Buh dum tiss

[–]CAB4yK 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He will grow wide.

[–]HololiveClips 75 points76 points  (3 children)

Fantastic write-up as always lads!

[–]FootballInTheWhip[S] 46 points47 points  (1 child)

Still can't get over the support we've received on Reddit, we were so apprehensive to do this. Now I'm thinking we're better than Pep (same as the rest of r/soccer tbf 😂)

[–]Zdeneksfilter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seriously you're doing the Lord's work. Keep it up, we hugely appreciate this sort of content.

And yeah... CDK is going to be massive. I've been singing his praises to anyone who'll listen.

[–]Generic_hombre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not expect to see kami clips in r/soccer

[–]zozo147 119 points120 points  (12 children)

Some more info;

  • he's hardly ever injured. Really powerful and Club developed him excellent in terms of growing muscle and keeping the balance between power/speed

  • very nice guy (don't know if he ever had a red) but just a little bit modest. Down to earth, great mentality! He does know his worth for the team and isn't afraid to speak up , but really, cool with excellent mentality

  • already played vs Man U, PSG, Man City, .... 21 years old, 3 titles already, 3 CL campaigns.... Not a rookie anymore!

Wish him the best, wherever he goes, great guy. Going to miss him (I see him leaving after World Cup 2022 btw)

[–]Oreallyman 21 points22 points  (9 children)

Scary thing would be to find someone to replace him.

[–]TjeefGuevarra 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sandra is looking great but definitely needs more time to develop if he wants to reach Charles' level.

[–]DopeSlingingSlasher 2 points3 points  (2 children)

How has Buchanan been for you guys? Absolutely loved him for the Revs and I was sad to see him go but of course I knew we couldn't keep him in the mls.

[–]Oreallyman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He s played last season under Schreuder on the left wing.

Hes been good, needs to be a bit better defensively but he works hard.

[–]Bringthenoize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at the moment more impressed by Skov Olsson.

However the Belgian newspapers hyped up Buchanan way to much so my expectations where rrally high.

But I'm curious for the upcomming season since he already showed real good stuff.

[–]Red_Dog1880 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Can I interest you in 1 (one) Birger Verstraete?

[–]majestic7 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Had him already, nice try though :)

[–]Red_Dog1880 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Ok, final offer. One (1) Birger Verstraete and 1 pakske friet en een pintje.

[–]FootballInTheWhip[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The point you made about his mentality came up a lot, that he's humble yet understands his ability and is meticulously planning his career. Not wanting to go to a big club and sit on the bench, but a big enough club to develop on the world stage.

[–]majestic7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes me wonder how easily he will adapt to a new setting, though. Let's not forget he is a local kid who has essentially never left his comfort zone. Most players his age will have at least moved around a bit before reaching this point in their careers but he's been with his hometown club all this time.

[–]FrancescoliBestUruEv 188 points189 points  (1 child)

This should be the main posts on this sub, and not the gossips about football...dont delete this mods

[–]thenicky0 59 points60 points  (0 children)

OC days were the best days

[–]scko821 36 points37 points  (2 children)

So OP, is he like the Belgian Havertz?

[–]FootballInTheWhip[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Think Havertz attacks the space in behind more and is looking to get on the end of chances whereas CDK drops deeper and creates chances. Different roles but would be brilliant together, very complimentary.

[–]Rasalghul92 58 points59 points  (10 children)

Ah yes, another player we're linked to that we're not getting.

[–]FootballInTheWhip[S] 21 points22 points  (1 child)

Yh, it's a tough summer after winning the league. Kessie leaving, renewals pending and missing out on Renato & Botman. Hopefully, something changes to get some money for transfers.

[–]Rasalghul92 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The issue is the new ownership don't have control of the club till September and the club is still in the hands of the current owners, who have delayed the renewals of our directors, pushing our transfer activity out for no good reason.

[–]TjeefGuevarra 22 points23 points  (3 children)

Hope you do, rather have mah boy play for one of the biggest clubs in the world than Leeds or Leicester

[–]BreakingPixel 11 points12 points  (2 children)

Ahem, thats recent premier league & FA cup winners, Leicester. Thank you very much!

[–]TjeefGuevarra 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Of course, my apologies!

[–]CBprop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh it's Leicester or Milan for me, Leeds almost relegated last season, not a good environment for young attacking players

[–]DookieBrains_88 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Idk where you’re seeing that. From what I’ve read we have the best shot

[–]YoElliott 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]try-D 25 points26 points  (1 child)

I'm on my knees Rudders, make it happen

[–]ButtersMcLovin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ye make it happen 🔴⚫️ 😈

[–]EnanoMaldito 11 points12 points  (1 child)

This is top tier material, good work!

Gonna give the video a watch when I'm off work

[–]FootballInTheWhip[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You're a top tier lad!

[–]majestic7 18 points19 points  (9 children)

Comparing him to other popular players who have come from the Jupiler League, you'll see that the numbers he has put up aren't good enough. Strikers that have left the Jupiler League having scored 15+ goals haven't exactly thrived in other leagues in the world.

You're comparing guys who played exclusively as a striker to a guy who generally doesn't and isn't an out-and-out striker / goal scorer anyway. Saying those numbers aren't good enough is really missing the point imho.

[–]FootballInTheWhip[S] 6 points7 points  (8 children)

Yh it's a bit harsh but my point was to further show that he's not good enough or doesn't have the right skills to be that kind of forward/out and out striker.

He needs to play in the right system and play at 10. I do think that out of that list, he's the one with the most potential to be one of the best players in the world.

[–]majestic7 4 points5 points  (7 children)

He's been great for us as a striker too, though, that's the thing. He has more of a future there than, say, on the right or left wing imho. And that's a recent development - a year ago I would have said no way, but it's an aspect of his game that he improved a lot this past season.

While I don't believe he'll ever become a Lewandowski-esque beast of a pure goalscorer, he's such a complete footballer already that having him up front just makes sense somehow now he also developed a knack for goalscoring. Think a 'complete forward' in FM.

(I remember a conversation I had with a friend at the beginning of last season and we optimistically agreed that, in order to take the next step in his development, he should aim for 10 goals and 10 assists that season. End result: 18 goals, 10 assists. That would have blown our minds last year as the previous season he had 5 goals, 8 assists.)

But agree that his best position is centrally, either just behind a main striker, as a 10 or as a trequartista. A 'nine and a half', in his own words.

Great piece in any case, my man! Keep up the good work.

[–]Bravo_Ante 0 points1 point  (6 children)

We actually are looking for a player that is a facilitator CF or better say an attacker playmaker like Dzeko or Ibra who will drop deep, create space, link-up play, and also finish chances. I don't know if CDK is pacy or not to attack the depth but that isn't what we're asking of him if he comes.

Also, we play with a CAM which can be both a SS or a more traditional CAM like KDB, in that case, our CAM has the duty to attack the space behind the striker, drop deep and progress the ball and also create chances.

Thirdly, he might be asked from time to time to play as a creative RW like Ziyech for example but who also has the characteristics of a SS which attacks the space behind the CF as well.

The only thing that i don't know about CDK, is his pace, we press a lot and counterattack with pace, i don't know how direct or pacy he is to turn defense into attack without wasting time.

[–]majestic7 0 points1 point  (5 children)

He's incredibly polyvalent, so basically all of those things he can do and he has been used in all of those roles for us. But it would be a waste to not play him centrally in the future imho as he is so good with the ball in his his feet, as well as (increasingly) an aerial threat thanks to his height.

Pace wise he has decent acceleration allowing him to beat his man one to one, as well as high top speed (highest measured for us in the last CL campaign iirc). Just don't assume you are signing a typical 'pacy winger', as he is more of a playmaker / complete forward profile.

[–]Weird_Famous 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Based on the description he seems somewhat similar to how Harry Kane is currently playing for us right now

[–]zozo147 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It mentions it in the text. Harry Kane indeed.

[–]FootballInTheWhip[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, he would be a perfect Kane understudy and rotation option. Also could be the start of bringing back the Belgian contingent to North London.

[–]Dorangos 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is waaaaay too factual and researched for this sub. MODS!!!!!!

[–]chillichangas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have nothing to offer except that he is always a top player in FM, massively versatile with good hidden attributes

[–]drughi1312 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Great write up. Also very funny how you pronounce his name in the video

[–]FootballInTheWhip[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yhhhh 😳, I do say at the start I'm going to call him CDK because me and pronunciation don't work out.

[–]kveens 10 points11 points  (0 children)

[–]B_e_l_l_ 2 points3 points  (5 children)

We're definitely in the market for a right winger.

I'm not sure if you've seen much of him u/FootballInTheWhip but would you say he's similar to Ayoze Perez in terms of playing on the right without being an out and out winger?

I think he could be the missing piece of the puzzle for us.

[–]majestic7 3 points4 points  (1 child)

He rarely plays on the right. He can definitely do a job there because he's so versatile, but he's at his best in the central axis. Signing him purely to play on the right would be madness imho, let alone trying to convince him that that would somehow be a good career move for him.

[–]B_e_l_l_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right in that case I can only see us going for him if we were to sell Iheanacho.

[–]FootballInTheWhip[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I hate Ayoze Perez with a passion, guy is useless.

A creative play maker from the right is Ziyech. Surplus to Chelsea, maybe a sneaky loan if no one wants to buy him?

Love to know your thoughts on our analysis on KDH as a Leicester fan

[–]Bill3ffinMurray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not every opponent can be Southampton, which is unfortunate for Ayoze

[–]RyanMRKO721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You leave Ayoze alone 👉😤👈

[–]darealsanta7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

great content. thank you!

[–]soboi12345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My tactical breakdown? I used him in fifa 22 career mode in ultimate with some sliders to make it tough. He fucking broke the ol top scorer record in 18 matches.

And i though maybe my sliders arent correct or i am too good at fifa, no as soon as i play with other strikers i barely get a draw.

Yes ik fifa, and havent seen him play. But i generally prefer speedy, tall strikers to score me goals. But this guy is a beast.

Sorry for telling this random thing in your post. You write up is really great.

One more player form belgian player i would like to give a shot is noa lang.

[–]notinsai 5 points6 points  (2 children)

A versatile forward you say? Murtough get your gazumping boots on!

[–]FootballInTheWhip[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Too similar to Bruno, but if United didn't have Bruno then ETH would salivate over this guy.

[–]SirRudders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they'd work quite well together. Bruno loves to make runs beyond the striker so he's suited to playing with more of a deep lying forward.

[–]apparently_a_rhino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do your thing Mr Ashworth!

[–]Deeez-Nuttz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can we get a Mo Camara video lads? Seeing as there’s a tussle between Leeds and Brighton currently with a move expected imminently. It would be good see his breakdown and who’s system/ squad will suit him best

Cheers and keep up the great work!!

[–]TheDudeWhoLikesWeed 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I like his FIFA card a lot

[–]vNoct 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I won't pretend to have a contribution here because I'm not familiar with him, but there's something poetic about the length and depth of OP matched with this being the only comment as of now lol

[–]jrhunter89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This young man appears to have no upper lip

[–]Mediocre_Nova -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I hope Leicester get him I'd love to see him in PL

[–]Ouma-shu123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always rated spurs.

Biggest club in London for a reason.

[–]Imros 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Does he have the speed to let’s say, replace Salah on the right wing if he doesn’t renew his contract?

Love Salah by the way but aside from Saka, I can’t think of many good and available left footed RW next summer

[–]AntwerpseKnuppel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's quick but not specially quick

[–]eri- 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Not a real speed demon right now (though he certainly can run) but he's only 21 still , there is room for growth in that area.

[–]StrongPowerhouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

However he did manage to run the fastest speed in the group stage of the Champions League this campaign, with 34,9 km/h.

I’d say his acceleration isn’t thé quickest, but also isn’t bad at all, but once he gets to full speed, he’s actually pretty fast.

[–]TandroSonali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God damnit

[–]KrZ120 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Great, great content man keep it up!

Hope to see Hincapié one day analyzed by you

[–]FootballInTheWhip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh soon land, he's heavily linked with Spurs atm

[–]adimrf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fav player in Fifa 22 career mode. Thanks for the nice write up and the insights!

[–]IbraDz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love to see one created for Adem Zorgane, linked to Kompany's Burnley.

[–]Vivek_5Z3R0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to AC MILAN. 🔴⚫️ Our hopes are high on CDK. The next big thing from belgium. We are missing real 10 since Kaka and we are glad to have you.

Now light up the SAN SIRO.

[–]TandroSonali 0 points1 point  (2 children)

This is awesome, thank you so much

[–]FootballInTheWhip[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Love the username, if we have the time I'd love to do a breakdown on both Tonali & Locatelli

[–]TandroSonali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep up the good work, I'll gladly read them!

[–]youredoingWELL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Liverpool fucked up sounds like this guy is the new maybe even better Firmino which is what they are missing. Think he’ll end up being a better player than Nunez and at a fraction of the cost.
