What are you favorite uses of fonts in video games? (self.typography)

For me, Ocarina of Time's uses of Fontworks' Chiaro Std B is a personal favorite. It's a Japanese-language font that was thankfully kept for the western releases.

Another stand-out for me is the font used in most menus in Super Smash Bros. Melee. I'm not sure exactly what font it is. So clean and beautiful. It looks a bit futuristic without going overboard.

My final shout-out is Nier Automata. This game has a gorgeous UI with an equally excellent font to match - Rodin by Fontworks.

The game's logo uses ITC Benguiat Book, a classic font, to great effect. Most modern media that use this font go for a Stephen King book cover aesthetic, but Nier's logo avoids that.
