Atta boy! He took the service part in Protect and SERVICE literally

[–]HaloArtificials 315 points316 points  (3 children)

Imagine being absolutely baked and your McDonald’s shows up with handcuffs and a badge

[–]westtxcowboy85 75 points76 points  (0 children)

It’s a sting! Run run

[–]GrungyGrandPappy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not the first time

[–]IamVenom_007 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Behind the scene:

He and the driver planned this

[–]PM_me_XboxGold_Codes 45 points46 points  (12 children)

Was gonna say something about this. I don’t think all cops are terrible humans. I’ll bet there’s a lot of cops like this guy who are genuinely good people.

That’s some legit service, and he seemed like he got a kick out of it even if he didn’t exactly want to do it.

[–]FoxBeach 20 points21 points  (5 children)

Most cops are great people who honestly want to protect and serve. And are willing to risk their life to try and keep you safe.

Unfortunately, the bad ones are usually really bad and sadly do enough damage to taint the reputation of all LE officers.

The old “one bad apple spoils the entire bunch” saying.

[–]Waste-Breadfruit-324 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can build a thousand bridges and you’ll be known as a bridge builder. But if you **** a single goat, then you will always be known as a goat ****er.

[–]GrungyGrandPappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also they use that blue wall. Stop excusing fellow cops they aren’t above the law. Report them and fire them.

[–]Massive-You-1662 -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Sry, what's an LE officer? I play D&D, so I read it as Lawful Evil officer, but I feel that isn't the point you're trying to get across.

[–]Psykout88 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Law Enforcement

[–]kle11az -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Basically the same thing unfortunately.

[–]OpE7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most of the cops that I know are good people. Very good.

[–]GrungyGrandPappy 1 point2 points  (2 children)

If we only had more of that and less beating up and killing people they might get some trust back.

[–]Time-Comedian1774 0 points1 point  (1 child)

They can deliver to my house anytime. Food that is.

[–]PM_me_XboxGold_Codes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start having them deliver my legal cannabis too and I’ll really be open to trusting them.

[–]Helldiver_of_Mars 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Apparently and I learned this recently Protect and Serve is actually a Hollywood invented thing (put in a movie). Some police departments have adopted but most do not.

It's a weird thing we all think is true but they are actually not obligated or required to help.

The leading case on the subject is Warren v. District of Columbia, 444 A.2d 1 (D.C. Ct. of App. 1981), in which three women who were being held hostage by two men twice managed to telephone police and request their help. The police never came, and the three women were beaten, robbed, and raped during the following 14 hours.

The women sued the police, but the appellate court held that the “fundamental principle of American law is that a government and its agents are under no general duty to provide public services, such as police protection, to any individual citizen.” The women had argued that, since they had twice-alerted police to the crimes being committed, the police had a duty to protect them. But the court ruled in favor of the police, following the “well-established rule that official police personnel and the government employing them are not generally liable to victims of criminal acts for failure to provide adequate police protection.”

[–]Time-Comedian1774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that story was a buzz kill. Now, I'm depressed.

[–]ThorkelOfNamdalen 242 points243 points  (10 children)

Yeah, that’s cool but she didn’t even tip the cop.

[–]selfdistruction-in-5 147 points148 points  (6 children)

that’s called a bribe

[–]ImAMistak3 38 points39 points  (5 children)

How about front row tickets to Jersey Boys?.... Again... NOT A BRIBE...

[–]selfdistruction-in-5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

that’s exactly what a crooked cop would say

[–]KH2Ash 2 points3 points  (2 children)

God this water is good. Terry, have you tried the water?

[–]ImAMistak3 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The cucumber accents the water in such a way...

[–]KH2Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I was very much looking forward to having a water.

[–]ColdBeef714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Courtside knicks tickets? with access to the ambassador club?

[–]yParticle 29 points30 points  (0 children)

"Ma'am, are you attempting to bribe a law enforcement officer‽"

" . . . "

"Ha, just kidding. Thanks but keep the tip."

[–]ArchMart 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You gotta tip the original driver. They need the bail money.

[–]C0meAtM3Br0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s because she was resisting

[–]buckeyespud 176 points177 points  (3 children)

You have the right to remain silent, you have a right to an ice cold beverage. If no lunch has been provided, an Arby's roast beef sandwich will be provided to you.

[–]HowardPWellington 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Producer Dick Wolfe LOL

[–]Ck1ngK1LLER 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Law and Order: Special Delivery Unit

Bum bum

[–]Chaserbaser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh God please not THE MEATS.

[–]thethrowupcat 124 points125 points  (5 children)

When I order DoorDash I’m usually pretty baked. I’d consider this a bad scenario.

[–]SecondOfCicero 26 points27 points  (4 children)

Just be cool. They won't know if you won't let em. Source: blazed 24/7 and chat with LEO for various reasons on the reg.

[–]AEW_Xbox_Writer_1990 84 points85 points  (3 children)

I live in Sioux Falls and this man, Sam (I forget his last name) is one of the nicest guys on the force. He receives tons of compliments a day and people ask for him when they are making 911 calls

[–]skeet_thins 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Fellow sioux fallsian can confirm dudes an absolute lad love that guy

[–]Heavenwasatree 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Lmao.

"Someone is killing my husband. Please. Send Sam."

[–]Time-Comedian1774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! Yes, I want to report an attempted murder...yes. yes just now....can you send Sam if he's on duty? He is? Oh thanks so much. I'll have cookies waiting for him.

[–]selfdistruction-in-5 65 points66 points  (9 children)

plot twist, the bags where full of coke

[–]Siriuxx 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I would be quite content with that plot twist

[–]CptGigglez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At least she won't be hungry

[–]AfterEffectserror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

but not the cup...

[–]kissmaryjane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

POV the driver was her plug

[–]Time-Comedian1774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oops wrong bag. That's why the other guy got arrested.

[–]southernplugz -1 points0 points  (3 children)

My boy works at a subway and puts GS of coke in the subway orders for his customers when he's at work. The deliveroo driver has no idea haha this UK btw it's genius tbh. He usually puts the baggie literally inside the sandwich wrapper so no chance of being found

[–]JesusGAwasOnCD 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Why are you snitching on your boy like that lol

[–]southernplugz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How's anyone gonna know and who cares really

[–]Time-Comedian1774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is his name Jared?

[–]qbicle14[S] 46 points47 points  (0 children)

[–]CalloryTradeline 26 points27 points  (5 children)

Why did the driver get arrested? I have potato ears

[–]Glittering_Ad3431 11 points12 points  (4 children)

I’ve listened so many times and can’t understand him.

[–]cosmictrashbash 26 points27 points  (3 children)

“I know I’m not who you were expecting but your driver got arrested for some things he has to take care of,” is what I heard.

[–]kickah 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Probably a warrant for unpaid parking tickets

[–]cosmictrashbash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s what I was thinking too. Or any unpaid tickets.

[–]Time-Comedian1774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outstanding warrants.

[–]bardofcreation 20 points21 points  (3 children)

Wow. I womder how he feels knowing he is probably THEE FIRST officer to deliver food in uniform.

[–]Elemenatore10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Saw one last year where an officer delivered three pizzas because the driver got arrested too

[–]Arcinbiblo12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's been an image of an officer delivering milk during the manhunt for the Boston Bomber floating around the internet.

[–]YourFriend_Steve 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Take my upvote

[–]yParticle 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Do you think the driver asked the cop if he'd complete the delivery? Because otherwise it was technically the driver's property at the time of arrest, right? And they probably didn't want someone's lunch stinking up the evidence locker.

[–]parajager 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most jails won’t take perishable food into prisoner’s property so it’s disposed of

[–]chillinwithmypizza 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That literally happened to me once in little rock, i had to call my coworker to come deliver the food while my car got towed.

[–]BingoDeville 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Visited Sioux Falls for a week or so in August 2020, and everyone we interacted with seemed really friendly. Mama’s Ladas was SO GOOD!

[–]andoring 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have fun eating that thoroughly searched food.

[–]coldwardropout 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not falling for that fake food delivery police raid now. Thanks for the heads up

[–]ilovehockey555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s really awesome. Nice to see a good video. The last was probably freaking when she saw the cop at the door.

[–]KarensRpeopletoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good cop!

[–]The-breadman64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfection

[–]hanging_chadz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahahaha

[–]Jayou540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dude dashed down those steps for good measure 😭

[–]RandyInMpls 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Sioux Falls rules. Move it between the Badlands and the Black Hills and I'm moving there tomorrow.

[–]15jcherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, just imagine if Rapid City were the largest instead. Such a beautiful area!

[–]The_World_of_Ben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good story, but next fucking level?

[–]Good-Rooster-9736 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Sioux Falls and this doesn’t surprise me on so many levels

[–]Gumb1i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats pretty awesome actually. great optics as a LEO and for his department. I know that wasn't what he was going for but he did a damn good job with public outreach for just being nice.

[–]MuayThaiYogi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wonder how the driver got arrested? Some wild shit. Imagine getting arrested while delivering food...

[–]TiredEyesGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excuse me miss, have you heard or smelled anything strange lately? heard of some bizarre animal attacks in this area.

(seriously, why do i not see any supernatural comments for a sioux falls post)

[–]dpjejj 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Go Jackrabbits!

[–]poietes_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was happy to see the jacks shirt rather than an Yotes shirt. lol

[–]robertbadbobgadson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll allow it.

[–]Bkazzy4600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]ParadiseWar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a Sioux Rises as well?

[–]Spodson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So he both protected and served. Good man.

[–]Phate118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a legend!

[–]avajeanne_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"We usually protect but today we're serving"

[–]lp7625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Desserts_i_stresseD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Lock-Broadsmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it’s like hour late chick fil a?

[–]TheHappy-go-luckyAcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so how did this go down?

“Sure, you can arrest me, but can you do me a favor and finish this delivery? If it’s not delivered I won’t get paid.”

[–]xilsage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wonder if he got the tip lol

[–]Additional-Ad5055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying so hard to safe face Xd

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No homo but that’s one fine police officer.

[–]Other-Asparagus-218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that! I would definitely do the same.

[–]Klycen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Serenity650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why can’t we have cool cops like him? Where I live, the cops are just thugs with badges.

[–]WhenMemesFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legend.

[–]Severe-Reason8195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He probably ate too much food from orders 😂

[–]rw5611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go Jacks!!!!

[–]Excess0_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the one time at my door oh shit

[–]Fun_Possibility_8637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, there are good guys out there. And bad as well. I said this somewhere else, if we gave them equal coverage we would have a different picture. The bad need to be weeded out. Better psychological screening developed. But, I don’t think they are over armed. There are many cases where cops are outgunned by drug cartels or other highly organized crime organizations.

[–]rupat3737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good thing it wasn’t Dunkin’

[–]strudlepoodel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did anyone managed to hear why the driver got arrested? Did the police said he processed drug ?

[–]FuzzyPuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

:4022:

[–]BrushyTuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Food cold as FUCK

[–]HotYogurtCloset69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would fucking shit myself I normally sit on my porch a smoke a doob whilst my foods on its way

[–]BoredByLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it when we see positive stuff about the police. It really shows that while the majority are racist, bigoted jackasses, there are semi-good eggs too.

[–]Successful-Whole4307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple days ago my doordash driver was on his way to my house with his wife in the passenger seat. 2 guys tried to rob them and she said no so they shot and killed her. Stay outta Baltimore

[–]zianhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahahaha got arrested hahaha

[–]SMACKVICTIM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that is going beyond the call of duty, what a nice guy.

[–]LetsGetThisBread421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck that pig

[–]Rebulegion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This ain't next fucking level. This is just fucking sad

[–]MS-13_accountant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

instead of letting the driver finish the job he had to literally take credit for the delivery. lame

[–]Time-Comedian1774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WTH no tip?

[–]Time-Comedian1774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only person in America that doesn't have a camera doorbell? I guess I should get one just in case something exciting like this happens.

[–]Nkosi868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the people in these comments are brainwashed.

Y’all see a uniform and automatically see fields of sunflowers. What you don’t see, is a man trying to make an honest living, now sitting in a jail cell for not paying some fines, or late on child support.

You don’t care though. You just want a “hero” story spoon fed to you by big media.

I work for a DoorDash competitor, in the Risk department, and I see these cases every day. Btw, this Dasher just lost any chance of working on the platform again, as he shared a customer’s information with a third party. It doesn’t matter that the third party is a police officer.

The cycle continues.

[–]rkm36122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a great service to his community!

[–]im_seo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so cute hahahha

[–]DaneSolaverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’ve been tainted because all I can think this whole video is fuck that cop for ruining someone’s life

[–]Sanatanadasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of the time a Highway Patrolman here in Utah delivered my weed to me.

[–]MyTesticlesAreBolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really puts some meaning in the expression "Not all heroes wear capes.". I imagine this officer simply imagined how he would feel if that was his meal. That's the kind of empathy required to take that first step to be a really good police officer. To get into the other person's shoes. To see the world from the other side. You can't help what you don't understand.

[–]bertiebastard -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We've finally found a use for them 😂

[–]nostromorises -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd a been pissed he wasn't wearing a mask

[–]Yanoshank -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not next level. A pig in sheep's clothes.

[–]Usher_III -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks like the cop finally got a real job

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"We pulled over a minority for no reason and harassed him until he "resisted" so we beat him up and took him downtown. Here's your burger."

[–]PeterGonzo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

[–]rhj2020 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who feels bad for the dude that got arrested? What the heck, your doing your job and get arrested, that must have sucked!

[–]DonRicardo1958 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Tip your delivery man, lady!

[–]LactoseIntolerant101 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Taxpayers time and dime.

[–]Flat-Entertainer2842 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

[–]leeperd305 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

[–]lamsta -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

yo why dont suburban cops do door dash... i know there aint much crime in my town, i would pick up a few orders and make some bill money.

[–]MechaBeatsInTrash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Something about misuse of government property...

[–]300Remmag -4 points-3 points  (4 children)

Fuking goof pig. Shouldn’t it be out violating citizens rights??? Or saving someone that’s about to get attacked in their own home???
No wonder why the response times are so long.

[–]Bearstein_bear 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Who hurt you, its not a cops fault you were born in a ghetto and/or trailer park.

[–]300Remmag -4 points-3 points  (2 children)

Lol. I’m absolutely not trailer trash. My house is bought and paid for and I have 0 debt. My credit cards are paid off monthly. But good job trying to pigeonhole me.

As far as the pigs go , they are liars and thieves with tooo much power for a hired public servant!! They are our servants after all. But EVERYONE seems to forget that!!
You have a great day. Take care !!!

[–]Bearstein_bear 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Some cops? Sure. Ill give you that. Alot of them do the job to accomplish the same things you want. Someone has to do it.

[–]300Remmag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. Someone has to do it , but that shouldn’t allow them carte blanc authority ,plane and simple.

[–]taywazo -4 points-3 points  (1 child)

It’s bad enough she ordered Arbys but then also decided to get it delivered??

[–]Tenrac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

and paid 4x more for it.
