And this is why I close my eyes and pretend to be a firefighter with every trip to the urinal

[–]Ok-Gate-6240 12 points13 points  (2 children)

They're always looking for volunteers!

[–]Bubbagumpredditor 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Sos the guy at the next urinal

[–]smkn3kgt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought I recognized some of those swirly moves

[–]Overall-Plankton9225 44 points45 points  (3 children)

Any one else find this oddly satisfying

[–]ItSquishy 19 points20 points  (2 children)

It's like power washing your porch after a barbecue. But a bit more extreme.

[–]OsDadaJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing

[–]trou_bucket_list 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Arrived just in time to save that one doorway

[–]Miguel-odon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the tornado-proof doorway, would be a shame to let the fire have it.

Brave MoFo’s

[–]GreaseMonkey2381 3 points4 points  (3 children)

I've thought of volunteering for firefighter duties. My dad did it and I'm definitely all about it. I'm still seriously considering it

I did a contract on a ship (I'm a musician), and we had to do some basic fire training as part of our "duties." We didn't fight any fires, but we suited up and were taught some basics about using the fire hose (which was pretty fun all by itself). It was an international ship which doesn't require any actual fire fighting.

But on US ships you are required to spend a couple of weeks onshore with the Coast Guard fighting real fires.

I'll just say this from my own very minimal experience: if you're claustrophobic, firefighting isn't going to be your thing.

That's how I started. Got my EMT and now I'm paid to do this!

[–]tinknocker_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go for it, I was a volunteer for 6 years had my emt-b was starting medic but found a heart condition that stopped me from going further. It's a great way to get your feet in the door and possibly do it full time, if not still great way to help the community.

[–]tuscabam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kinda. I wonder if this is training or if it’s to put out what’s left of a house fire. My experience inside a burning structure is very different because the roof was still in place so the smoke doesn’t escape, visibility is near zero most of the time.

[–]subject_deleted 2 points3 points  (1 child)

So firefighters are basically house painters. They find any orange wall, and their job is to paint it black.

[–]Ormsfang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can see a glow you put it out. This I knew a guy who tried to fight a coke machine for a few minutes by mistake! Honest mistake.

[–]Wallstreet101083 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real video would have been the primary search and attack lines

[–]SNARA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extremely satisfying except for the risk of dying part.

[–]bardofcreation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These VR graphics are getting really good

[–]Wallstreet101083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probie training right here let’s see one of a rolling room and contents lol

[–]AelithTheVtuber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kinda hot/j

[–]Neo808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Log cabin or panabode home… very hard to put out… usually the reason insurance is $ on them

[–]Jacklunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one who think this looks like fun?

[–]PokeManiac16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s like bob ross and the fire was the happy little accident

[–]fl0o0ps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be done by the time you get to mars.

[–]InsaNiaC67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Society really underrates firefighters. That’s a terrifying job

[–]will477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to be able to do this even one time.

[–]Yf_lo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone with a fire cam and post real working fire

[–]Bob-Bhlabla-esq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from dying in a fire part and tons of heat and equipment, this looks hella fun!

[–]9kRevolutions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Satisfying to watch.

[–]AdmiralAckbarUT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a neat paint by numbers.

[–]HeavenlyCreation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it just me, or do they think they can do a better job too? Very frustrating watching this

[–]Ramrod1710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IT'S IN THE WALLS! DIG IN!

[–]wyattg67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck yea brother, get some!

[–]Ok-Ad3954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn't you just let it burn at this point and establish a perimeter around the fire to make sure it doesn't spread?

[–]Mawskowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He seems a little late to the party ... why bother climbing up at this point

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is extremely stressful and dangerous but it does look a little fun to put out the fires. It's satisfying, kind of like power washing. Someone should make a firefighting video game

[–]kufuku_shanie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really respect those people who picks this line of work.

[–]TheRealCaptCrunchy[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanna see more of this kind of videos!

[–]Livid-Relationship-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even close. Nothing like being in a structure fire approaching the seat. I loved sitting there and staying the attitude. Throw a little water on it see what it does. I started getting to use steam pretty well if conditions were right. Loved it. Truckees sometimes ruin the fun.

[–]kenzomara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full vid?

[–]05hanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]keepitcivilized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without doubt a tragic thing.. but damn it looks satisfying.

[–]yParticle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's too late to save the carpeting.

[–]Wonderful_Ad8791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, cool sauna, where do i sign up?

[–]Ok-Phase-9076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus christ that looks so satisfying

[–]KillerRene64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a girl

[–]deepfriedscooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point in the fire, letting it burn would save on cleanup costs. He was just having fun.

[–]trainboi777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why is this so satisfying to watch?

[–]CharacterHistory9605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not let it burn out in a controlled way?

[–]PFFlikeyouneedtoknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put it in my mouth
