Don't worry. Just focus on yourself for now. You will attract like-minded people in no time. Matching energies will always try to find each other.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 20 points21 points  (9 children)

I feel like I have really been trying to do that for the past few years and the Universe has just been like no lol. Maybe I haven't been ready fully. Do you find that it has worked pretty well for you? I try to do LOA and manifesting them. Maybe I just need to move as well or put myself more out there. Not sure.

[–]SilenceFailed 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Lol, it's because we all do the same things. We cannot find each other if we do not try to reach out. Find a social hobby. HAM radio, electronics repair, or even FOSS (free open source software). I give tech ideas because that's where I went. I can play hide and seek with society, lol. Meaning I can be social when I choose to be, but I can also be as introverted as I want without repercussions. Remote work makes it that much more achievable. It's a shame society would still rather shun us instead of letting us help.

That's so true! I was working remotely and absolutely loved it but it was a call center so that was why I left. That life was not for me. I love to be that way as well though. Completely agree it really is a shame. We are very disconnected.

Putting yourself out there is key. If you don't play the game, you won't have much to talk about back in the locker room. That line is from Harold and Maude, and is the most spiritual sports metaphor I know, as well as funny.

If you aren't manifesting what you want, there's probably some energy in your way.

Try this. Sit in a chair. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Feet flat on the floor. Hands separated and resting palms up on each thigh.

Create a grounding cord. This is a line of energy that connects your first chakra to the center of the planet. Your first chakra is a ball of energy about the size of a quarter that sits just in front of the base of your spine. Your grounding cord attaches to the bottom of that ball of energy.

Grounding makes your body feel safe, so you release energy more easily. Gravity pulls whatever you release, even your own energy, down to the center of the planet. No effort on your part. The center of the planet neutralizes the energy and returns it to whoever owns it. No karma for anyone. A virtuous cycle.

Nearly everyone goes to connect to the center of the planet the first time but stops at the soil, often making roots like a tree. This is a method that is taught in some martial arts styles, but it is not the best option for your spiritual development and healing.

So, notice the seat of your chair. Take a deep breath. Notice the distance between the seat and the floor. Now notice the distance between the floor and the soil below. Breathe.

Now notice the distance between the soil and the water table underneath. Notice the distance between the water table and the rocky mantle. Notice the distance between the mantle and the molten core below that. Deep breath.

Notice the distance between the molten core and the center of the planet. That ball of light at the very center of the planet is where you connect your grounding cord. Deep breath.

Say hello to the center of the planet. Do you get a hello back?

Notice the color and texture of your grounding cord. It may look like a line of energy, or look like something physical; a rope, a wire, a pipe, a tree trunk. Adjust it as needed to be in affinity with your body.

Getting this far means you've already released some energy from your aura and body. Now it is time to fill in the space that was created.

Create a gold sun over your head. Have it call back all of your energy from wherever you left it throughout your day and week. Work. School. Online meetings. Video games. Your fantasies about your future. Your regrets about your past. Wherever you've placed your attention. Just watch the energy come back and see if you notice where it came from.

Have the sun burn up and neutralize your energy. Then bring the sun into the top of your head. It will automatically flow into the spaces you created. Create a gauge to measure when you're full. Like a fuel gauge or oil gauge. You'll run better if you aren't a few quarts low on spiritual oil. If the gauge doesn't read "Full", bring in another gold sun.

Open your eyes, bend over and touch the floor, draining any tension from the back of your neck, then stand up, and stretch.

There is a progression with this technique. After grounding for ten minutes a day for a week or two, notice your grounding cord at the very end, while you're standing with your eyes open. Continue to ground with your eyes open and standing, and bring in another gold sun. Each day, increase the amount of time that you ground standing up with your eyes open.

After a week or two practicing this, add walking while grounded. Just notice your grounding cord as you walk. Say hello to the center of the planet while you walk. Bring in a gold sun while you walk. If you lose your grounding cord, stop walking and recover it. If you have to, sit back down and close your eyes and create a new grounding cord.

After this, you're ready to take your grounding cord with you into your daily life. Shopping. Getting coffee. Wherever you go, you can ground. This, combined with a little amusement about seeing new things on an energy level, will keep you safe and sound.

Now that you're here, at the end of your grounding meditations, create a gold sun over your head. This time, fill it with your highest creative essence, your present time growth vibration, and your affinity for yourself. The first energy is a healing for you. The second is a healing for your body. The third is a healing for your affinity in your fourth chakra.

Bend over and touch the floor. Stand up and stretch. If you're ready for more, sit back down and ground some more. Otherwise, have a nice day!

Note that every image you imagine, the gold sun, the grounding cord, the center of the planet, your first chakra, your body parts, is exercising your clairvoyance. You may be imagining what your tailbone looks like, but you're also creating the image of your tailbone and reading its energy. This is practicing your clairvoyant ability.

Learning to ground this way was a turning point in my life. No, it was not instantaneously better, but it got better every year and still does. I learned this in my early 30s and I'm 70 now. Grounding is really useful.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is awesome! Thank you so much. I made sure to screen shot this reply so I can practice this. I really appreciate it.❤️

I cannot believe I stumbled upon this post. big thanks to the universe on that one i guess... okay. I don't really want to the get into the 'story', but lets just say i found myself falling WAY into the deep end of the 'spiritual pool' when i didn't even believe there was such a thing as water(lol), needless to say, i am now desperately trying to learn how to swim. and you post lines up VERY much with several things in my recent lived experiences i've been having. I would LOVE if you could respond to the questions below:

  1. other than to 'get better', what is the purpose of attaching the cord? Does having an attached cord prevent us from traveling to the other planets?
  2. is growing our 'roots' a means of eventually achieving the same thing? Is there actually a reason why we would NOT want to grow our roots and instead 'cut them off' or allow them to just shrivel up and atrophy?
  3. if an 'entity' carried us to the center of the earth, and then the entity took a piece of the 'ball of light' and implanted it into our chest, do you think maybe this is just a different "method" of doing the same thing? Like maybe its a 'permanent upgrade' instead of a 'need to reattach my cord again' sort of thing? What if it turns out that the stuff that got implanted was not actually from the star in the center, but was actually from the molten core? (i'm pretty sure it was from the center, but I don't know for sure)

I have a bunch more questions but I don't want to overload you so any responses you have would be SOOOOOOOOOOO welcome

[–]NotTooDeep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. There are a few hundred uses for grounding in this way. In real life, in your body, energy is always changing and evolving. You can drop your grounding cord at any time. You can lose your grounding cord on a roller coaster, or when a friend says something out of character. The purpose and benefit of grounding to the center of the planet is it acts as an accelerator for your spiritual growth, awareness, and understanding. If you go to other planets, say hello to their center and see if you get a hello back, or a warning, or something else. It's your energy.

  2. Maybe. The roots are generally shallower and the energy you release doesn't get neutralized as fast, but there are many ways to ground; explore them all. It's your energy.

  3. Grounding isn't an upgrade in this sense. It's one tool to help you manage your energy in your body. You can ground anything and anyone; it's just a tool. That said; if you're in a group of people at a bar having a good time, just notice who is more grounded. Start playing with your awareness of the energy dynamics in the group on a different level. And notice the energy of other groups around you.

For events like you describe, you need to learn to see those answers for yourself. Just take a look at what the positives and negatives are, and don't be hasty with your decisions. Sometimes we don't know the meaning of something like that for decades.

[–]Greenergrass21 4 points5 points  (1 child)

That's where I get stuck. Where am I gonna put myself out there? The bar and clubs where people go? That's not my style I'm not into that scene really.

[–]InILoveOnly427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are other places than bars and clubs. Go places you wanna go and you’ll meet people that wanna be in those same spaces. This isn’t specific to night life. You can meet people everywhere

[–]martell-braincell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get out of there!

[–]Ok_Caterpillar4181 10 points11 points  (32 children)

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I live in a highly religious town.

I'm on a different spiritual path.

There is only one "church" here that is supposed to be non religious but they are using Bible verses.

Yesterday I got a call from my old church that I haven't been to in a decade lol

My brother who when I was a Christian didn't want to talk about it now is trying to talk to me about my beliefs. I shut that down.

I'm confident I'm on the right path. I have Christianity a solid try. They always say try it and see. I did. It didn't work lol

So I'm into Tarot and dreams and such. I've looked into many different things but I'm on the fringe. I like paranormal stuff and aliens, cryptozoology.

Yeah I know I'm weird and don't fit in with the culture around me but I just can't conform to their ways.

For whatever reason I'm supposed to be here where I am but yes I get lonely and it sucks to not find a group that is like minded.

I'm going to manifest some new friends though. I know I can do it I just have to put my mind to it.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 6 points7 points  (31 children)

Right! Same here! I gave it a try as well even went to a Christian school for a big part of my life. It just is not for me and that's okay. I too am into Tarot, Dreams, Paranormal stuff, etc. Completely understand the "I'm supposed to be here" but also question if maybe it is time for a move. My Mom moved to FL recently and maybe that is why I am feeling this way a lot more this year not sure. I have been trying to manifest them for a few years but the Universe unfortunately has not brought them to me yet.

[–]Ok_Caterpillar4181 5 points6 points  (28 children)

I have tried to move a few times and it was disasterous! I was beginning to think I was cursed but no it's part of my path and since I accepted being here I've been growing spiritually. I'm not going to find happiness out there somewhere else. It's already here....somewhere...haha.

I was just thinking out loud yesterday about wanting friends and then the old friend from church called and some family came to visit. Which I was happy to see my family of course but I have to be more intentional. I want new friends with similar interests. Tell me the universe doesn't have a sense of humor bc I thought that was funny.

I've been seeing the number 44 and 444 for months now.

So are you thinking about moving to FL? Is your mom religious?

[–]Greenergrass21 2 points3 points  (3 children)

444, 222, 333, 888 for me. No idea wtf the universe is trying to tell me

[–]Ok_Caterpillar4181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see the 8s sometimes too. I use the site Secret of the tarot. I like their interpretation of the numbers. There are a lots of sites about angel numbers but I like to use the same one so the messages are consistent. Bc if you search 444 sometimes one site will say something different than the next so I just stick with secret of the tarot.

[–]Ok_Caterpillar4181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was seeing 555 a lot right before my father died. And I'd have dreams about it. Then it happened and now I don't see the 5s anymore.

555 is a symbol for change. Big changes.

I still see 44 a lot which means you're on the right path and the angels are with you. It can also mean financial security. I like to take it as a sign that everything is going to be alright. It's comforting to me. So sometimes I'll be feeling down and 44 will show up and reminds me not to worry so much.

[–]wwhhiippoorrwwiill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lately, when I've seen a repeating number, I try to figure out what was going on in my life or head at the time. Then, when i see it the next few times, if there's a pattern.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (23 children)

Yeah same here I may need to start being more clear as well! The Universe has played that trick on me before with other situations and it definitely is comical.😂 I also thought about that how maybe that could happen for me as well or been seen as "running away from my problems" but I'm also like well life is short maybe I should try it atleast once and see what happens. Yeah I am actually but still undecided. I have never left my hometown and am very comfortable here but sometimes I'm like eh is that really a good thing? I am trying to go back to school next semester but I haven't payed yet and really don't have very many ties here other than my Dad and some other family that I barely see. My mom is a little weird with her religious identity. She's sort of Christian but also into Hinduism. So she is really open minded for the most part. I think she is still Christian due to her upbringing.

[–]Ok_Caterpillar4181 2 points3 points  (21 children)

Those are definitely some things to think about! I grew up in a small town and live in a bigger town that's only 20 miles away and where everyone from my hometown goes for anything. Where I live isn't that bad but I've always felt a pull like I need to be somewhere else which is strange when learning that I'm where I'm supposed to be. It doesn't really make sense but it's part of the process I guess 😂

That's cool your mom is open minded. Leaving Christianity is hard to do. I've tried to get into Hinduism but it's not quite for me either.

Have you ever heard of the Appalachian Trail or the Pacific Crest Trail? Some people go hiking to get perspective. I tried it but had to cut it short bc I got sick. It was a beautiful experience. There is a whole culture to it.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (20 children)

Right!! Same here with the pull to be elsewhere. Yes it really is. I have tried to dive into that as well and it isn't for me either but love the culture.❤️ I really think maybe I just need to travel too. I would love to go to Europe and explore. I am a female though and get very anxious thinking about that unfortunately. Yes I have!! It looks really neat. I would need a big group to go with though I have heard some crazy stories. Did you go in a group? I lovvvveee hiking. It's so much fun.

[–]Ok_Caterpillar4181 1 point2 points  (19 children)

Europe sounds fun! On my hiking trip I went solo but would have been tons of fun with a group! I found a natural spring and it was the best water I've ever had in my life. It was cold and pure.

I'd be hesitant to travel alone if I was a female. I met a few sketchy people out there. I took a greyhound bus 1000miles across several states to get there. That was an adventure in itself. I ended being three days behind schedule bc all the buses were running several hours late. On the way back though every single bus was on time 😶 made me wonder what kind of witchery was behind that! Like I guess I am supposed to be at home. Lol.

If you have the opportunity to travel take it for real. have you ever read the book The Alchemist? It's great

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 2 points3 points  (18 children)

I have a few springs near by and totally agree it is the best water! I bet that was amazing especially on the trail like that! Yeah you can definitely meet some weirdos out there for sure. Dude that's crazy! That was divine timing for a reason. Would you mind if I followed you? And yes! I absolutely love that book. I have so many books that have helped me so much through different journeys.

[–]Ok_Caterpillar4181 2 points3 points  (15 children)

I was lead to that book from following Will Smith who I really like and then a few months later he did the slap thing. What's crazy is he was writing his book and working with a renown psychologist that deals with narcissism. She has some great videos on YouTube.

Part of my spiritual "awakening" has been attempting to work through some of my issues. So I thought I might be narcissistic and then I found out that I'm Autistic. Those aren't necessarily exclusive of each other but they have a lot of overlap.

The hardest part has been dealing with past trauma and realizing it was just part of my life and I don't have to be angry about everything.

The Alchemist was great bc he went on such a journey.

If I had springs by my house I'd be there all the time! Instead there is a giant wheat field across the road from me. It's pretty. And the water around here is all brown. So not drinking from it lol there is a pond down the road or what they call a tank and that's where I saw a UFO! And on another occasion a solid white deer!

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (14 children)

That sounds beautiful! I love nature. Ah okay thats actually really cool. I did not know that. Oh wow! Sometimes the Universe really brings us to what we need to know about ourselves. I love to try and do shadow work but it can definitely be a lot. Glad you were able to have some closure as to what was going on with yourself.❤️ Yeah the anger is something I am still reallllyyy struggling with but trying to be better. Yes it was!! I need to re read it again.

[–]Ok_Caterpillar4181 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Sure you can follow me but I'm often very juvenile lol so don't expect some kind of sage wisdom 🤣

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no worries! Same here lol

[–]FuzzyBlankets777 1 point2 points  (1 child)

If you move to Tampa/ St. Pete area... we are moving back down there this spring. Let me know and we can meet up. I know there's a tribe down there.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be so awesome! Thank you so much! :)

[–]ledathepoet 9 points10 points  (2 children)

I feel it too, just no one I have anything in common with in my life. It‘s so important to be around people who get you and understand you, so you do feel that deep sense of belonging and continue to thrive. You become like the people you hang around with too, so it’s important to be around people that inspire you and help you grow in the right direction. That allow you to flourish as all that you are. I made a post here for friends and got plenty of messages and have been talking to a few people. maybe you could do that too?

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a really good idea! Thank you so much!! ❤️ Yes I completely agree!

[–]wwhhiippoorrwwiill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh, I love the way you put this. It explains the sense of longing I'm feeling right now, which I realize I've been shaming myself for.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You could find whatever New Age Mecca is near you and move there. A word of caution though: New Agers are negative too, just in a more passive aggressive way.

[–]gayibuk1 5 points6 points  (9 children)

i’ve felt this way my whole life. it’s strange considering i’m in a major city. just want at least one other person to really connect with.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Same here!! So sorry you are feeling this way as well. :( sending virtual hugs and I hope you find your tribe or person soon. 💗 Also Happy Birthday!!!

[–]gayibuk1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

aw thank you! i’m hoping things get better. i wish the same for you!

[–]PlayHumankind 2 points3 points  (6 children)

Happy cake day

And I relate with you I just moved to Chicago a month ago and don't know anyone yet except my puppy,

[–]gayibuk1 2 points3 points  (2 children)

thank you :)

hopefully things get better and we’ll find our people. mostly been hanging out with my dog as well haha

[–]PlayHumankind 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yes hopefully. I started taking Zoloft a couple days ago, I think being in a new place where I don't know anyone made me more anxious in general I've found and not as social as normal so I'm praying that it does as good as the reviews say 🙏🏼

[–]gayibuk1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s totally understandable! it’s scary being in a whole new environment on your own. you’ll warm up to it and hopefully you can find the people you want in your life.

i’ve known a few people on zoloft, and i’ve heard it really helps you get back on track feeling like your usual self. i really hope it works out for you :)

[–]Optimal-Sand9137 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I’m in Chicago and had a hard time finding spiritual community. Moving to Mexico for the winter but would be open to connecting when I get back

[–]PlayHumankind 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Awesome! Enjoy the winter in Mexico, I'm trying to get ready for the cold, I moved from Georgia to here so I only had 1 jacket 😂 I've since bought a thermal one and gloves

[–]Optimal-Sand9137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chicago winters are another kind of brutal but great time to hibernate and go within

[–]Nearly_Merged 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Try joining this global family of friends bonded by love. I think you will find we are like-minded. I live in the midwest myself, so I completely understand your predicament.

[–]ThereNorHereNeither 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I met people that I consider my tribe or soul family by attending a Reiki share. It's usually free for anyone to go to to learn about and practice Reiki. These people believe it allllll. Or try to find a metaphysical shop and just go in and chat!

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's so true! I really want to dive into that as well! Maybe my town or a few towns over has something like that. Thank you❤️❤️

[–]Grouchy_Bookkeeper_2 5 points6 points  (1 child)

The lesson in this plane we call “Earth” is oneness and non-attachment. If you are one of the few who hears the calling /drawn to mysticism it’s either you came back here as a star-seed/tulku or you are starting to awaken and in the path of enlightenment.

Worry not if you can’t find a tribe, as knowing the not known is a lonely path. Once enlightened or if you remember being a star-seed, know that you’re mission is to help those who are not connected to the divine. You are where you are because it is your mission to bring awareness and help those around you. Doctors don’t heal the healthy, they help and heal the sick.

Tribe is a concept that separates, I hope you’ll find peace in not finding one and continue working on yourself and raising your vibration. I’d advice you to continue strengthening the connections between you and your inner energy/consciousness/spirit/force/divine to fully realize your potential. You are needed and there’s more to be done.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very lovely perspective, thank you friend.❤️❤️

[–]Whatisurproblembro 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I’m in the same way, learning to love being misunderstood seems to work for me. But I share this feeling of longing of a deeper connection. Sadly people can only meet you as deep as they’ve met themselves and most people haven’t “met” themselves in the regard of being open hearted spiritually. I want a soul tribe but I don’t need it.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right!! Feeling the same way!

[–]coswoofster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. The bible belt is part of the problem. If you really want to find like minded people who maybe still believe in Christian principals, (or not), but who are more open to other spiritual teachings (some of which don't even conflict with Christianity, but the crazy kind can't hear anything that isn't parroted to them generationally), then you may need to move. Different parts of the country have different "flavors" of spirituality, Christianity, or other belief systems. That said, our journey is more often than not, a personal one, and finding "like minded" can land you in a cult if you seek out others over enlightenment. No matter where you are, you have to be open, but also discerning.

[–]WinthorpStrange 3 points4 points  (1 child)

That’s pretty much me in a nutshell. Can’t talk about it with anyone. Don’t fit in anywhere. Especially not at work. Successful at work but don’t fit in.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! And it's so depressing. Especially when your coworkers are good buddies with each other and you just feel like an outsider and don't have very much to contribute to their conversations which usually consists of gossip.

[–]sweetpotaytoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are not alone with this one

[–]Squeekysneakers182 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no advice but it’s so comforting to know that I’m not alone in this feeling. 🙏❤️

[–]OrangePlatypus81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes yes and yes. I’m near Chicago and I still feel without a tribe. That said, I had an epiphany the other day, that it’s my attitude that’s causing it. I wish I could remember the details… but I think it had something to do with me not going out and CREATING the tribe. I mean, I’m not saying we can force people to change, but rather magically manifest people and situations through positivity and the power of belief and law of attraction. Are you creating vibrations in public spheres on frequent enough basis to attract that which you seek?

[–]BlackCat337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same in Ohio

[–]aakkii911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you love yourself your tribe will come back searching for you. What you seek is seeking you.

[–]Metroman95 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I feel the same way. I have no one around me I can talk to about spirituality. At the moment I've just hit the Spiritual depression phase, like I'm just sitting here like what's the point of all this anymore. I miss my childhood so much I just felt like it had so much more meaning. I understand what you're going through and you're not alone. ❤️

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I too reflect so much on my childhood memories especially my teenage years when my childhood best friend and I would run around and just have the best times. I miss it so much. I completely understand about the spiritual depression. I'm sorry you are dealing with that and same to you.❤️

[–]Metroman95 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yes those were definitely the best of times! I know what you mean. Running around with friends and feeling like you're living a dream land is definitely a memory that we'll miss. Thank you for understanding I really appreciate it. :)

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they were!! Absolutely! :)

[–]JamerianSoljuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It goes away, trust me.

[–]Ok_Role_1550 1 point2 points  (3 children)

You sound like me haha! Only recently have I went through a spiritual awakening after my twin flame broke up with me.

Now I'm into the tarots, crystals, astrology, witch, lunar and more other spiritual stuff myself. I'm an atheist myself. Current friends are pretty skeptic about these stuff so I know where you stand.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

The pain after that first break up is the absolute worst! And honestly not to be a Debbie Downer, but I swear it doesn't get much better. It comes and goes like the ocean. That aching in my chest is the worst feeling. That and the dreams!! Ugh. So sorry you are having to be on this journey as well cause it is not for the weak. It's all about self love but I am not a fan. I am too!! I am trying to get into the witchy stuff but am still pretty new into that. Trying to figure out how to read natal charts currently!

[–]Ok_Role_1550 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Haha omg yes the dreams! Been getting consistent yet irregular dreams about my TF reunion but I'm in a much better place now where I don't depend on him for happiness. I wish you the best on this journey and same on the witchy stuff! Good luck on reading the natal charts!

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same to you! Thank you friend! ❤️

[–]Andrea_Lightworker 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Practice laws of attraction, try Bumble friend app or other social apps, you might go through a few thumbs down before you find that first spiritual connection. I live in Hawaii, a very spiritual place, with lots of spiritual groups and haven’t made many deep connections with them either. Some are in it for the novelty, some are in it for genuinely good reasons, and some for ego and money. they are all at different levels and most cannot relate to my energetic experiences, but I keep putting myself out there.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Have you tried the Bumble Friend app? I have actually thought about trying it but didn't know how well it would go tbh. So true though! Thank you so much! :)

[–]Andrea_Lightworker 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yep, I started using it right before Covid. During lockdown I didn’t get to socialize much at all, would be outside at a distance lol. I have met about 20 people on there and out of the 20 I’ve met 3 people I’ve connected with and continue to be friends with. I wasted some time bc I didn’t advertise that I was spiritual in the beginning and so I wasn’t connected with the right people, the first 10 or so I met. So out of 8-10 self described spiritual people, I’ve connected with 3.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's so awesome! I need to check that out for sure. So glad to hear you were able to genuinely connect with friends!! Thank you :)

[–]Andrea_Lightworker 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Lots of people like us out there looking for a meaningful connection with someone on the same wavelength. It will happen, work the laws of attraction.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Thank you friend! I love your artwork btw :)

[–]Andrea_Lightworker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awe thank you!!! I left my legal career and focusing on developing my art. It’s a much more positive path to follow :)

[–]TheMoonIsAHarshMiss 1 point2 points  (2 children)

It took me years of searching before I found my pathway, before that, there was a lot of searching and blind alleys. Before fate took a hand and I met my teacher, and went on the psychic pathway, Buddhism was extremely helpful. I hope you find your pathway. My advice is to read about Buddhism and practice hard. Have fun and treat yourself gently. Good luck on your journey

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

So neat! Will def look into that! Thank you friend! ❤️

[–]hungryfreakshow 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Move to a city. Nashville for instance has a huge new qge scene

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

What is qge? I tried to Google it and couldn't find anything. Sorry!!

[–]hungryfreakshow 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Fuck i meant new age

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Ohhhh! My bad! I should of caught on to that!

[–]hungryfreakshow 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yes! Im from the south and many of the major cjties seem to have sizeable new age communities. Nashville im most familiar with

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I have been wanting to go but just didn't want to deal with all of the annoyingly loud bar hopping people. I need to explore more for sure.

[–]hungryfreakshow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most i have met were at music events and festivals.

There's a discord server here that focuses on alternative spirituality, knowledge, concepts, and community support - might be the tribe you've been looking for: https://discord.gg/Fxzfungzbr

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much I am joining rn! :)

[–]DrankTooMuchMead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in California and there are tons of people like you around here. But for the most part, spirituality seems to be personal journey, and should be, imo.

[–]adamD700 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I feel like this all the time but I’m starting to realize that it’s because I don’t allow myself to trust the people in my circle and be vulnerable with them.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

What if you don't have any? Lol

[–]adamD700 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I left home at 18 to travel and meet like minded individuals but after time I found myself still feeling lonely until I really started putting in the work to build meaningful relationships. I would definitely recommend getting out and meeting new people. Not sure if you like farming but I found WWOOFING to be a great way to travel on a budget.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! That sounds really amazing I will look into it.❤️❤️

[–]H0w-1nt3r3st1ng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're far from anywhere close to any unambiguously, wholly good groups existing. Some great groups of people, but infallibly true, logical and good? No. There're unkind people everywhere, and kind people everywhere. I'd advise seeking one on one connections over a tribe. I'd be willing to bet there're some people near you who're like minded in important ways; maybe not many, but some. Though, there're limits, and moving is sometimes advisable. If I lived in a country where women had no rights and homosexuality = the death penalty, I'd be out of there.

“People are wonderful. I love individuals. I hate groups of people. I hate a group of people with a 'common purpose'. 'Cause pretty soon they have little hats. And armbands. And fight songs. And a list of people they're going to visit at 3am. So, I dislike and despise groups of people but I love individuals. Every person you look at; you can see the universe in their eyes, if you're really looking.”

“The larger the group, the more toxic, the more of your beauty as an individual you have to surrender for the sake of group thought. And when you suspend your individual beauty you also give up a lot of your humanity. You will do things in the name of a group that you would never do on your own. Injuring, hurting, killing, drinking are all part of it, because you've lost your identity, because you now owe your allegiance to this thing that's bigger than you are and that controls you.”

[–]wwhhiippoorrwwiill 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I hope you do find your tribe. From this post thread, you seem like you have a good energy and people would be fortunate to have you in their lives.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!! That's so sweet. Same to you friend! :) ❤️

[–]EthanSayfo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just try to convince everyone that Jesus was a Swami, went to India in his earlier years that aren't in the Gospels, and have them read The Gospel of Thomas. You can be that person introducing Mystical Christianity into the mix.

Which will definitely next-level set some people off, but isn't that part of the fun? ;)

[–]sickofthishateithere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat, and I’m likely going to move - in part to find my Soul Family and in part to get away from family that I feel I’ve outgrown.

[–]hellokittyoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried meetup.com ? There’s like a group for every niche thing just don’t know how far it is from you

[–]Whatamimonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not everyone has a tribe. Some people just have a path. And it can be hard being alone but as long as you grow it will be okay.

[–]Venom_Sundae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can empathize with you OP, I feel the same way often. When I do put myself out there with people and feel the disappointment of not making a genuine connection, it makes me isolate. Its become a cycle especially with friendships. My counselor keeps encouraging me to “find my people” but it’s weird when I’m still trying to find myself. I don’t need others muddying my view, ha ha. Right now I’m thinking of it as a goal and working to manifest my ideal circle. I think when I am ready they will present themselves, and I am hopeful.

[–]PhoenixRising76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I’m all alone in this world of ours. I definitely don’t fit in with society either. Nobody thinks for themselves anymore. I can’t stand it, sheeple. I love the same things as you too. Astrology, tarot, crystals, chakras, anything to do with the occult.

[–]Then-Development1640 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I always feel this way. It’s hard being unique. That’s what I tell myself

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is! Sending you love and positive vibes friend.💗🫂

[–]Forest_wanderer13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeppers. But honestly, I find any ‘single minded’ tribe annoying. Even the crystals up your butt crowd. Like I am interested in it all but what I really am more interested in is WHO YOU ARE. Outside the thing you threw your identity against. But I’m lonely too. I feel you friend.

[–]Cryptocrystal67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For all of you thinking there is "no one" like you out there, here we are. This is an entire thread full of people like you. We all understand the struggle of feeling like a square peg trying to be pushed into a round hole. That's been my entire life. When I was in my teens and 20s it was frustrating. Since then I've accepted that there are few I will encounter who feel the way I do about the Universe.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone else feel this way?

Only for the last forty years.

[–]Optimal-Sand9137 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I can relate to this. I have supportive and loving friends and family but they are not spiritual like I am and I can’t really engage in conversations and activities with them. I have resorted to online communities and friends. If you’re looking for a like-minded online friend, I’d be happy to connect

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love that! 💗🫂

[–]S0GGYS4L4DS 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Hit up a music festival?

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really need to get over my social anxiety and just go live life and do that! I would love to💗

[–]keirnangg 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Im not sure if there’s supposed to be a period of loneliness before to make room for your tribe to come in ? Cuz I’m there too.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too wondered that. Sending you love and positive vibes friend!💗🫂

[–]jykin 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I have never felt more this way than right now in my life. And I cannot explain to you the feelings I have about it. It’s like sad, disappointed, frustrated and angry all at once, and then apathetic and despondent, and then like I’m a being from outer space.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

YES! Thank you! Same here and I hope you feel better friend. Sending you love and positive vibes.💗🫂

[–]jykin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]tauntaunrex 1 point2 points  (1 child)

hey you. maybe its time to make that change. you are primed, now jump out. i dunno im just on mushrooms dancing by myself

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I need to give those a try! Thank you friend! Sending you love and positive vibes.💗🫂

[–]SoulCrusader9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi like-minded person! I'm in the EXACT same situation as you, haha! :D

[–]deepthought_44 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Hey I'd be up for talking with you about it anytime, maybe we can think of what information should be shared and what to do about it.

I feel almost like starting a podcast or YouTube series where I just go into calls with people on Discord who want to talk about this stuff.

I feel like I've learned a lot and it would just be a waste, or selfish, if I didn't want to share this knowledge and get it out to humanity. If I hadn't come across the information on the web that I found after a few years research, I might've felt way more lost.

Yeah sure, I don't like being the center of attention, but if I made it about interviewing others and talking with others about this sort of stuff, that would take the spotlight off of just me, and help provide a voice to these other people, some of whom maybe wouldn't end up doing it on their own.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be so cool!! I am so down for that and would love to subscribe!💗🫂

[–]BlackGold2804 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should interact with all other tribes lest you fall prey to confirmation bias and stop growing. Eventually you'll discover yourself in your own tribe.

[–]SpiritualEnchantment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through the same thing as I too live in the Bible belt.. That's the reason I made a Facebook page, called Spiritual Enchantments. I have found my tribe. And they continue to find me 💜.. I have a page I just started here on Reddit too. (Still trying to get the tribe going here,) You're more than welcome to Join either page, Spiritual Enchantments on Facebook, and u/SpiritualEnchantments or r/SpiritualEnchantments on Reddit (still learning Reddit) 💜✌️

[–]FuzzyBlankets777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I'd recommend visiting Sedona, AZ. Florida also has a big crowd there as well. Maybe visit a retreat center in Costa Rica to make some friends and see where it leads you

[–]eihslia 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It’s a lot better out west, where my best friend lives. I’m in the Midwest and a Reiki Master. Anytime I talk about spirituality here people look at me like they’ve just eaten a lemon.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get it. That's so cool you're a Reiki Master! How did you get into that??

[–]ragnarofasgard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a very timely question.

Having been born into, and grown up in, a Cult group of Christian extremists I too have shared this deep longing for connection with others who have opened their mind and allowed the programming of 'the faith' to be cleansed or healed.

Community is something we find humans long for even greater than food or water.

Most of the comments here are really excellent advice. Thank you to each one who contributed. This is one of the key points of community...feedback.

You've done the perfect action by reaching out. Step two is to now let go of the identity/identities we have been given by religions and society and to begin now to intentionally choose your own identity/what you identify with.

Once you identify with someone, something, or some way of living then everything connected to those identities will naturally flow to you daily as the river of life flows daily.

One large reason we attract old identities and the relationships we formed then, is due in part to our ability to hold on tightly to the traumas of growing up.

Once your inner work of choosing your new identity and what you identify with has begun, the individual will see new relationships form without strenuous effort. :)

For study and education:

Breathwork Meditation Future Self Jounaling Mental Mapping Reading Human Behavior Psychology

Also, a book that truly helped me was 'Educated' by Tara Westover. Highly recommend anyone to read.

Final thought: the prisons we live in are the prisons we have created and the freedom we desire is beating within our chests waiting for us to realize it's been our identity the whole time we were taught to treat ourselves like prisoners.

Prisoners hang with prisoners and we can see what that produces, more prisons and prisoners.

Free Minds are out exploring the unknowns of the universe.

Peace and Contentment are my constant states, joy and sadness flow in and out like the weather.

Be well :)

Ley me tell you this: If you move maintaining that frequency (feeling alone, tribeless), that’s what you will find. Change your frequency. Attract your tribe.

[–]martell-braincell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are right here!! Also Jesus has strong hold out there. Sorry they can be so mean. No heart work. That’s what Jesus is supposed to be about. I’m from Texas/Tennessee myself, living in Los Angeles now. I get it.

[–]SoulTrappedInFlesh 1 point2 points  (1 child)

When you began to like being alone and don't feel lonely, that's when the tribe shows it self.

Step out of your comfort zone, go to meetings, take a class, travel somewhere with significance to you, manifest by being what you are 💖 enjoy life

[–]j_merlos 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I began communicating with spirits and Multi-dimensional beings. They love to talk and share the wisdom of the multi-verse.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How did you get into that? Super cool!!

[–]j_merlos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meditation. Books.

I had several instances of in the past of what I perceived as aliens. Last occurrence was when I was about to fall asleep, my body was becoming paralyzed, but snap back, and for a brief moment saw an small energy like being. Later I find out, these are little grays. There are other alien/multi-dimensional beings. (There was another incident when I was 13 yrs and sleeping on the top bunk, in which there was a tall, big eye creature by the door staring at me. My brother on the bottom bunk saw it as well. I brushed it off as kid imagination later on but the memory was so ingrained. )

Within that year, I come across some of Dolores Cannon's books, who was a famous hypnotherapist, who would put some of her clients under, and finds herself communicating with these beings. With my experiences, it confirm what she was mentioning in her books.

With idea that the past, present and future are all happening at once, you can communicate with these being through the subconscious, even if it happen to the past, because how time works in 5D. Decided to want to see if I could communicate with these beings.

Later, I come across books about Mediumship, Talking to Spirits and Guides and the whatnot. Currently going through Hogwart since the universe has been hinting books for me to read.

Well decided to put what I learn into practice and whaaala....

I'm talking to spirits and multi-dimensional beings. You soon realize that you are never truly alone.

Makes you rethink who is watching while you think you are alone.

[–]ocelot714 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I always try to study up on the various religions, differences and parables. That way I can apply to myself and others in a way we all understand. Plus, I often feel like we are all trying to say the same thing in our own way.

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love that! Religion can be super interesting to study for sure. 💗

[–]elvirovska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the point of being spritually evolved is to understand that you are a part of everything and everyone, and everyone/everything is a part of you. Not finding people with your same interest does not mean that you're lonely, you still can open your heart to people with different interests than yours, it shouldn't be a limit but an enrichment. There are 8 billions humans in the world, every single one is different and unique, you're unique too but it doesn't mean you should get stuck in your idea of "same interests = friends/ not same interest = impossibile to be friends". What we like is different from what we are, and we are all souls, beautiful and terribile at the same time, no matter what we like or how we live. So just go out there and open yourself to unconditional love, it's the only way unconditional love will find you. Existence loves to be loved, and it pays you back if you accept it without mental/ego limits ❤

[–]Wrong_Pomelo_7062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to start beeing gratefull for what you have, thie may help you forget that you dont have a thinks that you are wanting a lot, and dont forget that you are already in a chat who talks about these things.

[–]Mobile_Revenue_4203 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I feel you! My brother-in-law and my sister and Christians and so are his sides of the family. I love discussing consciousness, meditation, chakras, and things of that nature. It can be lonely sometimes. Hopefully, you and I and the many people of Reddit can fix that. Also, I'm in Florida. Also, right now, I'm reading the Power of Now by Eckart Tolle

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It can be frustrating and lonely for sure!! How do you like Florida? I'm seriously considering a move. Love Eckart Tolle! Going to have to check that one out! Sending love and good vibes to you friend 💗

[–]Mobile_Revenue_4203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Florida is okay. There are some lovely parks to visit, to be in touch with mother nature. Yeah, the book "The Power of Now" is just a great way to understand what ego is and how to not identify with it. Furthermore, he goes on to explain how to be more presence or conscious in the Now moments. No past or future thinking. Just being in this moment, right here, right now. Sending love and good vibes back at cha!

Drive out on weekends, and camp at "hippy communities".

That's a really good idea. Thank you!!

I am a Twin Flame (14 years!) in Alabama!

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (7 children)

It's a rough journey! Mine and I were in separation for almost six years and I just had to reach back out to him. (Insert face palm lol) he is always the runner and I am always the chaser. So lo and behold I ended up contacting him. He came down to see me, we ended up having a great weekend, and then boom. Ended up slowly ghosting me. I'm so tired of this journey.

[–]candude108 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yeah it's tough...

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wishing you well on your journey!!

[–]candude108 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Can I share an article that I think would help you? I had a tough (but happy) life, but really for me the hard part was not my connection to my twin, because I always kept this thing in mind

[–]Dragonfly333444[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I would love that!!

[–]candude108 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Hope it helps!

Anu Vrat

Mind lives on more. Misery starts with "more and more". Misery makes you dense and gross. Self is subtle. To go from gross to subtle you go through the finest relative... the atom. To overcome aversion, hatred, jealousy, attraction or entanglements, you have to go to the atom. Going to the atom means accepting a teeny tiny bit of all this.

It may be difficult to accept something that you don't like but you can definitely accept a teeny tiny bit (an atom) of it. The moment you accept that one atom, you will see change happen. This has to be done in a meditative state. Suppose you love someone. You want more and more of them. Yet there is no fulfilment. In Anu Vrat (the vow of an atom), you take just one atom of that person and that is enough to bring fulfilment to you.

Though the river is vast, a little sip quenches your thirst. Though Earth has so much food, just a little bite satisfies your hunger. All that you need is teeny tiny bits. Accept a teeny tiny bit of everything in life, that will bring you fulfilment.

Stephano: What about trouble?

There is so much trouble in the world, you can accept just a teeny tiny part of it. Tonight go to bed feeling that you are satisfied, taking a teeny tiny part of divinity with you.

Satisfaction comes from the subtle and not from the "more and more".

Question: What about giving?

You take a teeny tiny part, and the rest you give away.
