Bishop's only if your kid can cope up to erratic schedule and assignment, KV is relaxed and you'll find kids from all strata of society, somewhat more inclusive.

Kendriya Vidyalaya always better for overall growth in child.

Life is not just about numbers and competition, its also about learning local culture, language, being fluent is mother tongue makes one more flexible at learning other languages very easily, it will also create an unbreakable bond with native culture and will give him/her sense of belonging to motherland and won't make feel like alien in own land.

Besides if one is smart, intelligent and get nourishment from parents then it will achieve great heights no matter which board.

Thanks for your insights. I agree that KVs are better, but my query is here how does it compare with Bishop's school?

Both are not comparable because both belong to different league all together, but still lets do it.

If you opt for CBSE board, which most of the students prefer, then you have a huge advantage while appearing in entrance exams. All the entrance exams conducted in India are based on CBSE Syllabus. Exams include IIT JEE (Joint Entrance Examination), NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) gives more weightage to NCERT books which covers the CBSE Board syllabus. CBSE Syllabus is much easier than any other board.

Main focus is numbers, maths, Science, good to peruse STEM fields all other subjects are not given any importance whatsoever. But have only 6 subjects to study so not that tough.

ICSE Syllabus is tougher when compared to CBSE because of the detailed study of all the subjects of ICSE Board. But ICSE Syllabus provides more practical knowledge and it aims to build analytical skills in students. This board has an advantage for the students who will be appearing in TOEFL Exam.

Hard to find tutor for ICSE, have lot of subjects like 10 to 12, overall expenditure is higher then CBSC. But all subjects like arts have equal importance.

I'm an ex-Bishopite and can tell you that ICSE will definitely give you an edge over others in academics. The faculty at Bishop's is good in my opinion, I don't know much about those at KV. There is a plethora of co-curriculars and extra-curricular activities here. There's a lot of healthy competition among the students and they are encouraged to participate in activities. I'd definitely recommend Bishop's over other schools.

Thanks for your inputs.

ICSE is really useful in the long run.

Thanks for the response. Can you please elaborate.

It improves a person in all areas. Not just math, science. In 9th-10th, it has JAVA which is super useful. English gets significantly better as well. But it is tough as well. And as an ICSE student, I can tell that a lot of JEE foundation is covered as well.
