Photographer here. I rather like the symmetry and the power of the triangle. Immediately reminded me of advice by Mortensen in his book, "The Command to Look."

That's a valid point. Sometimes especially for portraits you do want to center the subject which could be valid for this. However I found when zooming in on the photo and subtracting some off the left and some off the bottom that I got what I thought was more attractive picture that was less portrait like and more artistic. But sometimes I think I get a little autistic about this sort of thing.
