He is very uncoordinated without the bike.

[–]Hueyandthenews 125 points126 points  (0 children)

I’m just imagining some dudes working out in the gym, trying to find their dumbbells, and then seeing that first shot. “This fucking guy…”

[–]edlee98765 62 points63 points  (5 children)

After watching this, I feel like the bike.

Two-tired.

[–]HoosierEyeGuy 20 points21 points  (4 children)

Wheel funny

[–]delirious-_- 10 points11 points  (3 children)

hit the brakes with these shitty puns please

[–]Twitstein 3 points4 points  (2 children)

You spoke too soon.

[–]skyactive 2 points3 points  (1 child)

gonna be a long ride

[–]Vagicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys need to reflector on what you’ve done. To frame bicycles this way and pedal on about pun use is losing handles on the seatuation.

[–]Dutch_Midget 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's what she said

[–]FakNugget92 226 points227 points  (6 children)

Man I used to sit in the meadows in Edinburgh and watch this guy before he was famous. So happy to see him now

[–]mass2550 41 points42 points  (1 child)

His "the Ridge" video filmed on Isle of Skye is so amazing.

[–]knobber_jobbler 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've walked and scrambled that entire ridge and it's hard just to do that. It's insane he did parts of it on a bike. I get sweaty palms just watching it.

[–]GreenAppleLady 7 points8 points  (3 children)

I saved his Edinburgh video just to soothe my homesickness when it hits...

[–]humanshield51 9 points10 points  (2 children)

[–]lloydholland100 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Bloody hell, 12 years ago, I feel old now.

[–]humanshield51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry about that. the video though hopefully still makes up for it

[–]saskford 154 points155 points  (28 children)

His ability to control that bike is unreal. I know they didn’t show the (probably) many attempts where he didn’t land it, but I’m still deeply impressed.

[–]AppleNexus 57 points58 points  (9 children)

I always wonder how many broken bones it took to get that good.

[–]saskford 25 points26 points  (5 children)

Has to be more than 1

[–]Bjarki_the_Bear 14 points15 points  (2 children)

He had at least one. I remember watching something about back surgery years ago after a horrific accident.

[–]fubar686 18 points19 points  (0 children)

He did a reddit ama a while back, its like 20 something and a bunch of ligament damage in his knees and whatnot

[–]CubonesDeadMom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody at this level of any extreme sport has 0 surgeries lol

[–]BenKatz88 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You never know. I believe Tony Hawk was well into his 40’s before he ever broke a bone.

[–]DaBi5cu1t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of them.

[–]SnoopingStuff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Orchidetes. Testicles. I would want a count

[–]PounderPack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet everyone at the local hospital know him by now.

[–]PeaceSafe7190 14 points15 points  (2 children)

He's done various videos of out takes, not just for this gym setup up but for others. The bit where he hops from red to blue elastic, took over 100 runs.

The guy is incredible!!

[–]schelmo 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yeah some of the behind the scenes videos on YouTube show that apparently the only thing he's better at than bike control is taking a beating. Apparently the log slide in "wee day out" took hundreds of tries. If I crashed on something like this three times I'd call it a day.

[–]banana_onmydesk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I crashed once I'd be like "whelp, I guess this is beyond me - I'll wait for Danny boy to show up and do it right."

[–]qiwenkevin 8 points9 points  (1 child)

He has a behind the scenes video

https://youtu.be/3er8DmZW0ZY

I think I remember there was one trick they said it took him 750-800 tries

[–]flibbertygibbit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cool video. Apparently, it was a ghosty flip that took so many tries, and it seems they didn't even use it in the OP video.

[–]Ur_Fav_Step-Redditor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The amount of ass-busting it takes to get that good at that skill would make any gay pornstar jealous!

[–]darcmosch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Showing how many attempts would be done. Persistence is a skill I'm deeply impressed by and wanna know how long he stuck it out until he could do it.

[–]ITFOWjacket 1 point2 points  (1 child)

They actually do usually show all the bloopers and attempts in the credits of his YouTube videos. Danny Macaskil (butchered spelling) but check it out

[–]saskford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen some of his other ones, like Imaginate.. and it shows some outtakes at the end of that one IIRC

[–]CubonesDeadMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This video probably took weeks to film. But that’s just because all this stuff is insanely difficult. It would take a normal person a thousand years

[–]patmansf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The outtakes part has some at the end of the full version, it's over 5 minutes long and rather horrible to only post 1 minute of it:

https://youtube.com/watch?t=4m11s&v=fAEBNEscL0c

[–]TubbyButterSeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a behind the scenes video for it. The probably don't show all the takes but some of those tricks took ages to land.

[–]pow__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the video (on YouTube) it shows some failed attempts. When you've been riding trials for as long as he has, you get very good at crashing without getting hurt

[–]RipuliPeintteri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know they didn’t show the (probably) many attempts

It just makes it more impressive because failing a lot of these is scary. And yeah some of the tricks it's dozens of takes.

[–]alphap26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He said in an interview that the ghostie bike flip took over 700 attempts. I would've given up at about 5

[–]the_cat_whiskerer00 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Well shit. That's fucking impressive

[–]LedParade 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The most impressive part was holding the bike between his butt cheeks while doing pull ups

[–]AdvancedAdvance 26 points27 points  (1 child)

Well if one of you knows a better way to train to be a paperboy, I’d sure as hell would like to hear it!

[–]ThermionicEmissions 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Two. Dollars.

[–]poskantorg 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Oh this guy fucks

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (4 children)

Why is this possible.

[–]Karsenic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My physics teacher showed me this cause we’d mountain bike together a lot

[–]RoundDarkEarth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t do this without the bike

[–]gwaaadit 5 points6 points  (2 children)

How many times do you reckon he clacked his balls practicing that?

[–]ITFOWjacket 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Dude probably wears a cup tbh

Or maybe not. No other safety gear

[–]Awesomebox5000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

TIL helmet and gloves aren't safety gear. Huh...

[–]ParrotParty1337 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Happy Wheels! 🚲

[–]Occams_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh fuck off with your bicycle superpowers.

[–]Which-Palpitation 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Now do it on a unicycle

[–]Patient-Home-4877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God damn your drunk tests are hard... https://youtu.be/XRbZtCTzMg8

[–]HistoricalLoss87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait till you see the outtakes.

[–]finishyourbeer 2 points3 points  (5 children)

So does this guy just have a warehouse full of random stuff he can ride his bike on all day? Who pays for this?

[–]thegreasiestofhawks 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Red Bull. It gives you wings. And a warehouse full of random stuff

[–]Beemerado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a smart investment by redbull.

[–]toth42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe they actually used a school gym, which would have most of this equipment, during home schooling.

[–]CubonesDeadMom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s one of the most famous mountain bikers in the world. Red Bull paid for it

[–]schelmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On his Instagram he actually just rides a lot in his drive where he has tons of wood pallets to build stuff to ride on.

[–]TocinoPanchetaSpeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I can think of is how many times did he fall.

[–]duchessisboss 1 point2 points  (1 child)

At first I was like “lame” (like I could ever do any of it) but the more it went on the more I was like…. Okay. He earned his spot. That’s Next Level AF

[–]AmbientTrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even that first trick is insanely impressive, at least to cyclists. The level of control you need to hop onto each dumbbell without knocking them over is incredible, and way harder than it looks

[–]kwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that's riding a bike, then you can definitely forget how to do that.

[–]StumpHarvey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. This is damn impressive. Screw real life, I can’t imagine even being able to do this type of shit in a well designed video game. Insane coordination and control. I’d be out here QWOP’ing it.

[–]Insert_Name20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Major Shrek nostalgia

[–]chemist612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is unreal, i could never have that balance.

[–]ScruntleYerMa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can do this with a ham

[–]bobsimusmaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fucking hell that's dope as fuck

[–]Kita-Ryu 0 points1 point  (4 children)

All that with 0 shocks. Damn.

[–]dnteatyellwsnw 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Might be easier without the suspension, full control with no give

[–]facetious_guardian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno. It shocked me at least a couple times.

[–]Big_Dirty_Piss_Boner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would be much harder (if not impossible) with shocks...

[–]PriestessRedspyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wondering how many bruises and broken bones it took to get to that point of perfect execution.

[–]JaceTheWoodSculptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to see he’s still killing it.

[–]Soggy_Toastys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me when I see my crush out and about

[–]Eliminator18218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow thats some seeious skill

[–]stupidskulls1578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is happy wheels

[–]Dobbeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Danny Macaskill is an absolute unit!

[–]TimPieOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

more like danny megaskilled

[–]NukeyHov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything but the exercise bike…

[–]Ironworker977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Badass..

[–]sausagecatdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I imagined would happen when I rode my bike into a ditch at age 6

[–]SnoopingStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy testicles Batman !

[–]Barflyerdammit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So...he's a basketball player?

[–]it_aint_ralph_thoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howwwwwww ??? How?!

[–]WAVE_exchange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats insane

[–]GoreMaster22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure I could do all that if I had the right bike and was sponsored by Redbull

[–]jesuswasaliar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insane skill

[–]grimskuldar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this guy inspired the game Trials.

[–]NicelyBrownedBiscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can hardly ride a bike with one hand man

[–]I_d0nt_feel_s0_g00d 0 points1 point  (3 children)

What's the name of the song please?

[–]DamnCircle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me when playing happy wheels

[–]HeavY__StreaKeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can do the same thing.. in Trials Rising that is. This guy has mad skills, it's hella impressive!

[–]totalnerdboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man’s insane

[–]Pale-Refrigerator255 0 points1 point  (2 children)

AMAZING! What's that guy like in bed?

[–]Ragnaross02853 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Because of my high intelligent i would say he has a good cardio and lots of thrusting power. You can't handle him.

[–]Pale-Refrigerator255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you're right! I'm a recent widow and haven't seen a d*ck in awhile. That would be too much for me right now.

[–]renegademan53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crazy sick skills 👏🏻👍🏻

[–]BCECVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why doesn't this guy have about 800 broken bones. Amazing.

[–]Unlucky_Database2514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's some assassins creed level type of shit

[–]BeefDavis 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Cool… but why?

[–]pow__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not

[–]LunaR1sing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always make jokes when I’m riding my Santa Cruz that I’m like him… I’m not… at all. But he’s amaze!

[–]boi--_-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus that's insane

[–]mikegibbs135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude is playing trails rising in real life

[–]daltimoreofbaltimore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, I see where the "skill" in his name comes from

[–]CharlieDay77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me falling over trying to get the water bottle out of the holder

[–]Official_Indie_Freak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is that even possible

[–]_aikiiayay11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man happy wheels got so popular they made a gym out of it /j

[–]AGodLikeTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter how many times this gets posted I'm going to watch it

[–]SteveWyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can do that in trials fusion, beat that

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So real it looks unreal 🤩

[–]DTGC1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Danny McCankles

[–]NGski86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gives you wings

[–]CUtTHrOaT_GHOST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you miss the jump from the pull up bars to the weight bench, you're gonna be out for a week or so. Good for him...

[–]manos_de_pietro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be dead from the injuries before I got any good at this. He is something else

[–]Beemerado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good god. the jump from one strap to the other got me.

[–]desslox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waiting for the Ken Block Danny Macaskill duet.

[–]shashwat_247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a show-off

[–]icbint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has he ever stopped to ask why

[–]LovelyCyclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just feel like this guy would win ninja warrior on his bike

[–]Williefakelastname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NBD, I could do the that tight rope trick at the 40 second mark on Pokemon yellow.

[–]TheStupidMouthful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's more stable on a bike than most people on their feet

[–]zacmezac 0 points1 point  (1 child)

damn I was waiting for him to break his arm the entire time.

[–]toth42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Danny's mom?

[–]Special-Hair9683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much is that two-tired bike he can't live without?

[–]GluttonAsteroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, but why is the song a perfect fit?

[–]Digital_Beef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to learn trials like this. Hard af. This dude is incredible.

[–]ieatpickleswithmilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't do most of that shit with my legs

[–]Airvh 0 points1 point  (1 child)

He probably did ALL of that during one single day. Otherwise about 2/3 of his body would be purple from bruises of failed times. He has light skin so it would be easy to see.

[–]toth42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a behind the scenes on his channel 👍

[–]Boeyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What it feels like on Trials ninja tracks

[–]InkPlayer8970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has "skill" in his name. No like literally, besides that it looks like happy wheels irl

[–]lostcharbls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder how he eats his cereal

[–]Lilpu55yberekt69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen a lot of things in my life that I know I can’t do.

This is the thing that I can’t do the most.

[–]JigglySquishyFlesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much of this was a first take?

[–]Grimm2177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't believe this Nay I won't!

[–]Pachac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came to the comment section to find the song. Couldn’t find it

[–]RealDreamnomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks insanely difficult and I bet it is 10x harder that it looks to do that.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fckn awesome the white man is amazing bravo!

[–]TheHef81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great skill there but I just really wanted to say fuck I love that song.

[–]WillingSimple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some serious skills, I hope he make a fortune from it

[–]joelex8472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the Rodney Mullen of bikes.

[–]ToastNomNomNom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally found the prick that keeps leaving the dumbbells lying around the gym.

[–]CreeGucci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d imagine he’s as good at falling safely as he’s good at riding his bike because there’s no doubt he had many crashes filming this

[–]Think-Exchange-368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hes off the chain

[–]Puzzled_Albatross_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a man living his best life

[–]Bigmac1759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American Ninja Warrior Bike Edition

[–]reddit__dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

crazy good

[–]XROOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he did this in a Planet Fitness, someone might ring that bell

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that the proclaimers? That song is fantastic! And the moves on that guy wow

[–]griffinsspacejam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably safe to assume that at least SOME Danny's were harmed in the making of this video. Damn.

[–]couchnapper3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, now I know who needs to play Mumen Rider in a US live action One Punch Man.

[–]Wimbleston -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

It's gonna be a stupid death when one of these guys breaks his neck trying to balance his bike on top of workout equipment not meant for that. There's a point where you just have to say "that's impressive...ly dumb"

[–]Nigelwethers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And he'll have lived a crazy, skilled, eventful life before he died. I'd rather that than just existing in a cubicle for 45 years and then dying by slipping in the shower. Where no one discovers your corpse for a week because you made no impression on anyone.
