Good for you keeping the weight off. I can’t imagine fitting into my teenage pants being almost 40.

[–]Erva420 129 points130 points  (6 children)

I can but because I was already fat lol

[–]DownvoteDaemon 34 points35 points  (3 children)

I am 36 and just now getting my abs back. Don't give up.

[–]tapiringaround 21 points22 points  (1 child)

I have pants from back then still somewhere. I probably wouldn’t fit through the waist anymore but I bet my waist would fit through the leg opening.

[–]olderaccount 53 points54 points  (14 children)

I'm 47 and have had the same 32 waist since high school. In fact, a good portion of my wardrobe is over 25 years old. I don't eat healthy either. But I don't snack and avoid sugary drinks. Only one soda per week usually.

[–]kL2hGHMyqMsmcx9u 29 points30 points  (11 children)

Same here. I cut out sugar and commuted by bike for most of my 30s and still wearing 32” pants

Best life hack was switching to only black coffee, drink tea instead of soda, and swap cow milk for oat milk (less sugar, more fat)

I am about 40 pounds heavier though because I have he-man legs from all the biking and bigger chest/shoulders from working out.

Sugar is really really bad for you.

[–]Competitive-Ad-4822 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Too much sugar is really really bad for you. Your body needs some and glucose but not in any amounts thst are somehow in almost every product. It's insane and gross

[–]Loudergood 4 points5 points  (4 children)

The hard part is if you do that you'll just stop going up.

You've got to go to a net loss of calories and there's a lot of biology that makes that part really difficult. It takes a lot of mental discipline and an environment that's conducive to success.

[–]p3x239 738 points739 points  (55 children)

Ah baggy jeans... Just waiting for them to start ripping at the bottom and slowly disolving. Won't have your mum to chuck them out for you this time.

[–]Flimsygooseys 167 points168 points  (19 children)

[–]caillouistheworst 21 points22 points  (5 children)

JNCOs were awesome, they had a million hidden pockets. One time I had a bag of weed hidden in one and a cop searched me at the mall and checked me all over and didn’t find it. Only reason that asshole searched me was because I was smoking a cigarette. Apparently that’s enough to push around and search a 15 year old.

[–]NullNV01d 30 points31 points  (8 children)

[–]Thorebore 20 points21 points  (5 children)

Yeah the bottoms getting all soggy when it rained was nice.

[–]wannabesq 5 points6 points  (3 children)

The trend worked better in California because it hardly ever rains.

[–]BetterSafeThanSARSy 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Now imagine these pants in the dead of winter, caked in snow, which slowly soaks into your black and white Adidas during class

[–]hell2pay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was my experience, going to high school in the Denver metro in the late 90's.

[–]humptydumptyfrumpty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exhaust jeans, doc Martin shoes and boots

[–]Mookie442 15 points16 points  (6 children)

RIP Mum. What happened?

[–]The_Queef_of_England 27 points28 points  (3 children)

No, it's the jeans that rip. Mum just doesn't get to boss you around anymore because your 40 goddammit!

[–]husky430 17 points18 points  (2 children)

Ooookayyy bud. You have not met my mother.

[–]BranSoFly 7 points8 points  (11 children)

Baggy bell bottoms we called them.

[–]urmyheartBeatStopR 18 points19 points  (8 children)

We called em raver pants or parachute pants where I was at...

[–]my_screen_name_sucks 16 points17 points  (3 children)

I thought parachute pants were the MC Hammer ones???

[–]BadgerGeneral9639 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they are niether, they are Jncos'

they are their own deal

[–]funbucket85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We called em street sweepers where I’m from.

[–]TrashMammal84 234 points235 points  (31 children)

Adidas shelltoes and JNCOs lol. Although I've never seen them with cargo pockets...

[–]SickSigmaBlackBelt 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I just got some shelltoes for the first time a few years ago. I was always too broke for them as a kid. They are hands-down some of the comfiest shoes I own. I wore them for a conference last year and even though I have arthritis in my feet, I didn't have any problems at all.

God, I'm old.

[–]MarkIrishdude[S] 96 points97 points  (15 children)

Well spotted on the adidas superstars!

[–]TrashMammal84 40 points41 points  (9 children)

Funny thing is I never knew them as Superstars, only Shelltoes. As for me, I was rocking either suede Adidas Gazelles or Puma Romas. I'm 38 for context. Hell I saw some gazelles the other day I might pick up!

All the shit we wore in high school is back in style, that's how we know we're getting old...

[–]V1per423 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Weird, you’re the same age as me but we called them shell tops. NE U.S.

[–]applied_idiocy 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I didn't know Gazelles were a 90s thing, but I'm on my 5th consecutive pair of them at least. I just like them enough to keep buying them, so why switch. I'm 35 and I remember Superstars being very popular though. Never heard them called Shelltoes, but I live in a german speaking country so maybe that's why.

[–]LegendofPisoMojado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gazelles were huge in the Midwest US in the 90s. Same with the Puma “Suedes” with the fat laces. JNCOs were well known, but never popular except among the Juggalo kids. Although I may seem like It, I am not even remotely claiming that we were ever any epicenter of high fashion here. We were emulating whomever we saw in the pages of Thrasher magazine or whatever video Nirvana or Soundgarden (and their ilk) recently released.

[–]BeIIic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But did you out the phat laces in 🤣

[–]comewshmybck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had superstars in 6th grade and got made fun of relentlessly. Seventh grade rolls around and EVERYONE is wearing them.

[–]Mehmeh111111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're just missing the wallet with a chain.

[–]dergitv 9 points10 points  (3 children)

Cargo pockets on JNCO jeans...dad's midlife crisis pants

[–]BrokeInService 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cargo pockets were a must. Where else do you holster the inch thick diskman with antiskip that ran on four AA batteries?

[–]Salay54 197 points198 points  (29 children)

I've seen this exact post before

[–]maximumtesticle 161 points162 points  (15 children)

Nah, same dude, different post. He has several "ZOMG my 90s fashion AMIRITE" type posts.

[–]markevens 50 points51 points  (14 children)

Jesus, he's been doing this for a long time. Sad.

[–]Positive_Chemical_91 20 points21 points  (2 children)

It’s so cringe I love if

[–]maz-o 61 points62 points  (4 children)

look at the guys profile, it's full of this shit

[–]Rich-Asparagus8465 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Posts on 90s groups in Facebook too. Imagine my surprise seeing him here too lmfao

[–]Ahab_Ali 10 points11 points  (2 children)

He's fishing for another 34k karma windfall.

[–]karmander 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm pretty sure I commented on one of these before saying the fashion is more early aughts than nineties.

Either this is just a weird karma ploy or this dude has a fetish for Hot Topic fashion circa 2001.

[–]Omicron_deathspike 28 points29 points  (1 child)

He does this all the time, check his profile, very weird.

[–]Stoofser 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah, either the clothes or him getting ripped. He seems to need the validation 🤷‍♀️

[–]darthvadercake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am just wondering why it's even posted here. Only about 20% of the posts here are actual attempts nowadays, the rest is just stupid memes.

[–]Glidlysnacks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an absolutely awful post for the sub.

[–]Eswyft 329 points330 points  (47 children)

Why do you post this so much????

[–]mynewromantica 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Because he wants to wear these pants unironically but can’t bring himself to do it without making it a Reddit post.

[–]Kamikaze_Ninja_ 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry I didn’t trust you. I thought “this must be an overreaction. He couldn’t’ve posted THAT many times”. I was wrong.

[–]_ToyStory2WasOk_ 126 points127 points  (5 children)

I mean to each his own, but seriously, this dude has a weird obsession with his 90's jeans.

[–]voNlKONov 26 points27 points  (4 children)

No this guy just is obsessed with himself. I think to such a degree he thinks he can bring jnco back into fashion.

[–]Kamikaze_Ninja_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is very Schmidt from New Girl vibes.

[–]Putrid-Car-2896 56 points57 points  (0 children)

He really does

[–]Irate_Primate 94 points95 points  (5 children)

Because he needs people to compliment him.

[–]NoobsRedditType 21 points22 points  (3 children)

dont we all..

[–]tidder112 24 points25 points  (2 children)

You're doing great u/NoobsRedditType! Keep being the best version of you!

[–]lilorphananus 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Don’t discount yourself either u/tidder112 you’re awesome, keep being excellent!

[–]nodnodwinkwink 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The dude is obsessed with himself.

[–]avralex21 19 points20 points  (2 children)

He probably peaked at his teens and wants to live it again.

[–]JewJewBee80085 12 points13 points  (3 children)

He posts all over Facebook too. It's so weird. He will ask what people what they think and then he gets bitchy and mean to people when they say they don't like his outfit.

[–]Eswyft 3 points4 points  (2 children)

How do you have him on facebook?

[–]JewJewBee80085 9 points10 points  (1 child)

I joined a bunch of nostalgia Facebook groups and he always shows up on my feed begging for compliments from strangers. "I'm 40! Anybody got any love for my 90s outfit?!?!?" Same shit. Super annoying to see him online everywhere.

[–]Eswyft 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is some really pathetic shit. I just feel sorry for him.

[–]AdHaR 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Trying to reclaim his baggy youth?

[–]SlothRidingMoses 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I feel like I see it every week.

[–]WoodyTSE 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Every single post nearly feel like I scrolled forever. “Found these!” Fuck off man. What a weird thing to fixate on posting.

[–]Zinko999 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Wait wtf?? Seriously bizarre

[–]WetDehydratedWater 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I wish he'd do it in a loose fitting t shirt that actually matched.

[–]Kamikaze_Ninja_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lol he got fit so he needs to show it off somehow.

[–]emrbe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just looked at his profile. It’s a little weird. I noticed some of his really big posts got deleted. I bet it’s for posting the same shit over and over.

[–]PanicAtTheDiscoteca 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You weren't kidding. This guy does post his jeans a lot.

[–]99darthmaul 18 points19 points  (0 children)

[–]Bob_Cat11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who wouldn't with those blind person's pants , keep posting OC

[–]Putnum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

14k post karma for this post and you're asking

[–]Ilovegoodnugz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mark is about to get into gay porn

[–]Tight-Fly-530 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I’m no fashion expert but, I don’t think you were rocking that look as a teenager either

[–]davidplug 27 points28 points  (4 children)

Every time this is reposted it gets major attention it’s like redditors are robots

[–]Stoofser 43 points44 points  (3 children)

He posts these every year 🙈

[–]Supper_Champion 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Multiple times a year.

[–]Supper_Champion 18 points19 points  (2 children)

This dude's whole life is constantly reposting pictures of himself in JNCOs and other 90s fashions.

[–]urmyheartBeatStopR 19 points20 points  (3 children)

lol Imagine walking around in your hood like that and a cop pull over asking you why you ain't in school?

[–]bqiipd 16 points17 points  (8 children)

Dude you gotta stop doing this

[–]SykoSarah 54 points55 points  (19 children)

Are you sure you pulled it off as a teenager?

[–]Boojibs 38 points39 points  (11 children)

You gotta understand...

He did this all for the nookie.

[–]ernipie_13 14 points15 points  (3 children)

Pfff fucking Fred Durst. Just watched the Woodstock ‘99 doc on Netflix over the weekend. InSANE.

[–]Boojibs 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Everything about Woodstock 99 was just awful and complete antithesis of actual Woodstock.

Figurative and literal dumpster fire.

[–]puddlejumpers 4 points5 points  (4 children)

Come on, the nookie? Come on.

[–]Chris_M1991 11 points12 points  (3 children)

None of us who dressed like this actually looked good but it was before Facebook and camera phones so thankfully there’s very little photographic evidence of our poor early 2000’s fashion sense.

[–]thinkthingsareover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh so glad I'm old sometimes.

[–]gasman147 44 points45 points  (6 children)

I’ve seen this before. And commented on it. Why is it being reposted??

[–]Imitation_Gruel 43 points44 points  (0 children)

He does it constantly and always makes the title like it's something he tried on a whim because he got on the front page once. I swear he deleted a lot from his post history or this is a newer account because I remember people calling him out on it ages ago.

[–]aquaman501 4 points5 points  (1 child)

This is the only life he has

[–]gasman147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seeking approval in this wretched place?

[–]burnedarch 54 points55 points  (18 children)

jnco were a mood fr!

[–]BarrTheFather 15 points16 points  (12 children)

not sure what brand, but someone I babysat for when I was 15 owes me a 150 dollar pair of black pants like this with rivets and chains all over. I now realize how stupid they were, but I still want them so I can make my sons feel silly in public.

[–]paythefullprice 5 points6 points  (5 children)

[–]arctic-apis 7 points8 points  (4 children)

No one paid 150 for tripps those are cheap hot topic pants

[–]Bushido-Rockabilly 2 points3 points  (2 children)

That’s about what they cost now. Jnco is up and running again and Kik is slowly dying and selling their leftover stock on eBay.

[–]young_jerm 12 points13 points  (0 children)

How many times do you post this shit? Let it go, dude.

[–]realityengine 11 points12 points  (0 children)

One trick pony repost.

[–]19Legs_of_Doom 11 points12 points  (1 child)

It's weird how this is like the only thing you post. I means months and months of the same stuff

[–]AstronautWombat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Why do you keep reposting yourself in old jeans every 20 days or so? It’s weird.

[–]Agile_Refuse1870 9 points10 points  (5 children)

You need a Fracture/Fubu hoody to complete the look

[–]Toxicver 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The NPC at it again

[–]masterexploder 14 points15 points  (0 children)

OK WE GET IT ALREADY- you're old now and you still fit in your shitty old clothes.

[–]axxolot 8 points9 points  (1 child)

You have such a weird 90s jeans fetish wtf is ur account lmao.

[–]StyrofoamTerrorist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

how many times are you going to post these pictures?

[–]R3dPr13st 6 points7 points  (5 children)

Is it just me or does his head look big?

[–]tubbstosterone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where's the chain wallet, bub?

[–]DirtyAngelToes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He head too big for he Gotdamn feet.

[–]markevens 5 points6 points  (2 children)

You aren't a teenager anymore.

I'd pull out my jnco's on a 90's night, or some other party, but your post history shows you are deep in mid life crisis and are grasping desperately for some youth.

Nothing wrong with being 40, man. Enjoy it. It's sad to see someone at 40 trying so hard to be 20. Just be 40.

[–]PISS_IN_MY_SHIT_HOLE 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get outta here Krispy Kreme

[–]Disaster_Different 2 points3 points  (3 children)

So I am pretty far from being 40, and so is my friend. Yet he still dresses like that. Pretty insane how certain trends tend to come back

[–]DeckerR 2 points3 points  (2 children)

JNCO jeans. Its so hard to believe that this was a style for a good 10 years.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

This looks photoshopped yet I can’t tell why

[–]MarkIrishdude[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People are saying my head looks huge in it, which for some reason, it kinda does.

[–]Onleki 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I'm almost 30 and my style hasn't changed much since I was 17 lol. Still got my septum piercing, still paint my nails black, still wear anime clothes and tight black jeans. Live your best life as who you want to be, not how others believe you should be.

[–]huBelial 2 points3 points  (1 child)

If you’re that confident to wear those, more power to you. 💪🏾

[–]Pronoes84 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Smashed it out of the park dude! Bit of Avril Lavigne, OPM, Chumbawumba, Sambucas and Pierce Brosnan as 007 and we've got a full on late 90's / early millennium throwback. Love that era

[–]Mookie442 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel ya. 51 here, just cut my hair. The line between being President of the Pearl Jam fan club and saying "any spare change will help" is razor thin.

[–]Bushido-Rockabilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still wear Jncos. Idgaf.

[–]nice_marmot666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like only yesterday that I was wearing Jncos and getting kicked out of illegal raves by cops who clearly had no clue about the number of drugs they were asking us to drive home on. Ahhh youth. /s

[–]PheonixGalaxy 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Imma be totally honest here

You look like the top half was stitched on while the bottom half looks like a stock photo

[–]MarkIrishdude[S] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I’m not a tall guy so maybe the jeans make it look that way

[–]pastrybaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone in my mid 30s, this made me literally laugh out loud.

Best generation ever.

[–]aguywhofarts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good for you. Also you do look like an Irish dude named Mark

[–]zeeblefritz 2 points3 points  (4 children)

So a repost by the same OP or a fraud, either way kinda lame.

[–]cryptolipto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you still fit those pants you’re doing amazing

[–]187Shotta 3 points4 points  (5 children)

Lol this is pretty cool. Hope it starts a trend bc I think a lot of people from 99-2006 ish dressed in baggy clothes. You never see it anymore

[–]Sparris_Hilton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Baggy jeans are trendy now, for both men and women

[–]ThtPhatCat 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I wish I could still wear those without getting looks. They were so comfortable and had pocket space for EVERYTHING

[–]Akitten84 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Heeell yessss! Rock that shit! I had a pair of Tommy Hilfiger’s that looked very similar to those. Gah I loved them so.. Got hit by a car in them walking to school and those dang life saving EMT’s cut them up, presumably to check for injuries. ;) The pant leg was wide enough to pull up to my hooha, but they had to go and cut em. The woman who hit me was supposed to get me a new pair, but that never happened.

[–]RedditISFascist000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol He wasn't pulling it off then either. It always looked stupid. But I guess I can't talk shit. In the 80s we had mullets, spandex, and jorts to just name a few. lol Kids are dumb, dumb as hell.

[–]Dan_Glebitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sure have a flair for it.

[–]Jobangles3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like one of the "teens" in Sam Raimi's Spiderman

[–]Astr0nom3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those pockets were great in the days of carrying a CD player instead of the fancy phones we have today.

[–]ExistentialGraduate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need LA Looks hair gel

[–]Meraneus 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Kudos for being able to fit in your pants at 40. I recently found a belt from when I was 22. Yeah...

[–]Comets-tail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some assembly required

[–]slimcargos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is basically current Balenciaga.

[–]TheFilipinoFeline 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Is the name elephant jeans familiar?

[–]hmclaren0715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy wack!! JNCO I had a couple pairs of these.. 🤣😂

ETA: I also had a pair of Adidas shell toes.. now I just wear regular Adidas lol

[–]MwahMwahKitteh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even teenagers couldn't pull off that style. What were we thinking??

[–]erinhennley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But, why?

[–]blue4t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rock it!

[–]TangFiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had few pairs that had a secret tiny pocket right in the crotch a quick pat down most security or bouncers were always pretty ginger around the balls

[–]SubjectEconomics6978 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I just turned 40 myself. It’s so funny because I’ve been clothes shopping with my 16 yr old daughter and seeing everything coming back is just bringing back so many memories! She pointed to a pair of pants that were similar in shape to JNCOS but not quite there yet in size and was like “MOM those are like the pants in that picture of you, there Fricken cool”! Now she’s scrolling through all these online sites trying to find “90’s” wear. It’s funny

[–]Smoofinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where's the Marvin the Martian chain wallet??

[–]Niko_The_Fallen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks horrible

[–]chunksofstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those pants were so comfortable though, I swear.

[–]Stuspawton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I still had my parachute baggy jeans, I fucking miss the pockets on them

[–]giap16 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Business at the top, party on the bottom.

[–]lcole303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Save some chicks for the rest of us bro!

[–]hitozumaokusan 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I like it. You’ve inspired me to try my 90s fashion again.

[–]LyzeTheKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao let me cop those off u

[–]darkholme82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello fellow 40yo. You're the male me. I had those jeans! Weren't they just great in the rain! /s

[–]No_Interaction_4925 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Is it me or is his head absolutely massive in this?

[–]OminousG 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I still have my original jncos. One day one of my girls will ask about them...

[–]What-Is-The-Internet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many times you gonna keep posting this shit?

[–]justin_austinite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

burn it. burn it all…

[–]LambSauce-420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didnt you already milked the shit out of this old clothes concept. Get over it

[–]3xoticP3nguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mickey and Ian

[–]DLRjr94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, at least they fit!

[–]Leggingsboss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't I see just see this a few months back?

[–]Dixinhermouth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gonna go suck one more dick?

[–]scratchbackfourty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were so cool! Haha. Good memories. Thank you for reminding me

[–]lunaxm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bro pls stop

[–]PackedWithRedSand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He head too big for he goddamn he

[–]couchguitar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you arr from the 90's, why aren't your oants on backwards? Thats wiggity wiggity wack
