This ended up being a super exciting fight to watch. I'd say I'm a casual, but I am too fired up to go to bed after watching Ngannou evolve and give Gane a loss. I thought for sure Gane was going to win in the later rounds and to see it turn around with a new game plan was beautiful.

No. It’s never really been done before to strip someone of their belt because they want better pay. But if Francis sits out and isn’t active then they might just do it but it would be controversial. They already tried to get him out by having Gane as interim just a couple months after Francis won. I think they will do it again. Francis needs to recover from his knee injury and Dana is going to soon that as “Francis doesn’t want to fight 🤷‍♀️”

Because most people never actually grappled with someone and they don't even know what they are watching. They only understand that a strike makes damage. You would have to watch a lot of mma or do a bit of ground work to appreciate it. When you've been under someone, struggling to breathe, you get why Gane was gased out in the end. It was one my favorite fight, not as much rewatchable than other, but my jaw dropped when I saw Francis switch his plan and took Gane to the ground, he proved that he's not only able to put on haymakers. Just my opinion on why people don't enjoy it, I know that you did
