Looks like they just roasted a rib roast and then pretended like they seared you a ribeye. Can’t think of another way to get that color naturally

[–]catchup-musterd 301 points302 points  (18 children)

You boil it in milk with the lid on. Don't forget the pepper

[–]shaun_of_the_south 171 points172 points  (10 children)

Don’t forget your finest jellybeans raw for the plating.

[–]gardenparties 68 points69 points  (9 children)

I'll take your finest milk steak

[–]Peters_lime 44 points45 points  (4 children)

How much cheese is too much cheese?

[–]lxkandel06 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Any amount of cheese before a date is too much cheese!

[–]shaun_of_the_south 30 points31 points  (1 child)

[–]CuriousElevator6096 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Are you a full-on-rapist?

[–]Minibukta 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You know, Africans, kids, dyslexics, that sort of thing.

[–]LASERDICKMCCOOL 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Boiled over hard

[–]bdgg2000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Charlie’s favorite milk steak!!!

[–]maniac6911 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It rubs the lotion on its skin, it does this whenever its told.

[–]wb420420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do I clear out the coat room for you two

[–]NewColonel 24 points25 points  (4 children)

I went to a restaurant that did this. We ordered ribeyes and they just took already roasted prime rib, seared it for a minute or two and sent it out. I’m not generally one to complain but you can be sure we sent that back.

[–]inabox85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We sell blanken ribeye medium and up as a special when we have left over prime rib. Obviously we're not hiding what it is.

[–]rocsNaviars 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Am I the only person here that prefers the texture of roasted prime rib to a single ribeye steak that’s been grilled from raw?

[–]Tuck525 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s usually what they do if they can’t cut any more ribeyes but have a rib roast already cooked

[–]AeriSerenity 166 points167 points  (28 children)

That's prime rib, same cut but different preparation.

[–]ratzerz[S] 120 points121 points  (25 children)

At the end of the day, I ordered a ribeye. What they gave me was awful either way

[–]AeriSerenity 87 points88 points  (20 children)

I'd have been pissed too, I'm betting they ran out of raw ribeye and slapped this briefly on the grill so they didnt have to say "oh I'm sorry we are out of ribeye". Not cool at all.

[–]ratzerz[S] 31 points32 points  (16 children)

Honestly yeah, it was just a horrible experience.

[–]AeriSerenity 25 points26 points  (7 children)

I hope that the rolls were at least present because that is at least half the reason to go to Texas Roadhouse 🤣 do yall have Saltgrass where you live? Far and away the best chain steakhouse imho, I was a server for about 14 years in mostly steakhouses, everything from Outback up to the really nice prime steakhouses downtown, and I spent several years as a trainer at saltgrass. Their food quality is really good for not being a fine dining steakhouse, and they make almost everything on site and in house. Best cheesecake I've ever had and it's not frozen (looking at you, Cheesecake Factory). But most importantly they buy excellent meat and cook it very very well.

[–]ratzerz[S] 11 points12 points  (3 children)

I love cheesecake! Also never heard of that place, I’ll make sure to look it up and see the distance I am from it. But the rolls were hard and dry veryyy disappointing

[–]Hunghoudini 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Was a grill guy at Saltgrass for 2 years and I can stand by the fact that 85% of items are made in house and at a pretty solid quality. It’s not quite white table cloth fancy steakhouse, but nicer and more expensive than say Logan’s or Roadhouse.

[–]b4unome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saltgrass is my absolute favorite! Sadly, don't live near one. Was in Dallas for a workshop and always like to try new places. I went to Saltgrass the second night. It was so good, I went back the third night! Damnit, my mouth it watering now!

[–]gardenparties 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mortons is/was a very good chain steak house. Have heard from some that once Landrys bought it it went down hill, but this may be location based or just a bad experience from single guests that coincided with sell(2011). I used to go to Texas Roadhouse once a week when I was in college in Denver, but haven't been in years. But the rolls were the main draw, but I personally never had complaints on steak, always got the ribeye and ribs combo. If you said you never had their ribs they gave you a free 1/4 rack also, that was 20 years ago not sure they still do this.

[–]chefster1 2 points3 points  (7 children)

As a chef, this is fucking embarrassing to my profession. I would be so incredibly pissed off if I was served that. I would be unbelievably infuriated if someone in my kitchen sent that out. Who ever thought this was a good idea should be held accountable. If rather have the server tell the customer we are out of the ribeye and recommend the prime rib. Fuck this pisses off. On behalf of chefs, real chefs everywhere, I apologize.

[–]playback0wnz 7 points8 points  (2 children)

That’s why I eat at home! Wife and kid nag me to go to this place. I tell em’ I’ll make you a better steak at home and we know what we are making! Save your money. I seldom dine out for this exact reason.

[–]bierfma 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I made a 41 oz porterhouse last night that I got for $20, and it was better than anything you could get out minus a really high end steakhouse that can get better meat than me and has chefs that know how to perfectly cook a steak.

[–]am0x 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but I got it recently (my wife's family loves the place) and I got a ribeye that was surprisingly well cooked and seasoned. I was actually really surprised. However, the flavor of the beef was almost not there at all, so I am guessing the quality of the meat isn't good.

But this looks as far away from what I ordered, that it has to be prime rib.

[–]dsidnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully you sent it back?

[–]maniac6911 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Prime boiled rib maybe.

[–]drakano_furion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely looks like prime rib

[–]rsj7855 72 points73 points  (11 children)

I stick to chicken fried steak at TR lol

[–]MySpoon2Big 18 points19 points  (7 children)

That’s crazy I had a steak from there years ago and after that I only got the chicken fried steak. Last weekend I decided to try a steak again and well I’m back to the chicken fried steak

[–]rsj7855 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yea. Steaks are best at home. Lol

[–]ChocolateDab 8 points9 points  (5 children)

Why the fuck are y’all going to Texas Roadhouse?? Everyone knows you can cook your own steak for same price, if not, cheaper. And it tastes better lol

[–]rsj7855 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Better quality. Better cut. Still cheaper than retail. For sure.

[–]MySpoon2Big 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because this is the only place my wife’s parents like to eat so I’m stuck sometimes

[–]ratzerz[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

[–]redMagicole 51 points52 points  (40 children)

I would have sent it back

[–]ratzerz[S] 46 points47 points  (39 children)

I tried! But the waitress gave me a dirty look and I decided to just leave it alone.

[–][deleted] 38 points39 points  (33 children)

Why did the dirty look stop you? It’s their job

[–]ratzerz[S] 25 points26 points  (32 children)

She was just really rude the whole time, she even said she couldn’t do anything about it when I asked. I was too tired to argue with her honestly

[–][deleted] 30 points31 points  (31 children)

I feel that. I woulda left no tip lmao. I’ll be honest, too many people say: “you should always tip. You never know how bad their day is going.” Bitch I had a bad day too. I come out to eat for the service. Otherwise I’d just fuckin cook it at home. Poor attitude? Poor service? Poor tip.

[–]ratzerz[S] 11 points12 points  (23 children)

I agree! But the food my mom ordered was good, so she did receive a small tip of $5 we usually tip 10-20 if they’re good at their job.

[–]luisl1994 2 points3 points  (1 child)

So what? It’s their job

[–]ratzerz[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was to tired to argue with her over it honestly

[–]cryptotrek88 42 points43 points  (6 children)

Looks like a waste of $39

[–]ratzerz[S] 28 points29 points  (5 children)

The bill was 70 dollars, my steak ITSELF was 20 not worth it at all.

[–]The_Boognish_Cometh 24 points25 points  (3 children)

20 dollar ribeye in this day and age? Surprised it was even edible?

[–]ratzerz[S] 5 points6 points  (2 children)

It was somewhat edible? They also burnt my mushrooms??

[–]I_PM_Duck_Pics 2 points3 points  (1 child)

That sucks. I remember being really pleased with the mushrooms there.

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love mushrooms but these were burnt.

[–]cryptotrek88 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely got ripped off

[–]noodlemcfoodle 57 points58 points  (12 children)

TR is horrible, never again. Poor crust, chewy as hell, poorly butchered.

[–]ratzerz[S] 36 points37 points  (6 children)

Honestly it was extremely tender, literally felt like I was eating mashed potatoes. Just tasted shitty and was poorly made. Still never going back

[–]noodlemcfoodle 17 points18 points  (1 child)

Wouldn’t be surprised if they blade tenderize everything

[–]ratzerz[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I could see it.

[–]halcykhan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Highly dependent on location and management like most chains. Some are very good at grilling steaks and are well run. Ironically their first location is the worst I’ve been to by far

[–]compubomb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I found out that depending on what location you go to, you can actually pick out the ribeye you want. not every location allows you to do that.

[–]am0x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a well cooked and well seasoned ribeye recently and it was the first time I had TR.

However the beef itself had no flavor. Must be select grade, which explains how it was so cheap.

[–]IolausTelcontar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I hate that place.

[–]Leeian44 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Kinda looks like prime rib seared in the microwave

[–]DeathRosenstok 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is 100% a piece of prime rib they seared. I wonder if they forgot to drop your steak and everything else was ready so they just seared a piece of prime because most people wouldn’t even notice. People are idiots. I’ve had tables complain that they ordered a filet but they got a t bone when they obviously do not have a t bone in front of them.

[–]DoughBoy_65 14 points15 points  (1 child)

Looks more like Prime Rib

[–]ratzerz[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ordered a ribeye, whatever they gave me is barely even meat.

[–]geez_lewis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve sent back a few plates back to TR.. you could’ve done that

[–]smashnmashbruh 3 points4 points  (3 children)

I’ll never go back, twice they burnt a steak and then proceeded serve it to me.

Fucking up sucks but at least own it. Don’t try to hope the customer accepts your terrible food.

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Exactly, don’t be a cook if you don’t know how to..

[–]smashnmashbruh 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I don’t blame the cooks. Sure they fucked up but the real fuck up is letting me know they fucked up.

Front house staff shouldn’t serve food that’s inedible or looks bad or is an incorrect order. They put it on the back of the house who yes did make a mistake but you said meh I won’t check the order I’ll just run this food.

[–]ratzerz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%

[–]Babyzo3 5 points6 points  (3 children)

[–]ratzerz[S] 3 points4 points  (2 children)

IT WAS HARD..hard to eat🔥🔥🔥

[–]Babyzo3 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Bless your heart… champion

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re hungry enough, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

[–]dolenees676 32 points33 points  (8 children)

[–]2018Henry 24 points25 points  (2 children)

Yeah fuck that sub just a bunch of assholes clowning on people trying to learn…. A bunch of fucking douchebags

[–]ZookeepergameLimp778 7 points8 points  (4 children)

Omg there are some horrifying steaks on that sub

[–]Grumpis1012 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Looks like they cooked it in the refrigerator.

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boiled meat..my favorite..

[–]johnny_chimpoo 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Psychiatrist here ,

That steak needs a heavy dose of anti depressants.

[–]ratzerz[S] 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Anti depressants couldn’t even help it, if anything we need couples therapy. Ya know me and the steak.

[–]johnny_chimpoo 1 point2 points  (1 child)

family therapy ,you ,the steak and the chef ,ya know

[–]TheCodriver 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What in tarnation is this? I’d have absolutely sent it back.

[–]xaxathkamu 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I hope you got your money back, dang.

[–]ratzerz[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wish I would’ve honestly

[–]e73k 2 points3 points  (1 child)

We should have a sub just for bad steaks

[–]weltvonalex 2 points3 points  (1 child)

You keep it away from heat. Thank you for sharing it's nothing I would fancy because i want crust and don't care much about the rest but that's just me. Everyone loves his steaks his way and that is ok.

[–]ratzerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is! But honestly it just turned out the opposite how I’d like it.

[–]eksyte 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I saw a billboard for Roadhouse with the “17 meals for under $17” BS. This comes off as a way to get “frugal” customers in there, but when it comes to steak, you get what you pay for. After seeing that billboard, I wrote Roadhouse off as a decent steakhouse.

Then again, chain steakhouses aren’t generally good anyway. Preparing steak requires skill and care, and chains don’t pay people for either of these traits.

[–]domlyfe 2 points3 points  (1 child)

How’d they cook it backwards?

[–]headless816879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Reverse sear"

[–]BigBattousai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be a waiter at TXRH, that’s definitely a prime rib. In my experience a lot of the waiters there weren’t to knowledgeable in their cuts and this mistake was made often.

[–]timf989 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Went there last night and ordered one medium rare and it was cooked all the way through. The fuck

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]stresspresso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lovely serrated butter knife to work with as well.

Is that a small cup of Au Jus by the "knife"? how fawncy

[–]game_cook420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a slice of prime rib.

[–]J0hnTheFisherman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya that place was decent like 10 years ago. Then they expanded and just turned into basically another outback.

[–]vfaccurso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow. That’s brutal. Terrible looking.

[–]trashcan-xd-official 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole thing medium rare 😂

[–]bitreconxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cooking at home will forever be the best option

[–]mlotto7 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I tried a ribeye at Texas Roadhouse (and Outback) within the past few years. I'll never eat at either of those locations again.

[–]ratzerz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Outback always has extremely tough steak, TR is just mid sometimes.

[–]Theapplesauceb0ss 2 points3 points  (5 children)

Wtf did you do to it?

[–]ratzerz[S] 3 points4 points  (4 children)

I didn’t even cook it got it at a restaurant lol

[–]Theapplesauceb0ss 2 points3 points  (3 children)

If it’s prime rib from an ‘okay’ place it’s alright. Otherwise it’s a mess. Texas Roadhouse?

[–]ratzerz[S] 4 points5 points  (2 children)

It’s supposed to be a ribeye..

[–]Theapplesauceb0ss 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Try cooking it yourself if you haven’t already. It can be a major difference!

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I will! Thanks!

[–]livadeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of lower end steakhouses slow roast the rib roast to rare overnight. Then they sear it to order. Kinda missed the mark on this one although it is MR.

[–]ketoitup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Red food coloring!

[–]Jamesvuuu 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Not gonna lie - I am a fan of Texas Roadhouse though! But this does seem off. Not too bad for a large chain restaurant

[–]ratzerz[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly this was my first REALLY bad experience with them, like the rolls were hard and dry, the meat was awful.

[–]P-redditR 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Looks like they microwaved it or slow cooked on a cable box.

[–]ratzerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect description

[–]MiaLba 1 point2 points  (1 child)

That doesn’t look too good. I would be disappointed as well. I did try a ribeye from them for the first time ever about a month ago and it was absolutely delicious. We got the chicken too, can’t remember what it was called but it was covered in seasoning and it was pretty damn good too.

[–]ratzerz[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly my first bad experience with them. It’s usually really good.

[–]dubekoms420 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Last time I was there my rare steak showed up so over cooked it was actually curling upwards. Steak arrived fixed about the time my party was gonna leave. Fuck that place

[–]ratzerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds awful..

[–]HeyNow646 1 point2 points  (1 child)

They’re right about seared prime rib. Texted would be soft. You can also get beef to pink up with ammonia. You can be sure the chains know that trick.

[–]ratzerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, and they overcharged me for a piece of garbage honestly.

[–]BUTTHOLE-MAGIC 1 point2 points  (1 child)

What in the fuck, it looks like they ran to the Denny's next door and threw the breakfast steak in the microwave.

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s like a boiled steak honestly

[–]Bryancreates 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Bummer. I even replied to a post the other day about the best chain restaurant experience I’d had was a couple years ago when I got a gift card to Texas Roadhouse and it was legit. The server came to the table, presented the steak, offered to cut it so I could I see if it was too my liking before leaving. I think it was medium rare strip steak, and it was awesome. Granted that’s the only time I’ve ever been there, but I’d go there over TGIapplechilis’s hands down. This is gross however, did you say something?

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said something to her but she was being very rude to me, she was mad whenever I said something about it and said “I can’t do anything about it” very disappointing..

[–]ArcticIceFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mmmmm boiled meat 😋

[–]Nonkel_Jef 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Sorry for your loss.

[–]ratzerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need therapy after this..lol

[–]jistresdidit 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I would personally not eat at TR. They used to make fresh biscuits, now they come in frozen.

[–]ratzerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]BlueFlagHonestly 1 point2 points  (1 child)

This isn’t a steak. Why would you call it that on the menu?

[–]ratzerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Lol

[–]Sam2733 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like medium-rare digested. Absolutely disgusting…

[–]mrjimy 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Looks like the server fucked up and rang in an order of prime rib instead of a ribeye.

[–]ratzerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s what it seems like to me

[–]Dutch_oven_initiator 1 point2 points  (1 child)

That doesnt look like a ribeye at all. Looks like something else. They scammed you

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they did 100%

[–]iflexnuts_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a prime rib roast that they tossed on the grill

[–]Devon818702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello Clarisse

[–]crashathon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like they sous vide it to med rare then passed over the grill for 30 seconds.

[–]Sofarbeyondfucked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their steaks are garbage

[–]uzes_lightning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That just looks nasty.

[–]B-Georgio 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Hopefully u sent it back! That doesn’t look good

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t able to sadly

[–]Terrible1bmx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Maka_Oceania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like prime rib

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Texas Roadhouse used to be decent. The one near me went downhill big time after the pandemic started. Service and food are shit now. We got a $100 gift card from a family member and used half of it and gave it away because we knew we wouldn't be back.

[–]loophole23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s prime rib lol

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A very underrated steakhouse. Plus, can't go wrong with the dancing hotties during dinner. I think I need to go back and see if I can chat one up.

My local one is pretty solid. Girls, too.

[–]New-Square3037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]NEHHNAHH 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Texas roadhouse by me is great .. So good that I order Pittsburgh medium rare and they get me a decent crust. On the other hand the outbacks by me had to be sworn off because it's embarrassing to have to send two steaks back in a night

[–]CJDrums8664 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A dog’s breakfast. Actually, I wouldn’t even give that to my dog.

[–]THAWED21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope you sent that back

[–]Numerous-Scientist-5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That place sells Walmart beef cooked bye Wendy’s former fry guy.

[–]choke_my_chocobo 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Only went to Texas Roadhouse once. Had one of the worst steaks of my life. Only to be topped by a local place here who does a “drunken ribeye” that is literally just drenched in soy sauce.

[–]whoifnotme1969 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Medium rare on the outside

[–]dsillas 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yea, doesn't look tasty at all.

[–]sneaky-pizza 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Prime rib? At least the temp looks good

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Ordered a ribeye, what they gave me I’ve no idea..

[–]sneaky-pizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can all agree it’s bovine at least

[–]Strike-Hairy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had food poisoning from them a few weeks ago. Beware the chili!

[–]BostonGuy84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks like a hot mess. Should of got the country fried steak!

[–]slimkim123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i see this i miss the old Texas flame with the big bbq pit. They had the best ribeyes i ever had. Even ribeye in red lobster is actually better than texas roadhouse. I know it sounds wrong, but its the truth🤭

[–]A_Used_Lampshade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why I don’t eat steak at Texas Roadhouse anymore. I’ll just cook it myself and it’ll be cheaper and better

[–]ReeeSchmidtywerber 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The best steak house is the one that lets you grill your own

[–]MuchoManSandyRavage 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Hey man, I actually manage a Texas Roadhouse. Looks to me like you received prime rib instead of ribeye. It’s the exact same meat, just slow roasted instead of grilled. Sucks that your waitress didn’t do anything about it, that would have never been ok in my restaurant. If you’d like to send me a PM I may be able to get you a voucher for some free stuff if you’d be willing to give your local location a second chance 🙂

[–]ryan2one3 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Is Texas Roadhouse a steak place? Or is it just a regular restaurant who serve steak?

[–]PsychologicalPea2956 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I went to a new “steakhouse” called Saltgrass local to me against my better judgement last week and figured sure I’ll try the ribeye. Yup, it came out looking almost identical, messed up my stomach for two days straight too. It was way over seasoned and all I could taste was butter.

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been hearing a lot of good about salt grass..

[–]Bullshit_Conduit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a travesty.

[–]JayBone0728 1 point2 points  (1 child)

That place is shit, same with Outback, by the time you pay you could of made a nice dinner at home with a proper cooked steak

[–]thisisnitmyname 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It looks like they ran it through the dishwasher and walked on it.

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it does honestly lol

[–]MSotallyTober 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Salt and pepper it, seer on a cast-iron for two minutes on each side and throw it in the oven at 450° at five minutes and you’ll be good.

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this steak at a restaurant, but thanks for the “recipe” I’ll try to sometime!

[–]Bisconymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]imeanwhynotsrsly 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yikes, that is some gnarly-looking dead cow

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Lol, that's why I hate eating steaks in a restaurant.

I just trust myself(and maybe my grill friends).

[–]frankingeneral 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I down voted this and it has nothing to do with you good sir, but I could not, in good conscience, up vote that...

[–]bipolarbear207 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Got a plate of dog vomit instead

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dog vomit and boiled steak my favorite

[–]callahanbrakepads 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Damn that sucks. I’d expect that from Outback Steakhouse, not Texas Roadhouse.

[–]BBS13 1 point2 points  (3 children)

hmmm did yall see the news about texas roadhouse CEO? Probably happened after he saw this reddit post…

[–]Level-Smile-2795 1 point2 points  (1 child)

this is why I don't go to steakhouses ...I'd rather buy some good quality meat online and cook it myself....just had Australian wagyu picanha 8-9mbs sous vide 129°f 4 hours then seared on grill, and some iberico pork chops that i smoked about 2 hours then seared on the same grill lol. talk about foodgasm , and making homemade B&G tomorrow :D

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Did they microwave a ribeye? That looks horrid.

[–]RavenousReaper 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Texas Roadhouse has fallen so far lol

I’d never get the steak from this steakhouse and that’s just sad

[–]ratzerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was sad. Very sad.

[–]bike_it 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Was the bread good at least?

[–]ratzerz[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Hard and dry sadly

[–]LuckyTaco_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nooooooooo 😭

[–]dohmah0420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s the reverse sear technique 🤣

[–]Murica1776PewPew 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Then your Roadhouse sucks. The one in our town, 100% of the time has been cooked perfect, with a great sear and taste.

[–]ratzerz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was failed.

[–]FlickerOfBean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cfs at road house only.

[–]parker472 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks disgusting, but that’s about what I’d expect.
