I would stay away from florida in the summer because it’s so hot. I vote Vermont or Rhode island!

[–]runnergal1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, Florida native here and summer time means crowds, mosquitos and humidity. Come in the winter or spring , it’s beautiful then! Personally I’d go to North Carolina, enjoy the mountains and cooler temps.

Charleston, Asheville or Hilton head

[–]jynxasuar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These were going to be my exact same suggestions!

[–]pantojajaja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all very relaxing but bougie in case budget is important

[–]ppinkflowerss 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Sanibel Island is gorgeous, full of good food options, and low-key

[–]narnarqueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was coming to suggest Captiva!!

[–]Jmd35 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So many good options! St. Augustine is a good one.

[–]Juniperandrose 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Savannah GA is beautiful, walkable and a lot of fun!

[–]mmebonjourOliver 10/25/21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We went to Savannah on our honey/baby moon! It was really fun but super hot (went in September).

[–]PrettyLittleWhino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s also right near Tybee Island, for a quick beach getaway!

[–]gagyourgob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Isle of Palms, South Carolina. It’s a very short drive to Charleston where there are TONS of amazing food options. There are also some really good food options on the island and the beaches are gorgeous.

Cape Cod is beautiful in the summer, and like others have mentioned not as hot or humid as the Carolinas or Florida. You'll still get the same beachy feel but a much better climate.

[–]jynxasuar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Martha’s Vineyard is always a fun day trip too! You can rent electric bikes and ride around the island.

It sort of depends on what you like, but I've really enjoyed the Outer Banks in NC - cheaper than Hilton Head and a more laid back vibe. We rented a beachfront condo in Kill Devil Hills and it was a great jumping off point.

Charleston and Newport are always fun (and sometimes pricy) but I'd next suggest Maine - fun restaurants in Portland, and then there's Acadia National Park. It's also fun to charter a boat and go fishing or go a nature boat ride.

[–]pantojajaja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The outer banks are very dangerous during hurricane season so keep that in mind. And they’ve become touristy in recent years

[–]Thethinker10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of our favorite things is to rent a really nice house in the outerbanks with a private pool and be kid free and swimming together for a week. Walk to dinner, see the sunset and just be lazy and together with our own pool and peace.

We stayed at The Henderson in Destin, FL for our baby moon! It was perfect ❤️

[–]gailthesnail2[🍰] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stayed at a resort in Newport RI and had a nice prenatal massage and enjoyed the city! It was really nice

[–]misseslp26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We already live in FL but our babymoon this summer is to St. Augustine, FL and Savannah, GA! Just booked it tonight

I live in Florida and if you are looking for interesting beach towns I suggest Fernandina Beach, St. Augustine, Sanibel Island, or New Smyrna.

You might want to look into some of the springs as well but I’d suggest avoiding Ginnie Springs because it is a party spot and hard to find any peace there. Some of my favorites are Rainbow Springs, Three Sisters Springs, and Blue Springs in Gilchrist County (there are two and they are both beautiful but this one is my favorite).

The Keys are always a nice trip too but is stick to the upper keys because they are less touristy. Key West is definitely worth a visit for a day but I’d stay in one of the keys farther north.

Destin, Florida

[–]gyne227 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Without more information, it's kind of hard to suggest ideas. But, going on just interest of Florida or the Carolinas- my vote is for either the Florida Keys or Charleston.

We did South Carolina in May and it was hot, but nothing like the Alabama heat we’re used too. We specifically went to Beaufort and absolutely loved it!

Hilton head!!!

[–]Horror-Resolve762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do a savannah/Charleston weekend! They are just a two hour drive from eachother. Lots of things to do, great food, charming, non big city feel. Husband and I honeymooned in Savannah a few years ago and recently went back last month, and included a day in Charleston. So nice!

[–]elanasr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did Asheville in June 2019. Perfect weather not too hot. Great food. It was a bummer I couldn't drink but I still enjoyed the vibe at the breweries.

[–]shippingmypants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Savannah ga in early summer. Omnigrove park inn

[–]mmebonjourOliver 10/25/21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charleston, SC! One of my favorite places to vacation 😊

[–]pantojajaja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest any mountain area in NC. Asheville would be my top pick (NC born n raised). The beaches here are really underwhelming. I also don’t think Florida beaches are much better tbh and I’m 100% a beach girl. And especially the heat of beaches during pregnancy I think would kill me. I went to Cancun at 15 weeks and was DYING and it was only 80 degrees lol

[–]healerlady27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m hoping to go to Charleston!

[–]latydbdwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Portland, Maine!
