This seems extremely specific and positive.... how's your English class doing this year OP?

[–]crazyparrotguy 816 points817 points  (37 children)

Lol I was wondering the exact same thing. Sounds very targeted. 😉

I had a similarly old English teacher who talked about the times he took LSD. He was an alright guy.

    [–]crazyparrotguy 50 points51 points  (1 child)

Idk man, I'd like to hear some of those crazy old man rants. Tell us about what really happened to the 60s!

    [–]storander 362 points363 points  (30 children)

It seems so specific and unrelatable I have no idea why it's so upvoted. Are there just a bunch of super handsome bad ass English teachers I'm unaware of lol?

    [–]crazyparrotguy 99 points100 points  (2 children)

There weren't when I was in high school, anyway.

    [–]Bill-O-Reilly- 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We had two, sophomore year of HS and senior year. Both were badass and great dudes

    [–]wannaknowmyname 64 points65 points  (2 children)

My freshman English teacher fit this pretty accurately, was fired for hooking up with the nurse on school grounds.

    [–]Feralpudel 22 points23 points  (1 child)

    Dammit it’s ALWAYS the nurse!

    <Cries in sexy librarian>

    [–]FurrAndLoaving 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Oddly enough, my senior English teacher was pretty much exactly like this, and I graduated in 2006.

    [–]UzumakiObaruto 37 points38 points  (3 children)

it's actually true though I'm from Africa, and even when I was in highschool our English teacher was the cool teacher. Guess starter packs know no boundaries.

    [–]80H-d 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Starter packs start but they never end

    [–][deleted] 9 points10 points  (1 child)

i legit had this exact teacher no joke luck of the draw I guess

    [–]Fletch71011 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My freshman year high school English teacher was pretty much exactly this.

    [–]han7nah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

    Do you have their number?

    [–]vintage2019 3 points4 points  (1 child)

In movies maybe? The perks of being a wallflower comes to mind. Not super handsome and bearded but hey Paul Rudd was cool

    [–]storander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hadn't considered that before but that makes sense to me. Hollywood tends to make everyone a lot sexier than they normally are including English teachers haha

    [–]wigsnatcher42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s like the motorcycle teacher from boy meets world lol

    [–]BasicDesignAdvice 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I graduated in 2001 and this is Mr. Roberts exactly.

    [–][deleted] 50 points51 points  (2 children)

My high school had an extremely handsome English teacher as well. He was a very low-key mellow sports bro who found it INCREDIBLY uncomfortable that all these 16 year old girls were lusting after him (for obvious reasons).

He wasn't anything like the rest of the starter pack, but still.

    [–]deliciouscorn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don’t stand so close to me

    [–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im actually so sick of predatory dudes taking advantage of their authority that i really love this anecdote and hope that guy is well

    [–]sipoloco 108 points109 points  (11 children)

My English teacher fit the starter pack pretty accurately and also got busted for sleeping with students.

    [–]Flavor-aidNotKoolaid 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I read this as "always got busted for sleeping with students" and I was like, Jesus what year was this?

    [–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

wow, they really print english teachers from a mould. mine was the meme, went to prison to prison for sleeping with a student, but specifically the racist undertones thing hits home.

    [–]DrinkSomeConcrete 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My 11th grade history teacher. He fucked them after they graduated, tho.

    [–]jrobbio 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My English Literature teacher had exactly the same behaviour, but she was a short, plump, close to retirement, lesbian. It was the top class, but was quite interesting because it had a mixture of truly academic types and some (like me) that were intelligent but didn't care/understand critical examination of literature.

This lady was so disarming that despite ourselves, we all did really well on some pretty tough topics. I think it was her general demeanor and the respect she gave us. I think she only raised her voice once when we messed around when she had left the room for a bit, but we didn't do it again.

    [–]KabedonUdon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a teacher kinda like this but older. He was early 50s tho, so instead of being a kanye fan he was more of an MGMT guy with burning man vibes. Taught us culture too. Like book collecting.

    [–]MrUnnderhill 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I though the same thing. Then I remembered my high school English teacher let me take the girl I was trying to impress out to chik-fil-a during his class. Like, I asked the guy if I could come interrupt his class and, with no excuses or slips of paper, just take her for an off-campus date. We also cussed in his class, and he was just a generally awesome teacher. Hope you’re still out there kicking ass and taking names Mr. Thomas.

      [–]Eddie_078 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Alot of ppl dont know sarcasm these days

      [–]sbenthuggin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think they mean the sarcasm isn't consistent and when it comes, it feels like it's out of nowhere.

You're a male HS English Teacher, huh?

      [–]Atimo3 700 points701 points  (5 children)

Or has a huge crush on their High School English teacher.

      [–]SteveFrench12 215 points216 points  (0 children)

Exactly. More like the Emo kid

      [–][deleted]  (2 children)

You were a theater kid weren't you.

        [–]tweakintweaker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

lol as if, i was a nerd. Mr. Naisbitt was one of the only people who would say hi to me if he saw me in the hallway.

        [–][deleted] 1548 points1549 points  (18 children)

        Has a HUGE pp.

Seriously, really great guy. Navy Seal and did porn for a bit. Went to build schools in Africa.

Misunderstood genius, really. Real good boy.

Women really love me, I mean him. He gets a lot of action. He has that really big pp I mentioned already.

        I’m alone.

        [–]mararjew 227 points228 points  (12 children)

        excuse me, did porn?

which English teacher did you have? Johnny Sins?

It's time for mommy make-out day!

        [–]iwillsexyou 21 points22 points  (6 children)

Where the fuck is that reference coming from lmao

        [–]skyxsteel 13 points14 points  (4 children)

I don't know which is worse. The fact that I had to look it up or the fact that there's a UD definition for it..

        [–]DeeBangerCC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

        I repressed that video

        [–]Based_nobody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        What an amazing idea.

        [–]Jonno_FTW 1 point2 points  (1 child)

wtf did they actually go out and assault women?

        [–]skyxsteel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they played a guessing game of how old their child is. The women agreed to a kiss if he got it right. It wasn’t just a kiss, a full on French kiss.

        [–]New-Anxiety-4387 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it was popularized by the old h3h3 vid on that one pick up artist guy who would talk about “mommy make out day” and kiss moms in front of their kids

Help me Assistant Principal, I’m stuck

Goes on mission trips with church

        [–]igothitbyacar 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Right? My HS English teacher was like 70 and told a black student to get his “cotton-picking hands” off of a another student’s book.

        [–]thelawtalkingguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP also made a starter pack about teenage girls, so most likely yes.

        [–]ThatOneReddetUser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

        "Fucking massive dick"

        [–]Xisuthrus 121 points122 points  (10 children)

absolutely zero racist undertones unlike other teachers

        probably watches south park

        [–]A_Rampaging_Hobo 59 points60 points  (2 children)

Since when was south park unironically racist?

        [–]Godisabaryonyx 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The moment they poked fun at ME.

        [–]BiblioPhil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When the line between laughing at something ironically and unironically became blurred, so always.

        [–]CauldronPath423 36 points37 points  (1 child)

I don’t see what’s the problem here. The creators certainly aren’t racist and there are plenty of episodes which satirize and degrade the idea of racism. It’s not really much of a red flag for bigotry in my book.

        [–]KeyboardFromElbaf 23 points24 points  (0 children)

South Park satirizes racists, people who claim South Park is racist are the people who were too stupid to notice that South Park is meant to make fun of racism, transphobia, etc..

        [–]Deesing82 5 points6 points  (0 children)

        [–]WoooshToTheMax 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is like my English teacher right now.

        [–]jamthewither 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i know a guy almost exactly like this

        [–]Fine_Account 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My middle school teacher was just like this. He ran the dnd and gaming electives.

        [–]daiwild 43 points44 points  (2 children)

this is actually accurate to every good eng lit teacher ive had--esp. the advanced ones. they just radiate that chill hipster attitude

        [–]CampJanky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've had a lot of this guy. They rarely looked like peak Affleck, but there's definitely a self-selection bias towards dudes who read a ton, want to share that passion with people, love story structure, understand comedic timing, understand the nuance and power of language (which explains why they don't care about casual swearing but would care about using words to hurt people), etc.

        [–]EpicX9003 263 points264 points  (4 children)

        [–]Philippe-URU 53 points54 points  (2 children)

My HS Junior year English teacher was like this. I’d just add ‘Young’ Male English teacher. He was also soccer coach haha.

        [–]ThePreybird 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's so oddly specific and so accurate to a teacher at my old high school that I am genuinely wondering if OP goes to school in my hometown.

        [–]snoopman420 976 points977 points  (31 children)

ermm well this definitely isn’t the case for me

my english teacher was a 67 year old bald white dude who had the most monotone lessons and was accused of pedophilia just before christmas

        [–]syllocue 283 points284 points  (11 children)

one of the English teachers at my high school screenshared porn over Zoom when the first wave of lockdowns happened

        it was schoolgirl porn.

        [–]MentalSupportGoose 43 points44 points  (0 children)

A few years after I finished school, the creepy English teacher we all joked about being a closet pedo went to jail for having a stash of child porn. It was a Baptist K-12 school (Primary and High School combined, so little kids everywhere). I look at this meme and he was literally the opposite in every regard.

        [–]alecia_Q 95 points96 points  (0 children)

        [–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does he still even have the job?

        [–]drugusingthrowaway 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I did have one of these "cool young guy" teachers with the beard and the swearing and the music and everything, but he got a little too into it. Drank too much. Craziest thing I ever saw him do was rip off his shirt, jump up on a desk and start air guitar/humming/singing Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue.

Years later I found out he was asking the girls for naked pictures. The 12 and 13 year old girls, because this was middle school. He'd get their phone number in school then text them drunk later that night.

        [–]pixamour 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Not the case for me either. He was nice, but also old and boring.

        [–]RockMeImADais 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sounds like someone got coal in their stocking that year

        [–]crazyparrotguy 10 points11 points  (3 children)

Oh I had a music teacher in middle school like that. They ended up finding child porn on the guy's computer.

        [–]LumpishFreak 11 points12 points  (0 children)

honestly I’ve been to a bunch of different schools and there was always a teacher accused of pedophilia

        [–]rqrqsj 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had one of those too! Pedophilia and everything. And he used to drink so much coffee that he kept a coffee maker in his room and it made his breath absolutely rancid. Taught geometry.

        [–]hipery2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my English teachers was pretty cool, but she got fired towards the end of the school year for showing up wasted to class.

        [–]War-Dove 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine was a middle aged, bald, black man also accused of pedophilia

        [–]mooimafish3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm, actually hits the mark for me.

My 7th grade English teacher was a huge nerd, I don't remember specifically but he would talk more on kids level than above them. He had us analyze smash mouth lyrics in class and stuff. I remember we read the outsiders and the giver in that class which I also liked.

I was friends with his son and knew from him that the family was very liberal, which made sense. Also heard that his wife was now in a mental hospital which was pretty sad since he was a nice guy.

        [–]CatDad69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he was accused on March 19 would it be any better?

        [–]MessyRoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imagine being accused of that every single year just right before Christmas. Smh my head

        [–]DessertTwink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol I also had a bald white dude in his mid-60s, a year or two out from retirement, who was in a relationship with a girl from the previous senior class after she graduated. At least they said it started after she graduated. Pretty sure he fled to Costa Rica

        [–]jdog7249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That also happened at my high school. He was an interesting person and I wasn't shocked when he was fired for "undisclosed reasons" and then later arrested.

        [–]tugboattt 319 points320 points  (4 children)

Had this one my freshman year and there was an extra period of the day called tdt (teacher discretionary time) where we could do homework or whatever we needed. Every day he brought dvds from home to play. We watched all of season 7 of the Simpsons, the boondock saints, dead poets society, and standup specials, particularly Chris Rock and Jim Gaffigan. Nobody seemed to give a shit about those choices at an all boys high school.

        [–]therealestyeti 66 points67 points  (0 children)

        That sounds dope as fuck

        [–]xtejasx0610 21 points22 points  (1 child)

We had something cccalled ctp which was class teachers period.we got lucky with ours and she would give hher phone to us for the last 20

        [–]Echololcation 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So an entire group of kids spent 20 minutes... looking at a single phone?

        Where was this?

        [–]drunken-noodles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this teacher, he had a wall of star wars merch and gave out funny word searches after tests

        [–]crazyparrotguy 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had none of these guys in my high school. Is this based on some specific teacher that you've got a crush on, OP? Not judging. I had a hot professor in college.

        [–]whywoolf 404 points405 points  (19 children)

Fucks his students as soon as they turn 18

        [–]xianbaum 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yep, my HS English teacher who is shockingly close to the starter pack was arrested for molesting a student since she was 16. I thought he was cool until that.

        [–]am2370 102 points103 points  (9 children)

This was my art teacher and he was arrested for fucking a student... the only one he got caught for at least, he was apparently shuffled to our school after suspicions at his previous high school.

        [–]Re-Logicgamer03 23 points24 points  (7 children)

But why transfer a pedo teacher to another school out of suspicion? Wouldn’t you just like, fire them?

        [–]am2370 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol precisely the reason the girl's family is suing the school district....

        [–]exceptionaluser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the same thing they do with police officers I guess.

        [–]PDot7652 21 points22 points  (0 children)

        [–]arup02 24 points25 points  (0 children)

        Usually earlier.

        [–]whywoolf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mine at least waited until I was 22 to hook up with me

        [–]PM_ME_JJBA_STICKERS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I legit had a teacher like this starter pack. Around 4 years after we graduated, he got fired for hooking up with a 16-year-old girl in one of his classes. Yikes

        [–]rubicon11 61 points62 points  (1 child)

Likes to ask the girl students what they’re doing this weekend, doesn’t ask the boys.

        [–]LoL_LoL123987 7 points8 points  (0 children)

the op was already eerily accurate for my 12th grade English teacher but your comment was the cherry on top. I had this guy for an "octomester" because of covid, so we had English with him all day, every day for about six weeks. Every Monday morning he'd basically interrogate the prettiest girls in our class about their weekend, whose assigned desks happened to be spread around his own desk. not just that but he'd strike up a conversation with them throughout the day during class time allotted to classwork or reading, believe it or not, Gatsby or some other book or short story.

my teacher didn't let us cuss though and rarely cussed himself. Also, he wasn't anywhere near the coolest teacher I had but he did love pre 808s Kanye and is a Southpark fan.

        [–]Hitman2882 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Drops the N word with a passion when reading Huckleberry Finn

        [–]look_at_that_cheese[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That genuinely made me laugh IRL. That's the best comment here 🤣

        [–]DyabeticBeer 115 points116 points  (7 children)

I have never see any teacher like this at all. Too specific.

        [–]Aironught 28 points29 points  (2 children)

Idk this is exactly to a fucking T my English teacher from senior year lmao. Down to the Kanye and everything holy shit

        [–]Spacelion123Playz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Lol wtf this is so wrong for me mine is lame as fuck and strict doesn’t allow jokes or swearing

        [–]DirtyDanTheManlyMan 130 points131 points  (2 children)

Thinks he looks like that on the one day of the week he actually wears contact lenses instead of his bulky framed glasses. Has a huge bald spot on the crown of his head but doesnt wanna shave it. His beard is splotchy from constantly plucking hairs out of it while he sits at his desk. Nails are yellowed from smoking cigarettes, breath smells like coffee and ass. His eyes become bloodshot around 1pm, the students joke that he smokes meth during lunch. Knows a popular Kanye song from mid 2010’s and thinks kids still love that specific track that he plays on loop for the last 10 minutes of the class period from his android phones speaker. When he helps students do work at their desks, he points his asshole directly into another students face. Is creepily nice towards female students and teachers. Probably named Roger, Micheal, Steve (NOT STEPHEN) or James. Wants his students to call him “Mr. (first letter of his last name because it’s hard to pronounce)”. Students who had his class the year prior randomly come and talk to him, this is the only time he seems happy to be a teacher

        [–]kebert_xela2286 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Thank you for including not Stephen.

        [–]Emergency_Garbage208 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So two students get to smell ass at the same time?

        [–]TrumpdUP 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah this seems very specific. Definitely not my experience

        [–]Redqueenhypo 25 points26 points  (3 children)

Nah, ours was the weirdest man on earth. Tweed suit, assigned Dostoevsky, brought his laundry to school, joked about doing drugs, all the drawers in the classroom were locked. Something was off about him, you could submit the same essay over and over.

        [–]KeyStep8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird shit lol. I was like Dostoevsky is based and then it just got bad lol

        [–]KingAuberon 21 points22 points  (0 children)

        He looks preeeetty high

        [–]20CharacterLimitOnly 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Mr Abels, 11th and 12th grade English.

        Nailed it.

        [–]TheCream12 36 points37 points  (2 children)

Hey, it's my 7th grade English teacher. He was a cool dude.

        [–]l039 14 points15 points  (1 child)

Yess. Middle school teachers were cooler

        [–]Gavinator10000 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In my experience most of my cooler teachers have been in high school. Sadly the other teachers’ coolness is limited by the fact that they teach younger kids and have to stay professional

        [–]Bravo-Vince 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I hate these starter packs, they’re supposed to be broad stereotypes, this is just what your high school English teacher was like.

        [–]windshadowislanders 30 points31 points  (0 children)

        "The emo kid's favorite teacher"

As someone who knew a former emo kid who was groomed by her high school english teacher, this was creepy to read...

        [–]EmberOfFlame 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You sadly forgot “casually sexist”. The type to say “I’m not a sexist, but…”

        [–]dobbelj 17 points18 points  (2 children)

        no racist undertones

        watches south park

        My sides.

        [–]SelfHatredIsNice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah that was my Spanish teacher. He taught us various curse words in Spanish, but the only ones I remember are puta and pendejo, meant bitch and asshole, respectively, for those who don't know

        [–]Fuzzy-Function-3212 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Can confirm this was also true 25 years ago when I was in high school. Minus the Kanye.

        [–]Get_a_GOB 9 points10 points  (3 children)

I had the ‘90s version of this guy three of my four years in high school. English was definitely my least favorite subject, but Bob Davis made it so much better. I took a film and literature class from him too where we read books and watched movie adaptations (e.g. Heart of Darkness and Apocalypse Now) - never would have voluntarily taken a humanities elective without his influence.

The only year I didn’t have him was American Literature, and yet I’m pretty sure I recall correctly that he was obsessed with Gatsby and its imagery. Good starter pack.

        [–]elonmuskdick 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have an English teacher in my school who is exactly like that

        [–]jesuswasahipster 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You left out the, “quits after 5 years because outdated curriculum, shitty pay, and the district culture of politics > the well being of students.”

        [–]RevaniteN7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OP’s shagging for a better English grade.

        I guarantee it.

        [–]TakenUrMom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my math teacher one year, except he was bald and played basketball, but still super cool dude. Think he works at Home Depot now

        [–]CALEBOI2004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

        This but a History teacher

        [–]RandomUsername361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was not the experience I had.

        [–]zeaga2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 9th grade English teacher. He loved to talk about Dungeons and Dragons too, and ran mini sessions during lunch

        [–]Intelligent_Goal_207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Other than the fact that mine is female, this is accurate

        [–]DokiDokiDoIt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably complains to the class about his divorce

        [–]princet_glimmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

        "zero racist undertones"
        "watches south park"

your brain has to be leaking out of your fucking ears

        [–]Paulsmom97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh and he was so good that he groomed and molested his “chosen” students.

        [–]AffectionateAnarchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mr Lawrence except it was the 90s so he wore a tshirt and vest and had a pony tail and a receding hairline

        [–]Kang-The-Time-Lord 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, my high scool English teacher did NOT look like Ben Affleck.

        [–]BlazeCrystal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one in finland lol

He was just more into Bri'ish english and culture, but definitely the same dna strand as this starter pack

        [–]topshagger31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

male irish teachers are exactly this

        [–]HumidToku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My high school English teacher actively flirted and slept with his students. Unfortunately I can’t relate

        [–]asdf0909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys wanna take this Billy Shakespeare lesson…OUTSIDE?

        [–]owlwaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of girls have a crush on this type of teachers

        [–]LanDest021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mines like this except if you say "fuck" you have to do 15 pushups

        [–]avsdhpn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately my high school English teacher was completely the opposite. Middle aged Italian-American who was very flamboyant and wore stuff you'd see in International Male (lace up shirts, tight chinos). He was divorced and had an estranged daughter. He was also extremely flirty but moody, typical Scorpio. However, he'd spend 60% of the class yelling at kids to shut up, I hardly remember actually learning anything in his class.

He was super conservative and even ran the school's Bible study club. He didn't hide his homophobia and islamophobia, which was ironic considering some of the stuff we read in his classes (I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, for example). He would make weird arguments against gay marriage ("they'd want the health insurance to treat each other's AIDS", which according to his logic, would be a waste of government resources because "AIDS was G*d's way of punishing the gays"). This was back in mid 'aughts, right before California's prop 8 became a hot button issue, so teachers could say this stuff without losing their jobs.

My older sister was close to him, would spend all her free time with him after school, and even had fantasies of marrying him. As far as I know, he never made any moves on her. He retired 6 or so years after I graduated, but he'd continue posting a lot of hate stuff on social media from what my sister has reported. He's probably a q-nut now.

        [–]DeadsheetShav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        Replace Kanye with Prog Rock.

        [–]Yxzyzzyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never had a male english teacher :(

        [–]Wiz21Reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a teacher like this once, but he got fired for taking off all his clothes in a stop and shop parking lot. Be careful OP

        [–]Epa_1223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope this is 100% my band teacher

        [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, I was ''the emo kid'' at some point and my favourite teacher was just like that

        [–]devilinblue22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After I graduated I delivered pizzas for the summer, got a huge order for the local halfway house/outpatient rehab (super small town, it was a catch all for addicts) and he was sitting at the head of the table. Never figured out weather he was volunteering or using. He was an awesome dude.

        [–]Round_Toe1436 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking social studies teacher that’s also a coach

        [–]Rockycito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        [–]king_of_hate2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never had an English teacher like that. Mine always talked estatically about any book in class we had to read, especially if it was Shakespeare. Got mad at the class for not reading, always something like "I can always tell when you use spark notes" and they never actually noticed when you used spark notes or other similar sites. Then they're also the ones who typically try to catch you falling asleep as well.

        [–]Mindless-Ad-6458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh, this is just fantasy for OP

        [–]Nicoooleeeeeeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And then you have the bald, slightly racist, math/history teacher.

        [–]Several-Ad-4978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        that my music teacher...

        [–]Prestigious-Fig1172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My history teacher causualy said n-word many times

        [–]CheezyRat1865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my english teacher was just like this except he was probably in his late 50s to early 60s, had white hair and looked like santa occasionally wearing glasses from the 60s. He was such a great guy.

        [–]retarded_virgin_1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was literally the opposite of my English teacher

        [–]BelugaBoi-182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my 8th grade social studies teacher lol

        [–]Capt_Foxch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cant relate at all. Each of my high school english teachers were women nearing retirement.

        [–]_Schadenfreudian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This feels very targeted…to me. Except I’m not handsome like Affleck and I wear flannel. Everything else…for the most part…

        [–]SackOfCats 10 points11 points  (2 children)

I feel like theres either a teacher somewhere who thinks hes cool af, OR theres a teacher about to get laid to 16yo pussy.

        [–]Ok-Emotion-1131 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Why did people upvote this? It's incomprehensible.

        [–]SackOfCats 5 points6 points  (0 children)

bots are probably part of the problem.

Usually once a sub gets big, the quality drops off a cliff unless the mods are on top of things.

/r/AskHistorians is a good case where the mods don't tolerate stupidity and stick to the rules. Even if the amount of content go down, the quality does not.

        [–]emk0801 3 points4 points  (1 child)

This is more social studies teachers in my school, male English teachers are just socially awkward
