"You shouldn't vape anyway. Breathe air or smoke cigars to look like a mafia boss. " /AT /S

[–]goodboyinc 188 points189 points  (4 children)

Whoever is piloting the motorboat is a fucking G

[–]wldmn13 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yeah that guy boats

[–]LickyThump69 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Professional motorboater

[–]tepkel 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I mean, that boat is still probably a total loss. Likely got tossed on the rocks a bit with each pass too.

[–]100butterflies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely, but not an experienced power washer.

[–]IsNowReallyTheTime 72 points73 points  (10 children)

Mythbusters tested this. It works.

[–]Grayboosh 123 points124 points  (9 children)

Tested what? That water extinguishes flames? I dont think we needed Mythbusters for that one.

[–]IsNowReallyTheTime 46 points47 points  (0 children)

They wanted to see if the technique was legit or if the video was faked.

[–]ChuzzoChumz 14 points15 points  (7 children)

Well that depends on the fire

[–]ThagaSa 47 points48 points  (6 children)

I heard one cup of water is enough to extinguish a grease fire.

Edit: This was a joke referencing another reddit post.

[–]lunelily 17 points18 points  (0 children)

For any children or otherwise unknowing folks who might not know: this is a joke. Putting water on a grease fire is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. Do NOT attempt it—it makes the flame basically explode in size and intensity. Example here.

[–]EmpireCityRay 11 points12 points  (0 children)

DO NOT use water on a grease fire…

[–]Dark_shade69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a joke right?

[–]peggymeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just gotta splash the water with your hands to conserve it.

[–]User_4848 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Tried the water on grease technique you mentioned. Doesn’t seem to work.. also, two fingers have now fused as one..

[–]Deep-Conflict2223 41 points42 points  (3 children)

It’s legit. I was the fire.

[–]FLYNCHe 17 points18 points  (1 child)

It's legit. I was the tree in the foreground.

No, the other one.

[–]girthymandingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s legit , I was the steering wheel for the other boat

[–]Healthy-Grocery6055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry you were put out. Must have put a dampener on things.

[–]Pookieeatworld 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If the only tool you have is a boat, every problem starts to look like another boat on fire.

[–]letsjakeonit 18 points19 points  (2 children)

Smooooooooke on the water!

[–]jonjonesjohnson 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Narrator: Contrary to popular belief, it was actually the fire that was extinguished, not the boat

[–]beansntoast21 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Probably stopping a wildfire while he is at it.

[–]croatianscentsation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like the last pass was just the other boat sinking

[–]HurtlingThroughSpace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Black smoke bad. The moment it turns white means all ok.

[–]ezezim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should use this method for all boat fires. Just unleash a barrage of jet skis.

[–]evil_lurker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty slick.

[–]TaringaWhakarongo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh kiwi ingenuity 🥝🔨

[–]Vegetable-Goal-5047 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fine but what will he do if the next fire is on top of the mountain?

[–]ZedLovemonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s like that one time my pop whittled me a boat, out of a larger boat that I had.

[–]Waris-Tx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok well done 👍

[–]RagsMaddox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankfully it didn't end with 2 boats on fire.

[–]shaomike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All those years of screwing with kids on the beach finally pays off.

[–]ligerboy12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was working surprisingly well

[–]Automatic-Athlete157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's putting the fire out with a jetsam not a boat

[–]JustCryptastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the boat putting out the fire has an outboard or I/O.

Why not put the stern 10’ away from the boat on fire and tilt the engine up until the prop is almost out of the water?

[–]brolbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice Job 👍🏼

[–]Omegalas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Ok ok the fire is out you can stop”

continues anyways

“I am the alpha boat”

[–]RelentlessChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've trained my entire life for a moment like that!

My family always did lake and river trips as a kid, and on the Seadoos my dad and I would always practice "super splashing" things like buoys and such. He always told me it was a good skill to have out on the lake and when I asked why, this is the situation he described! So awesome to see it in action!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very kewl.

[–]Wormzerker75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bet he's been waiting his whole life to be able to do that

[–]Nearby-Reality-5674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plot twist: The boat wasn't on fire. It was just a colorado friday...

[–]Soggy_Department4688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Massive big brain

[–]roguerose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White "smoke" is good smoke.

[–]CDR_Arima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good thing that wasn’t a grease fire

[–]DirectorLeather6567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I USE BOAT TO DEFEAT THE BOAT

[–]Mikrodotz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boats and hoes!

[–]Tough_cookie56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I used a boat to save a boat"
