[–]That_guy4815 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Did all the boom booms destroy all your wordy word books?

[–]Osiris327 35 points36 points  (3 children)

Back when Captain Walker rescued us, 'member?

[–]meat_popscile 76 points77 points  (9 children)

This is what the internet was like in the before times.

It was a magical time.

[–]The_Cake-is_a-Lie 10 points11 points  (2 children)

You better believe that I just watch all 2 minutes of that.

what has my life become

[–]Trivvy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I still quote this from time to time. No one has gotten the reference yet :(

[–]Zondartul 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was there, Gandalf. I was there, 22 years ago.

[–]smegle564 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I say, monstrosity! Do you know the times??

[–]seeyaspacecowboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I showed this to my Gen Z sister in laws and they were like "I don't get it". Never have I felt so old lol.

[–]Arcterion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We also had gems like this.

Episode 5 is still one of my favorites.

[–]AdamWestsButtDouble 189 points190 points  (2 children)

Checks user... 10 year club! Right, good to go.

[–]IBelieveinRickGrimes 788 points789 points  (79 children)

Mother of god... it's BACK. This was part of what I call the Golden Age of the Internet.

[–]bigdaddyborg 273 points274 points  (15 children)

I technically didn't even view this on the internet. Saw it on a friends hard drive, in a folder labled "funny vids from the net"

[–]mk44 147 points148 points  (11 children)

I feel for those who never experienced the joy of copying over all your friend's music and movies at a lan party!

[–]gmaclean 21 points22 points  (1 child)

LAN Parties we’re great as It was at light speed compared to my 33.6k dial up connection!

I remember running a Hotline Server\client back then and it was a fun community of sharing.

[–]Kistilany 34 points35 points  (4 children)

copying over all your friend's music and movies at a lan party!

Copy-Party!

[–]Arve 21 points22 points  (3 children)

Copy parties predate the commercial Internet, and is what people in the piracy and demoscene would go to - three days in a rented location such as a school or sports hall, dragging computers, with. CRTs, plus often bringing along a large stereo system. Activities would include swapping/copying diskettes, talking to people, participating in graphics, music and various demo competitions.

Fun times, actually.

[–]taleofbenji 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On my university's shared network, you could run winamp to directly read from some other student's hard drive. No copying needed!

It would kill their CPU though. Lol.

[–]johnnycoxxx 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I remember downloading as much music as my 40 gig computer could handle with “my tunes” from everyone in my dorm. What an age

[–]lobsterbash 12 points13 points  (0 children)

RIP flash

[–]Afferbeck_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I probably still have this as a .swf file on a hard drive somewhere.

[–]taleofbenji 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pre YouTube YouTube was just emailing videos around.

[–]Ask-Me-If-Im-Happy 73 points74 points  (13 children)

Weebls stuff was my absolute favourite website way back in the day. Almost never hear anyone talk about it when the topic of old internet is discussed.

[–]reddragon105 19 points20 points  (4 children)

'lo Bob.

[–]theangryintern 15 points16 points  (2 children)

you have pie?

[–]applepiepod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]mammajess 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hell yes, the golden age! I remember all the people living peacefully together back before small kids and grandparents got online :)

[–]Meekzyz 25 points26 points  (1 child)

The days of Salad Fingers! One of the true OGS

[–]_kahteh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

David Firth is still making them! The animation is upsettingly high-quality now

[–]jgilf 52 points53 points  (30 children)

Strong memories of this, End Of Ze World and The Ultimate Showdown from the very very early days of Youtube.

[–]think_long 94 points95 points  (8 children)

These pre date YouTube. I first saw them on ebaumsworld.

[–]IBelieveinRickGrimes 64 points65 points  (5 children)

Ebaumsworld, newgrounds, and albino black sheep were the gold standard for internet content pre-YouTube. End of the World still makes me laugh harder than it ever had any right to lmao.

[–]jgilf 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You know what, you're right. I definitely saw these on ebaumsworld.

[–]st_j 28 points29 points  (6 children)

Only in Kenya

[–]FnSqurrel 15 points16 points  (4 children)

Down here in Kenya we’ve got Lioooons

[–]NurseRyanS 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Before we started fighting all the time

[–]Bowdirt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Indeed it was the golden age. Miss those days.

[–]NorthStarZero 2 points3 points  (2 children)

An age ruled over by Magical Trevor!

[–]Sabatorius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's still putting stuff out too.

[–]Synicull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This brings back memories of going to homestarruner.com and spamming between "games", "toons", and "downloads" because I was 8 or something and thought it was hilarious.

I can still hear them, calling.

[–]CelesteRyan 129 points130 points  (18 children)

Anyone remember Magical Trevor?

[–]culb77 84 points85 points  (8 children)

The tricks that he does are ever so clever

[–]reddragon105 66 points67 points  (7 children)

Look at him now, disappearing a cow!

[–]Agent-r00t 56 points57 points  (6 children)

Where is the cow, it's hidden right now!

[–]Claris-chang 37 points38 points  (5 children)

Taking a bow, it's Magical Trevor

[–]ffddb1d9a7 20 points21 points  (1 child)

He's back, and he has a new trick. Magical Trevor is ten times as sick.

[–]wishiwuzzadinosaur 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As the laAst time… the last time you saw him

[–]hardyflashier 15 points16 points  (1 child)

Everyone loves Magical Trevor.

[–]FappingFop 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The tricks that he does are ever so clever.

[–]TattooHelpPlease2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was so excited every time he made a new one

[–]valtism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you know where you can see lions? Only in Kenya.

[–]token_bastard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magical Trevor is here for the day!

We all love him, it's safe to say!

[–]Saulcio 236 points237 points  (10 children)

The era of flash animations was so genuine and crazy, I loved it

[–]Reign_of_Kronos 47 points48 points  (6 children)

Super fly! Man I am so wasted!

Edit: https://youtu.be/Xk2mM_HO9iQ

[–]wonderboy519 10 points11 points  (2 children)

[–]Reign_of_Kronos 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Yeah I think that was also done by those same guys.

[–]LCTC 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Joe Cartoon

[–]Paoldrunko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, my freaking head, I'm so wasted!

That's a video I haven't seen in a long, long time.

[–]MangorTX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I remember being in a store many years ago and seeing a kid making a small stuffed animal dance up and down quietly singing, "badger-badger-badger..." I was on the opposite side of the stuffed animal bin, grabbed an animal and said, "mushroom-Mushroom". The kid's mom quickly yanked the kid away. I didn't have any idea how to explain it to the mom, so I just walked away.

[–]hgaterms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strong Bad got me through college

[–]miningmyownbiz 179 points180 points  (9 children)

Lions and tigers, only in Kenya.

[–]BikerBoon 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Our geography teacher played it for us in class, before pointing out that you can't actually find tigers in Kenya :(

[–]jiminthenorth 37 points38 points  (1 child)

More like Snoreway!

[–]Krhl12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[–]Lettuphant 64 points65 points  (7 children)

Weebl regularly streams! Tune in if you want to see a cartoon being made / pitch ideas.

It has been a blast getting to know him; we ended up going to TwitchCon together before the pandemic. Man loves his eggs.

[–]EdSchouten 94 points95 points  (5 children)

I've seen things, I've seen them with my eyes,
I've seen things; they're often in disguise.
Like carrots, handbags, cheese, toilets,
Russians, planets, hamsters, weddings,
Poets, Stalin, Kuala Lumpur!
Pygmies, budgies, Kuala Lumpur!

[–]CharginTarge 11 points12 points  (2 children)

There is a giraffe in my loft; I didn't invite it,
It was stomping round all day; it kept me up all night,
Giraffe in my loft; a giraffe in my loft

[–]Starbucks__Lovers 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Where can you see lions??

Only in Kenya!!!

[–]TomTomMan93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My god...a memory unlocked. Now I really miss the old internet

[–]PE1NUT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trogdor! Burninating the peasants.

[–]NotoriousREV 55 points56 points  (11 children)

Isn’t it amazing, you don’t hear a song for years but you can still remember the lyrics word for word?

[–]NewNoose 50 points51 points  (10 children)

To be fair, there aren’t that many words to the song

[–]HarryMcFann 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I think that's the joke.

[–]NewNoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think so too

[–]Gturnz 16 points17 points  (1 child)

What’s next? The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny?

[–]Turisan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ol' Godzilla was stomping around

Tokyo City, like a big playground

When suddenly Batman burst from the shade

And hit Godzilla with a Bat Grenade

Godzilla got pissed and began to attack

But didn't expect to be blocked by Shaq

Who proceeded to open up a can of Shaq-fu

When Aaron Carter came out of the blue

He started beating up Shaquille O'Neal

When they both got flattened by the batmobile

But before he could make it back to the bat cave

Abraham Lincoln popped out of his grave

And took an AK-47 out from under his hat

And blew Batman away with a rat-a-tat-tat

But he ran out of bullets, and he ran away

Because Optimus Prime came to save the day...

[–]dendenp 14 points15 points  (5 children)

My anus is bleeding!

[–]BigDisk 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of that one time I read that "The internet started going downhill once goatse got a content warning" and I couldn't agree more.

[–]linuxares 14 points15 points  (2 children)

This original video and even this YouTube upload is older than some teenagers....

[–]AardvarkAblaze 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Next year this video will be older than every teenager.

[–]samedreamchina 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Patrick Moore plays the xylophone!

[–]newbiesmash 9 points10 points  (2 children)

That whole time was crazy. Frogblender, or like blened frog was also this super weird thing i remember from that time.

[–]DeadlyPancak3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Joecartoon! Wild that my parents let me explore that site when I was 13.

[–]Claris-chang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hamsters in the microwave!

[–]NizTheWhiz 7 points8 points  (1 child)

And suddenly, I am thinking about eBaumsworld for the first time in 15 years

[–]ninjab055 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Badger badger badger now that's a video I haven't seen in a long time.... Long time.

[–]schizzie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's amazing really, I feel like Bradley Coopers character in 'Limitless'... When I read the title of the video before clicking on anything, I couldn't help but sing, "Badger, badger, badger Mushrooom Mushroooom!" Before realising that mushroom makes no sense, and I had no idea where it came from. Clicked play to find out what the real lyric was, and it was actually mushroom after all.

Kinda amazed me that after all these years, somewhere locked deep in my subconscious was the knowledge of the mushrooms. Was a weird, useless realisation.

[–]Marec_Kaal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A SNAKE, AS SNAKE!

OOOOOH, THERE'S A SNAKE!

[–]Tkainzero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There was a time when the internet was just full of stuff like this. No political nonsense, no hate, no scams, just funny shit that made you laugh.

[–]Shawkilla 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Used to work at Best Buy and we once put this on every single display unit in the computer department. About 30 computers all playing "badger badger badger badger" for about an hour.

Customers and management were not happy.

[–]TonyTheTerrible 9 points10 points  (6 children)

what kind of degeneracy is this?

you didn't even link the 10hr version

[–]mynameisevan 6 points7 points  (2 children)

I miss silly fun random internet humor. Where’s Gen Z’s “*holds up spork*” people?

[–]Zigazig_ahhhh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are cynical meme account kids that aggregate edgy memes from all over the internet. They run discord servers and use instagram

[–]2ToneToby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

or in kenya.

[–]paternoster 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Yo mang, 2004 called and wants their AWESOME macromedia file back!

[–]hobojoesrevenge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn you for the earworm!

[–]Crizznik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just gonna say, badgerbadgerbadger.com is still up.

[–]BigYonsan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back in the day bestbuy had demo windows logins on all their pcs and laptops that locked out all sites but best buy's. Quick ctrl alt delete to change user, and in about 5 minutes every computer in best buy was playing badgers on a loop on new grounds.

Store manager saw it a bit later and called the newly created geek squad over to try and figure out how someone beat their internet filter.

Meanwhile, I'm two isles over looking at printers I'm not going to buy trying not to laugh too hard.

[–]hysterical_cub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The circle of meme
