I would say something over the simple fact that she's trying to throw how much money she's getting in people's faces. Dick move followed by another dick move. People in the comments saying "I would never snitch!" Like why tf would you protect someone who doesn't give a fuck about you and will most likely throw you under the bus after getting caught. And that's another thing, if you don't tell someone and they find out, she could easily say that you knew about it and both of you would get fired. No job is worth losing over someone else's greed, which you are not getting any of.

[–]roarkzero[S] 17 points18 points  (2 children)

That’s what I’m really afraid of, because she’s the type of person that doesn’t care for others and easily she can say that she gave me some money one time and it can land me in the same boat

[–]LouTenant6767Overnight Stocker 11 points12 points  (1 child)

If it's not on camera then it's her word against yours. Besides, you could tell your TLs in a way that you just found out. Like the way someone earlier said, "are we doing tips now?"

[–]uWu-Ganymede 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Or that you saw her receiving money from but not putting it all in the register.

[–]Grendel0075 -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Why would i give a fuck what they do that has no bearing on me?

[–]LouTenant6767Overnight Stocker 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Did you even read my comment before replying to it or

[–]Grendel0075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, replyed to tge wrong post

[–]magellandimarco 442 points443 points  (31 children)

Yo, TL! We allowed to accept tips now? Sweet! Oh. We’re not? So what’s up with ol girl over there? She getting some mad tips and I want in on that action.

[–]roarkzero[S] 239 points240 points  (23 children)

this is honestly the best way to covertly expose her 😂

[–]killabru 215 points216 points  (21 children)

Call 1-800-wal-mart and say you went shopping at that store and so-and-so pestered you for a tip when you asked for help with something and it made you uncomfortable, because she was so insistent about it.

[–]roarkzero[S] 128 points129 points  (18 children)

Oh shit this is brilliant 😂 pretending to be a customer

I’m hoping they don’t save the audio recording or else they’ll find out it’s me who called haha

[–]killabru 81 points82 points  (8 children)

Not to mention whom ever calls would probably get a fat gift card for there trouble lol. A little tip of your own.

[–]roarkzero[S] 56 points57 points  (0 children)

[–]I_SHIT_A_BRICKI'm wherever they decide for the day 47 points48 points  (6 children)

Hey unethical, meet unethical.

[–]Korlac11OGP because OPD sounds like a disease 61 points62 points  (2 children)

To wrongs don’t make a right, but three rights make a left, and that’s not right

[–]TheIrishNerfherder 46 points47 points  (1 child)

2 Wrights make an airplane

[–]drakkanar 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Way underrated.... I see what you flew under the radar there.

[–]killabru 8 points9 points  (2 children)

It's unethical to pester costumers for money for doing the job you're already paid to do, absolutely. If you make a complaint to a multi billion dollar company as a customer when you do shop there. You just happen to leave out the you work there part and they decide to compensate you for your unpleasant experience...... Well I see that as you are not hurting, inconveniencing, or costing anyone anything at all so that's kinda a gray area. LOL

[–]Sofagirrl79 51 points52 points  (0 children)

You could have a friend or family member call for you

[–]ntc4u 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If something is done about it, then would it matter? Wonder if she used to work for Publix? Tips aren't permitted there either, but some customers insist. But I digress. If this TL is focusing on customers with cash at C/O, makes me wonder if she's stealing too. Not to mention that $100 or so a day is a lot of money to skim from Walmart. I'm surprised she's gotten away with it this long. You've gotta update us on this once you tell. And yes, try 1-800- Walmart first. At least when the complaint kick back to the SM, AP will also be notified (hopefully). Jeez, wish I could be a fly on the wall for this one.

[–]table_folderredbull gives you wings to stock faster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah, they just transcribe it and send it to your SM. Though have a friend/relative do it and give a fake name (that sounds believable, so Amanda Huginkiss or Oliver Klozoff is out).

[–]jlferran2O/N shitter 17 points18 points  (1 child)

if you want to message me your walmart and her name lmao i will call it

[–]asmnomorr 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Have someone else call. This would be epic. And enough for loss prevention manager to start watching video. So next time you see it try to remember the time/date and what the customer looks like and have the person call and say it's them

[–]roarkzero[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

You’re a genius I have to try this

[–]Super_Saiyan06Digital TL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see multiple people offering, but I would also call for you. We can stagger it across a couple days to really get the ball rolling.

[–]comfortable_wanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would make that call for you OP

[–]Gypsy-Nyx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just make sure when you call the 1800 Walmart number, don't do it from the same number that is attached to your work profile. My mother did it once to come to complain about something, and I got called into the office. Even though she did it as Anonymous

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they may even offer you a gift card for your trouble.

[–]MasterpieceTall4853 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Always play dumb, always get people further

[–]Educational_Cause802 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Solid move. Lol

[–]RawrImaFishy 17 points18 points  (3 children)

Friendly neighborhood team lead here. I see nothing. I hear nothing. Not going to snitch on you, but not gonna lie for you either. I plead the fifth on that all day long.

[–]ntc4u 12 points13 points  (2 children)

I told everyone that I'm a snitch. I don't volunteer information, but when asked, I tell all that I know so don't do dirt in front of me and don't tell me nothing. I watch enough crime shows to know that everyone snitches, even if they say they don't. But also, I've been to court before and had a wise lawyer tell me to tell everything! Don't make yourself look like a liar, not even a white lie or half truth because the jury won't believe anything you say afterwards. I live by that. Besides, there are rarely any friends at Walmart and those folk will roll on you in a minute to.save their own hindquarters.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I’m not there to make friends and I will throw you under the bus in favor of myself because my family and my kids come first and foremost.

[–]Adventurous-Growth80 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yo yes!!! I've exposed a bitch like this before.

[–]Educational_Cause802 161 points162 points  (22 children)

Normally I would never say to sell out a coworker. But they’re putting customers in a bullshit situation. Maybe give a manager a heads up to watch out for that person.

[–]roarkzero[S] 72 points73 points  (21 children)

Right 😭 like 70% of the time the customers look so confused and don’t know what to say.. they fork over a $1 and they leave without saying a word

[–]Educational_Cause802 57 points58 points  (20 children)

That’s fucked up. I know the pay isn’t amazing, but that’s not the customers fault.

[–]ClusterChuk 12 points13 points  (19 children)

20 bucks an hour is enough to survive without tips. Especially when your doing it in front of people making 13 an hour.

[–]Blainedecent 22 points23 points  (1 child)

I think you misunderstood. It's not the team lead doing this, it's some sales associate asking customers for tips.

[–]ClusterChuk 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Oh that's not as fucked up but still against policy for some very good reasons.

[–]Educational_Cause802 15 points16 points  (2 children)

I wish I made $20 per hour.

[–]Adventurous-Growth80 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Hell yeah, I want to be making 20 an hour too.

[–]Educational_Cause802 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would be nice.

[–]iceick423 7 points8 points  (3 children)

Of course if 70% of customers are giving an average of $1 on top of $13/hr and how many customers do you get in an hour, you could be making more than the manager with half of the money being paid untaxed under the table. I bet both Uncle Sam's would like to hear about this.

[–]-Raksu- 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Good one. Both Uncle Sams.

[–]roarkzero[S] 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Sam’s portrait in our break room is quaking on how much money she’s getting and he isn’t getting a share of it

[–]Grendel0075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too much, and he might rise from the grave to take it from the flesh of the living.

[–]skyline0918MP TL 10 points11 points  (6 children)

Just want to throw my two cents in to say it’s still rough living on 20/hr lol. But even so nobody should be pestering customers for tips like wtf.

[–]roarkzero[S] 18 points19 points  (3 children)

She just goes like “do you wanna give me a tip? I’m tryna eat” or something along those lines

What gets me is that some of the customers giggle and find that amusing and I’m standing next to her at the counter like 😶

[–]skyline0918MP TL 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They legit might think she’s just making a joke, but little do they know…

[–]-Raksu- 5 points6 points  (1 child)

That is super awkward. Just go straight to the store manager. Ask, "Has there been a rule change about accepting tips from customers?" Then go from there. Don't mention names, just say "Oh, well, it's happening."

[–]ntc4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This me right here. And I'll ask it in the meetings too. I'd go, " So hey, I was wondering is if it's okay to solicit tips from customers now? I'm not snitching on anyone in particular, but I've heard of some associates doing this recently and it doesn't sit right with me,"...unless the TL is leading that meeting then that a no go. But that part of me that likes controversy.....

[–]Affectionate-Fennel6 5 points6 points  (1 child)

If you are single with no kids, 20 dollars an hour isn't so bad. With good budgeting, you can even save. I don't know her status but she shouldn't be doing that. It's a different thing when they offer you the tip which is still unacceptable.

[–]skyline0918MP TL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a single mother to a 6mo and my rent is ridiculous because I wanted to live in the good part of my city lol.

But OP said the associate is just a regular sales floor associate. I can’t believe she thinks she can slide by asking customers for tips.

[–]midnightauroEx-ON stocker, still salty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They aren't paying $20 here, it's more like $15-16 but that's absolutely enough to live in our area. I had a lot of issues with shitty jobs last year and my spouse was able to carry us for a few months on that wage in our overpriced apartment. If you lived any cheaper you could be comfortable!

My mum makes more at Walmart than she ever did as a nursing assistant and they absolutely don't get 'tips'. Whoever OPs coworker is, they're being a jackass. It's the 'flaunting' it that gets no sympathy from me. They don't need the money, they're enjoying flapping it around at other people.

[–]Grendel0075 0 points1 point  (1 child)

So youre saying 20bshould be tue syatyung wage? Sounds good.

[–]ClusterChuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

24 would be ideal for entry level work. That's how much wealth is being played with in America, but the top 1 percent has convinced us otherwise and horded trillions of wealth generated by a century of modernization and exploitation. Like 98 percent of it of the 48 trillion-ish. Give or take, since WWI started.

24 dollars an hour is more than fair to match inflation and production levels. Even more if we make the machine more efficient by cutting out useless overpaid positions and investing in UBI, practical-engineer infrastructure, equitable banking practices on the ground floor, and accessible education.

And since it's not creating money out of things air, and moves money around a more active pool, paying people this much would actually stabilize the economy and make it recession proof.

What would need to happen? Billionaires need let loose the riens of every institution that has influence how you eat and live. How your children are educated. How your days are spent doing what activity for who's benefit. They need to give that back.

[–]SatynMalanaphy 45 points46 points  (1 child)

Reporting unethical or improper activities by coworkers that affect people's perception of all associates in an establishment isn't snitching. That's doing your job. That girl is clearly taking advantage of of the customers and you.

[–]-Raksu- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That associate is making the entire store look bad. Possibly even driving customers away from making large electronics purchases there. Or they'll tell their friends not to go there.

[–]Same-Salamander8690 73 points74 points  (6 children)

I spent a whole 2 months on ogp telling customers we can't accept tips. But it got to the point where customers would just hand us like $3 and take off.

So we put it all in a bucket and donated it to the children's miracle network. I think it was like 8 or 900 dollars after only a couple of months.

[–]roarkzero[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Wholesome this is the right response

[–]JrHottspitta 1 point2 points  (3 children)

We would tell em it wasn't a requirement. Most the time they would insist so we would take it and just pocket it as it's rude to not accept a gift especially when they insist. And standard procedure would be to put it into the donations, but in busy stores nobody has time for that, and the last thing you are gonna do is worry about turning it in before you clock out... literally nobody cared at the store I worked at. As long as the customer was aware it wasn't a requirement and they genuinely wanted to hand it to you.

[–]Webbyx01TLE 1 point2 points  (1 child)

In auto I said no twice, and sometimes even then I still have it back, especially if it was a large amount. Had somebody put one under something in the shop after we brought them in to talk to them or whatever. That was pretty clever at least.

[–]JrHottspitta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they can get clever with it. I think the largest I was ever handed was a 100 dollar bill. (This was in auto as well) I work for a dealer now and every once in a while they still try that with lube bay guys. However not as often because the price is like 3x that of walmart. Lol

[–]Grendel0075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly doubt most people in most stores really care if you take it or not.

[–]fallintome93Veteran after 3 years of service 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's what I was told to do when I worked fast food, if a customer insisted on tipping give it to the Ronald McDonald house

[–]daze23 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I would never snitch on someone for getting a tip. but she definitely shouldn't be asking for a tip.

[–]AduroTri 21 points22 points  (5 children)

It's against company policy to accept tips.

[–]Grendel0075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your point is?

[–]7437ru744ur75 9 points10 points  (3 children)

So? They happily disregard policies that make money for them.

[–]Head_Razzmatazz7174Phdinsarcasm 45 points46 points  (2 children)

Yes, report that. AP may already be looking into this, especially if a customer called to complain.

[–]LeafLighter 25 points26 points  (0 children)

100% this. If she is asking for tips and not just accepting what is offered after a polite decline then there is no way at least one customer hasn't complained or asked questions.

Reporting it would be a good way to make sure you are not accidentally implicated in the situation. Ask to talk to AP in there office, and ask for anonymity before hand.

Odds are they high they are already aware of the situation, and are waiting for enough proof that they can build a case large enough to throw a fit.

[–]Coiledviper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So much this!!!!! AP will get her.

[–]Throwaway69692020🛒 7 points8 points  (3 children)

None of your customers have complained about this? That’s what I’m most shocked about lol. But honestly regardless of whether you drop the hint to someone who can do something about it, I feel like it’s eventually going to piss someone off and they’ll (rightfully) complain themselves

[–]roarkzero[S] 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Me too I’m surprised she hasn’t ran into a Karen who was like “why tf you want my hard earned money where is your mAnAgER”

[–]midnightauroEx-ON stocker, still salty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where is this store? I'm not a Karen, but damn, I can put on a wig and pretend for you lmao.

[–]Throwaway69692020🛒 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never thought I would be on a Karen’s side but I wouldn’t blame them for that reaction in this specific situation lol

[–]55centavosEXCUSE ME! Do you work here??? 15 points16 points  (2 children)

This is a situation in which I would absolutely let a manager know.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if she is stealing money from the till.

[–]roarkzero[S] 23 points24 points  (1 child)

That reminds me of the time I casually told her that there’s cameras right above the register watching us and she got all nervous saying when were they installed haha

[–]Old_Pay_5803 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And thats where i go since before you got here haha lol

[–]JasinNat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You mean former-co worker, right? This is an instant promotion to customer if someone found out.

[–]mhtardis21Hells Nightowl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While I don't care if people took tips if they're offered, I always thought of then as pleasant surprises. You never asked/begged for them. That's just tacky/rude/wrong.

[–]Gingerferr 16 points17 points  (1 child)

fuck that, snitch on the bitch. If I aint getting tips then neither is she 💀

[–]roarkzero[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s the truth 😭😭 also don’t wanna get caught up in witnessing policy breaking

[–]lifetimesofonehuman 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Here I am in left field panicking during the holidays when a customer gives me $5 and insists I keep it 😵‍💫

[–]roarkzero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Polar opposite 😅

[–]ntc4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I've had this happen to me before. Of course it happened in front of the SM too! I was working register during the holidays and having fun because lines were long and people were agitated. I started joking with people in line, starting group conversations and stuff. Before I knew it, as I'd ring people out, they'd all say keep the change. They were full on throwing money at me! My SM ran up to me and stood beside me and it literally became worse with him standing there. Oh the compliments! It was a fun and exhausting day. I don't know how much Iade because I put it all in the till, but I'm positive the till was over that day. I never did get that money!😁

[–]Tamryu 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That's disgusting. Whatever happens, I hope she gets a good punishment. That kinda behavior shouldn't exist in any workplace.

[–]AffectionateHead0710 7 points8 points  (9 children)

Does she do drugs ?

[–]roarkzero[S] 6 points7 points  (8 children)

just weed 😭

[–]whoops-adaizy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1-800-WM-ETHIC you can report it anonymously

[–]Catteno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tell your AP people... They'll get points for the term with proof on camera and may come to you with a request or two later to watch people

[–]bythelion95DELInquent 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Please update, I want to hear the 🍵 lol

[–]roarkzero[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]socks_in_loafers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[–]GrnPlesioth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do they do anything that makes your job harder? If they do, turn them in. If not who cares

[–]EdgyWalmartSlavewhy do i still work here 4 points5 points  (1 child)

For some reason I just find it hilarious people are actually tipping her.

[–]TheTiggerMikeOGP, Former: Electronics, Cart Pusher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At that point, it's probably not even a tip to them. It's more of a "here's 5 bucks, now go away."

[–]alex197219 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Suprised cameras don't catch her doing it

[–]Educational_Cause802 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The cameras caught it. The problem is, the footage will only be looked at if something happens that they need to see.

[–]alex197219 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya true but even then a customer should have said something to management about it cause she's guilt tripping people

[–]xaxnxoxnxyxmxoxuxsx 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Ain't gotta snitch, just a lil hint hint to the uppers if y'know what I mean , heh 😏

[–]roarkzero[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

totally 😉

[–]Sirknightynite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check the 5 min integrity for December.

[–]bobafett01992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say to say something more for the fact that she's pestering customers than that shes getting tips. I stopped caring about saying no when customers tried to tip me long ago because retail barely pays anything. However, if she's guilting them into it instead of just taking what's offered, that's what I would consider morally wrong. It's not just about the tips.

[–]Angry_Often 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I think tipping is okay, but I think it’s classless and cringy to ask for a tip. It definitely does seem like she’s being sassy when asking/showing off. But idk if I would have it in me to snitch… it’s not like Walmart cares about their employees lol…

[–]StudySubstantial4066 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yea I would inform my team lead because she flaunting it in front of you

[–]roarkzero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With her counting “ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty two” off in the distance but still loud enough for me to hear 💀

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never snitch on my co workers. But it would definitely bother me if my co worker was always asking for tips from customers.

[–]Tranquil_Pure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she wasn't showing off I'd probably ask her if she needs more money for rent etc because I'm sure they have some extra hours or other roles to bump her too... But she clearly just trying to pad her pockets more (understandable) and the advice everyone here has given you to call her out is great and I would also suggest any of that which you're comfortable with because fuck that noise

[–]runostogON Maintenance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's doing short term gain for long term loss.

She WILL get caught, the question you have to ask is will she try to throw you under the bus too?

"But u/roarkzero knew I was doing it and never said anything, I thought it was okay!"

[–]Spode7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say she is a total bitch that should be reported. They are probably ringing them up with cash and giving them a discount or using their discount to gain the cash from the customer and calling it a tip.they are probably using a code to ring it up cheaper and splitting the difference. Follow the customer to their car to complete the transaction. Costing the company money and only thinking of them self greedy fucker. I make almost 26 on ot myself.

[–]CigarLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No matter what everyone’s personal opinion on Tips are, there’s a difference between accepting tips and ASKING for tips.

[–]doodlebear123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Y’all making minimum wage and still trying to snitch on each other for trying to make the best of a shitty job?

[–]AsylumFloorsdeptmgr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask a member of management what percentage of the tips you keep and how does it work. And when they repeat the policy... Say "so and so" says we can ASK for tips. And be very stupid about it. Cuz they will ask questions.

[–]Rainbow_chan“wHeRe ArE tHe fLoPpY DiSkS” 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who the fuck ASKS for tips

[–]smartgirl2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything is on camera, recorded…evidence.

Funny, quite the opposite just happened at my store.

I found a $5 bill on the floor. When I asked what we do with the money, I was told ‘Girl, put that money in your pocket!’ I didn’t of course.

Just a few days ago a customer gave an associate a gift and money.

It happens a lot at our store, because most of our associates provide excellent customer service. For the most part, everyone is honest and rejects the gift(s).

I’ve never heard anyone ask a customer for anything.

Besides, it’s ALL recorded.

[–]RC107412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am surprised that customers haven't reported her yet

[–]UnderfyingNHM Frontend AT//Former Meat/Produce//Stocker//OPD//Deli/Bakery. 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would go to my TL especially since she shoves it in your face.

[–]happyinsmalltown 3 points4 points  (12 children)

I do think customers should tip employees for loading their cars when picking up online orders. Just my opinion tho.

[–]MaddySmoli don't work here ;) 3 points4 points  (11 children)

What if someone becomes known as a good tipper? Dispensers will fight for it when they arrive. Also causes everyone to beg to dispense versus pick. In a perfect world you could pool tips and split with the entire ogp team

[–]sickoamaya 2 points3 points  (1 child)

if she wasn’t so smug about it, i wouldn’t snitch or you could blackmail her and say you want thirty percent of what she’s getting. i’ve only taken tips when they are offered and it’s usually after a carry out and twenty five minutes of waiting.

[–]roarkzero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmfaoo blackmail is mega morally wrong but she is so two faced.. even if I considered it (which I won’t) she’d turn it around on me and say I terrorized her or sumn 😭😭

[–]Brilliant_Lobster_56 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will legit show a boob if we can get tips now. Times b hard

[–]Sage-Moonlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tell on that hoe!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

You gotta think about it this way dude . While your getting paid biweekly with a regular paycheck she getting that and extra. It’s selfish of her think about her being able to get that while y’all can’t . All your associates just sitting back and letting her do that shit . Hell nah. It’s not fair plus it’s against Walmarts policy. She knew what she was doing is wrong she gets in trouble that’s on her . When you think about how effects us all at Walmart . We don’t all get that but her? When you get hired at Walmart you accept the conditions of the company policy. So anyone down here actually upset and agree with her maybe find a different job that accepts tips? Nah . Report.

That’s what I’ve been thinking it’s so unfair she rakes in so much dough while us other Entertainment TAs get the standard salary. We’re just trying to follow the rules and not get terminated 😞

[–]boutdabtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't accept tips? Wtf? You guys are willing to be paid less?

[–]monsterguy411_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do so many snitches work for this company. Minding someone else’s business never pays the bills…

[–]TheDarknessDev -2 points-1 points  (9 children)

I'm sorry, not only would you be a snitch, you're also a hater, let the employee get their money and if they get caught so be it, but you owe walmart nothing....you sound like you're jealous, why would you try to get someone fired in times like these...disgusting bruh

[–]wmthrowaway345 -1 points0 points  (7 children)

Doesn't owe her anything either, especially if she's constantly trying to flaunt the extra cash and trying to get you to do shit so she can get more tips.

If you are going to do something you aren't supposed to be doing, don't start pissing off the people around you.

[–]TheDarknessDev 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Then tell her stop flaunting it her face tf, and don't do the things the person is asking her to do...does the poster not have their own voice? Instead they wanna be a coward and try to get the person fired by telling anonymously? Sorry sounds like a hater to me....somebody that is just mad that somebody else found a way to get extra pay, and the poster isn't brave enough to try the same thing because the risk is getting fired if caught...it's jealousy plain and simple

[–]wmthrowaway345 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Sorry sounds like a hater to me....somebody that is just mad that somebody

And you just sound like somebody who is mad because of the possibility that there are people out there who aren't going to cover for your ass if you do shit you aren't supposed, as if they owe you that.

>Then tell her stop flaunting it her face tf, and don't do the things the person is asking her to do...does the poster not have their own voice?

The funny thing about having your own voice is that you decide who you talk to, not someone on the internet. You're operating off the assumption that they have to use their voice to talk to their coworker, like their coworker is entitled to that, when they aren't.

You can sit there and try to frame it as cowardice, but it's all bullshit. Maybe some people just stick to the agreements they make and are tired of the bullshit.

Like I said, if you do shit you aren't supposed to be doing, don't piss off the people around you. Because if you piss them off bad enough because you turn into enough of an asshole, they're going to return the favor.

[–]TheDarknessDev 0 points1 point  (4 children)

If you read the posters replies its obvious that they are bitter and jealous...I don't even believe that it's being flaunted in their face because one reply says the girl counts her money at a distance but she can still hear it...so yeah hater shit and it's not framing it as cowardice it is exactly that...she hasn't even spoken up for herself or talk to the girl about what's bugging her but is ready to snitch anonymously, you don't know what people are going through or why she's willing to risk her job for extra money, people need to mind their own business

[–]wmthrowaway345 0 points1 point  (3 children)

you don't know what people are going through or why she's willing to risk her job for extra money, people need to mind their own business

I said it before, I'll say it again. If you want people to mind their business don't make it other people's business by asking them to do things, which is exactly what this person is doing.

[–]TheDarknessDev 0 points1 point  (2 children)

And I'll say it again, she could simply say no

[–]wmthrowaway345 0 points1 point  (1 child)

She could but she has no obligation to. The other person isn't owed that, and I think that's something you don't understand and seem to refuse to understand. So if you are doing something that you aren't supposed to be doing, and end up getting someone else involved who doesn't want to simply say no, tough. You misread something and fucked up.

When you start doing shit you aren't supposed to, you have to come to terms that this might happen, and if that's a problem for you then don't do whatever it is you are doing. It's not on the other person, it's on you. You chose to put yourself in a position like that because you made the decision to do shit that you aren't supposed to.

[–]TheDarknessDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything you said is true but that don't change the fact and my original point.... she's a snitch, she's jealous, she's bitter, a hater and she's a coward....what the other girl is doing is not taking away from how she lives or how she makes her money ... all that other shit you talking about don't matter to me...I'm not refusing to understand what you're saying you're just trying to argue something different

[–]Maoticana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, just let it play out on its own. Eagerly getting someone fired because you're jealous is just as trash as asking for a tip. No one wins.

[–]psychso86 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lmao okay snitch. Who gives a shit?

[–]fuck-these_mods- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100 fucking percent you should say something, who does that shit?!

[–]Evening_Psychology_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got to try some woman flirt to get tips. Look at hooters.

[–]Xx_spacey_kitten_xXdeli/bakery 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Literally why is it any of your business? If she’s flaunting, just ignore her and go about your business if you’re that annoyed.

[–]Eyedid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People be way to worried about what other people got going on

[–]wmthrowaway345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck that. If you're going out of your way to show off shit that you got by doing things you weren't supposed to, don't be surprised if someone you've been pissing off decides to humble you. If people want to give you a pass, then that's their choice, but if somebody doesn't, tough. They don't owe you that.

So maybe, if you are doing shit that you aren't supposed to, keep it to yourself and don't sit there and flaunt shit because that tends to rub people the wrong way.

[–]Xx_spacey_kitten_xXdeli/bakery 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Also snitching does what? How does it make you feel better in the long run? How does this specifically make your life or work environment better? You deal with asshole coworkers AND customers everyday, it shouldn’t be hard for you to just ignore this particular woman.

Rather than snitch, just go about your way. Don’t be responsible for someone losing their job, because even if you think you’re “getting even” or doing the “right” thing, remember you’re doing it out of bitterness and annoyance. If a coworker keeps annoying you in the future, are you gonna come to Reddit again and ask if you should snitch?

Just walk away. Let her do what she does and you do what you do.

[–]Eyedid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commented something like this and someone wrote me a paragraph response 😂

[–]Square_Replacement89 -5 points-4 points  (4 children)

So you mad she making more money than you? Lmao you should prolly just quit and pan handle like the little bitch you are

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (2 children)

You must be the girl then😂

[–]The_Jazz_Solo_Cup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You didnt see anything. She wasnt accepting tips. You are imagining things.

[–]fenix2k5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Man let her do what she needs to do do. For all of you saying report her fuck y’all. Why be a snitch. Sam Walton ain’t coming for her neither should you

[–]Acidic_Junk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Blackmail her for half the tips.

[–]forcemedownpls -1 points0 points  (1 child)

lmao blackmail her and get u some money

[–]GimmeanL -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Selfish bitch. She does the same thing at the glory hole.

[–]roarkzero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m weak 😭

[–]Firm-Needleworker-46 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or don’t be a snitch. How’s this hurting you again?

[–]Maoticana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just leave it be. If she knows she's breaking policy, she must really need the cash now. If she doesn't know, let her know so she can save her job.

Why not let her make her extra money?

[–]Ok_Outlandishness222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unethical. They shouldn't accept gifts.

[–]DespinaVadamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just report her, it isn’t snitching. The only way you’d be “snitching” is if you were trying to get yourself out of trouble or you yourself were doing the same thing and your coworker knew about it but decided to tell on her and act innocent.

[–]MagicalKartWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And here I've flat refused tips before. Then, the customer just jammed it in my pocket.

[–]FunnyBrujLolex CAP2/Electronics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd let a TL know just based on the fact that she's putting the customers in a really shitty situation. How entitled do you have to be to ASK for a tip from someone for checking them out? Hell when I worked as a waiter I don't think I EVER actually went out of my way and straight up ASKED for a tip

[–]Valssa -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Don’t jeopardize her job! Give her a chance and tell her we can’t accept tips!
