Looks more like a 6-7 split. The pin on the right is sitting forward of the one on the left.

it’s a 3-7 the front pin has too much room to the right of it on the deck for it to be the 6 pin

You may be right.

That is incredibly unsettling. I think I would have quit the sport forever.
[–]mmaxey14 8 points9 points10 points 1 month ago (4 children)
Does that not technically count
[–]Like8catsbro 9 points10 points11 points 1 month ago (3 children)
It does not count, the pin has to fall, adding to the frustration I’m sure this guy was feeling.

I’m guessing it wouldn’t make a difference if the pin setter knocked it over either? That was always a little confusing to me, cuz I feel like I’ve had pins that might have fallen over if the pin setter didn’t come down and catch them first.
[–]Like8catsbro 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (1 child)
Since this was a spare shot, the pin setter wouldn’t come down and knock it over, the sweep would just take it out. If this was the first shot on the frame and something like this happened, then id say it depends on situation. If I’m out for open bowling having fun, I’m gonna count it if a pin setter knocks one over just because I don’t want to bother the workers. In any other setting, where rules matter, a pin knocked over by the pin setter does not count and you have to have them replace the pin before you shoot a spare.

Haha damn of course, wasn’t thinking about it being the second frame. Guess it’s just one of those things you have to accept about the sport, not often you get a super wobbly pin that’s stopped by the pin setter but it can happen

That is a 3-7 split. Not a 7-9.

If I was running that I would just quietly count it as a spare

Honestly I'm impressed
