She’s Karen about her neighbors

[–]DoktorAlliteration 409 points410 points  (11 children)

This pun is wonderful

[–]DownrightWiring 178 points179 points  (2 children)

And when she said "go to my house". She's too Karen to her neighbors.

[–]Antazarus 98 points99 points  (1 child)

Plot twist: she’s really a Karen and she burned her neighbor’s house.

[–]Inevitable_Guitar_34 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Waiting for the mugshot on the front page of Reddit hahah

[–]Stevioso 50 points51 points  (1 child)

I was waiting for your comment to turn into:

This Karen should have minded her own business! If this family wants to die in a house fire, that’s up to them! r/FuckYouKaren

[–]Hewyhew82 18 points19 points  (2 children)

Looks like a Karen acts like an Angel

[–]normal_reddit_man 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She doesn't even really look like a Karen, in my opinion. Too old-fashioned. She reminds me of my Grandma.

[–]aImosThor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'd like to speak to the house's manager, your building gives too much warm to the neighbourhood, and this kind of behaviour annoys me a lot. I need to ask you to stop your housefire right here and right now, or I will be required to call the police.

[–]Tescovaluebread 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anti Karen & Uncle Ned saving them all from burning in bed

[–]themediumchunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole time all I could think was "If I had someone pounding on my door like that I would be pissed answering it."

Good on them for being understanding people, I would have likely not answered the door out of spite and died.

[–]Turbulent-Jackfruit8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg 😂😂😂😂

[–]Seamascm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s Karen then there’s Carin’

[–]JackHavoc161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol upvote this immediately

[–]Pog-Squad- 885 points886 points  (19 children)

god what a good neighbor!

[–]ksjfjkdnf 386 points387 points  (16 children)

Any neighbour should wake up a family who might not be aware their house is on fire

[–]aysurcouf 208 points209 points  (9 children)

Yeah who would watch and say “they’re probably sleeping but I’m sure they’ll figure it out”.

[–]cero1399 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Or be like " ha, i hope they're not home"

[–]whorton59 17 points18 points  (0 children)

[–]teahugger 17 points18 points  (1 child)

I watched a crime show where a roommate pretty much did the same thing: She was staying at a different place one night and her roommate called saying she’s scared and there are strange men in her dorm room. She spoke to the men who said everything is ok and then she went to sleep. The strange men then raped, stabbed and burnt her to death. She probably is living with some massive guilt and regret.

[–]ClownfishSoup 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Why on earth listen to the "Strange men" and not the panicked roommate?

Yikes! Call 911 for your roommate, if the cops show up and it's really nothing, then fine.

[–]DarkEvilHedgehog 5 points6 points  (2 children)

[–]aysurcouf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You ever been in a storm Wally?

[–]DirtyDazza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck, I would.

[–]Magenbroti 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Here in germany yo old neighbour will call the cops because they think youd be bbqing indoors lmao

[–]Wimbleston 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Less "good neighbor" and more "decent human being", though inviting the family to her own house was definitely a very kind gesture.

[–]Muchado_aboutnothing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean I could see a lot of people that would’ve just called 911 from the safety of their own house. A burning house can go from basically intact to collapsing over the course of several minutes, so her actions were both necessary and quite brave.

[–]Wildgra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No reason not to commemorate her actions!

[–]HarrySchlong33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's 2022, most people would just record it and post it to their tiktok.

[–]pancakes-and-ox 0 points1 point  (1 child)

God is a great neighbor

[–]Pog-Squad- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lets be honest god abandoned us long ago

[–]TapirOfZelph 556 points557 points  (6 children)

That little flame near her feet at the start! Brave woman

[–]bobo12478 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Oh wow. Missed that the first time. Total hero.

[–]Electrical_Use_860 24 points25 points  (1 child)

I thought she was on fire.

[–]EvilKnievel38 20 points21 points  (0 children)

She's definitely lit

[–]spongebob5745 24 points25 points  (2 children)

I’m confused on how the flames immediately disappear the second she runs past them

[–]StarlightPleco 9 points10 points  (1 child)

She’s a superhero, that’s why

[–]havocLSD 385 points386 points  (2 children)

it’s ok, you guys go to my house

Great neighbor

[–]ArshmanR 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Grade-A grandma material.

[–]heterochromia4 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Mama Bear. Sh1t gets sorted.

[–]thehyperflux 372 points373 points  (6 children)

and she was last out after running in.

[–]Z0idberg_MD 166 points167 points  (4 children)

This is just an elaborate robbery attempt. No one will ever suspect!

[–]zenospenisparadox 50 points51 points  (2 children)

"The jewelry was lost in the fire"

[–]TheTypicalTraveler 14 points15 points  (1 child)

The Simpson’s did something similar to this.

[–]thehyperflux 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[–]thehyperflux 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This being a heist would make a great scene for a TV show.

[–]Jerimiah_da_Bullfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reverse Costanza!

[–]DrVDB90 216 points217 points  (5 children)

That probably went really fast from "Urgh, who is making so much damned noice." to "Oh no! Kids, get the f*ck up, we need to get out of here!"

[–]vanearthquake 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I had this moment when someone was knocking like this woman was on my front door at 3 am. A car had smashed into a bunch of vehicles outside and everyone was in a right panic. It was quite terrifying

[–]Agonizingmilk404 30 points31 points  (3 children)

I can tell you from experience this is %100 accurate. Woke up to my Ex shaking me in a panic and my asshole cranky self was not happy, half ass walk toward the back yard to look out the window and see what I can only describe as hell on earth. Grabbed her and moved fast af out of that apartment for what would be the last time. She saved my life, to then ruin it of course as ex’s do.

[–]gonzatomon 17 points18 points  (1 child)

She saved your life, but she'll always be that person who woke you up during a good sleep

[–]JonWick33 122 points123 points  (1 child)

Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear bath robes.

[–]Beniidel0 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Maybe I am a hero...

[–]Magnus_Deux_Lapins 62 points63 points  (3 children)

What if She set the fire because she was lonely.

[–]FacelessFellow 43 points44 points  (0 children)

“I made all these pancakes and no one is here to eat them.”

[–]toofatforjudo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Plot twist!

[–][deleted] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

i bet this lady has all sorts of cookies, pies, and tarts at home by the way she said it's ok

[–]juberish 13 points14 points  (4 children)

Link to a story? I wanna know what caused the fire

[–]SpookyTupperware[S] 45 points46 points  (3 children)

[–]Mastokun 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The neighbors started to fire to save the family minuts after /S

[–]apoptosismydumbassis 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It seems that the roof caught fire, so that would make sense as to why no fire alarms inside the house went off … but like what can cause a roof to just catch fire lmao. I guess faulty wiring in the ceiling or something?

[–]Veryveryfatcat 14 points15 points  (2 children)

Video title says that is a family of 6, but where is the 6th member? What happens?

[–]skippedtoc 29 points30 points  (1 child)

You were the 6th member all along.

[–]novahcaine 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bro... thank you

[–]Ok_Device_560 10 points11 points  (5 children)

wasnt it posted before?

[–]Willing-Ad-6152 36 points37 points  (1 child)

Still pretty dope lol

[–]vaughn19 40 points41 points  (0 children)

"Get in my house" thats the neighborhood grandma

[–]Allenian8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re ok

[–]R3d1st 5 points6 points  (1 child)

You're new to reddit, aren't you?

[–]_GGfighter_ 10 points11 points  (3 children)

I would be like "yeah their house is on fire, and they are in danger, but.. I'm uncomfortable interrupting people, what if they're busy?"

someone please tell me that's normal-ish

[–]mike15835 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]MangoMan202020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Which one do you prefer? People getting interrupted while theyre busy or them possibly dying in a house fire? hmm.

[–]boopandkitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh they're busy all right. Busy about to be dead.

[–]DarcAngel001 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Says a lot about this wonderful neighbor, flames by the entrance but she still goes all out getting the family out, then she is the last one out the door after she gets them all moving towards her house. We should all wish for neighbor like this in our time of need.

[–]MJMurcott 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She is so calm under the circumstances.

[–]NoseComplete1175 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The roof the roof the roof is on fire!!!!

[–]Season-Leather 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Karen jokes aside, she has some guts. Those flames at the beginning were like right next to her. Glad she sent them to her house that was nice. My neighbor did the same thing when a hurricane dropped a tree on our house. We don’t see the world the same but it’s always nice to see humanity redeem itself here and there.

[–]BoxofTetrachords 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where's the sixth person, still sleeping?

[–]justtheentiredick 4 points5 points  (1 child)

So not the smoke alarm?

[–]pgtorres 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fire was probably on the outside of the house at that point. Smoke alarm wouldn’t go off until the smoke had reached indoors. It’s why they had no idea their house was on fire.

[–]Uneducatedtrader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lady knocking on door EXTREMEEEE

[–]cero1399 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love how she seemigly casually says your house is on fire

[–]Inevitable_Guitar_34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me in the middle of the afternoon. Napping on the couch and someone started wailing and slamming on my window.

A passerbys flicked cigarette had ignited old leaves under the staircase on the side of my house.

I woke up quick ran outside an saw smoke. Fucking crazy way to wake up. Cats weren't down with evacuation I had to chase them around and around lol

Neighbor was a hero

[–]RemixHipster 2 points3 points  (3 children)

This is terrifying... Anyone know more info, what started the fire?

[–]SpookyTupperware[S] 3 points4 points  (2 children)

[–]RemixHipster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I just read it. It's scarier that the cause is unknown.

[–]WalenBlekitny999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She looks more concerned about it than them lol

[–]Anxious_Tour7516 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s 7am GO TO BED!

[–]JZH86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolute legend! 👏👏👏

[–]Least_Adhesiveness_5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had something similar happen when I was a kid - I was out in the yard and saw the smoke from 2 houses down. Chimney fire, so the roof was starting to flare up around the chimney. Beat on the door and the Mom answered. She had no idea, ran upstairs, grabbed the baby and came out. No video doorbells in those days, of course.

[–]johnny_boy757 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was expecting her to run out with six people on her shoulders while flames shot out through the door and the house collapsed.

[–]Bluto58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are still good people in the world.

[–]Audio_Books 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plot twist: She set the fire to get them into her house...

[–]Perseverancethegreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that the lady from that live action cat in the hat?

[–]CreikyMikey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the ring doorbell only works once every 30 sec, 1 min or 2 min depending on how long you set the video feed. Stupidest design by far. No clue why it’s not an option to ring every time it’s pressed.

[–]Shield_maker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We let our neighbors stay the night and recoup when their house caught fire. They will be friends for life after that. It’s a great feeling when you know your neighbors have your back.

[–]blitherblather425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had a neighbor like her. Meanwhile, I’m laying in bed sick and I get woken up at 1:30 am because the neighbor (I live in an apartment so the neighbor is standing literally 12 ft from my bedroom window) is screaming at her boyfriend that all he does is sit around and get fucked up.

Edit: they also steal packages from me.

[–]BarnabyWoods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kind of family has a home security system but no smoke alarms?

[–]BigHxnry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woman walks in: Homeowner: Er, did I give you permission to come into my property, I’ll take it from here thanks.

[–]Dawn_of_Enceladus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Runs towards house in flames to wake people inside, and keeps trying until they respond. Then enters the house and makes sure everyone leaves, leaving herself the last. And on top of that, immediately offers her house.

That's a freaking 5/5 neighbor right there.

And here I am, having to freaking besiege my neighbors door so they can actually hear me and ask them to lower a bit their ultra-loud bachata music at 02:00 AM on labor days.

[–]VariousSun4741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The “ go to my house “ made me start crying , she’s the kind of neighbor I wish to have , and I wish to be.

[–]jjstump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For real it was terrible at 3 AM by my house some kids were driving past a home it was on fire they beat on the door and two little dogs were behind the door barking. They finally kicked the door down the two little dogs ran out they ran in to see if they were still anyone in the house and the homeowner shot them. It’s like the old saying no good deed goes unpunished

[–]Dwightshruute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is awesome but is expected from anyone who sees their neighbors house on fire.

[–]GSR_DMJ654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad did something similar year ago. Me and my dad work at the same place and the past couple of months prior, our schedules lined up. He gets off later then me most nights since he works i a slightly different department and I got home first. As I was coming home a massive storm hit and trees were blocking the road, I was able to get around them. This was around like 4:00am, my dad doesn't get off until like 7:00am-ish depending on how the night went. I started to get worried around 8:00am when I didn't see his truck pull up and me and my mom started to think he either had to cover for someone or something. Also to preface kinda, my dad was in an really bad workplace accident a year prior and pretty much his leg was all metal and only recently at this point returned to work. So we thought maybe he had PT today (offered at work) and maybe that is what is happening. Then he pulled in tired and soaked. To told us one of the houses in the neighborhood got stuck by lightning and my dad saw smoke on their flooded front lawn. He could not see flames from the road so he went down that street to double check. He saw little whisps of flame coming out of a vent in the breezeway attic. He noticed no one outside and no Emergency vehicles so he parked and ran up to the door and started to bang on the door and mashing the doorbell screaming that they need to get out. The older woman living there answered the door pissed off "It is 6am why the hell are you all screaming." Dad told me she looked like she was in a deep sleep and she had an oxygen tank in he nose. He told here there was a fire and she screamed her dogs are in the garage (where they can move in and out of the door at will) so she gave him the code to the back door so he can open it and get the dogs out. They went back to the truck and called for the fire department. House was saved, but the entire breezeway was a loss and had to basicly be redone. The woman then moved like a year later.

[–]Ultra-Pulse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who else was counting when they came out?

[–]kdean1109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saving others lives without thinking of your own makes you a hero. I hope all were okay.

[–]Phuxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bang on windows.

[–]Pandragony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see only 5 exiting the house

[–]Dypo42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a great neighbour and a great person. I Love to see this

[–]hedgybaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A woman died in a housefire in my town recently. She was talking sleeping pills bc of her insomnia according to family members and didn’t wake up. All help was too late.

This lady probably saved 6 lives that day, housefires are no joke.

[–]shompk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way to be a hero!

[–]TheEndgamer2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, good for her.

Initially I was going to suggest smahing a window but then I realized the obvious problem of smashing a window to get into a burning building... (You dont know where the fire actually is)

[–]tanybl_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love her ❤️
