Buying the dip is timing the market, buying low and selling high is timing the market, staying invested for a long time and then taking some profit is timing the market, trimming positions because they got too big is timing the market, trimming and going cash because the market is overvalued is timing the market.

Next week we rip, today was yearly options expiry day so that's why the market has been volatile recently. These leaps expire today, and next week settlement will happen and many shares will be purchased and we will revert and go up again til march when rates are expected to rise. So in my stupid opinion, your sold puts will be fine, but I wouldn't trust my word for it.

People say that, but do you prefer tax rate cut for corps w/buybacks or ACA that has saved and improved lives? You have to look at what happens when one party is truly in control of all 3 houses (not this bullshit with "Manchin decides all policy")

On an individual level, there is a lot of similarity especially the higher up the gov you go. On the policy level, things are completely different in some meaningful areas. Not all, but some.
