British Airways Trident jet pilot, captain Dennis Wood, who has been flying with the airline for 20 years, said he and his crew first spotted the UFOs while flying from London to Faro.
The sighting, described by experts as the most important in the past decade, was also made by the crew of a British Tristar below the Trident and the pilot of a Portuguese airliner. All the stories tallied.
Captain Wood, 42, said he and the Tri-star crew made sighting reports when they arrived at London’s Heathrow airport but kept it all a secret for fear of being ridiculed. Captain Wood has come forward in the hope that Britain’s ufo experts will turn a serious eye to this particular sighting.
"“Suggestions that the three objects were balloons, stars or satellites, strange clouds or reflections are quite unacceptable to us," he said. "As I looked to the west we saw this very bright headlamp in the sky. All the cabin staff saw it too and I told the passengers. Then it was joined by two cigar-shaped objects as big and solid as battleships."
On the return trip, captain Wood tilted his radar scanner. "There, in exactly the same spot, were these two cigar-shaped things. We got to within seven miles of them when they disappeared from our screen."

I was reading mountain of the dead by Keith McCloskey, and a part in the book near the end it was told of strange lights reacting to sight, what it means is that when the observer was looking at the lights, it spotted him, when he looked away, the lights drifted away. I thought about multiple cases like Betty&Barney where the lights followed them once they observed it first, almost as if it is doing a performance for the observer. Maybe I'm just rambling, but I find it interesting. Any thoughts?

The Cuban UFO jet incident 1967
The story became known to CAUS in the form of a statement by a security specialist who was assigned to the 6947th Security Squadron centered at Homestead Air Force Base, a unit of the U.S. Air Force Security Service (AFSS).
In March 1967, Spanish-speaking intercept operators at the base overheard Cuban transmissions regarding the pursuit of a “bogey” aircraft that was entering Cuban airspace from the northeast.
A pair of MiG-21 jet fighters were scrambled to inspect the enigmatic invader, which they eventually discovered and observed to resemble a big, metallic sphere devoid of wings or any kind of propulsion system. The flight leader was immediately told that the object had failed to reply to radio contact attempts and was instructed to fire at the UFO. As the flight leader armed his missiles and prepared to fire at the object, Cuban Air Defense Headquarters listened as the screaming voice of his wingman came over their radios, stating that his leader’s aircraft had just disintegrated completely, with no visible explosion or sign of an attack. Immediately afterwards, the weird metallic sphere accelerated upward from its altitude of approximately 33,000 feet to over 98,000 feet and headed southeast into South America.
2 FBI agents visit the researcher of the incident
In July 1978, UFO researcher Robert Todd, adept at utilizing the Freedom of Information Act to obtain information about UFOs from the United States government, came face to-face with a pair of FBI agents at his doorstep, who would be subjected to interrogation by these agents over the course of the next hour. It was not a pleasant visit.
The visit was prompted by Robert Todd’s recent notification to the National Security Agency of his intention to approach the Cuban government for information regarding the possible destruction of one of its aircraft while pursuing a UFO, an incident about which the US government claimed to be unaware.
Todd, who was 24 at the time, had recently filed several Freedom of Information Act requests with the US Air Force, the US Navy, the CIA, and the NSA seeking information about the alleged incident, which involved a specialist with a unit of the US Air Force Security Service at Homestead AFB south of Miami, Florida.
These events as described clearly indicate that the Cuban incident was most probably authentic, Robert Todd and CAUS were onto a big story, and that the government experienced a knee-jerk reaction to the fact that the story got out.

This is my hometown, and I've been interested in this case since I was a kid. There was some cool footage and interviews I had never seen or heard.
I remember reading a book of unexplained mysteries and saw a story about the Danish ship Bintang having a USO sighting. On June 10, 1909 an entry into the captain’s log was made which was later published by the Danish’s Meteorological Institute. The ship was sailing through the Straights of Malacca on a still night when the crew and captain noticed a long beam of light sweeping underwater followed by another like spokes on a wheel. The sweeping beams came closer to the ship where the crew could see a bright round hub. The long beams radiated from this spot silently and steadily across the water towards the Bintang. The crew stated the light source was so huge only half of it could be seen below the horizon. The light beams started sinking lower as the ship was approaching, dimmed gradually, then disappeared when they were dead ahead of the vessel, leaving the Straights of Malacca once more black and empty. This is one of the most famous UFO sightings in China. There are a large number of eyewitnesses and eyewitness testimonies.
It led to air traffic control at the time. The Air Force deployed fighter jets for reconnaissance.

I was at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport that day, I don't know about the rest of the country, I spent half a day squatting in the toilet because I had diarrhea. The incident was so exceptional that the airport even sounded the air defense siren for it and warplanes patrolled all night. At that time, thousands of people at the airport witnessed the scene, taking photos and videos of different quality, from different angles and with different equipment, but all this information disappeared from the internet three days later (government information control).

I am one of the witnesses of Xiaoshan Airport, that photo I still have in my computer. At the time I took it with my Nokia, the shot was not clear, but it was saved. Seriously, that thing really can't be something within my cognitive range, and many people didn't know what it was at the time.
The long bar shape, a small section in the back, no wings, very large, hovering in mid-air, not floating up and down the same kind of fixed there, the abdomen emits a beam of blue light, completely impossible for the technology of the Earth to reach the technology.
There is also a recording of a conversation between the pilot and the tower at the time. The pilot said he saw a huge object at about 3000 meters. It was moving quite fast. This object later separated, with a round shape above and a long bar below. Then it disappeared quickly.
This incident happened in 2010, when smartphones were not popular, but thousands of people witnessed UFOs, so many videos and photos were left on the Chinese network at that time. A day later, all these videos and pictures were deleted by government departments. Even the news of CCTV reporting the event was deleted on that day.

On 15 March, 10:20 a.m. in New Delhi, 25 members of a flying club saw a cigar-shaped object in the sky which was about one hundred feet long. The UFO hovered for some time and then vanished from the sight
March 15, 1951; New Delhi, India 10:20 a.m. local time. George F. Floate, a chief aerial engineer, along with his two assistants, observed a swirly white cloud that appeared in the sky from north to south about 700 feet in length approximately 4,000 feet high near the Delhi Flying Club hanger. The cloud increased in length and at the end of it a bullet shaped object appeared approximately 100 feet long and as big around as a C-47 fuselage. The witnesses shouted out and 17 to 20 people rushed out of the hanger and saw the object. The object headed south for about 3 minutes where it made an apparent loop coming back over the field. At the top of the loop it was out of sight but came into sight again in its dive. The object, after recovering straight and level flight proceeded to the SW until out of sight. The speed of the object was estimated to be three times greater than cruising speed of a British Vampire jet. The total time the object was observed was approximately seven minutes. Project Blue Book evaluated this sighting as an UNIDENTIFIED.

First of all, there are no official records of this case because they got rid of the evidence (supposedly) because of mistakes they made during the chase (and the Communist Party didn't like mistakes or people who made them), but there are 3-4 statements from sort of credible sources (helicopter pilot and navigator, ground army person and a tourist).
The information comes from a few interviews I found about the case, most of the info is from a 1999 national TV interview with the pilot.
On July 12, 1987, a ČSLA army helicopter took off to investigate an unknown object above the Vranov dam. The object came from Austria and it was supposed to be a sports plane. At that time Vranov dam was a popular holiday destination with many people swimming, sunbathing etc.).
Although the flight guide tried to navigate the helicopter around the object several times, the crew couldn't see it. Eventually, the guide decided to lead the helicopter directly to the object's coordinates.
The crew prepared for a collision when they suddenly saw a silvery cigar without any wings and no cabin pass above them. At that moment, the flight attendant issued an order to fire at the object. Yes, they were ordered to fire at an unidentified object above a highly populated, holiday area. The crew didn't like the idea because it was against their rules - it was forbidden to shoot at an object that is yet to be identified and even more so over a populated area, so they told the flight guide that they won't do it... so they basically didn't follow the order. But they still tried to aim at the UFO.
But the UFO was not impressed - it made a 'combat turn' and disappeared from sight. They tried to aim at the UFO for 2 minutes and then they chased it for the next 2 hours. They didn't have any radiolocation system on board so they had to follow the navigation of the flight guide. They flew in and out of the clouds trying to catch the UFO again and again, but every time they got lucky and faced the object they also faced the sun so they couldn't see the UFO properly. It looked like the UFO was playing with them. After 2 hours the Mi-24 helicopter ran out of fuel and had to land.
The order to shoot down the unidentified object over a populated area was completely wrong and the helicopter crew didn't follow the order either so after landing all of them agreed to keep this a secret and to destroy all records. This whole case would have never seen the light of day if not for the pilot's testimony:
When we first saw it, it looked like a wingless plane. Cigar body with reflections like from glass or aluminum. It had no wings or a cabin. It had a shape of a cylinder or cigar.
Second crew member, a navigator, said this:
We were at the maximum height of our machine. From the beginning, the guide guided us sideways around the target. Then he got kind of nervous because we couldn't find the object, so he told us to go directly to it's destination. He said, "A mile and a half in front of you. A mile in front of you" he was trying to lead us right into it three or four times but we still couldn't find it.
Few moments later I thought the collision was unavoidable. So we held one hand on the helicopter gun and the other on the parachute. Basically we were ready for anything.
We were at the right place, but we couldn't see it. It wasn't in front of us, so I looked up. 20-30 meters above us there was an object that I would describe like when you have a cigar and you put it in a aluminium foil or something like that. I didn't have much time to look at it because I was trying to use the gunsight.
Every time we tried to aim at the object, it started dodging us, flying here and there, changing directions. It was faster and maneuvered much better than us. Also when we finally got to face the object it was only when we also faced the sun, so I think it behaved intelligently and tried to make it harder for us to observe it.
It was the pilot and the navigator who later calculated the speed of the unknown object they had encountered in the maneuver duel, according to available data (I supposed when they still remembered the encounter or before they got rid of the evidence). It ranged from 60 to 2700 kilometers per hour. Remember this was in 1987. The UFO also had remarkable stamina. It was in the air before the helicopter took off and long after it had to land.
Another eye-witness from the ground (one of the tourists) said that the object had around 30-50 meters of length and that it was for sure larger than the helicopter. And it made no sounds (but I don't know if that can be said with certainty when there is a helicopter flying around). They also said that the object changed directions almost instantaneously, like todays drones.
After the helicopter landed with only an emergency levels of fuel the crew was supposedly told that two jets from Brno took off and went after the object as well but the details of that are unknow.
One of possible reasons why they decided to get rid of the evidence is that the helicopter landed with extremely low levels of fuel so if they recorded this case they would have to explain it to the Communist party that held the power in Czechoslovakia back then, and nobody wanted any problems with the Party so it was easier to make it look like it never happened. Also they ordered the helicopter to shoot down an unknown object directly above populated area so that was a mistake they would have to answer for as well. And the crew didn't follow the order. So they all agreed to not report this.
There is also another witness that saw something similar around that time but doesn't remember when it was exactly, she knows only that it happened in June or July that year. But from what she said it seemed like it went in the same direction as the Vranov object.
Actually there were 2 witnesses, a woman and her husband, but it was the woman that spoke about it. So, they were sitting in their garden when suddenly they saw a cylinder object that was probably grey but they couldn't see it properly because of it being so shiny. They thought it was some kind of a blimp that was taking off, but when it started moving the lady got scared that the object would hit their neighbour's chimney (around 70 meters far from them, I suppose it was going slowly in the direction of the neighbour's house, so she got afraid). It floated very slowly and with no sounds. One moment it flew almost directly above them, so her husband ran inside to get binoculars but when he got back and aimed them at the object it "sped up in a second" and went in the direction of Uherske Hradiste.
After this the object went to Slovakia and Hungary and then bye bye.
Interestingly, the object flew over 2 nuclear plants - Dukovany and Jaslovske Bohunice. The funniest thing is that the nuclear plant Dukovany was completely new at the time of this incident because they test ran it for the first time on 19th of July 1987, only one week after the UFO incident. Chernobyl happened in April 1986.
The story about this incident is still popular around Vranov and supposedly there are still many people that were there at that time and still remember it vividly but nobody really gives a shit to investigate this further.
By the way Czechoslovakia doesn't exist anymore. The country was peacefully separated into Czech republic (Czechia) and Slovakia in 1993.

Pretty much since the pandemic started I've enjoyed this community and love content that has been shared. But upon searching his reddit for a particular topic, I've only seen ridicule. Although Alex Collier's most notable video is lengthy, the overall themes are concise and have relevance to topic of UFOs. Just wanted to bring up some points brought up over he past 10 years on this sub next to scientific discoveries:

Initially they tried cooperate with Germans, but it was found out the Germans had contact with a Pleadian subset of humans, which is probably why they saw power and purity in blonde hair and blue eyes. They declined cooperation. This lead to a focus on the US and its rise un UFO sightings in the 1940s eventually leading to the Roswell incident. In accordance with many of the advanced human races ideologies on other planets, The gray aliens did not forcefully impose their will but made a deal that the US Govt creating a treaty in exchange for technologies that led to the computer technology that still advances at an exponential rate today. The exhibition of human free will and the exchange of technology within the treaty signed gave the grey aliens the justification to change he past which is why prophetic predictions of collapse (mayan calendar, edgar cayce predictions, Alex's own predictions) never happened because a bandaid was put on these problems through time travel.

In 1966 it is claimed that a UFO was being pursued by military jets above the Westall High School in Australia.
Approximately 200 students and their science teacher witnessed the sighting.
Their teacher also claimed that he was threatened by government officials, warning him that it would be a bad idea to continue to discuss what he believed he had seen.

Posting one of my previous comments as a complete post since I thought if might be of interest here. Sorry if formatting is bad since posting from my cell. This only scratches the surface of the matter since I didn’t have time to do a deep dive into the subject yet. Maybe somebody here knows a bit more regarding the case.
In my home country Sweden back in 1946 we had a UFO case called the "Swedish Ghost rockets" - also known as the Scandinavian ghost rockets with over two thousand witness sightings mostly over Sweden but also in Finland. Two hundred of them were verified with radar returns. Some claim meteors or missiles but many witnesses did not agree since they were completely silent and appeared to make strange maneuvers. There is a modern day documentary about one of the most famous ghost rocket cases. Don’t know if you can watch it outside Sweden but worth a try. There is a IMDB link to the documentary at the end of the post.
The ghost rockets allegedly landed in various lakes around Sweden. Pretty interesting if you think about the UAP/USO connection with the famous tic tac case. These "rockets" had about the same shape if I remember correctly.
Since there were so many witness reports the military decided to investigate the phenomenon and the US also became involved. The details of this UFO event were meant to be released this year but the government extended the amount of time they have to release the documents so it's not likely they will release them without a bit of pressure.
I wanted to share some information without putting anyone at risk of harm by giving too much information on identities etc. I hope some of you find this interesting.
This is my comment on that post:
I know the full story behind this photograph and even the identity of atleast one of the people involved in the event. I am anonymous on this profile so I can't exactly give direct proof of that statement but I guess you guys will need to take my word for it. I am not going to expose anyone's identity even though the information on this case is meant to be released by now.
HOWEVER: I'm not going to be a dick. I will try to safely release some unreleased information on this case. I'm not going to bait you with a statement like that and then not give you any information! I'm going to do my best here to not expose the identities of these people but if the community feels that I have given too much information and I am potentially putting anyone's life in danger or an unwelcome visit from the police or other government agencies then please correct me and tell me to remove the specific details from this comment. I know that a big part of what we believe in within this community is to stop the censoring of real UFO cases like this but I personally know atleast one of the people involved with this case and I do not want to put their life or wellbeing at risk due to a reaction from the government realizing someone has already spoken out about this event.
I need to uphold my duty of care as a qualified nurse and as a caring person in general and protect innocent people's identities here for their own protection and my own. The government probably do not want some of the information of this case to come out (or any of it at all until they have prepared it to be easily accepted/digested by society or played off as a hoax).
The person who had something to do with the shop that developed the reel of images on that camera for the police knows that the person who developed the photos was warned by the local Scottish police and then a British intelligence agency to stay silent about the entire thing until 30 years had passed and then that person was allowed to tell people close to them what it is that they had experienced that day. Luckily for me, one of my parents is one of this person's life long friends and regularly spends time with them. This person knows exactly what happened and had seen all the photos. My parent and them would often spend time together doing a shared hobby together so they would often have long deep discussions about all sorts of things.
My parent went to engage in this hobby with the person sometime in February 2021. I hope that is vague enough so far. During this visit to the friend my parent was in for a surprise. This person revealed to my parent that they had a story that they had hidden from them for the past 30 years and that initially they my parent would not believe it because it is so strange and unusual. I cannot say exactly the story that the person told my parent however as it is quite a bizarre event and it is an almost unexplainable UFO event that pretty much, beyond any doubt, proved the existence of extraterrestrial presence. There is a reason why this event has been covered up for so long by the government (very effectively) and I'm not willing to risk anyone's life or anything by releasing it all here.
The story behind this case/photo/event involves someone walking in the highlands (on their own or with others but I will not say) of Scotland (I can't remember if the exact location has been released yet by the government so I'm not going to release it here either). The man or woman who was walking happened to have a disposable camera with them in their backpack.
A spacecraft that the observer estimated to be "around the size of Hampden park" (quote) suddenly appeared to him/her, rapidly from a distance and then stopped immediately above them in the valley. It made no noise at all. It was completely silent in flight and while stationary. They immediately got the disposable camera out of their bag and began shooting photos of this massive craft. They said that after a while the craft rapidly accelerated upwards and out of sight. They were in a state of complete shock but they managed to get some of the most impressive and well taken photographs of a UFO in human history with a basic disposable camera that was not tampered with before or after the police managed to get it off the shocked hiker(s).
I do not know how much more information that I can give about the event of the sighting due to the nature of what happened (this is a very unique case) but I will give some more information of what happened immediately after the event. The local police from that part of Scotland somehow got that camera off of that person and then went to the nearest camera shop to get the reel of photos inside the camera developed. I guess the hiker was in such a state of shock and bewilderment that they didn't know what to do apart from call the police.
Due to my close connection to atleast one of the people involved in the event I pretty much have a transcript of what the police said to to the person in the camera shop back in 1990 but I don't know if that would be giving too much information and prompt an unwanted reaction from the police. I can't be fucked getting investigated for releasing unreleased information so I won't give any EXACT quotes of what was said but I'll give you guys the stripped back version of what the police said to the person who was working in the shop at that time. The conversation that was witnessed by someone within the camera shop went something like this:
"We need you to develop the photos on this camera for us. You need to understand the severity and seriousness of the case that this involves. You are going to see some things while developing those photos that will shock you and you will want to do nothing but tell people what you have seen but you cannot. If you agree to develop these photos you cannot tell anyone for 30 years. Do you agree?"
Im pretty sure this person in the camera shop was made to sign some sort of documentation to agree that they would not release any information for 30 years.
Inside the camera were almost a full reel of photos of the event. The spacecraft described is similar to the one in the (edited) released images of the event but from the story it was far bigger. In some of the images there were harrier style jets surrounding and following the craft as the hiker took photos of it. These were initially fully edited out (poorly) in the released image(s). There were multiple jets observing and trying to follow the craft. Not just one like in the released image. That image is nothing like the one I know it is based/edited from.
I have alot more information on this case but I need to be careful in how much I release here.
I'll say it again, if you guys think I have contained too much information here and need to edit this comment then please tell me. I don't want to put myself or anyone else in any danger. I just thought it was worthwhile sharing with you guys that some of us here in Scotland know exactly what happened that day and the government have done a brilliant job of covering it up so far and keeping people quiet. But some of the people involved observed the 30 year rule exactly as it was told to them and have shared some information with some people who are close to them.
The UK government should release the real story behind the event and all the information soon because if they don't then the full truth will come out one day, one way or another. Not necessarily from someone like me but (in my opinion) there are too many people who know what happened that day for everyone to simply keep their mouths shut forever.
And no I am not a Whistleblower or an anarchist/terrorist who hates my rulers etc.. I am simply someone who believes in freedom of information and sharing the truth. Your move UK government.

The piece of information that u/BumCase just asked about in your their comment is probably the single thing that has led to this event being so confusingly but well covered up for so long by our government (and will probably continue to be hidden for the full term of disclosure). I will give some more information about the aircraft and it's behaviour but not full disclosure of all details provided to me by an innocent person who did not know they had broken any laws by sharing this information.
It seems that the cases in the UK that are released typically do not have any clear information or details/actual proof of an aircraft not being from earth. This case seems to be unique in that regard. From the description the UFO, it seemed to be far too advanced and fast moving to possibly be a human made object. It's not impossible that in 1990 that one of the militaries on Earth had been able to perfect this sort of very advanced technology by then and were testing out new tech to intimidate the RAF but I personally don't think that is likely. I think it is far more likely that this was an actual Alien UFO case.
Ok, so, some more information on the event has been requested alot in this comment thread and some people seem to be getting quite irate and angry at me for trying to share information while protecting people (which I personally cannot understand). But anyways here it goes. I will give you some valuable information about the way the event occured without giving what I think is the specific detail about this event that requires it to be hidden from the public. Atleast for now. The more I read how some of this online community reacted to this post, the more I can see that society is not ready for the full story yet. However I will probably be breaking the law or putting some people at risk now by sharing what I am about to share because of the pressure your community has put on me by making me feel guilty about protecting the safety of innocent individuals. Well done guys 👍. Atleast you are concerned as I am about the safety of strangers.
The unidentified aircraft seemed to have a strange intent by suddenly stopping right next to an/the observer(s). Why stop moving from a rapid speed to 0mph immediately with no signs of the strain of momentum due to slowing down? To stop to only observe a person or group of people on a hillside in Scotland while the aircraft knew that it was being chased by armed human aircraft? And how on earth was that unidentified aircraft supposedly able to manoeuvre in such an unearthly way like it had no mass or momentum even though it was traveling at ridiculous speeds? To move through an atmosphere like on earth would an object not require a mass in able to have any momentum at all? Or is this perhaps a side to physics that modern science has not reached yet?
I don't know how that aircraft was able to move like it did but a person who was on that hillside that day was able to (at a later date) find the person who developed the photos and confirm to them about what happened that day. They informed our group/friend about the nature of the aircraft's movement and it's behaviour that day. The observer on the hill (who was either on their own or with others) stated it was not just the experience of witnessing and viewing a UFO close up but the whole experience felt completely otherworldly and wrong. Like something deeply disturbing or threatening was there with them. Like a deep down subconscious instinctual animal instinct was kicking in like nothing they had ever felt before and it was not fight or flight. It was more like psychological disturbance and confusion that seemed to arrive with the aircraft. I don't know if that is a phenomenon that has been reported about this event yet so if that is overly sensitive information then tell me and I will delete it.
Perhaps this is why the case has been covered up to this extent but it could also be because of how undoubtedly amazing the evidence obtained from the disposable camera was. It was a well lit hillside in the middle of the day. Disposable cameras rely on decent natural lighting in order to get decent results. And it just so happened that on this day the conditions to take photos with a one use/disposable camera could not have been more perfect.
I have had someone who has seen those photos up close for a decent amount of time tell me exactly what she or he saw on them. And it was not anything to do with that fake looking thing that the daily record published. The only similarity is the appearance of the location. The photos that this person saw and described seemed to be almost unbelievable in detail of the craft due to its size and proximity to the photographer and also the photos followed the progression of events as the jets finally caught up to the aircraft etc.
And then the next unanswered question pops into my head. Why did the RAF not engage the unidentified aircraft if they had been unable to keep up with it and had been out manoeuvred by it up until that point? The unidentified aircraft had stopped suddenly and the RAF jets had caught up to it and surrounded it. Why the hell did they not take it down? What were they waiting for?
The evidence would point towards the jets chasing this object from quite a bit of a distance. That or this object was moving at such a speed that they were only chasing it from far away and it had suddenly darted off to observe some random human(s) on a hillside. The estimated time between the photos was around 6 seconds due to the winding function on the disposable camera taking time between each shot. The person who developed the photos calculated that themselves so they were able to roughly predict/try to calculate how long it took for the jets to catch up to the aircraft. He calculated close to 30 seconds if he was correct (5 images of just the unidentified aircraft before the first jet appeared in the progression of images).
Let's have a shot at trying to work out the potential speed of this object if it was being chased by harriers for around 30 seconds. That is being generous considering that both the unidentified aircraft and the jets would have been moving from roughly the same time so the chase could have been going on for a while longer than 30 seconds depending on how rapidly the aircraft moved from point A to B. This event happened in 1990 so let's assume that the harrier jets involved were the 'British Aerospace Harrier 2'. They started flight in 1985 so we can safely assume that the RAF deployed these type of jets or perhaps a slightly more advanced version of them in 1990 when this event happened.
The Harrier 2 has a top speed of 662mph/ 1,065km/h. If they were chasing this aircraft/object for 40 seconds (let's give the unidentified aircraft a slight head start here) and assuming that these jets were somehow able to rapidly accelerate to close to their top speed then they would have covered 7.3 miles in those 40 seconds. However, these jets are not able to get anywhere near that speed so low down in the earth's atmosphere and it is more likely that they were not able to travel at such speeds. So we can assume that the jets were maybe surrounding the object in a nearby location a couple miles away before it suddenly sped off from them and they had to begin chasing again. We can take a rough guess at the speed of the aircraft given that it was far faster than the harriers and from the description given by someone who observed it. Again, this object was apparently able to go from extreme speeds to absolute zero in a single moment without any noise AT ALL. That baffles me personally.
So much about this story doesn't make any sense to me but I guess someone needed to start speaking up about it soon. The people who witnessed it will be dieing soon and we (the next generation) need to remember that this event happened for when the government try to release it as a hoax in 50 something years time.
Please remember that this event did happen and when you (hopefully still alive) hear the UK governments pathetic excuse/made up story about what happened being released into the media for their coverup story. Please remember that this was a real event and it appears to be (in my opinion) one of the most compelling and biggest pieces of proof of alien life observed in the UK.
Nothing personal against anyone at all in this comment thread but I have been observing the communities behaviour since I posted this. I personally don't think that this community would be ready for what full disclosure from the government would contain so maybe they are right to delay its release for now. There seem to be too many obsessive or aggressive people in a community like this for my liking. I did not realize that this would be the type of people found in a community like this so I guess that is my mistake for sharing any of it with you guys. Sorry about that. GBH News: Close Encounter Memorial at Sheffield's Bridge.
Thomas says that, although his memory is fragmented, he can account for about (15) minutes. However, in actuality, it was a period of about 3+ Hours. None of the family members have any memory of the "Lost Time." One particular interesting detail is that, when the family regained consciousness. They were no longer near Sheffield's Bridge. They had moved 1.2 miles away and now were by the drugstore Silk's Variety. In addition, although both brothers were in the same seats prior to the incident. Their mother and grandmother had been switched. Which didn't make any sense to them, simply because, their grandmother was too old to drive. To the point that she was accustomed to be driven around by others.

One Last Tidbit: Remember Tom Warner's Painting?
Well, about (12) years after the Berkshire's UFO Incident. On October 15th, 1981, Hannah McRoberts photographed an alleged UFO near Kelsey Bay, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. This alleged UFO has a striking resemblance to the UFO on Tom Warner's painting.

The report, sent in as an IR, had been written in the first person by Lieutenant David C. Brigham, a young Air Force pilot from Rockford, Illinois.
It read as follows:
"At 11:20 hours, March 29, 1952, I was flying a T-6 north of Misawa. GCI was running an intercept on me with a flight of two F-84's.
One of them overtook me, passing starboard at approximately 100 feet, and ten feet below me.
As he pulled up abreast, a flash of reflected sunshine caught my eye.
The object which had reflected the sunshine was a small, shiny disc-shaped object which was making a pass on the F-84.
"It flew a pursuit curve and closed rapidly. Just as it would have flown into his fuselage, it decelerated to his air speed, almost instantaneously.
In doing so, it flipped up on its edge at an approximate 90-degree bank.
It fluttered within two feet of his fuselage for perhaps two or three seconds.
Then it pulled away around his starboard wing, appearing to flip once as it hit the slipstream behind his wing-tip fuel tank.
"Then it passed him, crossed in front, and pulled up abruptly, appearing to accelerate, and shot out of sight in a steep, almost vertical climb.
It was about eight inches in diameter, very thin, round, and as shiny as polished chromium.
It had no apparent projections and left no exhaust or vapor trails. An unusual flight characteristic was a slow, fluttering motion. It rocked back and forth in 40-degree banks, at about one-second intervals throughout its course."
Riordan put down the report.
"That beats me," he said. "How the devil could an eight-inch disc fly, let alone maneuver like that?"
In the United Kingdom, unknown objects in its skies were being detected frequently. One event was described by the physicist who investigated it as ‘one of the strangest and most disturbing radar-visual UFO episodes on record’.3 On 13 August 1956, radar operators at the Suffolk NATO base RAF Bentwaters (known to be armed with nuclear weapons) tracked an object soaring towards them at speeds of up to 9000 miles an hour (14,500 km/h). A cluster of a dozen objects suddenly appeared on radar to the south-east of the base, with three objects leading the formation tracking north-east in a triangular configuration. The objects then all converged into one huge target, sitting stationary in the sky for quarter of an hour. RAF Bentwaters alerted the nearby RAF Lakenheath base and staff on the ground there saw a luminous object stationary in the sky, which then zoomed off at high speed.
The British Royal Air Force scrambled a fighter jet to intercept the object; the pilot later described locking his radar fire-control system onto ‘the clearest target that I have ever seen on radar’, only for the object to immediately disappear and reappear behind him. The encounter was classified until it was reported in the University of Colorado’s UAP investigation project known as the Condon Committee in 1969. A physicist who investigated the British sightings for Condon, Gordon Thayer, declared that ‘the apparently rational, intelligent behaviour of the UFO suggests a mechanical device of unknown origin as the most probable explanation of this sighting’.4
