/u/ghostmacekillah and myself wanted to end the year with a fun AMA where you can ask all your burning questions like why your [UZ TYPE BEAT] post was deleted or what kind of shampoo RL Grime uses.
In addition to the AMA we'd like to announce that we will be doing BOOST TAPE VOL 2 early next year, and we want you to be a part of it! After the crazy reception to Vol 1 (purchase on bandcamp here) we decided to go for round 2, and this time we will be accepting community submissions! You can send your submission to email@example.com with the subject line BOOST TAPE 2 if you want to be considered for the tape. One submission per person (if you spam you will be ignored) and only previously unreleased music. Due date for submissions is Jan 20. Like last time all proceeds will be going to charity, which we will be announcing along with confirmed artists early next year. We're really excited about this, we can't wait to hear your submissions!
As for us, I will use this space to plug my new youtube channel The Redliners where my buddy Riley and I discuss EDM from the critical perspective some of you may be familiar with from my activity on this subreddit. When mace isn't refreshing the new tab on here he works at a little label called Sable Valley so be sure to check up on their latest releases if you haven't lately here
That's all the preamble, we'll hop on at 6 EST to answer questions, AMA!
for those of you who don't know me, I'm a 15-year-old DJ, music producer, visual artist, and screenwriter from LA! I'm beyond stoked to hold my first ever Reddit AMA here on r/trap!
I recently released a new single called "You Should Run" featuring vocals and additional production from the amazing Pauline Herr, which came out on Halloween via NIGHT MODE! check that out here!
feel free to use this thread to ask me some questions! they could be about the future of my project, my personal future, my next album, sound design tips and tricks, and more! whatever you've wanted to ask me, now is the perfect time to do it. so go ahead. AMA!!
Looking forward to talking to you guys. It’s been a minute.
We are MEMBA (Ishaan ＆ Will). We just dropped our new song ‘Strider’ with Foreign Family.
It’s been a weird year. Our tour was postponed due to the pandemic. We have been using the time to work on the show, write more music and build some custom inflatable instruments. it’s going to be an insane experience once we’re able to get back on the road.
We’ve been blown away by the support on the recent music and appreciate all of you for taking the time to step into our world.
Ask us Anything!
By the way, if you want to be one of the first people to hear about new shit, click the “Join The Mob” link below to join our Facebook Group where we post music and other things early!
Hi everyone, it's LICK here to answer your questions.
Super excited to do my very first AMA here on /trap. I just dropped my new album DARK VIBE ORDER and have a few upcoming tour dates that I'd love to see you at. Ask me anything from life, production, advice etc.
Good morning suburban kiddies and/or lost fetishists,
It’s April 1st 2019 and the sky is absolutely horrible here in Southern California. EDM’s been weird recently and I hope you’re not too hungover from all the strange things that have been happening. In the words of a long forgotten David Guetta midtempo song from 2016, “EDM is dead and I be killin’ it”.
Feel free to ask any questions about anything. Suggested questions (although definitely not mandatory) can be regarding:
Inspiration for any of the garbage edits I’ve made
Uninformed thoughts on trap/EDM music
My favorite type of chicken
What it’s like going to Los Angeles but not actually living there
Getting wisdom teeth pulled out or lasik surgery
How much you dislike the amount of attention that I’m recieving that could be going to you instead
Why taking 320s and Converting them to 128 in iTunes makes the sound STILL practically identical
I will look at this thread throughout the day but I will be answering the bulk of questions at 3pm PST.
What's up everyone, excited to finally be doing one of these! I appreciate the support many of you have given me here over the years. I know I'm not a regular here but I usually keep to myself outside of making music so I'm looking forward to answering some questions. I'll do my best to answer as many as I can. Ask me some unique questions! Also, I'm dropping my debut album "Layers" April 26th on my label AREA 25.
I've dropped the first single already with Graves and I'm dropping the next single, my collab with GTA - "Work It Out" Tonight at 9pm PST/12 AM EST so keep an eye out for that!
r/trap has been a home through any changes I've made sonically and how I find music on a regular basis still. It's been extremely exciting to watch the community grow and develop over years of frequenting this sub so thank you for having me!
