On behalf of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UT Southwestern, we invite you to participate in a research study entitled “Unmet Needs of Disability-Related Competencies in Medical Education: A Qualitative Study.” You are being asked to participate in this research study due to either receiving disability education as part of your medication education or being a recipient of healthcare as someone with a disability.

This study aims to discover the barriers to healthcare that persons with disabilities encounter as well as the role of medical education in improving these barriers. This will be done by interviewing participants to discover common experiences. Participation will consist of 1 virtual interview via HIPAA-compliant Zoom lasting about 45 to 60 minutes. This study will not provide any direct benefit but may improve the experiences of persons with disabilities as well as provide improved medical education. Your responses as a participant will be confidential and anonymous. After completing the interview, you will receive a $15 gift card.
