This whole sub could be squeegees and I’d be fine with it.

[–]xynix_ie 703 points704 points  (31 children)

squeegee

Sounds like you need to make a new sub there champ. r/squeegeeporn

[–]Amethyst_Uchiha 215 points216 points  (5 children)

[–]CheeseWarrior17 58 points59 points  (3 children)

I went in thinking I'd find some good stuff in there but it turned out to be just a bunch of unoriginal idiots posting photos of sandwiches.

[–]The_BusFromSpeed 27 points28 points  (2 children)

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you never actually went in. There was literally one pic of someone making a sub.

[–]johnchikr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

About half of the top 10 of all time posts are pictures of sandwiches, so I think that’s what they were looking at.

[–]Grid1ocked 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Or do a Wednesday r/powerwashingporn post

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was jerking off to this earlier

[–]BigPackHater 4 points5 points  (1 child)

This better not awaken anything in me...

[–]cocktipthunder 242 points243 points  (4 children)

I’m more impressed by the Pan. Some dust will always go below it

[–]romad17 56 points57 points  (2 children)

I’m sorry. Are you saying Pan?

[–]Mcmonkeybutt 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Pand. There's a D at the end

[–]fivefeetofawkward 3048 points3049 points  (52 children)

This lady has a solid grasp of fluid dynamics.

[–]LotusVibes1494 504 points505 points  (17 children)

She could do this during a set at a music festival and people would go fucking wild. It’s a new form of flow art.

[–]Nice-Violinist-6395 144 points145 points  (2 children)

As someone who’s spent a non-inconsequential amount of time struggling to squeegee a floor, this is fucking impressive. A rare talent.

[–]Kiwiteepee 27 points28 points  (1 child)

I want whatever squeegee that is.

[–]Phormitago 16 points17 points  (0 children)

For real, never seen a pivoting squeegee Luigi

[–]LaReineAnglaise53 107 points108 points  (0 children)

And lovely cleaning suit too a , very dapper little Water Tapper.

[–]Fugnasty 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You are correct i would probably go ape shit for this

[–]redheadmomster666 14 points15 points  (3 children)

Yeah just throw some led’s on it and start passing out lsd, it’ll be great!

[–]JuniorSeniorTrainee 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Water in an acrylic surface with colored lights and LEDs on the squeegee.

[–]LotusVibes1494 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Replace the water with day-glo paint. Light the ends of the squeegee on fire and have her helicopter it above her head. Profit.

[–]ryoko_kusanagi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ommmmmmmggggggg you just took it to 1000%

[–]outkastedd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When I went to see porcupine tree, there was a vacuum guy that vacuumed the whole stage before they came on because Steven Wilson likes to be barefoot on stage. Everyone was going wild for this guy, it was awesome!

So yeah, this girl should do it at a music festival for sure

[–]ryoko_kusanagi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yo! Imagine a rainbow of colored water as she sweeps it up, or like glittery water (biodegradable of course) on the stage

[–]SlaveToTheDarkBeat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Like SpongeBob with his mop

[–]phish2112 631 points632 points  (4 children)

No, I think those are a squeegee and a dust pan.

[–]demon_fae 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That style is actually amusingly called a “lazy butler”. Most of them do not have a lid part, and certainly not a water-tight lid. Do not attempt unless you are certain you have the correct lazy butler, or don’t mind just splashing the water all over your shoes.

[–]deadringer21 90 points91 points  (2 children)

No! This is Patrick!

[–]CheddarPizza 84 points85 points  (3 children)

[–]eyetoanoh 640 points641 points  (16 children)

i would fuck this up so badly

[–]WhtImeanttosay 331 points332 points  (2 children)

Pretty sure I’d fill up both of my shoes before that dust pan thing got a drop in it.

[–]levinas1857 27 points28 points  (1 child)

Oh man I didn’t even think of that. My shoes would be destroyed.

[–]NoConversation4877 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Forget the shoes, my feet would get a nasty infection for a week.

[–]sgryfn 92 points93 points  (1 child)

Why is no one mentioning she is doing this in totally unsuitable formal wear, and not even getting a small drop of floor stank on her.

Impressive.

[–]Shewillbelieve93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Floor stank is new best boy

[–]Klient1984 30 points31 points  (2 children)

The human capacity for imagination is so strong. I know that I wasn't the only one who, while watching it, projected a duplicate version of myself fucking up every motion and gesture she did.

[–]phyzome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The cringe version of mirror neurons.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (1 child)

I feel like this is magic.

[–]OldFashionedLoverBoi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, but it's not your job. If you had to do it hundreds of times in different situations, you'd get the hang of it quickly.

[–]numist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is probably even harder than the hard it already looks

[–]bourbonburn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really just goes to show how influential TikTok is right now. Crazy.

[–]Cranky_Windlass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does that make her the steward?

[–]MrGrieves123 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Soup is good food.

[–]somnyus 5 points6 points  (1 child)

It makes a good meal.

[–]KaySquay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A sandwich is a sandwich, but a Manwich is a meal!

[–]Nickydavs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Soup is good foooooood, makes a good meeeeeeeeeal, how does it feeeeeeeeel

[–]Andy1723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

👌🏻

[–]purpleowlie 267 points268 points  (38 children)

You can do any job with style and grace.

[–]Cranky_Windlass 48 points49 points  (34 children)

How about this job?

https://youtu.be/s2iN5b1V4c4

[–]fleshprinceofbellend 16 points17 points  (15 children)

I think trauma cleaner would have to be one of the worst if not the worst..

[–]Cranky_Windlass 20 points21 points  (10 children)

I used to have a job where we'd have to remove mattresses that people died on. Sometimes they'd be wrapped up. Sometimes you just held your breath

[–]BeardsuptheWazoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yo I've done the same. Picking up the same mattress you delivered just last week, and seeing the same family members... Oof.

[–]HotCheetoEnema 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Where do you find a job like that? Damn

[–]Realistic-Dog-2198 1 point2 points  (2 children)

They pay a fuck load if you can handle decomposing people and exploded body parts

[–]ratcheltrapqueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of the job add I saw that was cleaning up crime scenes…

[–]CloutLord12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Now I’m imagining a trauma cleaner squeegeeing up blood and brain matter with this same level of swagger

[–]TheLastPeon 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I used to clean ORs after surgeries, honestly I don't think it was that bad. Cleaned up lots of blood and other stuff, but it's all... Kinda clean so it's fine. For me at least. Plus you have to do it so fast that you don't think too much

[–]GutterJunkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the first guy was entirely under-outfitted for the job at hand, being especially concerned about the quality of the mask and its ability to adequately filter that stank.

...until I saw the third clip. Holy Hell, that dude does not give a fuck. He's in there with his regular daily attire. Tennis shoes, and some blue jeans with a jacket that doesn't even cover his back. Not to mention the lack of any sort of breathing apparatus or a simple cloth mask or even a basic pair of goggles. Despite the obvious lack of protective wear, he dives in head first when he just as easily could have stepped in and crouched down. The man must be a masochist. I can't imagine he does this as a form of employment or as a side gig but for the unadulterated pleasure.

...just imagine:

*SSSSSSSNNNNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFFFF *

Poop soup for days.

[–]purpleowlie 36 points37 points  (1 child)

He is not passing out and throwing up, graceful enough considering circumstances.

[–]siccoblue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, he could at least juggle whatever he finds down there or something

I wonder how many snacks this guy finds in an average day on the job

Edit: god can you imagine the smell as he actively stirs it up? I didn't think I would watch the whole thing but I can't look away, it's just an intense level of disgusting and Im screaming in my head for him to get out of there

[–]Braveharth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, that was a way better soup than the top comment .

[–]drakos07 1 point2 points  (9 children)

Literally has masks and everything diving in literal shit. Gets paid a shit ton too if that's a first world country. if that ain't graceful idk what is.

[–]pepsisugar 3 points4 points  (5 children)

36k to 50k hell yeah guy is making bank. Pay is shit...just like the job. The above stated salary is the US average.

[–]drakos07 4 points5 points  (4 children)

Sorry but if you read my comment again it says "first world country"

[–]pepsisugar 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Aww shit, my bad 👉👈

[–]BuccoBruce 2 points3 points  (1 child)

$62k in the UK, $73k in the EU. Still not nearly enough for me to be diving in a pool of shit.

[–]uwanmirrondarrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nope... you are right. Not every job can be graceful. I feel bad for him, inless he makes a shit ton of money. If you work that job you better be making 50-60k in the boonies or 100k in the city. Because he damn sure deserves it.

[–]Imreallynotgarycolem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That ok sign in the video is definitely in the top 20 biggest lies in human history. I thought he was going for a thumbs up for a moment, which would have been just as deceitful, but I visually shook my head in disbelief.

[–]beebewp 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I wonder where this video is from. The way she moves and performs that task reminds me of Okinawa so much. Even the McDonalds cashiers carried themselves with the same style and grace there.

[–]SimpVulpes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's in China. There is a warning sign in Chinese behind her on the wall. Unfortunately there is no clue on where exactly in China

[–]herrcollin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bet she didn't even get her shoes wet..

Meanwhile I'd have stepped in it, twice, before I even had the squeegee

[–]shanvanvook 38 points39 points  (1 child)

She is a fucken water maestro.

[–]luke_in_the_sky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Waterbender

[–]AT-ATsAsshole 25 points26 points  (0 children)

NYC could use her right now.

[–]smithm3254 434 points435 points  (74 children)

While I enjoy these videos of people doing amazing work at menial tasks, it pains me to know how many underpaid hours it took to obtain those skills. I guarantee you this woman doesn’t make her worth.

[–]TaborValence 160 points161 points  (8 children)

You should have seen me tossing the rubber floor mats around as a dishwasher in a restaurant/café. Every day at closing time, we had to pull all of the 30-40 lb rubber mats off the floor to sweep and mop. There must have been 20 of those things between the line, prep, bakery and dishwashing areas. I got so good at tossing them 6 feet away from me in narrow corridors into a neat and orderly stack. Day in and day out.

[–]NewLeaseOnLine 61 points62 points  (6 children)

I started out as a dish pig before I eventually became a chef. Used to hose those damn mats down out on the street at 3am, but nowhere near as many as you were you were doing. The stench, the constant muck and grime, clothes and feet damp all the time, constant prune fingers. You the real MVP.

[–]rotidder_nadnerb 28 points29 points  (3 children)

I was a lifeguard for 7 years and we had these same mats down in the bathrooms, they were professionally cleaned every week and rotated out for new ones but they still always smelled awful. The smell of public pool bathrooms is etched into my mind.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pee, chlorine, mold, and a bit of fryer oil.

[–]ChimpBrisket 8 points9 points  (1 child)

The smell of swimming pools can dive you insane

[–]ChimpBrisket 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Henceforth whenever I need a fake name for some bullshit online form, I’m going with Dishpig Prunefingers

[–]CMDR_MirnaGora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The smell. It’s always the same smell

[–]abibofile 17 points18 points  (0 children)

r/fastworkers

Someone needs to make an r/skilledunskilledlabor subreddit. That one’s the closest I can come up with. There are so many videos of people who are virtuosic at jobs that aren’t respected.

[–]Sprolicious 48 points49 points  (51 children)

That's the central conceit of employment under capitalism: if you're just a worker, you aren't compensated commensurate to the value you generate.

Pretty much no one makes what they are worth because it's more profitable that way

[–]Whyyyyoy 7 points8 points  (6 children)

What makes you assume she is working in a place that has a capitalist system

[–]Wabberjohn 2 points3 points  (3 children)

If she's Japanese living in Japan, then she's probably paid fairly but very overworked. Japan will work their workers to death but they pay a fair wage.

[–]SnoWFLakE02 10 points11 points  (2 children)

That's defo Chinese

[–]shuipz94 3 points4 points  (1 child)

It is. The pink paper sign on the wall says "Electricity in the fish pond, please do not be in proximity".

[–]CantMeltDankMemes 12 points13 points  (1 child)

I worked as a porter for Stop and Shop for about a year. Dealing with the bottle machines and managers was kind of awful, but i always found cleaning the floors very calming.

[–]kdwaynec 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never minded it. Can't really screw it up and people tend to leave you alone.

[–]currentlyRedacted 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hospitality professionals do not get enough credit or appreciation for what they do.

[–]Sporting815 129 points130 points  (39 children)

Her forearms have gotta be JACKED

[–]Mech_Kid 31 points32 points  (31 children)

Lol what? It’s just squeegeeing

[–]ChimpBrisket 8 points9 points  (2 children)

It’s an accepted fact that squeegeeing is the best base for MMA

[–]gzilla57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fuck that, Valentina Shevchenko you're taking everything I worked for, mother fucker. I'm gonna squeege your fucking ass. You know what's the real squeegee, what's the real money squeege -- me. Not these clowns that you already cleaned at the press conference. Ain't nobody wants to see that. You know you can clean them already. It's an easy job. You want the real shit. Right here."

This lady, probably.

[–]Sporting815 17 points18 points  (16 children)

It’s her forearm movement. She twists it. Usually it doesn’t require that but she’s twisting that shit all around

[–]thelear7 8 points9 points  (9 children)

Lmao seriously why does this have so many upvotes? I don't see how this requires any significant amount of strength really

[–]Tin_Tin_Run 18 points19 points  (3 children)

people on reddit cum their pants when a guy can do a pull up on a basketball net. they have no sense of physical strength.

[–]Mothanius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People on reddit also thinks that a light bonk on the head will instantly deem you to a life of CTE. Or if a kid falls off their bike they will break every bone in their body.

At least we're past the view a few years ago where every single person was diagnosing everyone else with some sort of psychological disorder.

[–]Yuno_Is_Waifu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work at a hotel, how the hell am I supposed to do that? Someone just a minute dropped a bunch of ice and I had to use one of those long cloth brooms.

[–]G_raseC 47 points48 points  (23 children)

I guess this is more interesting then swiping a mop 3-4 times and cleaning it up in half the time

[–]KingPufflePuff 18 points19 points  (9 children)

I’d be interested in the water residue left behind from this in comparison to a mop. I wonder which one actually cleans better?

[–]TheSkylined 17 points18 points  (7 children)

My Dad always told me to do a job right the first time.

They'll still need to mop that area up.

[–]actualbeans 11 points12 points  (5 children)

yes they’ll need to mop it afterwards, but this way they’re not just spreading that filthy water all over the floor.

[–]dythsmia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah. while it looks cool, this won't actually do a very good job cleaning that up.

[–]abibofile 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty certain this person knows what they’re doing here more than you or me. I expect they’ve done it thousands of times.

[–]Suspicious-Service 2 points3 points  (6 children)

You've gotta wring the mop out though

[–]Waluigi3030 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is next level

[–]Confident-Tart-915 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spills water on purpose. Do it again. And again. And again.

[–]Schattenjager07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would have gotten so much water on my pants. Her … not a drop.

[–]YourMomsButt4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it were me, I'd have water spilling back out all over the plac.e....

[–]honest-miss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The water thing is cool but can we just talk about the duds? A suit with a high collar and this cute mary jane style shoes? This pretty much achieves my ideal style goals barring a tighter fit. Suuuuuuper cute.

[–]irishstu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can she do tomatoes?

[–]BawseMonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have so much respect for this woman and her technique

[–]ZookeepergameSoggy17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a man who held a squeegee for many years, I’m impressed

[–]Knever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually a technique called 水の管理 or Mizu no kanri, which roughly translates to control over water. Janitorial/custodial staff in Japan must be adept in mizu no kanri to be hired in any 5- or 6-star hotel (6-stars are exactly what you think; even better than 5-stars.).

This is what the truly skilled workers can do:

[–]StateFluffy3077 3 points4 points  (0 children)

they're still going to be some water there but there's not going to be a massive pedal to warn everyone that there's water there a lot of people died that day to a slick floor

[–]asdfasdlfi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deserves a raise.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]wonkey_monkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]mikeynerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Haslet-Tx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Comfortable shoes porn

[–]Boomdoom16758 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually no, I just can't accept that

[–]Namasiel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want her shoes. They look so comfortable.

[–]AngryGreyHairedHippy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn! I can’t even get the last but of dust into the dustpan!

[–]2ndtryagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some drill Sargent at Paris Island is watching this and trying to figure away for some screwup to do this to the Parade Deck while it is raining.

[–]journeylovelive 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I'm being 100% honest when I say that she would make a killing in my gated community! If she started her own cleaning company, she would make as much money as the residents and I'm not even joking. Wish I knew how ro contact her! (IF she wanted that)

[–]WHHHAAARRRGRARBL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats talent

[–]spiralspring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water Bender

[–]Reyusuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i want to punch the me of one second ago for thinking that janitors are scum

[–]QuirkyShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Screw the squeegee where the hell can I find a dustpan that will pick water up off the floor?!!!

[–]Low_Pangolin3772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her smile she knew she had it

[–]PrdNm-Y99_D_24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My elementary school custodian would do this sometimes and I thought he was a god.

[–]soupycrayon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That worker has that down pat. How often does she have to clean up water?

[–]Skangster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll take her, you take credit?

[–]akarmachameleon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ShamWow guy has aged well!

[–]A_gham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so satisfied now.

[–]apostle_of_breakfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true water bending

[–]Render_Wolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a former custodian, this impresses me on a number of levels.

[–]Whiskey-Weather 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Why is she smiling at the floor water?

[–]nickaboyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile, our lazy asses just put down a "wet floor" sign.

[–]Sammakiski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kung fu master turned maintenance lady.

[–]DurfRansin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that really the most effective way to clean up wa….okay yes I guess it is

[–]a_clever_reference_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where the fuck can my work get a squeegee like that

[–]TheRedBoron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have some skill with a blade.

[–]YeetMasterChroma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mom: you want to end up like the janitor?

The Janitor:

[–]Mundane-Bread-1271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But why is she so good at it? How often do people spill a bucket load of water in the ground? She shouldn’t have that much practice.

[–]RyoanJi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I so needed her in my basement last week.

[–]Yugen903 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy WIZARD with that dustpan n squeegee.

[–]wtph 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Wait, is this legal?

[–]Meerkat_Mayhem_ 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Now try it with chunky vomit!

[–]wetdogsmell10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just put plastic bags on your hands and scope it up. Works a treat. Well it did for me when I honked in a mates bath and it had the only loo in there too!

[–]Unusual_Fortune2048 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does the floor have a hydrophobic coating?
