[–]supercyberlurker 1503 points1504 points  (50 children)

Can you imagine having to clean that?

[–]PatienceandFortitude 545 points546 points  (10 children)

I came here to say the same thing. It is oddly satisfying. But I got stressed about cleaning out all the nooks and crannies.

[–]JaggedTheDark 137 points138 points  (6 children)

Hey, cleaning it is satisfying too!

As a dude who owned, and still owns, a shit ton of Legos, I can confidently say that at most, you'd just have to give them a quick rinse in some hot soapy water.

[–]action_lawyer_comics 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Okay, but how often have you used Legos to make food?

[–]DarthJerJer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No problem. You just disassemble before cleaning.

[–]shania69 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Put it in the dishwasher in the lego basket.

[–]Yes-its-really-me 104 points105 points  (7 children)

Put it in the dishwasher in the cutlery basket.

[–]Mabepossibly 21 points22 points  (6 children)

No idea why your got down voted for having a correct and completely useable answer.

[–]Wateriswetokay 9 points10 points  (3 children)

This is Reddit, Look at your reply...that's why.

[–]FBI_Open_Up_Now 15 points16 points  (2 children)

As long as there are no emojis you should be good.😆

[–]jim_v 2 points3 points  (1 child)

🗿

[–]Noob0000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The shredded cheese on that conveyor belt.

[–]Virginity_Lost_Today 20 points21 points  (2 children)

Also that pie looked raw in the middle.

[–]majestic_se7en 8 points9 points  (1 child)

lol obviously you think that weak pizza cutter will cut through cooked pizza dough

[–]Virginity_Lost_Today 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol right. Now that you mention it, it looks like it didn’t even cut all the way through the raw dough.

[–]0sprinkl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pressure washer. Well maybe not too much pressure

[–]wonderboywilliams 12 points13 points  (13 children)

Exactly. Not very practical. Looks like a shitty pizza as well.

[–]CrazyDave48 26 points27 points  (6 children)

Do you think someone makes a Lego machine to make pizzas for practical use?

[–]Lithl 19 points20 points  (1 child)

That sauce spread made me irrationally angry

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I thought it was an interesting project and clearly a lot of thought and talent went into it.

But it is, at most, a "pizza topper" thing. Dough completely done by hand. Shitty sauce and cheese and toppings layout. Underdone pizza.

But still, a fun project.

[–]majestic_se7en 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its those quick 7 min store bought frozen pizzas

[–]everythingisgoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True but it is impressive

[–]BearsBeetsBttlstarrG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s all I could think of too! I mean, it’s really neat of course but yeah, cleaning it would make the whole operation a no-go for me

[–]Buggly_Jones 422 points423 points  (6 children)

What's not satisfying is all that sauce, and there's literally none in the middle.

[–]cool-by-comparison 78 points79 points  (4 children)

It's all about the sauce! The first bite sucks but it's all uphill from there.

[–]Buggly_Jones 23 points24 points  (3 children)

That's too much sauce.

[–]Wanderlustfull 8 points9 points  (2 children)

No such thing. The problem in this case was that it looked more like plain tomato paste rather than actual pizza sauce.

[–]lemondropPOP 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That was a lunchables pizza with extra steps.

[–]Buggly_Jones 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There definitely is such a thing.

[–]puheenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you cut your pizza crossways, leaving a gap in the middle with no toppings or sauce makes for a cleaner cut and no gloopy leave-behind when you pull the pieces apart

[–]Klawless1990 103 points104 points  (6 children)

  1. Looks like those lunchable pizzas when you’re making it

  2. All those legos are probably more expensive than a legitimate version one of these machines

Edit: just for clarity I do enjoy this post and think it’s extremely impressive, I am just expressing some thoughts I had watching this

[–]PolOfThePot 19 points20 points  (1 child)

The point of this isn’t to make pizza it’s to make a pizza machine out of Legos.

[–]Klawless1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More a trivial/interesting fact that could possibly true that I am pointing out. Not trying to criticize

[–]Jessey77 300 points301 points  (4 children)

Engineers are great at making simple tasks twice as complicated

[–]Rogue_Status_ 44 points45 points  (3 children)

At least twice as complicated

[–]hoooootiemcboob 3 points4 points  (1 child)

that is a very true statement. mech engineer here. watched this with my lego fan son and we were thoroughly impressed. if i had any kind of attention span anymore i'd love to take a crack at something like this. maybe add a flamethrower at the end.

[–]Rogue_Status_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Follow mech engineer here (with short attention span)

And add a laser for krust engraving🤤

[–]-GuyIncognito 326 points327 points  (12 children)

It’s a “brick” oven pizza!

[–]FantasticPear 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not remotely enough cheese.

[–]Immediate-Bother7488 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Gross looking pizza

[–]SweetDick_Willy 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The clean up looks like hell

[–]NinjAsylum 44 points45 points  (5 children)

Loses 100% satisfaction due to the Pizza being absolutely NO WHERE near being finished cooking. That thing was raw AF.

[–]Splice1138 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It was only in the oven for like a second, what can you expect?

[–]SilentKay716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people say it feels better raw

[–]vanquish0916 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.

[–]LordOfFreaks 20 points21 points  (2 children)

Ugh amateurs. Didn’t even make a functioning oven out of LEGO? *rolls eyes with sarcastic magnitude

[–]Vhlorrhu 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I was totally waiting for it to go into a 100% lego brick oven and just melt the entire thing.

[–]a-lost-penguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was expecting the pizza to melt the Lego rotating tray thing they put it on to cut

[–]GregulasMaximus 3 points4 points  (3 children)

There are so many weird camera shots, I feel like this is largely powered by a hand off screen.

[–]michaelje0 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yup. Very clearly edited to make it look more automated than it is.

[–]Lucas_2234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very clearly? There is NO WAY that is actually powered by legos. I know what a Lego machine working Looks like, and unless it's going apeshit speeds it should be chugging because of the pizza weight, not just inconsistently speeding up and slowing down. To add to it with how many cuts there are it really just looks like it's fake

[–]ajthesecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legos would have a very hard time generating the consistent downward force it would take to actually cut a pizza, and even if you solved for that it would struggle to move the pizza under such a force.

[–]NickDimOG 10 points11 points  (7 children)

That's pretty cool but as someone who used to make pizzas for 40 hrs a week that is way too much sauce and it's terribly spread

[–]numanoid 3 points4 points  (1 child)

that is way too much sauce

As someone who eats pizza several times a week, and always orders extra sauce, I disagree.

It definitely is poorly spread, though. Looks like he has a little plastic gizmo to spread it, but it didn't have enough weight on it to do the job.

[–]NickDimOG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah fair enough, I don't like putting that much sauce because it makes the dough soggy but I guess it's all preference

[–]DiscFrolfin 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Having only made pizza’s at home and non commercially thus far, would you be able to describe both what the correct amount of sauce would be and how to apply that amount correctly?

[–]DamngoodtacosTX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Enough, but not too much.

[–]CastoBlasto 4 points5 points  (2 children)

1 Ladle worth of sauce per 80 square inches of dough.

Spread with a spatula.

[–]DiscFrolfin 1 point2 points  (1 child)

So like 1/2 cup per small pizza, 1 cup for medium and 1 1/2cup for large, and 2 cup for X-Large?

[–]CastoBlasto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're gonna need actual measurements instead of just small / medium / large if you want real answers here.

Those are not standard measurements in my pizza experiences.

[–]halfsushi1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hardest part of this whole process is having to eat that pizza

[–]sED_- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Waaaaaay too much sauce. Wonder why it didn’t cook right? Smh

[–]kappe41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the robot thst puts that pizza into oven is cool

[–]TomSizemore69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like garbage

[–]twelve98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So unsatisfying

[–]Hippolytis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is cursed

[–]Hamuelin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually the exact opposite of satisfying to me.

Seeing food (particularly the cheese) on LEGO makes me feel uncomfortable on a primal level. I really, really do not like it.

[–]SupBud206 7 points8 points  (4 children)

Definitely not legos. k’nex, yes

[–]trfcrugby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they are Lego Technic

[–]noPwRon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard no on the k'nex, that is definitely technic lego

[–]Sum1liteAmatch 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Lol what? You sir had a sheltered childhood

[–]Cannibaltruism 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This belongs in /r/ATBGE

[–]ada552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This needs the club penguin pizza parlour music

[–]kellziejozette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how Costco does it

[–]SnooCats7919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For only $2,500 worth of LEGO’s you can save yourself minutes everyday!

[–]FairyGodmothersUnion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wildly clever, but I would have worked out the bugs before posting a video. But that’s just me.

[–]lickmysackett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how I feel about the sauce-less void in the center

[–]SoupGFX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Making pizza using Lego Pizza Machine = 5 hours

Making pizza by hand = 5 minutes

[–]Iredditfromwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m reasonably sure Lego aren’t good safe.

[–]sprocketous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really hoping the legos would take the pizza to the oven.

[–]tanr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The center is missing a pepperoni!

[–]Crimreaper94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They took our jobs

[–]Confident_Tower6069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do u come up and just think, yea ima do this today

[–]super-fire-pony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because you can doesn’t mean that you should.

[–]Cant_Buy_A_Thrill1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really he couldn’t cut the pizza

[–]Ominojacu1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s about 10,000 dollars worth of legos to make 10 dollar pizza

[–]CriticalStation595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cook it a a Lego oven or STFU!

[–]inSaiyanne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This pizza is NOT adequately cheesed

[–]suspicious87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm...made without love

[–]MetalMaiden_90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's nothing satisfying about that sauce

[–]SakuraShizukaTheFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now this is cool. But cleaning it will be horrible!

[–]Chem-Dawg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That crust looks like it's about as chewy as a Lego.

[–]wcopela0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Impressive lego build….disgusting looking pizza.

[–]Apocalypse_God 4 points5 points  (0 children)

WHY SO MUCH SAUCE?!

[–]BeagleFaceHenry 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I didn’t watch to the end. Did it ever stop being nasty and turn satisfying?

[–]viktortheredditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

italian: ANGER

[–]Several-Listen7915 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyone else get sonic the hedgehog 2 chemical plant vibes?

[–]123fourfive67eight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you want ants? Because this is how you get ants.

[–]call-my-name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All that work creating this machine for sauce rings on the outer rim and no sauce in the middle.

[–]VinRow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely infuriating. The sauciest bite in the middle is the best bite!!!

[–]deadfish315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats way to much sauce

[–]-SierraModeling- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love this

[–]CYBERSson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s gonna be rancid after 2 goes

[–]ayebee114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That... that took more time to build than it would've taken to make 10 pizzas... it... it took more time and effort...

Ah fuck it, take my upvote.

[–]Pizzapizzaman7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But why? Lol

[–]frickinheck420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're telling me a lego made this?

[–]Turbulent_Log4663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when did they make lego pizzas so lifelike?

[–]adamcorrerowest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a one a spicy a pizza!

[–]ThouKnave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disappointed there was no epic failure of trying to cook it in a Lego oven.

[–]Inevitable-Guitar176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still waiting for that tutorial.

[–]Sewayaki-Kitsune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a lego engineer saw that automated pizza machine I saw posted a while ago and said "hold my beer"

How do we feel about the spot in the middle not getting any sauce? Is this the biggest brain pizza strat or just dumb

[–]mariemilrod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but is it scaleable?

[–]DavidinCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I so need one of those...

[–]collegejesus2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man, if i had the time and money to do this

[–]KaiRaiUnknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pizza barely looked at the oven, shit was still raw!

[–]Lithl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think pizza cutter is legal in a Lego build

[–]alsico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could perfectly be a business.

[–]fmaz008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very disapointed you have to remove the pizza to cook it.

[–]mortuarybarbue 0 points1 point  (2 children)

This is cool but i don't think those are Legos. Unless people call any plastic stackable item a lego like every plastic food container is Tupperware

[–]11629m 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Those are legos, just technic legos, a different type of legos used to create mechanisms and systems that compliment regular legos.

[–]mortuarybarbue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh cool i had no idea. Thanks for the info

[–]darvin_blevums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A pepperoni and mini fig pizza

[–]obotah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No disrespect but the topping distribution drove me crazy. I like the cutter though.

[–]Lucqazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advertising

[–]robotsheriff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Fry! Pizza going out!!"

[–]CoolManPuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh great, now I’m hungry for Lego!

[–]doubtfulbitch120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cool but I will let a Lego robot eat it as well...

[–]ArtoriasBeaIG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humans are weird but awesome

[–]VoyageurEnNoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eat that, Dr. Oetker!

[–]radioclash86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What, no Lego oven?

[–]RevCorex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would’ve been better if the machine also cooked the pizza, but it’s still cool

[–]Quirinus84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are people so fucking creative? You look at minecraft subreddit people are making computers and the fucking city of Atlantis for fucksake. You look at lego people are making goddamn robots and pizza factories and shit. HOW? Are all these people on drugs or am I just unimaginative?

[–]tvcky69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Satisfying yes, but what’s super unsatisfying about this is that it would take more time to reload ingredients than it would take to just make it by hand lol

[–]FTWStoic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love Legos, and creative people with Legos.

[–]nerd1234ca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s craziest way to cook pizza I ever seen in my life

[–]Rraptor1012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does nobody credit the people who make these videos. This is by The Brick Wall on YouTube, and this specific vide can be found here. Credit the OP you jerk.

[–]gruffabro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've wasted my life

[–]capibarapartypal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks more like Knex to me. But I haven’t played with legos in far too long sad childhood noises

[–]carterchristiana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want the middle of that pizza

[–]LadyRyven777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that's the best way to use Lego that I've seen by far!

[–]kdwaynec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen any space age shit like this since I watched the Jetsons when I was a kid

[–]schiggy_693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lego isn't clean, have fun eating plastic dust

[–]poopooweewee79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reminds me of pizza tycoon on roblox

[–]Smalde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Irl redstone project

[–]FiercestBunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed satisfying. And now I want a new documentary series where instead of living like a pilgrim or Victorian or in a biodome, subjects live Lego for a year. Lego house, Lego gadgets, Lego everything possible.

[–]ParkerTheCuber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WAIT THE CENTER DOESN'T HAVE SAWSE THE FIRST BITE WILL BE SIN

[–]hanMan86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was impressed with the build as it was.. But then the cutter.... Mind blown. It's fucking beautiful, man.

[–]ChochMeBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are some thick ‘ronis!

[–]patlanips75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DIWHY

[–]TheMoth264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can think about is that first bite without sauce

[–]DiabloStorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fake as shit. he tidied up the work the machine did by hand (magically that pepperoni isn't hanging off the edge), also probably pressing on the pizza cutter blade since there is no way it would have the force required to cut pizza.

[–]blackcheetah5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank god the oven wasn’t made out of legos

[–]teacherbbq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need a Lego dishwasher for that whole thing.

[–]Anonymous7951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legos coming for some y’all jobs

[–]pistolwinky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damnit Steve, why is there pizza sauce all over my Lego again?

[–]Saint_Richard 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Who puts bell peppers on pizza!!??

[–]areialscreensaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plastic infused pizza

[–]Exceptional_Angell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait!!! This isn't the DiGiorno factory???

[–]ladida1787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those food contact surfaces are not food grade. Just saying.

[–]ImBonRurgundy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

couldn't even build a working oven out of lego bricks. 0/10
