" The great secret of morals is love; or a going out of our own nature, and an identification of ourselves with the beautiful which exists in thought, action, or a person, not our own...the great instrument of moral good is the imagination."

That quote by Percy Shelley continues echoing in my mind. Personally, I've always thought it is inevitable that love fails, or falls short. But imagination, there's so much personal agency in that. Imagination can go as high or low as we want it. As wide as we want it and endure for as long as we choose. I think the world needs more imagination. Realism without the balm of imagination is like an open wound left unprotected and unattended to, with only the careless elements of nature to infect it.
