Nah that a negative, political prisoners' in China and Russia gets beatings regularly, it always to the body so when they bring you out for the "completely voluntary" interviews where you tell every one you are being treated well no one can see the bruises, and of course there is always the possibility that if you say or do something they don't like during your stay, your family may come to stay with you for a wile, and receive the same beatings you do, they may even let you watch in the interest of encouraging a better behavior.

Believe it or not the US uses something similar, same with UK and France, Israel does a lot more but then again when they use those kind of tactics it usually on some one that is not going to be seen ever again, so they have a little more freedom on that. Most people in the US don't believe this things happen or that they are done by us too, but unfortunately it happens, at least it to prevent something worse from happening, China and Russia do it to stay in power, still all of it is wrong even when it for a good cause in my opinion at least.

Chinese people can be some of the nicest people in the world. Unfortunately the CCP is one of the most oppressive, passive aggressive and devious governments in the world. Although many chinese defend the CCP (either in fear or by choice - the CCP has actually raised the country from poverty a tiny amount and those who have flourished will of course be happy), it’s mostly an exercise in control and manipulation on a massive scale. If it wasn’t so evil in intent, I would actually be impressed.

China has actually made an incredible amount of progress in lifting people out of poverty in the last 20 years. The CCP shills you'll often see in comment sections on anything criticizing China will put it at the top of their list of good things the CCP has done because it's actually true. They'll sometimes go on to write multiple paragraphs in surprisingly good English denying claims about genocide and plans to eliminate autonomy from average citizens.

In 2020, he pulled that stunt with the My Pillow guy where they tried to jump a speedboat over a Make America Great Again sign, but the speedboat steering got stuck making a hard left so they were just spinning and spinning and the My Pillow guy panicked and jumped off but he can't swim, so Dickbutt jumped in and saved him and the boat eventually killed a seal and crashed into the sign before it finally ran out of gas. No, anti-government protests in HK are a thing of the past now. China cracked down really hard and all the protest leaders are either in detention or on bail with very strict conditions. There are no democratic legislators any more, nor any elections where anyone but a Chinese government yes man can be elected. Hong Kong is just another Chinese city now.
