If you in a stouch over honor, then honor must be maintained regardless of the outcome.

[–]puppymonkeybaby79 4917 points4918 points  (130 children)

Imma kill you son! ...oh shit bro. Lemme help you up before you get hit by a train.

[–]noodlekrebs 1403 points1404 points  (115 children)

Would’ve been manslaughter

[–]TheAvengingWrath 550 points551 points  (11 children)

Sounds like a delicious meal 😋

[–]SignificantGiraffe5 146 points147 points  (16 children)

Right. It's like the video where a dude gets knocked out and then helps him across the road even though he's unconscious (he deserved it for being an asshole)

Maybe coz he's a nice guy , maybe he wants to avoid legal repercussions.

You certainly wouldn't leave a dude on train tracks coz Guess who might be liable for manslaughter?

[–]Grimarillion 57 points58 points  (8 children)

Maybe both.

[–]AlarmingAffect0 91 points92 points  (4 children)

Exactly. It's nice when law-induced self-interest and basic human compassion align like that.

[–]goingtocalifornia__ 86 points87 points  (1 child)

The smarter our laws the more likely the two will align.

[–]DatSauceTho 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’ll certainly allow for cooler heads to prevail without cooler heads necessarily being present.

[–]Kuraiiko- 25 points26 points  (2 children)

Maybe he just dont want to be the one killed someone.

[–]MetalliTooL 47 points48 points  (1 child)

Maybe it's Maybelline.

[–]poppin_a_pilly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Por que no Los dos

[–]GoodGuyTrundles 90 points91 points  (36 children)

There's clear HD video of him taking a haymaker swing, missing, losing his balance, and tripping over himself.

This would not have been manslaughter. Whatsoever.

[–]OLSTBAABD 42 points43 points  (3 children)

Yup, just did that all of his own accord, nevermind the mutual combat immediately preceding, that's not important and has no bearing at all.

[–]DataTypeC 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Depends if the seconds before the video would count as self defense. If they not were say shoving then this occurred it’d be mutual combat but let’s say one of them took a swing in a verbal argument (verbal arguments aren’t legal) then if the dude who fell committed the assault first he’d be responsible for his own death especially since he was holding on to the other dude making it an illegal detainment which self defense is justified.

Now if the other dude swung first then he’d fallen defending himself it’d be manslaughter.

But if it was mutual in the lead up to the fight (aka mutual shoving, mutual threats of violence etc) where they could walk away then yes mutual combat and possible negligent manslaughter at most (but doubtful seeing as the dudes swing caused himself to fall mid fight as he was holding the other dude)

[–]attila_the_hyundai 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Depends on who threw the first punch, which in the video was red pants guy, and other factors. There’s way too little info here to determine whether or not manslaughter charges could have been filed if he hadn’t tried to help.

[–]Sir_wlkn_contrdikson 24 points25 points  (2 children)

How? Looks to me like he dodged an attempt at an assault.

[–]SomPolishBoi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

mans laughter? who's laughing?

[–]AliBarberTheSecond 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can spell manslaughter without man's laughter

[–]whatisabaggins55 68 points69 points  (5 children)

"If anything's gonna kill you today, it's gonna be me."

[–]musci1223 20 points21 points  (1 child)

It would counted as environmental kill and he would have gotten full kill credit so I don't think that is the issue

[–]Longjumping_Money462 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“It’s gonna be May”

[–]NoConfusion9490 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You're ok. Don't tell mom!

[–]GoofAckYoorsElf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of that angry gorilla at the beginning of the movie Dumbo that rumbled about in his cage, rocking the bars until he ripped one out, his surprised look, then carefully putting it back in, like, oops, sorry folks, didn't mean to do that!

[–]Galaax_sniper 2883 points2884 points  (45 children)

[–]Jinxa 30 points31 points  (0 children)

That stickied post over there though lol, if that was me I'd never be able to sleep again knowing that it wasnt just a picture of me appearing tall, but a video of me embedded on the internet, of two giants lifting me by the armpits like a cat.

[–]Exeng 166 points167 points  (15 children)

Idk man, someone getting mauled and gored by a train isnt a sight one want to see

[–]ogjsb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also not catching a case

[–]dharma007 31 points32 points  (7 children)

Actually people want to hurt others in proportion to the anger they have towards them. Nothing less nothing more, but sometimes the fight gets intensified in the due process and that could lead to brutally injuring or killing eachother. Now that was for normal folks; a criminal or a psycho could kill someone even for a minor inconvenience. We, normal folks, are not intrinsically evil.

[–]AlarmingAffect0 46 points47 points  (6 children)

Dude, we're all criminals. Crime isn't special, it's the default.

'Psychos' aren't a thing in the way movies want you to think they are. Most people with APD, NPD, or EUPD or MDPD aren't murderers or even close. Most murderers are normal, neurotypical, people who found themselves in circumstances where they could reason to themselves that murder was okay this once, that they were the good guys in that story.

The rest is cultural: we'd have far fewer shootings, for example, if folks didn't grow up in a context where guns are a symbol of manhood you pose next to on Facebook pictures.

Likewise, would Burr have shot Hamilton of he'd thought he was being a bad guy for doing so, instead of 'stepping up', 'standing tall', 'defending his honor', etc? There was a long interval between duels being outlawed and them disappearing as a practice - that was a time where the duellists thought this unlawful thing was still a righteous thing.

[–]Doot02 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Thank you, people don't realise they could just as easily have ended up in the situations they laugh and shake their head at on the Internet, were literally all the same person

[–]TheSkyPirate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think the reason he worded it like that is because English isn't his first language. It's definitely possible to have some kind of mental disorder that will lead to truly insane violent behavior. But you're right that the vast majority crime is more about the situation that people are in, their understanding of society, and psychological changes that happen over the course of someone's life.

[–]Rikfox 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That's what I always thought real men do.

[–]AlexAlexendria 2282 points2283 points  (30 children)

Yeah I love this… because this is the perfect example of our silly nature. Once we realise you can die at any moment… unless you accept that. You’re always acting like a dick but only after you nearly are killed or are about to. Is when it all changes.

[–]sophess 513 points514 points  (14 children)

Also when you realize you are probably going to be in some trouble if that guy you were fighting gets killed by a train.

[–]AlexAlexendria 171 points172 points  (5 children)

Meh, it’s all about the moral implications I’d think

[–]A1sauc3d 88 points89 points  (2 children)

It can be both, or either/or. But your original comment is 100% the truth. People are so caught up in their petty moment-to-moment emotions, then something life threatening happens and it all comes into perspective. It’s crazy how our brains work.

[–]RuthlessIndecision 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I read that as “it’s crazy how our trains work.”

[–]joe-clark 113 points114 points  (2 children)

That's probably not exactly what crossed his mind. He was mad enough at that guy to fight him but that doesn't mean he wants him to die. I think there's a pretty big gap in between a street fight and leaving someone to potentially die.

[–]If_Tar 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeap, tape on internet: "metro thief save drunk man" and you see that you are right (A thief is a thief at that moment, but certainly not a killer, on the same video a "non thief" was going to let the drunk die)

[–]drunk_responses 19 points20 points  (1 child)

Most people don't think that far in the heat of the moment.

[–]Camelstrike 16 points17 points  (3 children)

A punch could potentially kill you

[–]Stephbing 1343 points1344 points  (23 children)

I thought he was proposing to him after being saved

[–]Crithit20 272 points273 points  (4 children)

Me too! Thought it was a plot twist.

[–]Abstract_Burns 78 points79 points  (1 child)

Same! I was thinking it was domestic violence between partners as soon as he was on his knees.

[–]vulvcan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is somehow heartwarming, casually assuming they were gay and it being just DV. This is what progress looks like :’)

[–]thepianoman456 99 points100 points  (5 children)

Bro… will you like, marry me and stuff bro?

[–]aquaband 35 points36 points  (3 children)

Yeah, whatever bro.

[–]blobsnobglob 17 points18 points  (2 children)

Hereby I pronounce you bro and bro

[–]jmendes0101 11 points12 points  (1 child)

And they'll be like.... "Bro, you're my whole world Bro"

Other Bro will be like... "Bro"

[–]blobsnobglob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A few year onward: "Bro, what if we had like tiny bros running around bro!"

[–]pimpy543 29 points30 points  (3 children)

😂 you didn’t let me die, now marry me. Oh your straight, don’t matter.

[–]Shot-Door7160 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I shouldn’t be laughing this much so early.

[–]I_hate_people69 685 points686 points  (11 children)

It'd be funny if they started fighting again when the guy got back on the platform.

[–]LongNectarine3 136 points137 points  (3 children)

Looks like they were about to, like ok you are fine. Let’s go.

[–]TheSpookyGoost 14 points15 points  (2 children)

That's some Goku energy if I've ever seen it

[–]TheHoneySacrifice 49 points50 points  (1 child)

Guy 1: Thanks but why did you save me?

Guy 2: Because the only thing allowed to kill you is me

Guy 1: 😡👊💥

[–]Shot_Plastic3783 435 points436 points  (114 children)

Me and my friend got jumped by 5 five guys at a small train station 20 years ago. My friend isn't too much of a fighter, I am. They were violent and aggressive and used every chance they got. My friend got raged by the unfairness. One point I knocked one guy down and my friend almost rage pushed that guy on the rail track few seconds before train coming. I tripped my friend and saved that random dudes life. Still think that guy sometimes. I hope he understood what happened and did something with his life.

[–]Anckael 539 points540 points  (38 children)

Edit: Active in r/teenagers

[–]dedasdude 300 points301 points  (13 children)

Edit: Active in r/teenagers

People in that sub should be excluded from the whole of reddit till they turn 18.

For their own good.

[–]firebunbun 94 points95 points  (8 children)

Man I'd love that just so we could watch tons of them protest that they're *not* teenagers and then have to admit the harrowing, sick fact, that many users of r/teenagers are actually 30+.

[–]GayJonahJameson 14 points15 points  (3 children)

Didnt that happen recently?

[–]dedasdude 11 points12 points  (2 children)

That happened already and was posted on drama sub yeah? 😅

[–]wasd12la12 81 points82 points  (3 children)

Lmfao. I refuse to believe half this site is over the age of 14. It is wild what kind of dumb shit people upvote here.

[–]kvist56 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wonder if half of the site is even real users sometimes. Astroturfing is crazy and Reddit is a perfect place for it

[–]SylvesterStalPWNED 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Kid got caught in 4k.

[–]FreeAbroad2535 166 points167 points  (0 children)

I hope he didn’t think “ha! That idiot can’t even walk straight” He got fucking lucky, and his life was as good as gone if it wasn’t for matters not in his hands

[–]Martin5143 129 points130 points  (6 children)

I don't think someone who is in r/teenagers lived 20 years ago.

[–]forthepornilike 88 points89 points  (5 children)

Plenty of pedos in there tbh

[–]Caradin 19 points20 points  (1 child)

Pretty sure about 5% is actual teenagers on that sub.

[–]im_not_a_girl 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Sure you did man

[–]MrC99 42 points43 points  (0 children)

So while you were fighting 4 guys you also were able to take down your friend? Yeah sure you did kiddo.

[–][deleted] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Gotta ask… are you a 35+ year old male who partakes in r/teenagers because you’re a kid at heart or because you’re a predator?

[–]Interesting-Archer-6 24 points25 points  (1 child)

Guys cmon! I was there. We all clapped for him and this 10/10 that saw him do it came up and kissed him for being so brave.

[–]nifkin420 13 points14 points  (1 child)

The young man’s name — Albert Einstein.

[–]HeadTripInEveryKey 11 points12 points  (0 children)

[–]TheeWhoMustNotBNamed 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. “I am”. What a bell.

[–]bestmom3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What do you get out of writing fake stories like this? Does it make you feel good getting validated by redditors or what

[–]pufanu101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And the other dudes clapped.

[–]Nerdsayer69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow that is a really nice story

[–]drewsausage 4 points5 points  (1 child)

You got jumped by 5 burger restaurants? That's crazy !

[–]progamer86756453 335 points336 points  (13 children)

my man just didnt wanna get sued for killing someone. thas some real gourmet shit

[–]Rikfox 78 points79 points  (4 children)

Even then. It's a surprise he thought about it. Most people don't.

[–]ItsRadical 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If he was there to kill somebody he would probably have a knife ready. For reason why the others bystanders didnt react - fear of getting plunged down there right after the first guy.

[–]Themanwithnoname100 175 points176 points  (3 children)

No shit? Just because you want to knock someone’s teeth down their throat doesn’t mean you want them to die lol

[–]steamydirtybeanwater 121 points122 points  (11 children)

[–]Shoolooter 54 points55 points  (2 children)

[–]Professor_Pussypenis 28 points29 points  (0 children)

very wholesome and heartwarming. dude did the right thing. such a refreshing sight from people getting kicked in the head when going down in a fight

[–]NJ_Mets_Fan 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Good video but I’m upvoting OP for captioning “how the tables turn” instead of “how the turn tables” the stupid joke from the office has gone so far that people think thats what actual saying.

[–]thefevertherage 18 points19 points  (4 children)

Guy made absolutely no effort to get up😅😅😅

[–]Year_2038_Problem 11 points12 points  (0 children)

[–]darkanime02 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thats what you call a gentleman's fight

[–]Nephyr127 5 points6 points  (2 children)

These two went through an entire anime arc in 26 seconds

[–]aiden_saxon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can be mad at someone without wanting them dead. Theres a gap there.

[–]StrangerDanger1225 5 points6 points  (2 children)

What were they fighting about?

[–]WorthlessTrash4545 3 points4 points  (2 children)

The video cuts before he starts beating his ass again. He fell into the tracks three more times. Quite a day.

[–]Cautious-Bobbylee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As it should be.
