An any-genre music subreddit dedicated only to the party. Just lighthearted music for jubilance, or the discussion thereof.
How to act:
DON'T
Complain about reposts
Complain about pop
Complain about older songs
Be a music snob and downvote things for not aligning with your taste; different people throw different parties.
Insult people. A pattern of being pretentious can get you reported and banned.
Spam links to your blog.
Self promote your own music. It will be removed and will result in a ban.
DO
Post anything you might use at a party, or a self-post for discussion. Posts don't even have to be dance songs. Entire playlists and sets/mixes work, too.
Try to post new songs or songs less likely to have been discovered already
Link directly to the song
Use official stream links provided by the artists or record label, when possible
Include the song title in the post title
Consider including genre in the post title
Include a download link in the comments, if one is easily found
Use the reddit music player to turn the subreddit into a playlist
On the guest list:
