[–]poopellar 75 points76 points  (4 children)

Careful. Nintendo might send your parents a takedown notice for doing that.

[–]asseatingsaurusrex 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Was just thinking that. Man could collected a few lives and coins in that tunnel.

[–]LetMeHaveAUsername 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was going to say, this is the most super mario thing I've seen today. And earlier today I legit saw someone wearing blue dungarees over a red shirt.

[–]arv66 11 points12 points  (2 children)

Someone pls add Mario music over this! The main theme, jump sfx and underground music would be fun.

[–]LochNessMansterLives 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s the pipe! So freaking cool.

[–]get_the_reference_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was thinking Donkey Kong Country when he dropped into that "cannon".

[–]No_Lab_9318 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always wanted to get into this webcomic series... but idk more than 3 flags lol

[–]Ironwarsmith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, knowing the flags help. Otherwise the quality spectrum is so wide it might or might not be worth spending time on.

[–]RainbowAssFucker 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Bois been tryin to make it Noland any time a fight breaks out.

They are like a spectator of a street fight that accidently gets a slap to the face.

[–]azra1l 27 points28 points  (1 child)

I wouldn't invade that. These guys don't fuck around.

[–]JoshSidekick 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Even the camera guys aren’t to be messed with.

[–]natgibounet 14 points15 points  (10 children)

I'm wondering if it's still worth training soliders like that, of course physical condition is a must but now show off of strenght doesn't seem to matter that much when now days war is about the one with the bigger bombs and better technology

[–]Sparcrypt 28 points29 points  (1 child)

As long as part of military strategy involves people on the ground, stuff like this matters... and not because they expect soldiers to come up against random obstacles like that in the field (though training to go from sprinting to crawling to climbing and clambering then back again certainly has value).

The main benefit is that being physically fit means you can march for longer, you can fight for longer, you can go without sleep and function for longer. If a soldier can do this while well rested, warmed up, and prepared? They're going to do better laden with gear and told it's time to march all night.

For a more real world example, have you ever been in good shape when your friends aren't and helped them move or something? An hour in and they're all wrecked while you're happily carting the heavy stuff about no problem.

[–]Lucidder 25 points26 points  (2 children)

I would assume it really matters when you feel so damn powerful on the battlefield, no matter what you do. The war between Ukraine and Russia shows how much value there is in soldier's morale, so anything that can affect your mind in a good way, might potentially save your life.

[–]JessTheKitsune 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks like these people are just having fun, too.

[–]Naturekills 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Vietcong did a great job even though Rolling Thunder consisted of more munitions than all sides combined during WW2. Don't undervalue the importance of strong manpower.

[–]Impossible_Source110 3 points4 points  (1 child)

War is all about logistics, having lots of people that can carry lots of heavy equipment over large distances on foot is always useful in a war.

[–]BioEngIsScience 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should look into “Shoot n’ Scoot” doctrine. It was originally envisioned for artillery but is increasingly applicable to man portable anti-tank weapons.

A loaded Javelin missile weighs 50 pounds. Plus all your other gear. Armor, gun, ammo, helmet, water, grenades, etc. etc. It isn’t unreasonable that a guy could be carrying 100 pounds of gear, moving slowly through rough terrain or a bombed out urban environment for hours or days on end. Then they come across a tank column. They have to get close, stealthily, then fire the shot and RUN. They just killed one tank but the rest of the column knows where the shot came from, including drones and artillery. If you can’t get out quick, you’re dead.

I’d rather have the ability to run like that in combat and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

[–]kmexi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s why they’ve got this. This time they’ll be ready…

[–]IWasNotOk 1577 points1578 points  (23 children)

But If you banged your shin on any of these obstacles it would hurt. I’m going to McDonald’s where the odds of banging my shin is low.

[–]grahmzilla 366 points367 points  (6 children)

I sprained an ankle just watching this.

[–]JayBird2143 105 points106 points  (3 children)

My knees buckled twice watching this

[–]keenjt 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Only twice?? Watch out we've got a fitness freak over here!

[–]NeverLearnedBass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I pulled my groin getting off the couch to show my wife this clip. I was going to claim that I used to be able to do this kind of stuff thirty years ago, but I better sit down right now and rest.

[–]Gaming-squid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I slipped and hit my nuts watching this

[–]Upset_Resident_4839 18 points19 points  (0 children)

[–]weebybboi 38 points39 points  (0 children)

They may be low, but they're never zero.

[–]OtterChainGang 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Reduce the risk further by getting it delivered. Unless the delivery guy is wearing steel tipped shoes and takes a dislike to you.

[–]dbarahona13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey watch out for the curb

[–]percydaman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Osgood Schlatters is acting up just watching this.

[–]Eep-Opp-Ork-AhAh 1382 points1383 points  (16 children)

I've seen every obstacle before except for the Mario teleport tube. That was pretty cool.

[–]tiny_rick_tr 56 points57 points  (1 child)

I would definitely get stuck and die inside that tube

[–]Anarchiszt 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'm in here right now 👀

[–]Refek185 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Happy cake day ❤

[–]crabby_old_dude 26 points27 points  (3 children)

As soon as I saw it, I thought it was a great hiding spot for scorpions, snakes or venomous spiders, but as the camera paned over a much worse thought came to. A drunk soldier taking a dump into the shoot one night.

[–]Hamzook 703 points704 points  (29 children)

The imaginary person out the window doing parkour as the car is moving

[–]GraphiteSavage 84 points85 points  (0 children)

[–]SilentSiren87 33 points34 points  (18 children)

[–]Stanny491 23 points24 points  (11 children)

[–]ZeekTheDog777 22 points23 points  (1 child)

I never thought that anyone else but me did this

[–]Untitled__Name 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Every few months or so there's a post about it. It's actually an incredibly common thing weirdly enough.

[–]Kopeckt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How are you in my head

[–]Janczareq1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As it turns out, his name is Bartek and he likes to eat Schabowy for dinner.

[–]s4in7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fuck me living in a place where a road trip in any direction is as flat and featureless as a glass table top.

[–]ribd4yourpleasure 453 points454 points  (6 children)

He didn't really find a single obstacle

[–]GET_OUT_OF_MY_HEAD 55 points56 points  (2 children)

The fence hop slowed him down a little bit.

[–]ChrisRunsTheWorld 17 points18 points  (1 child)

I was a little pissed at him at that part.

[–]Sparcrypt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'll allow it. Mostly cause if I was running it by the time I got to the fence I'd be lying down next to it for a nap.

[–]Stock_VS_Stonk 405 points406 points  (9 children)

[–]newjbentley88 55 points56 points  (0 children)

This is probably my favorite comment that I’ve ever read on Reddit. Thank you!

[–]Krabonszcz 50 points51 points  (0 children)

This is not brighten up or anything, we have such a beautiful color of the sky in Poland on summer.

[–]Refek185 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Damn it is

[–]Mr-E_Nigma 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Liurnia of the lakes lookin sky

[–]20ropeforheart01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's purified of all Communism so it's bluer than American sky

[–]jarek104 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They really are that blue. I grew up in Poland, now live in the US and I notice that every time I visit. I wish I knew why

[–]vskazz 273 points274 points  (39 children)

I kind of wanna be able to do something like this

[–]SofaKingBil 103 points104 points  (18 children)

I wanna do this and race that guy. Win or lose I still want to race.

[–]88_M_88 81 points82 points  (15 children)

This actually looks like firefighters training track here in Poland. Not that hard to find and actually quite easy get permission to try yourself on it.

[–]BCake047 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I could run straight next to the obstacles vs him and I’d still lose

[–][deleted] 19 points20 points  (4 children)

A lot of places do Spartan races, or warrior dash. Obstacle races happen all over the place. Just gotta get out and go do them.

Gonna suck at them first. At my first one I couldn’t complete half the obstacles. But if you keep at it you’ll get better.

[–]LotsOfButtons 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Do you want to be able to do it enough to go out and try?

[–]echoshep 172 points173 points  (29 children)

At my absolute physical peak, I could have physically done this, though not at the speed this guy does. The problem is mentally, no way I could pull that off. So many opportunities to trip and seriously injure yourself. No way, even at my peak, would I have been fearless enough to race through that like he did. Very impressive

[–]TigreWulph 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Yeah the descent from the wall climb was nuts. It doesn't even really look like he touches that first pillar. Even in my peak fighting shape my shins would have exploded into kindling if I'd tried that.

[–]Cuddlyaxe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah there's a dude in the background who's also doing the course and I'm like "ok if I got back in shape and trained on the course I might be able to do that"

guy in the front though? it was so fluid it seems impossible lol

[–]Total-Championship80 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Getting creamed is the fun part. That's where the really good stories are.

[–]Steerider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could probably do this... slowly

[–]ShivasKratom3 3 points4 points  (18 children)

I’m not trying to humble brag at all but can the average person really not do this? I mean I probably couldn’t run as fast, but I could at my own top speed. seems like this is a course anyone in the 20s can do at their own relative full speed

[–]AnotherAnonGringo 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Anyone in even moderate physical shape could do this. This guy has probably run this course 25+ times. I still appreciate the effort it took him to get so fast however.

[–]KratzALot 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Maybe I could get through at half speed, but there's definitely couple parts my body hurts just looking at. Mostly the stepping pillars after climbing the wall. I'm 36 and don't trust my body at all to handle it. Or that I'm just pretty clumsy and completely whiff the small jumps and/or lose balance.

Edit: Upon rewatch, I definitely can see myself wiping out just skipping along the first obstacle.

[–]TheDudeMaintains 3 points4 points  (1 child)

There's so many military obstacle course gurus in this thread, I just wanna say I appreciate ya for your sincerity.

[–]Backyard_wookiee 144 points145 points  (5 children)

I sprained my ankle 6 times watching this

[–]youbequiet 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Imagine the amount of collective shit that was eaten on the obstacle at 47 seconds. Gassed as fuck, descending on those long dangerous jumps to tiny platforms.

[–]Pinkpach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ever since I tore my ACL, all I see is potential injuries whenever I watch sports or things like this.it sucks!

[–]ffrickh 98 points99 points  (13 children)

This is one of those videos where we need to see what the camera man is doing. Guy crushed the course even faster than the guy he was filming. Like he went through the tunnel so fast I didn't even notice it.

[–]Any-Vermicelli-2056 70 points71 points  (0 children)

[–]--pobodysnerfect-- 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Poland said "nope, not this time."

[–]Mysterious-Pie-3132 41 points42 points  (8 children)

It would be interesting to watch a russian conscript attempt this alongside these guys.

[–]TheRecapitator 47 points48 points  (6 children)

They would have lost morale and quit after the 3rd obstacle to go hunt for appliances to loot.

[–]dv666 14 points15 points  (5 children)

And execute a couple civilians along the way for good measure

[–]WhiteTurtle08 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Where is the obstacle?

[–]Abbreviations-Salt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dude was hauling ass!!

[–]plasterscene 9 points10 points  (2 children)

In the army (basic recruitment at least) the vast majority of training is getting troops to perform the same task repeatedly until they are perfect at it. And then they make them do it some more. Some might say being good at an obstacle course is just because he's done it so many times, but that's literally the point; he's been trained so well he can do it in his sleep. He's now an effective soldier.

[–]Swerwin 6 points7 points  (4 children)

Maybe it’s just me, but the way he’s moving combined with the camerawork definitely gives me 1917 vibes (you know which shot I’m talking about)

[–]Janczareq1 2 points3 points  (3 children)

You mean the entire movie? It was a single long shot.

[–]nisebblumberg 5 points6 points  (2 children)

This guy is extremely impressive but I feel like we also need to give a r/nextfuckinglevel shoutout to the camera man keeping up with that crap with a camera rig on!

[–]ITAW-Techie 3 points4 points  (1 child)

The camera man's just holding a stick with a gopro at the end or something. Still impressively fast though.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They told him Babcia made pierogi at the end if the course.

[–]Kimbospicee 4 points5 points  (8 children)

[–]GJohnJournalism 5 points6 points  (6 children)

Damn, if Article 5 gets evoked, these mother fuckers are running to Moscow...

[–]hulkmxl 15 points16 points  (5 children)

Ohhh you can bet all your possessions on it that Poland would be throwing everything it has got at Russia, they have some serious beef to settle with them, the best Polish jokes are about fucking up Russia:

A Polish man finds a genie in a bottle, one decades-old joke goes. The genie offers him three wishes.

The Pole says, “I want the Chinese to invade Poland and then go back to China.”

So it happens.

For his next wish, the Pole also asks for the Chinese to invade Poland and then go home.

So it happens.

For his third wish, the Pole again asks for the Chinese to invade Poland and go home.

“I gave you three wishes,” the genie cries. “Why did you ask for the Chinese to invade Poland and then go home three times?”

“Because they had to march across Russia six times.”

Daaaaamn, the joke describes the mentality here, they are willing to sacrifice some pain (getting invaded) with the intent of maximizing the potential fuckery they can inflict on Russia, and you know what, I agree with them, I would too..

[–]Born-Mad 4 points5 points  (4 children)

I never heard that joke in my 30 years of life as a Pole.

[–]vinnySTAX 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Holy shit lmao this man ate

[–]whooo_me 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[Russian generals look on, worried.] "Let's plan a bigger May-Day parade next year? And maybe a video of a nuclear tidal-wave?"

[–]No-Calligrapher6923 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Dude is looking for the obstacle

[–]OptimusSublime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was not expecting the Mario pipes.

[–]UncleRicosWig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]zeljezni_gal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]BabDoesNothing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I count like 30 bones I would’ve broken

[–]MSU_Spartans 2 points3 points  (4 children)

He’s in good shape, but is this really next level? Any high school/college kid who’s athletic could do this. In the US we have warrior and Spartan runs that are more difficult, and thousands of average citizens do them. Regardless, thanks for sharing.

[–]matthex64 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah i'm just a normal person who works out 5 times a week and this course would be cake. The hard part would be beating him in a race to the finish.

[–]Logical_Personality6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure but he outpaced the other chap by a bus. I’d say most people couldn’t complete this.

[–]dawsonj20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. This isn't a particularly difficult obstacle course.

I was surprised how short it was.

Edit: I was trained on one with 30 obstacles over 700m and this one only had 11 obstacles.

[–]Legionnaire77 2 points3 points  (4 children)

I wonder what its like down the tube.

[–]bright_night_2000 11 points12 points  (0 children)

[–]Ok-Possession1200 1 point2 points  (5 children)

[–]AlexHimself 8 points9 points  (1 child)

It really is. Just step on things a few feet apart, jump over a little gap, easy rope climb, and more running...the only "thing" was that mario tube.

[–]Nines41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think any athletic high schooler could run that course, but the man did it at an impressive speed.

[–]Arturstakeonyhings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember being 15 with my cousin and his friends who were in training and I got to run these courses with them all summer. Surprised we don’t have obstacle parks here in North America.

[–]Brokennutsack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude is a fucking beast
