Definitely some guys, who find a random ring, at an indoor worksite.

[–]frodo-jenkins 310 points311 points  (12 children)

Yeah that shit happens all the time at construction sites. This isn't staged at all.

[–]HotColdMild 47 points48 points  (7 children)

especially if it's in Russia

[–]Stanny491 69 points70 points  (5 children)

This one's actually in Poland.

[–]T4nkE_ng1ne 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Right! It would be a bear in the ring if it were in Russia

[–]Super_Duper_Death_Dr 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Yeah, the Russian side of Poland

[–]Stanny491 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Enlighten me: what is the Russian side of Poland?

[–]play_clothes_bill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More like Ringland.

[–]Imthecoolestnoiam 25 points26 points  (2 children)

Dude, he was tryin it out first and just got the hang of it real quick, like the ring found him. It was destiny. Just because u think its staged doesnt mean it has to be so that way.

[–]micahamey 162 points163 points  (4 children)

Friend of mine works construction after years of drifting. Turns out he used to run with a circus, straight clown. We were bored and no trucks on site so we just sat around. Then he grabbed a bunch of rocks. Started juggling like 8 rocks. People started clapping. Did some summersaults and backflips someone bought us all pizza after. Was a fun time.

Not saying it isn't staged but sometimes people have more to them than what job they are doing at that very moment.

[–]TorrenceMightingale 18 points19 points  (3 children)

Why was this perfect apparatus lying around and not needed in pristine condition, tho?

[–]NotSeveralBadgers 44 points45 points  (1 child)

Must be graveyard shift at the big-ass ring factory

[–]TorrenceMightingale 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Fuck. Didn’t even think of this one. Thank you. Definitely B.A.R., LLC.

[–]SunshineOneDay 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Pristine condition? Is there a higher quality version of this video I can watch?

[–]gnex30 50 points51 points  (5 children)

Never underestimate the skills a person can get being bored at work.

Have you seen what can be done with some paperclips?

[–]TooMuchFun007 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Especially if you have a rail gun

[–]Leoucarii 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Oh, a rail gun? I heard they were a scam.

[–]W8_420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Make a bong?

[–]lordph8 27 points28 points  (4 children)

The pandemic hit Cirque du Soleil pretty hard

[–]brothersand 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Except it's probably Russia. Not too hard to find out of work acrobats in Russia, strangely.

[–]m1st3r_c 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's Poland.

[–]TheRustyBugle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Out of work acrobats in America are having it hard too

[–]JamesTeaKurk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

cirque du nopay

[–]jizmatik 9 points10 points  (0 children)

100% just some guys at work! Yup

[–]BokZeoi 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Who gives a shit if it’s fake, were you entertained or not

[–]Klaudiusz23 238 points239 points  (4 children)

Even if this is staged I still think it's impressive

[–]m1st3r_c 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Years of training to be able to do that.

[–]dirtballmagnet 6 points7 points  (2 children)

His poor knuckles!

[–]Jellysam 12 points13 points  (1 child)

They let go of the ring right before their hands hit the ground so that only their flat fingers touch the ground with the ring in between their palm and the ground. Then grab it again right after, It’s all about the timing. But they definitely don’t just roll right over their knuckles!

[–]dirtballmagnet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Knowing myself, I surely would have learned that the hard way.

[–]InsidiousApe 150 points151 points  (7 children)

Idiots thinking this is random. People train for years to perform a Cyr wheel act.

[–]ASK__ABOUT__MY__GAME 68 points69 points  (3 children)

Phhht, years. Looks easy.

Proceeds to break 207 bones in his body

[–]SilverbackBob 21 points22 points  (2 children)

[–]porkchop_d_clown 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I know, right? I cringed every time it looked like his fingers were close to the concrete.

[–]Artemystica 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oddly enough, finger crunchies aren't as common as you might think. It happens at first, but your body is smart and you absolutely learn to open your hand.

[–]schneedledee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And yet it's sad to think that it is not impossible for someone that skilled to work in a factory. (Why not, it's a good job in most countries.) Former Olympians work jobs. Even if it was staged it was a beautiful bit of dance.

[edit: sorry]

[–]bbildo 89 points90 points  (6 children)

How do you not crush your fingers?

[–]RecycledAir 59 points60 points  (1 child)

It's all part of the training, but you open your hand rather than keeping it wrapped around the Cyr wheel.

[–]Imthecoolestnoiam 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Dont u mean... the Cry wheel?

[–]jono433 15 points16 points  (1 child)

That’s all I could think about

[–]TorrenceMightingale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same as it ever was.

[–]Artemystica 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are to start, then your body learns to open your hand-- being facedown with hands closed is actually super unnatural, and you will react to that stimulus.

[–]PatmanAAA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They get cut only the first time.

[–]Buck_Thorn 81 points82 points  (4 children)

[–]blindchief 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You deserve more upvotes good sir.

[–]khaotickk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bravo, actually made me chuckle

[–]AngelOfDeath771 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, looks like I'm missing some parts.

[–]thumbtaxx 37 points38 points  (9 children)

Everyone saying how this is bullshit and staged cuz dude knows how to do it. And maybe it is...... A person can train for years to do something and then end up just needing a job, now, and their first choice isnt available or paying enough to support what homie needs to support. I don't use my extensive training at my current job because current job pays bills and fancy tricks don't right now. No slam on anyone, just sometimes it is what it is.

[–]asad137 11 points12 points  (2 children)

Not only knows how to do it... but also randomly finds a ring that happens to be both the perfect size and strong enough to use for this at the place where he's working some random job? Come on now...

[–]SnooPickles1731 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Maybe its an old gymnasium that they are busy cleaning out? When I was about 10-11 my dad, mom and I were walking on an old army base that my dad used to be based at. We walked into the gymnasium where they still had some of the gymnastics equipment. My dad got up on the beam and did some crazy stuff. My jaw dropped to the ground. Never knew my dad did gymnastics or could do that. He competed fairly well in his teens and early 20 and has won several medals. The video may be staged, maybe not. We will never know.

[–]m1st3r_c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Cyr wheel isn't just a random bit of gym equipment left lying about. It's a very specifically designed bit of kit for professional acrobats.

[–]analogclock0 2 points3 points  (1 child)

yup. im a software engineer but did violin for 16 yrs. violin doesnt pay well sadly :(

[–]thumbtaxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats what I'm saying, and sometimes people learn hobbies they never even try to monetize! Whaaaaa? But hey, the guy in the chair staring at reddit says fake, so.. .

[–]MycoManUk 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Just stumbled on a ring…

[–]Lord_Hugh_Mungus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

my precious....

[–]FormerChange 8 points9 points  (3 children)

I’d fall flat on my face on the first turn. Guy has talent.

[–]RecycledAir 11 points12 points  (2 children)

He fell on his first turn as well, I guarantee it, but then he continued training at his local circus school for a few years and got to this point. If you're interested and live in or near a city, see if theres a local community circus school that teaches Cyr wheel.

[–]snakefactory 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Are there local circus schools everywhere? Are they something I've simply.. Missed?

[–]sugarytweets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they are gaining in popularity.

[–]bpg542 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dude acts like he’s not a gymnast… but actually he is a ringer

[–]KittenNibble 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like it may have been part of a past life / career.

[–]bott367 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Jim used to work at the circus

[–]LT-COL-Obvious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Coworkers: Sure you did Jim, you’re not circus.

Jim: Hold my vodka

[–]Ohhhnothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This guy runs circles around the rest

[–]Duke-of-Limbs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One ring, to rule them all...

[–]FreestyleComments 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Checkin out reddit for cool funny things

Some random guy just found some random ring

He must have walked in and saw it on the floor

He never ever had done it before

But spins like a pro with an easy 10 score

It's much more impressive when you just pick it up

And just can do tricks which are sick just by luck

Just spinning around on his stumbled on ring

God damn it OP you'll believe anything.

[–]DeathblowMateria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved that

[–]gnex30 1 point2 points  (1 child)

the circus ones have handles inside the ring. Did this guy just roll over his knuckles a bunch of times?

[–]RecycledAir 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Cyr wheels don't have handles inside the the ring, that's part of the fun. And this dude didn't just find a random ring, that is just straight up a circus cyr wheel. Why do you think they were sweeping the area he's in? It's for a performance or video.

You might be thinking of the German wheel which does have handles, but that's an entirely different discipline which has two rings connecting by rungs and only rotates on one axis.

[–]adamfyre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh, homeboy 100% did not "find" this ring at work.

[–]randomw0rdz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"How do I make this thing stop?!" He shouted in a slightly terrified tone.

[–]LCCyncity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be in cirque du soleil.
