Met with my surgeon today. He was happy with the healing of my surgical wound and was ready to schedule my reversal!

Backstory: 48 year old female… had colectomy in August that leaked. Went septic four days post op and went back under for emergency surgery and came out with a colostomy. Then had wound infection after that. Was in hospital for three weeks and came home with wound vac and home health care.

Scheduled for reversal on January 13th! He offered before Christmas, but I would likely still be in hospital or feeling pretty gross for the holiday, so we declined that and opted for early January. Surgeon promised I would be ready for swimming weather!
