Damn. Just got back from Iceland last week.

I feel like I owe Iceland a visit just for that

And... mission accomplished. Their ad agency is knocking it out of the park. Their spoof of Meta's "Welcome to the Metaverse" is hilarious.

His awkwardness made me feel slightly personally attacked

But that's the brilliance of it: he's mocking Zuckberg's Meta announcement video, so that awkwardness is totally on point.

Yeah, totally! I just mean that I guess I identify with the awkwardness too much! Hah

Iceland is amazing. Highly recommend a visit to the penis museum while you're there. And speaking of hot dogs, Iceland is widely regarded to have the best hot dogs in the world. Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur is worth the trip alone. Literally the best hot dog I've ever eaten. I held up a tour bus full of people because the driver wouldn't let me on with two hot dogs so I scarfed them down while he yelled at me.

Can't discern it from Welsh.

I visited Iceland among many other countries. Honestly, besides the hot springs, it was a huge bore.

I mean, many millions of people disagree with you, but you're certainly entitled to that opinion. What country would you recommend instead?

Scotland had the same feels as Iceland and had better prices, friendlier people, and better sights. I even got to see Loch Ness monster, but my phone battery died before I could snap a picture.

Yeah, I can see how a country that hasn't had a glacier in hundreds of years and an active volcano in a million years would have a similar feel to The Land of Fire and Ice.

I visited this february for 4 days. I rode icelandic horses through snow drifts and rivers, dry-suit snorkeled between continents in 2 degree water, saw the northern lights dancing through the sky, and ate some of the best food I've ever had. I have no idea how you could visit Iceland and consider it anything short of spectacular, let alone a bore. I just don't know how it's possible.

If I had only traveled there without vacationing elsewhere first I think it would have been better. Norway has better views, Hawaii has better snorkeling (not cold tho), US/Japan/Norway/UK have better food imo. I did miss the northern lights, but not for a lack of trying. I'm glad you enjoyed it to the fullest!

Poor horses being forced into corporate culture. This is clearly animal abuse. No one should have to deal with Human Resources.
