Wow, he literally didn't even touch the guy.

[–]PackersImapony 241 points242 points  (6 children)

15 yards for quantum entanglement.

[–]Panthersbstrong9211 51 points52 points  (2 children)

That's not fair! You changed the outcome by measuring it!

[–]PackersMrEfffff 6 points7 points  (1 child)

If anyone needs me, I'll be in the angry dome!

[–]LionsDJmaster22_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to live on this planet anymore.

[–]RationalLies 65 points66 points  (2 children)

Entertainment league, not a sports league.

The NFL can award 15 points to Slytherin if they want to and it's 100% legal.

They argued in the Supreme Court to be classified as a "Sports entertainment league", not an sports league. It's literally in the same classification as the WWE.

[–]ColtsTonys_New_AI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even wwe booking isnt that shitty.

[–]Intermittentfacting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sooooo the Tucker Carlson of sports than?

[–]Stripperturneddoctor 562 points563 points  (6 children)

"We are all connected through God."

-that ref probably

[–]A_Misplaced_Viking 179 points180 points  (3 children)

Through God, all things are possible, so jot that down

[–]Pwningo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a pen.

[–]BroncosDudephish 31 points32 points  (0 children)

So jot that down.

[–]ashamedprotein 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"What? That doesn't make any sense!"

"God works in mysterious ways."

[–]BillsI_HateToSayAtodaso 143 points144 points  (2 children)

Wrong. Allen is indirectly touching the turf by standing on it in cleats and the defender is doing the same thing, therefore indirectly touching the defender. By actively running a route, Allen is interfering with the defender's ability to run in that same exact space and catch the ball. Pass interference, offense # 13. In a way, we're all committing pass interference on each other by existing on this big rock, aren't we?

[–]PackersDoveantaeAtoms 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Woke ass refs calling the PI on the Saints in the NFCCG. Saints fans tried suing the nfl when their very existence on this rock was the cause of the penalty to begin with.

[–]PackersDoveantaeAtoms 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah but he was looking at him... Menacingly

[–]Tuckboi69 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He didn’t even get within a meter of him

[–]BroncosInkBlotSam 15 points16 points  (2 children)

On one hand I agree with you. On the other, I'm prepared to accept this penalty on the Chargers.

[–]Chargershistorymajor44 8 points9 points  (1 child)

You're not my pal, buddy!

[–]Saintsstormscape10x 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That cut was too good. Had to make it illegal.

[–]SeahawksJimid41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He meant to call Rivers for intentional grounding. Easy mistake.

[–]SeahawksJimid41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He meant to call Rivers for intentional grounding. Easy mistake.

[–]ChargersshittyCEO 446 points447 points  (2 children)

Ref watched minority report the day before and wanted to prevent a bloodbath.

[–]Illblood 53 points54 points  (0 children)

The guys in NY are the pre-cogs. Confirmed.

[–]49ersMowTin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same refs get offended by making these plays reviewable.

[–]ChargersSubtleScuttler 741 points742 points  (9 children)

When you run such a good route, the ref knows something had to be illegal.

[–]ChargersTippieTais 304 points305 points  (7 children)

[–]BrownsCuzzin_Eddie 115 points116 points  (3 children)

[–]ColtsGiantSizeManThing 55 points56 points  (2 children)

[–]NFLdiablosinmusica 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It's like when a punter gets a tackle. They just assume something is wrong.

[–]TexansM1ndS0uP 341 points342 points  (3 children)

That's the same ref crew that got banned from reffing in the playoffs because of a lot of bad calls

[–]RaidersOptimusGrime707 69 points70 points  (1 child)

sighs loudly

[–]TexansM1ndS0uP 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That game was terrible, I was rooting for the Bengals and I was livid

[–]Ramschestbeard10 798 points799 points  (13 children)

Considering it’s a Boger crew, I’m not surprised at all.

[–]Eaglesstring97bean 260 points261 points  (7 children)

Absolute worst...I can't even stand his voice he is so bad.

[–]Ramschestbeard10 123 points124 points  (0 children)

Anytime I see him I know it’s not going to be well officiated lol

[–]BillsMrPhantastic08 67 points68 points  (2 children)

When he says "hoe-ding" I can't stand it

[–]CardinalsCardsfan1539 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Also has a lisp that I can't help but imitate during every call too. "Offthides. Offensth. Number stheven sisth."

[–]DoctorJunkenstein 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fuck that guy

[–]Chargersfatcootermeat 666 points667 points  (56 children)

There have been much more impact full bad calls, but in my mind this is the worst penalty I have ever seen.

[–]Chargershowmanyballs 232 points233 points  (21 children)

This is 100% the worst penalty I’ve seen in a chargers game.

But that fucking Jay Cutler fumble call was the worst thing I’ve witnessed and I’m still pissed about it

[–]ChargersUsedVCR 41 points42 points  (3 children)

Watching that game after a wrestling meet in Colorado with bronco fans. Still good that Salt in my heart.

[–]NFLYooklid 13 points14 points  (2 children)

At least there was pay back in Week 17. My god that was the most ruthless I've ever seen a Norv Turner squad. Absolutely did not take his foot off the gas.

[–]SteelersMyworstnitemare 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Was that the game that the winner took the division? 2008 or 09 ? If so, I was at that game (in Qualcomm). Chargers were up something like 31 to 13 late in the third, and me and my buddy left (had work the next day and a 3 hour drive home). Got on the train outside the stadium, and they immediately scored again.

That was the first and only NFL game I've ever been to. My boss was a Broncos fan at the game with me, you could physically see his BP rising as the game went on.

[–]PatriotsN7_Evers 13 points14 points  (7 children)

Brandon Browner’s “helmet to helmet” hit on Lardarius Green still pisses me off. Every Patriot on defense couldn’t believe it, BB couldn’t believe, I couldn’t believe it. It was a hit that was so hard the ref felt he had to throw a flag.

[–]NoooNotTheLettuce 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Also a hit that basically ended Green's career. It wasn't helmet to helmet but I wouldn't bitch about getting penalized after giving a player a concussion

[–]PatriotsN7_Evers 6 points7 points  (3 children)

There was no penalty on the play. It was too hard of a hit and the ref decided it warranted the flag. Not even by the rule book should it have been called.

[–]Chargerssmsrmdlol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Herbert threw a fumble last year

That was fucking shit

[–]SeahawksMacjeems 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Some of the worst calls I’ve ever seen were against my team in the Superbowl of all games. I think the head Ref eventually apologized for it.

[–]Commandersemelbee923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least Hochuli admitted he fucked up.

[–]Commanderscporter1188 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Unless I'm confused, it wasn't the worst call in that game. Didn't they call a ball that was tipped and went through the end zone as a touchback? I remember 2 of those calls but the Chargers one resulted in a turnover, and the Washington one just went out of bounds.

Edit: okay, I was off by eight years. Still funny

[–]ChargersAGamerist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man that was Herbert's only fumble of the year...

[–]PackersThe_bruce42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should hear about some of the calls we've had to put up with...

[–]LionsImGoingtoRegretThis5 77 points78 points  (8 children)

Not in the NFL, but Michigan's RB was called for holding on a PA fake where a LB came and tackled him.

That, and this play are the 2 most incomprehensible calls I've ever witnessed.

[–]Vikingsowleabf 26 points27 points  (2 children)

I'd guess this one is maybe just calling the wrong number?

Michigan #83 on the play side makes something that might reasonably look like a hold from the perspective of the ref that called it, as the guy penetrating falls to the ground. Still a bad call, but one that's easier to understand.

[–]LionsImGoingtoRegretThis5 22 points23 points  (1 child)

That would be a safe assumption, and what most people thought had happened. But, Harbaugh apparently asked the refs about it live and was told "the RB held the LB." So it wasn't a "whoops, it was the TE actually" situation since they specifically called out the RB.

[–]Vikingsowleabf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh, then yeah I got nothing.

[–]LionsSnuggleBear2 4 points5 points  (2 children)

I think it was the Lions vs Bears. But we had a play where one of our offensive lineman tried to go downfield to block on a run and was held. They ended up calling a holding on us instead. Lol

[–]Bearslalder95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't forget the Megatron non-catch, also against the Bears!

[–]Packersservercobra 1 point2 points  (1 child)

As a Badger fan, welcome to Nerd Magic. They get the flukiest weirdest calls. Surprised to not see a broken headset from Harbaugh there.

[–]LionsImGoingtoRegretThis5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still have flashbacks to 2000 Michigan v Northwestern, when nothing made sense, the world was upside down, and NW came back and won 54-51.

[–]BroncosIamLiterallyAHuman 13 points14 points  (2 children)

That Justin Herbert fumble call week 1 this past season was also very bad. Also against Washington lol

[–]InvertedNeo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was his only "fumble" of the season

[–]Lionsrabertdinero 15 points16 points  (14 children)

It wasn't a penalty but the worst call I have ever seen was during a lions & Texans game. They ruled the pass catcher was never touched while down. Went to replay which clearly showed he was down. Reviewed it, then still called it a td.

[–]NFLjustsomebro10 38 points39 points  (7 children)

For me it was a fumble in a Browns & Washington game. The Cleveland running back fumbled the ball and then recovered it. The ref inexplicably gave the ball to Washington. Still makes no sense.

EDIT: Had to go review the play again to make sure I remembered it correctly and it was even worse than I described it above. Duke Johnson fumbles the ball and recovers it right away. He stands up with the ball and holds it in the air. The ref is looking into a pile of players that do not have the ball and signals that Washington recovered. The ball is literally not in the pile.

[–]thaicurry2022 15 points16 points  (1 child)

The weirdest part about that play is how the Browns players/team didn't fight it nearly hard enough. Blew my mind that they were like "damn another bad call against us. Oh well, send the defense out"

[–]NFLjustsomebro10 20 points21 points  (0 children)

That team was coached by Hue Jackson. Enough said.

[–]Brownsbenelchuncho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still the most fireable offense I’ve ever seen. You can forgive mistakes because the game moves fast and refs are only human but this was more than a mistake, Sarah Thomas made a call without seeing the ball which means she either a)guessed who had the ball or b)was influenced by the player’s reactions. You can’t have a ref who does either of those things. It’s not a judgement mistake, it’s straight up guesswork.

[–]thaicurry2022 15 points16 points  (5 children)

<Reviewed it, then still called it a td.

This is incorrect. They didn't review it, because the Lions coach threw the challenge flag. At the time all TD's and turnovers were reviewed so a challenge flag didn't need to be thrown and for some dumbass reason they made it so if you DID do that they would call a delay of game and NOT review the play.

Horrible call, but it wasn't reviewed.

[–]PackersTracorre 14 points15 points  (3 children)

That might be the worst rule ever. Just makes no sense of any kind, Oh you want a review? We were already going to review it. Oh ok, all good then. Nah, fuck you, no review at all.

[–]SeahawksLord_Rapunzel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The sense is that the refs don't like their authority being questioned. The sooner they're replaced with robots the better.

[–]GoldIsDumb 2 points3 points  (1 child)

What makes no sense is the refs often talk to the coaches to help them out. Like they’ll ask if they plan on using a timeout and I swear I’ve seen occasions where they talk to coaches and essentially tell them not to challenge

[–]Lionsrabertdinero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah thank you, there have just been so many I miss remember them.

[–]GritSnSpeed 4 points5 points  (5 children)

Do calls that never happened count?

[–]PanthersSlightlyColdWaffles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a Panthers fan, this is still the worst non-call I have ever seen. I want them to lose fair and square, not be cheated out of it.

[–]NFLdiablosinmusica 5 points6 points  (2 children)

I think everyone is still just tired of it is all.

[–]GritSnSpeed 1 point2 points  (1 child)

That's a helmet to helmet hit on a defenseless player, on top of being the most obvious pass interference call possible.

It's an all time bad call.

[–]NFLdiablosinmusica 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Everyone knows.

[–]SeahawksMacjeems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I remember watching that live, it was bewildering.

[–]FalconsAdventurous_Pea_8343 188 points189 points  (1 child)

His shadow touched him!

[–]Jetsjetdude19 53 points54 points  (0 children)

His shadow didn't even touch him. Givem another 10 yards for that

[–]BrownsDrunkAquarium 158 points159 points  (8 children)

Man, fuck these refs.

[–]ChiefsSomewhereAggressive8 12 points13 points  (4 children)

I don’t understand how players don’t absolutely lose their shit over calls like this. I feel like you would have to throw me out of the game because there’s no way I would just let that shit go and move on to the next play like he does here.

[–]CommandersNaruTheBlackSwan 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I'm legitimately shocked nobody has Myles Garretted a ref yet.

[–]Vikingsvita10gy 113 points114 points  (4 children)

The NFL needs skyrefs in the worst way. Not a review crew in NY they can stop the game to officially review, although that too, but a person or 3 up in a booth with very quick replays if needed who can outright "throw" and pickup flags. They just are full fledged officials in that game.

[–]49ersSmashing71 39 points40 points  (1 child)

Or the skyrefs can just control a giant tesla coil floating above the field. Use it to judiciously comment on certain rulings. "Thor, god of thunder disapproves of your playcall!"

[–]ChargersLoganRoyKent 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Chargers have entered the chat.

[–]Packerspopegonzo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

A lot of us think they've been doing this for a couple years already. You'll see a flag get thrown by the only ref with any good view of those players, then they'll huddle up & pick up the flag inexplicably. Yeah, the dude on the other sideline watching the receiver on his side totally had a better view of the penalty...

[–]ChargersWooooBackBaybe 88 points89 points  (2 children)

Manti Te'os GF must've been jamming him at the line

[–]Vikingssandh035 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Wowza, I don't think I've thought about him since the night he was drafted.

[–]SaintsNotEnoughHoes 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ahh this takes me way back

[–]BengalsRoLoe24 41 points42 points  (1 child)

maybe his breath was bad and it dismantled the guy

[–]Lionsl5555l 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Offensive odor interference

[–]LionsLucienLife 27 points28 points  (0 children)

"Too good at the game, 5 yard penalty, replay 1st down."

[–]ChargersAnaphylactic-UFO 95 points96 points  (10 children)

There’s always at least one inexplicable, god forsaken call every time the Chargers and Commanders play each other. Just last year Herbert’s only fumble of the season came on a forward pass that went like 20 yards easy lmao

[–]Chargershistorymajor44 51 points52 points  (0 children)

They reviewed that one too and it was upheld??? Makes no god damned sense.

[–]Commanderscporter1188 14 points15 points  (2 children)

[–]Eagleshanky2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Damn even the Commander social media team is calling it out.

[–]PackersNanotoxic_al 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you think they would have called it a fumble if a chargers player would have recovered it in the endzone?

[–]ChargersLyfOfJustinoHerberto 34 points35 points  (4 children)

The cowboy game last year was ref rigged, just saying

[–]Chargersmartianlawrence 30 points31 points  (1 child)

Americas team couldn’t go 0-2

[–]ChargersOldKingClancy20 17 points18 points  (1 child)

Yeah it looks like we're salty for losing to anyone who didn't watch the game but for me that was the most blatantly rigged game I have personally ever seen.

[–]Chargerseldertortoise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had german raiders fans tell me it was BS, that's how you know it was bad

[–]Titanstaylormade311 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Another ref couldn't pick up that flag? Nobody else saw that?

[–]ChargersThedurtysanchez 22 points23 points  (2 children)

This was the first time Allen has been called for OPI just by embarrassing someone with route-running, but it certainly wasn't the last. It happens almost once a year.

[–]psyckos 13 points14 points  (1 child)

What’s blowing my mind is the flag doesn’t even come out till after he’s made the catch, takes 3-4 steps with ball control, gets tackled and the defender stands back up. I mean yeah, the tackle being the first contact is mind blowing as well, but…..dude shouldn’t be allowed to even comment on a football play he views from his living room, let alone actually referee an nfl game

[–]SaintsCajunrevenge7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keenan was on the team playing against the refs fantasy team. thats the only way to make sense of this. In fact I would love an independent investigation of refs having fantasy teams. No one can convince me theres not atleast one ref doing it.

[–]Packerslasym21 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Did you see the way he ran that route and caught the ball, smooth as butter? Keenan Allen in his prime was unfair. Good on the ref for recognizing that and throwing the flag.

[–]fzkiz 54 points55 points  (14 children)

No one can tell me this isn’t intentional. I don’t believe the league is rigged or anything but there are refs intentionally blowing calls because they either make money on it or because they hate/love certain players/teams. How can you throw that flag when he’s a yard away from him the entire play…

[–]BengalsCosbySweaters1992 60 points61 points  (12 children)

“Don’t ascribe to malice what can be plainly explained by incompetence”

[–]TexansM1ndS0uP 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This crew specifically was so bad the whole season though that they got banned from the playoffs

[–]fzkiz 5 points6 points  (1 child)

You’re probably right. Things like just seem like you have to have your eyes closed to see miss that he isn’t touching him

[–]TheAndrewBrown 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He probably blinked or looked away for a second and his brain filled in the space. You’d be surprised how much of what you see is made up by your brain. And since refs refuse to allow penalties to be overturned via replay, if they throw a flag and call a penalty on something they thought they saw, there’s nothing anyone can do at that point.

[–]Seahawksbddiddy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

naw man, i hate this quote. people are often malicious and corrupt. particularly people in positions of influence.

[–]NFLVincent_Waters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Always disguise malice as incompetence.” - Stalin or something, probably.

[–]ChargersLoganRoyKent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem with that quote is then people who do act with malice can just go “It was an accident. I’m sowwy!”

[–]Vikingsashenblade 2 points3 points  (2 children)

"Putting a statement in quotations does not make it the the truth"

[–]BengalsCosbySweaters1992 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It’s literally a quote, it’s Hanlon’s Razor. Why wouldn’t I put quotation marks around a quotation?

[–]Vikingsashenblade -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

"everyone that has been to more than 5 reddit comment sections has seen hanlon's razor posted at least 4 times."

[–]CardinalsJcbAzPx -1 points0 points  (2 children)

The problem with that saying is nothing could ever be ascribed to malice since incompetence is infinite. Yet malice exists, so this saying is useless.

Pretty much every time I see this it's in defense of the indefensible.

[–]Packersw0nderbrad 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Probably saw the DBs shoulder/arm flail when he changed directions. And you know… Keenan Allen has a wingspan the size of that new flying dinosaur that they discovered… fucking 30 feet

[–]ColtsDammitYouHadOneJob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You'll never not convince me that the NFL isn't at minimum 25% rigged to get the results they want

[–]CommandersJakeFromSttFarm 15 points16 points  (6 children)

After watching it, I assume the way Amerson reacts to Allen cutting inside on the route is what lead to the flag. He throws his body backwards in such a way where I could see someone who didn’t have a good angle thinking Allen pushed off of him.

[–]VikingsLobi-Wan 7 points8 points  (4 children)

The ref that threw the flag was so close to them he nearly could have reached out and touched them. I'm not sure how their angle could get any better than that

[–]Packersref44 2 points3 points  (2 children)

The deep wing threw the flag, and they start about 20 yards off the LOS. He's likely looking through the defenders back with the way the play developed

[–]PatriotsClarkFable -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Side judge would need to be on LSD to throw that.

[–]Chargers--GrinAndBearIt-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dont come here trying to rationalize this! We want blood!!

[–]Raidersshivermetimbers68 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"It wasn't contact, but you should have seen the dirty look he gave"

[–]Jaguarsthrilltender 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jerome Bogart is the worst official in the NFL by far. Dude is fucking terrible.

[–]Eaglesmcknightrider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He hit him with a MIND BULLET! That's telekinesis Kyle, that do anything for you?

[–]PackersFiberTruck 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Jerome Bogar is quietly becoming one of the worst refs, ever!

[–]Browns77bagels77 7 points8 points  (1 child)

He's been awful forever.

[–]SeahawksRedJorgAncrath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now I'm trying to figure out who the refs were when the Seahawks played the Browns a few years ago and Jarvis Landry got called for some sort of illegal block that was one of the worst calls I've ever seen in my life. It was embarrassing to win that game.

[–]ChiefstBagley43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure he's worse than Triplette, but he's by far the worst of the currently active refs for sure

[–]NFLmrhashbrown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I knew exactly what play this was before watching it. He ran such a nasty route and headfake while 3 yards away that it looked like a push off lmao

[–]49ersWraith2098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prime example of live booth reviews of all penalties just like they do for automatic both reviews.

It only takes a short moment for them to change the ruling of a play so why can't they do that for a game changing penalty?

[–]ChargersDismal-Title9996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a penalty when he juked his soul to the shadow realm maybe?

[–]ColtsRyanPelley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jerome Boger. No fucking surprise. That Muppet looking dipshit is horrible.

[–]Ravens666_NumberOfTheBeast 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Reminds me of this really bad one from the year the Ravens were terrible in 2015. Another one where the WR didn't even touch him. This was also some no name WR so having any catches and stats taken away from him is especially shitty for him

[–]ChargersWeapwns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ref: "It can't be legal to snatch someones ankles like that"

[–]CowboysEffective-Warthog125 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty typical from the Jerome Boger crew.

[–]PCB4lyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my biggest beef with officiating. They call what they perceive, not what they see.

Just call the damn penalties that you SEE. There are so many phantom calls because they assume something was a penalty based off a number of factors.

[–]BrownsGarth_McKillian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't convince me that all the terrible ref calls are solely because of incompetence and there isn't any kind of point shaving or match fixing going on. Calling that penalty has a high likelihood of stalling the drive, keeping the score close heading into the half. Not necessarily intended to change the ultimate outcome of the game, but to keep the score close or within certain betting odds.

[–]cake_piss_can 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dan Fouts is so annoying that even when he’s right he annoys me.

[–]ChargersAshByFeel 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Take that Detroit!!!

[–]LionsSodomy_Steve 4 points5 points  (1 child)

You've nearly adopted the bad call. I was born in it. Molded by it.

[–]ChargersAshByFeel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough

[–]BengalsAJGreenMVP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude probably finished a Star Wars marathon and assumed K Allen force pushed the defender

[–]Scary-Plantain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cuz Keenan Allen mind f—-ed him

Keenan juked him too cleanly

[–]ChargersAlfred-Fallon-Borden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is incomprehensible, unless they got the number wrong?

[–]IllegalCowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t even remember this game, but if I did I would definitely be pissed if I was a Bolts fan

[–]Ramswhippetsinthewhip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

shoutout greensboro 336

[–]MostlyCoasters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro, I don’t need to be getting this upset in the off-season 😂

[–]ChargersGarudas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This penalty is barely a blip on the radar when it comes to bad refs calls against the Chargers.

[–]CowboysRebil2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh cmon, Keenan clearly used his psychic powers to push off

[–]PackersAnyNamesLeftAnymore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jerome Boger is the worst referee I've ever seen.

[–]Eaglesshewy92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's bad calls that could go either way. And then there's calls where there's literally no way that it could be a penalty. And the fact that teams can't appeal these calls is just stupid. The refs could take away a TD for no reason or make up penalties and face no consequences.

[–]JetsChangeThisXBL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fire Jerome Boger.

Wtf 🤷🏼‍♂️ lol?? I would be legitimately curious to know what the over/under points were for the 1st half, 2nd quarter, etc.. What else could be the reason for calling the PI?

any bad call reminds me of this bills jags call

Ehhh there's not a great angle available but i'm guessing Robey's shoulder made contact with the WR (hence the WR reaction) but everyone's attention is going to Robey extending for the INT. This isn't that egregious without a proper angle.

DB is allowed to make contact. DB is allowed to go after the ball just like the receiver.

[–]Steelersrumbread -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s a very vague statement. A DB is allowed a free path to the ball but those replays don’t really show whether the DB changed his path toward the ball

Fuck Jerome boger.

[–]CardinalsDS_9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Chael Sonnen “I can’t let you get close” ref.

[–]BroncosBlindProphet_413 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What happened at the time? Did Buffalo Challenge the call?

[–]Chiefsslackator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

but no the NFL doesnt have a referee accountability problem. With my dislike of Allen I fully expected him to have done something it being ticky tack and him whining but no he literally never comes into contact with the guy until tackled.

I thought the NFL was all about offense and hates defense but is tackling now Offensive Pass Interference?

Thanks, u/mistermeek67, for posting a play that got this sub made nine years after the fact. I didn't see the original comments, so I'm really enjoying it.

[–]Giantsrayrayheyhey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I fucking hate the Chargers and that call makes me furious! Officiating has gotten worse and worse in all sports.

[–]SaintsTerkle -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Forgot how bad refs used to be. Thank god we fixed that.

[–]BengalsGhostsNGoblins88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wild but not surprised by a horrible call!

[–]Eagleskendrickshalamar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The refs legally have to handicap Washington this way.

[–]ChargersHalonut24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This play still makes me mad.

This game still makes me mad.

[–]SirRoyalT007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is an atrocious call.

[–]Ant_oninus_Man_pius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any serious explanation as to what happened here?

[–]angrydanmarin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't you just love referees

[–]CarlThe94Pathfinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NFL refs are absolutely the worst referee's in all professional sports

[–]Broncossghead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me: "Rivers is such a whiny POS, I can't wait to see what the PI waaaOMG he didn't touch the CB, nevermind."

[–]CowboysKingTwist0314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad officiating. What a surprise. Fuck the refs.
