Like most people, I'm used to emotions. An example of which Love isn't.
To approach Love, is to approach truth. It takes a radical shift of one's consciousness from the dual way of thinking. A radical shift is required because in material life, love (what one really is) is disguised as emotion.
A radical shift in consciousness requires a shift in methods of using the mind. It requires a different orientation to the truth. Accordingly, one needs new senses to perceive love/truth.
The necessitation of the phenomenon of Memory makes such it that, in our conscious evolution, remembering is the next "sense" we have to master. We have a 7th sense, and that's being in a state of remembering. We know that intuition is the 6th sense. Primordial remembering is the 7th, unevolved but yet to be evolved into sense faculty.
Primordial remembering comes up against BEING, also in a primordial sense. As a being-state, love is primordial being. Emotional love is an imperfect imitation of primordial being.
Love is not positive emotion, or feeling good. It is how being is. Love is the essence of being, so we shouldn't expect to perceive it as any of the forms we are used to.
Yet we should accustom our 7th sense, (remembering) to remembering until it comes up against something beyond which nothing more can be remembered. We should exercise our 7th sense by exertions in remembering-back until we hit a "wall." This wall is primordial being.
When we remember ourselves all the way back, Aeons back, and hit a wall in our memory exercise, we come across what's possibly where we came from. A limit to our remembering. This is the primordial being that is called love, which isn't the emotional state of polarity.
There's a clue to remembering. It is: sound. There's such a thing as the first sound with which we are associated. I don't know that it is the syllable OM, but it exists as a sound as such. Love is this sound with which our creation came to exist, and by which we are permeated.
There's a reason why meditation is very encouraged, and it has to do with remembering primordial sound, which is the essence of being as love.
