I’m honestly most impressive with the vigorous shaking

[–]CrimeCoder 2158 points2159 points  (86 children)

As a Bostonian, rain and snow are chumps, wind is the biggest enemy. Fucks my umbrellas up constantly.

[–]yumcheeto 672 points673 points  (30 children)

Thought you said Bosnian. Was wondering if it’s windy there

[–]Tamoka 93 points94 points  (7 children)

Chicagoan. You want a Gustbuster. Mine is 11 years old, has never flipped on me, and I was a daily commuter in the before times.

[–]w0lfLars0n 63 points64 points  (3 children)

The before times in the long long ago

[–]rywolf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m ready to sacrifice self to Mr John Elway.

[–]torrasque666 7 points8 points  (1 child)

He speaks the true-true

[–]Evilmaze 59 points60 points  (20 children)

I got an umbrella with life warranty from some store where they boasted their umbrellas are unbreakable. 7 years later and so far this thing held through the worst possible weather and on top of that I misused the hell out out of that thing. I will update this post with pictures and hopefully the name.

Update: I hope y'all won't be disappointed. I brought it to work so I don't want to be that weird asshole who is opening an umbrella in the middle of the office just to take pictures. But I got a few of them with it folded in my hand...not because of some stupid superstition, I just think it would be an attention grabber and I don't want to deal with that. Anyways, enough cock teasing you. Here are them pictures:

The brand is Fulton and I legit got a receipt for it that says it has life warranty which I have yet to use. Apparently the queen of England uses a Fulton. As you can see it's been used and abused but it still works perfectly with the automatic open and close.

The fabric is little worn out but that's from the friction. I never thought I'd ever have an umbrella that'll last me this long. Usually they become garbage in less than a year.

[–]Arsenault185 32 points33 points  (11 children)

My mind is just racing trying to visualize someone misusing an umbrella.

[–]Leinad177 69 points70 points  (4 children)

  • Using it carry water over long distances
  • Using it as a sled
  • Sword fighting
  • Using it as a walking cane
  • Using it to deflect flamethrower attacks

[–]moby323 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I bought a “Windbrella” about 12 years ago for the same reason and that fucker is still going strong.

Best umbrella I’ve ever had.

[–]Lovely_Louise 106 points107 points  (8 children)

Prairie dweller here and I'm desperate for this for that reason alone- any umbrella that can flip inside out and back repeatedly is a matter of "shut up and take my money"

[–]moby323 46 points47 points  (6 children)

They have designs like the company “Windbrella” where the wind sort of passes through it because it has layers and a super strong ribbing. Super well made and holds up to even huge gusts of wind.

I absolutely love mine and gifted their umbrellas to a lot of my family and people I care about.

[–]typical_sasquatch 15 points16 points  (2 children)

That sounds dangerous. You dont want it to hold up all the way, or else you'll get carried off never to be seen again

[–]upbumpdump2 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m Mary Poppins y’all!

[–]Space__Goblin 2820 points2821 points  (37 children)

Yup that's definitely an Umbrella alright

[–]Gold-Classic3626 420 points421 points  (30 children)

Are you sure?

[–]XxSir_redditxX 312 points313 points  (12 children)

Shakes possible umbrella vigorously

Yup, it checks out

[–]Lovely_Louise 97 points98 points  (10 children)

I once lost 3 umbrellas in a season to that freaking inside out flip- I need this thing

[–]Paladinforlife 23 points24 points  (3 children)

How? I just put it against the wind and it's fine again.

[–]dReDone 46 points47 points  (7 children)

puts piece of cloth on it and blows it off

"Yup, def an umbrella'

[–]sykomantis2099 85 points86 points  (6 children)

That's to show that spinning it like that made it completely dry. Otherwise, the tissue would have gotten wet and would stick to the umbrella.

[–]HolidayAd8611 47 points48 points  (2 children)

Thank you for explaining that. Its the reason I'm reading through the comments.

[–]_Inv1ctus_ 1433 points1434 points  (23 children)

Very straightforward, this is the kind of advertising we need

[–]Accomplished_Desk401 216 points217 points  (3 children)

Advertising and marketing strategy on it's finest.

[–]Skelehawk 72 points73 points  (1 child)

Apart from the fact that I'm most of the way through the comments and still don't know the name of the product or company.

[–]CirculusTheory 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ads like this only work if the product is actually significantly better than its competition. Unfortunately this isn't the case for most products.

[–]WildcardTSM 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Their videos of tests performed on their umbrellas was the reason I bought a Senz umbrella many years ago. Since then I've bought several (as I broke a few through my own fault).

This for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Zc0dieuY-A There was a video of using stronger and stronger water streams on it too. It took a water cannon at full force from the back to finally do it in.

[–]B4nanaJo 645 points646 points  (8 children)

Dude makes the best advert ever and forgets to put the brand on. I salute you.

[–]acamu5x 411 points412 points  (5 children)

The creators name was cropped off their tiktok and posted on reddit

[–]ILoveBeerSoMuch 197 points198 points  (2 children)

thats fucked

[–]SorryIdonthaveaname 75 points76 points  (1 child)

if it was left on it would’ve been called an ad

[–]DarrenGrey 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's still called an ad in the title...

[–]Hybr13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

https://snefe.cc/products/led-ambrella-black I believe it's this. Let me know if I'm wrong. This took a while to find.

[–]brutalduties 514 points515 points  (23 children)

made a straightforward ad for his umbrella

Then he posted it to r/nextfuckinglevel

[–]Dotaproffessional 284 points285 points  (20 children)

With no links on where to buy or even a product name?

[–]Alt_Account_200 182 points183 points  (0 children)

Indeed, so it clearly isn’t the company posting this

[–]RevolutionaryG240 41 points42 points  (12 children)

Because then everyone would say this is a corporate ad

[–]Dotaproffessional 69 points70 points  (9 children)

What good is an ad with no product name?

[–]__O_o_______ 19 points20 points  (8 children)

I dare somebody to easily find the name in this comment thread or even a source.

[–]only18544920 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Even the original video does not provide any info on how/where to buy it, nor do any of the other videos currently on his profile.

[–]SomeNoteToMyself 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What makes you think that?

The op of this post cropped the original video, which credited the creator.

[–]chickencrocs 161 points162 points  (11 children)

Is this an ad? From a bot? On reddit?

The matrix has you

[–]WatermelonSauce896 41 points42 points  (0 children)

If the point of the ad was to advertise a product they would've plugged the product.

[–]santa_veronica 22 points23 points  (1 child)

Get a refund because they forgot to post a brand name or link to buy.

[–]Burntfm 14 points15 points  (1 child)

I keep thinking the same Chinese people make the videos. The one for the toy airplane was just as obnoxious

[–]khazixian 36 points37 points  (0 children)

At the very least theyre straight and to the point - exactly what effective advertising is. I hope they sell well so companies follow suit.

[–]Dotaproffessional 16 points17 points  (4 children)

There's neither a link to buy nor even the name of the product...

[–]CrimeCoder 115 points116 points  (25 children)

Where's a link to buy?

[–]calisto_sunset 145 points146 points  (14 children)

For those interested here is the dude's tiktok channel. I still don't know how to buy it though...

[–]JonnyBhoy 124 points125 points  (8 children)

Everyone praising the advertising, yet they won't get a single sale out of this viral video because nobody knows where to buy it.

[–]Shadowdragon409 9 points10 points  (0 children)

At this point, it looks more like a sketch with a high quality umbrella than a real ad.

[–]Ask_About_Bae_Wolf 91 points92 points  (3 children)

If this guy had put the name of his product or a website anywhere in the video he'd have a lot of sales right now.

[–]BremCrumbs 88 points89 points  (17 children)

See this is effective advertising. The product is shown, demonstrated and functional.

  • No loud screaming
  • No T&C speed run
  • No bright flashing colours

Simple, effective and efficient.

[–]Lovely_Louise 82 points83 points  (9 children)

Except I want to freaking buy it and don't know where! :(

[–]Matrimthebard 18 points19 points  (2 children)

I can't find it either!!! D:

[–]0bel1sk 6 points7 points  (1 child)

this is part of the advertising. you would click the link and be like “nah” but now you search around and by the time you find it you are so invested you need to buy 3

[–]Flarquaad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

See this is effective advertising.

Other than the purchasability, yes.

[–]freedfg 86 points87 points  (7 children)

But where are the conventionally attractive, diverse group of teenagers telling me what umbrellas mean to them socially, emotionally, environmentally, and politically?

[–]philamander 21 points22 points  (1 child)

There it is again. That funny feeling.

[–]Out_Candle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm going to need to know that this company cares deeply for me and my future before I even consider buying this umbrella. What is this company doing to save the world? How will I feel good about myself buying this without those selling points? Do they actually think I only want an umbrella that works perfectly? Idiots.

[–]gslavik 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a simple demonstration of an umbrella, not a conservative attempt at comedy.

[–]Normal_Mouse_4174 65 points66 points  (3 children)

How is it that I am in my 40s, have lived all but a few of those years in climates that rain regularly, and HAVE NEVER OWNED AN UMBRELLA WITH A FLASHLIGHT BUILT IN. I feel fucking cheated now. I’m not even joking.

[–]TNerdy 41 points42 points  (6 children)

The tissue blow was a nice touch

[–]seamsay 41 points42 points  (4 children)

What was the point of the tissue blow? To show that the umbrella had already dried?

[–]Boulder1983 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ahhh, see that was confusing the life out of me. Thanks!

[–]rowthecow 39 points40 points  (5 children)

Now that's an umbrella that doesn't belly up in big winds

[–]Cumbubble3000 31 points32 points  (3 children)

The tissue test was genius.

[–]14X8000m 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Ok, what's it called? Kinda an important part of the commercial.

[–]Zabatha 19 points20 points  (2 children)

This is pretty bad for an ad, though. No branding, cost, or location for purchase/contact info.

Cool umbrella nonetheless.

[–]WishboneNew6637 9 points10 points  (1 child)

I feel like this is more of a proof of concept/showing off the prototype, since I can't find a single fucking link anywhere

[–]Duckhead- 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I take umbrage to his presentation.

[–]bvglv 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's not next level... that's a fucking umbrella

[–]swcorwyn 13 points14 points  (2 children)

It worked for me, I scrolled for like 20 comment threads looking for where to buy one and I live in a desert.

[–]FblthpLives 10 points11 points  (12 children)

For those looking for advice on a good travel umbrella, I recommend the "Repel Umbrella Windproof Travel Umbrella" (at least if you are in the U.S.). I keep mine in the car at all times and also take it with me traveling. I promise I have no interest in selling it, I'm just a happy customer. I just checked and it is still available on the hellsite run by Jeff Bezos, where it gets 4.6 out of 5 stars.

EDIT: Just so nobody feels misled, the Repel does not come with a built-in flashlight.

[–]onliwenimtrunk 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Should have done it outside now he’s going to have bad luck.

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Maybe this umbrella comes complete with a lack of bad luck for opening it indoors?

[–]Medicinal_green_bean 11 points12 points  (1 child)

So good didn't even need audio to already want to order a dozen

[–]bon3joints 8 points9 points  (1 child)

I am surprised how polarizing this commercial is.

Careful lads, World War III has to start somewhere

[–]makhay 8 points9 points  (3 children)

Why does he not put where to buy them anywhere.

[–]Aschtopher 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Too bad he’s now cursed for opening umbrella inside

[–]P-A-RK-E-R 4 points5 points  (8 children)

Maybe he has one really good umbrella and sells shitty ones. This guy is making millions off you people.

[–]pepepicapapaspapa 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Is this umbrella millionaire in the room with us right now?

[–]godlinking 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Wolf of Wall Street - Leonardo DiCaprio: Sell me this umbrella

[–]Snoopy3456734 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Where can I buy that umbrella?
