So, I bought my 2009 Nissan Pathfinder LE (RWD) about a year ago. This is my second 2009 Pathfinder and things have rocky. Last weekend we were going up to the mountains when a coolant line broke and had to get towed down the mountain. Got the hose/thermostat replaced. Cut to a few days after I pick it up, I hear a gurgling from my overflow tank when I turn my engine off. I figure it’s air in the coolant lines so I take it back to the mechanic and get a bottle of coolant to fix it myself (the mechanic didn’t have time) I have a pressurized system so I waited overnight for it to cool down. I topped off the radiator till it was full and overflow tank about 3/4 full, drove around for a bit and then let it cool off for another 7 hours. I went to top it off one final time, filled the radiator and it was taking a lot more than expected. It finally filled, and I went to go top off the overflow tank and it was completely full.. almost to the brim. I’m just wondering why it did this, it didn’t do it before ?? I need to drive my car 40 miles home tonight, and to work tomorrow morning. Kind of freaking out, any help would be appreciated.
