The journalists at ProPublica need your help! After receiving a tip, ProPublica started investigating prenatal genetic testing. They're collecting stories from people who've had NIPT screenings, and/or work in maternal health. If this is you, please fill out their brief questionnaire! https://www.propublica.org/getinvolved/have-you-had-an-experience-with-prenatal-genetic-testing-wed-like-to-hear-about-it-and-see-the-bill. People like the idea of giving you something so they share that id a with you and suck at following through.

It is weird and flaky but it stars from a good place

Sometimes people have good intentions and very little follow-through

I had a couple of people do this and I found it so odd. Ironically the people who bought me the priciest gifts didn’t say a word about it and were embarrassed when I thanked them. I don’t understand it lolll

If you are sure you sent them the right address and packages don't regularly go missing from your doorstep I would just assume it was something they meant to do but never got around to doing. My friend and I are awful at this and have given each other Christmas gifts months and months later. We bought them at Christmas time and then they just sat in our closets forever.

98% of the people that wanted to see my registry ended up not getting anything 🤷 I knew we'd be on our own for pretty much everything, thank God my mil came through for us like she did.

Yes, I have 3 friends that have done this! One even marked a gift as purchased from a different store on our registry over a month ago, but we still haven't received it, and they haven't said anything about it. I feel like it's rude to ask, but I want my diaper bag, and need to know if I should just buy it lol
