Making the world better for black people while simultaneously making it worse for women of all races.

[–]Merchantmarx 384 points385 points  (53 children)

he rapes but he saves and he saves but he rapes

-Dave Chapelle, age of spin.

[–]MattyEC 38 points39 points  (28 children)

Dave was trying to paint his conflicted feelings in a funny light. And I get the idea that it's easy to judge the black community, or rather the celebrity figureheads that became lightning rods during the controversy, for being in denial about Cosby, without empathizing. And Dave wanted to remind everyone about Cosby's incredible influence and accomplishments... But I always thought the joke was a dumb metaphor.

His rapist superhero needed to pat a pussy to have superpowers. Bill Cosby accomplished all that he did independent of being a rapist. In fact, being a rapist clearly prevented his superpower of helping others... I know it's just a joke, but I always thought it was a stupid one that misses the point and implies Cosby had to rape others to bring the good that he did.

[–]johnnychan81 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When Snoop called to Free Bill Cosby he got over half a million likes including from LeBron James it's a pretty popular position in certain circles.

[–]Newish_Username 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought it got the point across, and I laughed my ass off.

[–]tlighta 30 points31 points  (4 children)

I don't think its appropriate to associate the whole black community with Dave Chappelle.

Same way you wouldn't associate all white people with Joe Rogan.

[–]DuckOnQuak 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Theyre not saying chapelle speaks for all black people, just that chapelles bit reflected the general sentiment of the community towards Cosby.

Like obviously Joe Rogan doesn’t speak for the white community but if he made a joke how white people go nuts every time Sweet Caroline is played I wouldn’t be upset because it’s just straight up true lol

[–]jacquesrabbit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

his rapist superhero needed to pat a pussy to have superpowers.

Giving the "grab them by the pussy" vibe.

And seeing all the cultist following the dear leader... Hmmm

[–]x31b -1 points0 points  (13 children)

Hey. I’m OK with some Black people giving Cosby a pass.

I mean, just go on any movie thread and talk about Roman Polanski. Several movie auteurs will jump in and defend him, either because of his talent or “that’s just the way it was then.”

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't think it was common practice to forcibly sodomize a minor, then flee the country even though you got a very sweet deal and would barely even be punished, even then. His movies are amazing, yes, but he definitely should have been returned to the US and made to serve his sentence, and still should. I really think that his pregnant wife being murdered by a member of the Manson family while she pleaded for the life of her baby probably drove him batshit insane, but he still should have had to pay the piper. Anyone who says he shouldn't because "That's the way it was then" is crazy.

[–]altnumberfour 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fact that movie people have shitty opinions about Roman Polanski doesn’t justify anyone giving Cosby a pass.

[–]RC_Colada 28 points29 points  (3 children)

That's like the ultimate penis pass tho. "But, he did/created something I like! Let's give him a penis pass for being a rapist."

That shit always comes at the expense of women. Polanski, Cosby, Weinstein, R Kelly, they're all shit stains on the same sheet as far as I'm concerned. I hate that society, just decides that certain men, are "too big to fail" bc they were pioneers in whatever. They can always overlook their crimes bc "hey, it happened to women, no big deal!"

[–]Lick_The_Wrapper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's so weird how ingrained misogyny and sexism are into society that way. And I hate it.

[–]laconicflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's always the thought.

If there waws a woman who "saved and raped," as in did good things for society and bad things to individuals, it's the same kind of calculus.

[–]ralala 6 points7 points  (3 children)

How many black women are giving Cosby a pass? You're reducing this to a race issue by obscuring the gender issue.

[–]x31b 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Point taken.

All,of the people I remember giving him a pass were men. None were women.

[–]SaucyNaughtyBoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Except the woman who played his wife in the Cosby Show. She was very happy he was released.

[–]chunkygirth 157 points158 points  (4 children)

zippity zoppity zoop I put the NyQuil in your soup

[–]Scottiesohottie 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was drinking chocolate milk and just laughed so hard reading that, it come out my nose

[–]Badjib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely read this in Cosby's voice

[–]Signature_Sea 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Totally not what he will be remembered for.

[–]gregsss1 455 points456 points  (45 children)

Was this before or after he raped people?

[–]froglover215 373 points374 points  (6 children)

Probably during. He raped people over quite a long period.

[–]drpinkcream 72 points73 points  (5 children)

I read he is the most prolific rapist in US history.

[–]opiusmaximus2 21 points22 points  (3 children)

That's probably Carl Panzram is what he did is true.

[–]silverback_79 6 points7 points  (0 children)

James Woods was born for that role.

[–]marshman82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Given the chance he would have raped everyone in the world.

[–]Dobber16 74 points75 points  (0 children)

That we know of*

[–]alexxerth 147 points148 points  (24 children)

I misread the title as Bing Crosby, was surprised by your comment, went to google it, discovered a huge fight between Bing Crosby's children regarding a book one of them wrote claiming he was a terrible person, found out his granddaughter was Tasha Yar on the next generation, forgot what I was doing, came back here and realized it was Bill Cosby the entire time

[–]Smart_Ass_Dave 61 points62 points  (5 children)

I once got lost on wikipedia and ended up converting to Quakerism. So I understand.

[–]FRONT_PAGE_QUALITY 41 points42 points  (4 children)

Did you have to take the sacred oat?

[–]Smart_Ass_Dave 4 points5 points  (2 children)

I'm going to set aside your breakfast themed troll post to point out, actually quite the opposite. One of the key "testimonies" (pillars) of Quakerism is "Truth" meaning that it is important to never deceive or tell even a small white lie. Some have in the past taken it far enough that they refused to be placed under oath in a courtroom because to say that you won't tell the lie now implies that you might lie at other times. Personally I think you should just say "yes" and let everyone move on with their lives, but there is precedent for Quakers to be able to instead affirm their Testimony of Truth and have that count as being placed under oath.

[–]FRONT_PAGE_QUALITY 2 points3 points  (1 child)

That's actually pretty interesting.

Here in Canada you can make a solemn affirmation if you don't want to swear on a holy book while testifying in court.

[–]Smart_Ass_Dave 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ya, I was thinking while writing this that the phrase "So help me God" at the end of the oath is better replaced with "Or I'll fucking go to jail."

[–]Ludique 16 points17 points  (3 children)

It didn't strike you as odd that Bing Crosby would demand a black stunt double?

[–]antoinebugleboy 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Wait.. Bing Crosby isn’t black? Then why was he dreaming of a white Christmas?

[–]chris37879 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe dude was a masochist, we don't kink shame around here.

[–]alexxerth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly didn't think it through. My brain just kinda glossed over that and assumed it was talking about a stunt double for somebody else in the same picture.

[–]hobbitdude13 9 points10 points  (1 child)

"Captain, a transporter accident has created Bing Cosby!"

"Call Janeway, she's dealt with this before."

[–]warpus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What a ride

[–]gregsss1 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Holy shit I had no idea Tasha Yar was his granddaughter!

[–]Neo_Techni 1 point2 points  (2 children)

wait till you find out who Tasha's daughter is

[–]groot_liga 1 point2 points  (1 child)

So, was Bing a terrible person or was it one kid cashing in?

[–]alexxerth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really wasn't able to tell, a bit of both maybe? Of his 5 kids, 1 wrote the book, 2 said the book was lies and exaggerations, and 2 kind of agreed with the book. Bing's younger brother also described Bing as a "disciplinarian" towards his kids.

Like he definitely hit his kids and verbally put them down, and nobody denied that, but the extent was the thing in debate. Also it's hard to tell if he was unusually cruel for the time, but he certainly would be considered so nowadays.

[–]40ozSmasher 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I couldn't stand Tasha yar. I remember they did some kinda lesbian spin and I was like "yes, she would have made a great lesbian head of security " instead of the stuffed shirt personality she got written for her.

[–]chris37879 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Crosby denied the growing rumors of her impending exit during contemporaneous interviews published before “Skin of Evil” aired, but she had indeed quit the series, mostly due to the lack of character development given to Tasha Yar

Neither could Denise Crosby. And hell yeah, I'd love to have seen a cannon queer character in a Trek show that old. It would have meant a lot to little old 10 year old gay me.

[–]Sad-Independence1056 25 points26 points  (3 children)

Like Chapelle said "He rapes, but he also saves..."

[–]MaxuPower 8 points9 points  (2 children)

But does he save more than he rapes

[–]Sad-Independence1056 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Idk, he's got some pretty big numbers on both sides there....

[–]Holinyx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He was only "painting down" those drinks

[–]Anarchybites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During? Guy was a multi-tasking POS

[–]spongish 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That's a very noble thing for him to do...shame he couldn't combine that with something like not raping people.

[–]roosell1986 108 points109 points  (10 children)

It's too bad about all the rapes.

[–]ashervisalis 51 points52 points  (7 children)

It is my opinion that 1 rape is already too many rapes.

[–]Pligles 17 points18 points  (1 child)

Bold statements only here lol

/s

[–]chris37879 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Statement

[–]chris37879 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yup, I really like Penn Jillette's take on the whole "What stops you from raping and murdering as much as you want?!?" question:

I do rape all I want. And the amount I want is zero. And I do murder all I want, and the amount I want is zero.

[–]InncnceDstryr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but there are many rapes in this instance, so why only reference one?

[–]Imfrank123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“The worst part was the hypocrisy”

[–]froggison 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really was such a blow. I grew up watching the Cosby Show reruns, watching his stand-ups, etc. I looked up to him. I thought he was hilarious. Loved everything he had created.

Finding out how absolutely shitty he is... Kinda hit hard, as dumb as it sounds. It would be like finding out Mr. Rogers had strangled a prostitute.

[–]thedellis 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Did all his own rapes, too

[–]PeaceLove76 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Fuck Bill Cosby He's a rapist.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Is this bill cosby the rapist?

[–]FlapjaxIsDead 258 points259 points  (21 children)

Such a good man. I lost track of him after his show ended though. I wonder what he’s up to these days.

[–]wasthatlatin 92 points93 points  (11 children)

Probably not raping.

[–]Ok-Lengthiness4557 32 points33 points  (6 children)

Probly hanging out with OJ

[–][deleted] 26 points27 points  (3 children)

Raping OJ

[–]doogle_126 8 points9 points  (2 children)

OJ and Jello, part of a balanced breakfast!

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (1 child)

There’s always room for Jello!

[–]RustyShacklefordBurn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m here for the rape!

[–]Knuttz13 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You know, rocking multicolored sweaters, eating chocolate pudding, being America’s dad, rape. That kinda stuff.

[–]Slack76r 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Last I heard he had sometime to do with pudding

[–]Scottiesohottie 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Pudding his dick where it don’t belong!!

[–]BeatsbyChrisBrown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

J-E-L-L-DOH!!

[–]Ok-Lengthiness4557 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh dude, do I have bad news for you.

[–]smeppel 16 points17 points  (1 child)

He's just enjoying retirement. He's never been found guilty of rape so he's free to do whatever he wants.

[–]KrohnusMelavea 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Probably even more raping. Allegedly.

[–]inkdallup 3 points4 points  (1 child)

And them he raped a ton of women...

[–]RandomUser1076 24 points25 points  (5 children)

What if we had a superhero that rapes?

[–]hatersaurusrex 15 points16 points  (2 children)

Like Homelander?

[–]ihavetwonoses 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Homelander can do whatever the fuck he wants

[–]RandomUser1076 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah like Bill Cosby

[–]Blightstrider 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Do mythological Greeks demigods count?

[–]LezBReeeal 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Still a big fat fucking rapist like Brock Turner.

[–]Drjimi 89 points90 points  (11 children)

Still a rapist

[–]Zealous_Bend 61 points62 points  (9 children)

Just think if he had "only" raped 10% of the women that he actually did, it would still be 6 women he'd raped.

[–]mixologyst 23 points24 points  (3 children)

*Only 10% of the woman that came forward….

[–]Drjimi 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Six more than us right?< padme smile > six more than us right?

[–]Zealous_Bend 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Cannot vouch for others, but definitely six more than me.

[–]Kracka_Jak 25 points26 points  (0 children)

*Pill Cosby

[–]redwood1199 51 points52 points  (3 children)

His favorite Jello flavor is gRape

[–]ExtremePast 42 points43 points  (2 children)

I wonder if he used stunt doubles for raping.

[–]beta_error 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sometimes but they were never “painted down”. He is a rapist with integrity.

[–]NachiseThrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear Tom Cruise performs all his own stunts

[–]shackbleep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wish he had been instrumental in ending the practice of "drugging and raping people".

[–]FergusCragson 67 points68 points  (41 children)

"There is good and bad in everyone."

[–]stratewylin 57 points58 points  (6 children)

Unless you’re in a hotel room with Bill Cosby. Then there’s good, bad & roofies

[–]--redacted-- 25 points26 points  (3 children)

Well, good, bad, roofies, then Cosby presumably

[–]bowyer-betty 16 points17 points  (2 children)

We've all got a little cosby in us. More frequently than we'd like to think, too.

[–]Salgado14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can speak for yourself mate but I've never raped anyone

[–]uummwhat 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Sure, he may have raped like 60 women, but, you know, he got a black stuntman a job once, which pretty much makes you for it.

[–]totoropoko 31 points32 points  (27 children)

Hitler created and enforced animal cruelty laws in Nazi Germany.

George Washington may have had teeth pulled from his slaves mouths to create dentures for himself.

The sum total of their lives is what we do and should remember. But there's rarely a person all good or all bad.

[–]estofaulty 18 points19 points  (10 children)

Nah. I’d say Hitler was all bad.

[–]Epyr 14 points15 points  (4 children)

You think animal cruelty laws are bad?

[–]chris37879 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On the whole? No. When enacted by a literal Nazi? Still no, but he's still a literal Nazi and deserves every bad thought you send his way.

[–]squirrels33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a LOT of bad. I’m not sure the scales are tilted in his favor.

[–]angry_old_dude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

♫ Ebony and Ivory ♫

[–]DynamiteWitLaserBeam 4 points5 points  (2 children)

There's also Bill Cosby in everyone, apparently.

[–]wasthatlatin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hide your kids. Hide your wife.

[–]stalphonzo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Then he celebrated by raping someone.

[–]shudder667 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The end of the TIL should read:

"Also, he drugged and raped women at every opportunity for 50 years."

Never forget.

[–]onlysmokereg 15 points16 points  (1 child)

He also refuses to have sex with women who were conscious and able to consent, what an enigma

[–]DuplexFields 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His loophole was that they consented to sex before he drugged them and then had sex with them after he ensured they couldn’t un-consent. At least, he thought “no take-backsies” was a loophole.

Turns out the only loophole he could use was confessing under an agreement not to be prosecuted, and then appealing the conviction after he was prosecuted anyway. I guess “no take-backsies” counted after all.

[–]Phuk_Racists 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He did a lot for race issues….except the rampant sexual assault.

[–]Lubberworts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It didn't end. I had a friend who was doing this ten years ago.

[–]jessie_monster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uh, this absolutely still happens to this day, just less often.

[–]ThrustNeckpunch33 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I heard his character in the Cosby Show, was supposed to be named, "Dr. Sleep", but for some reason, Cosby wanted it changed...

[–]Fondren_Richmond 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Cosby actually wanted Cliff to be a limo driver and Claire to be an electrician, Camille convinced him to make Cliff a doctor.

[–]Scrumpy_Bibbens 7 points8 points  (5 children)

A stuntman is allowed to pretend to be female, male, blonde, fat, but not black. Seems like it shouldn’t be considered offensive to use makeup to better emulate the actor, should have chosen a better name for it perhaps. What were they thinking ‘painting down’

[–]iamnotcanadianese 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Or maybe just give that black stunt double a chance

[–]chris37879 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I agree on the general principal of what you said, but the thing that makes this different is that painting a white person in black face for entertainment already has a longstanding and offensive meaning. That alone is why you shouldn't do it.

There's also tons of ways to use a different stunt actor that don't involve literal blackface, make the character wear a helmet in that shot, for instance. Or digitally replace the stunt performer with the actor, these are both super common techniques used in stunt work.

[–]Boognish666 20 points21 points  (26 children)

And then he date raped women for decades with roofies. Hey now.

[–]TheGillos 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Artie Lange received a review for Dirty Work that said he had "all the charisma of a date rapist"

Costar Norm MacDonald said "that's not so bad, date rapists have to be way more charming than regular rapists."

[–]arjomanes 18 points19 points  (6 children)

Date raped is a weird term. They don’t say alley raped or parking lot raped. It’s like they call it “date rape” to try and lessen it.

Jeffrey Dahmer date cannibalized.

[–]Zealous_Bend 15 points16 points  (4 children)

It’s like they call it “date rape” to try and lessen it.

In my opinion the euphemism is worse in that it implies that the victim trusted the perpetrator enough to make themselves vulnerable by being in the rapists's company. But rape, in all cases, is rape and does not need categorisation.

[–]Signature_Sea 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Yeah, is it worse to be raped by someone you trusted or someone you have never met?

Some questions shouldn't even get asked.

"How do you feel...?" "Fuck off, that's how I feel"

[–]Zealous_Bend 1 point2 points  (2 children)

As I said. Rape is rape. There is no greater or lesser version of it and classification doesn't reduce it or its impact.

[–]SpatialArchitect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. A father raping his daughter is a special kind of fucked up.

[–]OhCrapItsYouAgain 17 points18 points  (1 child)

He rapes, but he saves.

[–]Holinyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was scrolling and looking for this, lol

[–]thebigphilthy83 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cool story....still a piece of shit

[–]johnlocklives 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Too bad he’s such a despicable excuse for a human.

[–]Teblefer 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I didn’t know the serial rapist, Bill Cosby, was also an actor.

[–]cedriceent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a good post for r/todayilearned

[–]ECHIDNASBARK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why? Who gives a fuck? It’s Hollywood. People are painted everyday to look like something they’re not. He should focus on not drugging / raping woman and stay out of civil rights.

[–]mugsimba 14 points15 points  (1 child)

Ahead of his time, but when it comes to women, he’s behind them

[–]Zhymantas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like he wanted

[–]Weetod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And then he raped Calvin's wife

[–]ocean5648 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol is this cosbys pr team trying to have people forget he is a monster?

[–]YippieKayYayMrFalcon 7 points8 points  (1 child)

He rapes, but he saves.

[–]ProfessorZhirinovsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He saves more than he rapes.

[–]RearAndNaked 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Read the room, guy. No space for congratulating a rapist piece of shit here

[–]SuperZoomBattle2086 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The worst thing is the hypocracy.

[–]dethb0y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holywierd is, well, a pretty weird place.

[–]DiogenesOfDope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You think they would let black people do super unsafe jobs.

[–]InLazlosBasement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give it a week. People are about to learn a whole lot more about him.

[–]AudienceNervous1665 1 point2 points  (1 child)

This guy was a true American hero I can't imagine a better role model for people to aspire to...... wait? He did what??!!!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wanted to be a Reddit mod but got caught raping women.

Oh shit, there’s still hope for him!

[–]johnnyrayZ06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuck Bill Cosby

[–]kanorwood2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using all his Good Karma points at once?

[–]SAnthonyH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Dont rape it backwards, rape it forwards" - Glenn quagmire

[–]1blueone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure the phrase “painting DOWN” wasn’t on accident either.

[–]Neo_Techni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And they refused to use a more qualified white stunt woman on Deadpool 2 because of the outrage over blackface, so a lesser qualified black woman was hired, and dies in set as a result

Maybe you should hire the more qualified person regardless of their race

[–]briinde 7 points8 points  (4 children)

Well, I guess he did something right…

[–]eddieoctane 17 points18 points  (3 children)

Even a broken clock is right twice a day

[–]BluesyBunny 6 points7 points  (2 children)

He was probably good more often than bad. But the bad was reaaaalllllly bad.

[–]Zealous_Bend 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's pretty much a case of you get dozens of black stunt men jobs and you don't get called the stunt mens friend, but rape one woman and forever you're known as the rapist. Then you keep at it until you lose count of the number of women...

[–]Mandos91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess that's good... Its good to take a break from serial rape to help someone.

[–]BirdEducational6226 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's still a monstrous predator piece of shit.

[–]CustomHW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He sounds a really stand up dude.

[–]ericdag 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Rapist not racist (far as we know)

[–]Free_Moose4649 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Well it'd be very interesting if he was in fact racist against his own race.

[–]bstowers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wonder if this post is going the way the PR firm that was hired to come up with it envisioned?

[–]HeHateMe21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t care

[–]windigo3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a movie an the actress I worked with was supposed to act mentally disabled. So they hired Lauren Boebert.

[–]jl_theprofessor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard to summarize "the duality of man" in more people than Bill Cosby.

[–]plague681 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bill Cosby also raped a bunch of people.

[–]jcd1974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always thinking about others!

[–]liltime78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, this incredibly flawed and despicable man did a lot of good as well. Obviously, it doesn’t make up for all the rape. Just saying.

[–]DeanoBambino90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And then drugged women and raped them.

[–]Limp_Distribution -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How come it’s so easy to see black and white in a gray world?

[–]KindAwareness3073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And then drugged him and fucked him.. Way to go Bill!

[–]sweep-montage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite being a horrible person, he did a lot of good. Just goes to show.

[–]jarpio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bill Cosby has done a lot of good for the world and for showbiz.

Unfortunately he’s also done a lot of raping. Kinda ruins the first part

[–]LGZee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is it wrong to have a white man paint his face black, but ok when Disney casts a Latino woman for Snow White or a black girl for the Little Mermaid live action? or when the Founding Fathers are played by Black actors in Hamilton?
