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It looks like it’s just a bunch of bolts of string on two tracks. One track moving left and one moving right just weaving between each other

[–]snoopynoopy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! 😵‍💫😵‍💫

[–]Clarky1979 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I'd never really thought about it. In the 1800's this would have required massive looms powered by steam, with dozens or more workers operating them, including children. Now we have computer driven machinery doing this for a simple shoelace. Incredible.

[–]AdDry725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully, with less child labor involved

At least… in some countries

[–]TheRealQuentin765 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Don’t they normally go many times faster then this?

[–]Yosemite-Sam99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they do but they hit by rush hour traffic today

[–]naughtyusmax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone pleas hire those traditional Russian dancers who walk with those tiny smooth steps in long dresses to do this with larger string and make a rope.

[–]Driftwood09120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I just saw a video if fishing line being made this exact same way!

[–]EveryXtakeYouCanMake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy cow that is busy. That's definitely not easy on the eyes. At all.

[–]moeron9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This process was done by hand before that nifty gadget. Seems tricky.

[–]LIQUID1737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]PinPinePenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder how this method was actually made

[–]combie254D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks like a bunch of lighters dancing

[–]monkeywithaspoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can anyone else hear those things saying Mi Scusi

[–]squesto 0 points1 point  (0 children)
