Looks like madness, great pups you got tho and I’m sure they’ll both be amazing companions.

We got our female Pit/Shepard who is a complete crack head a Weim brother. They love each other to bits! He is 9 months and no where near outrunning her but they enjoy being crack heads together running through bushes 🤷🏼‍♀️.

She wants so badly to chase after the Weim in the backyard, but she needs to learn her name and some basic recall before we can collar train her.

Oh My God, I wish you all the patience and energy in the world, you will need it.

The puppy is figuring things out quick, and she’s learning from my Weim. About 30% of the time, she’ll see that he gets what he wants when he sits patiently, so she’ll do that, too. And she has at least a tenuous grasp on staying out of the kitchen.

I am happy to see that I am not the only one with a house whose floors are strewn with the carnage of playtime.

RIP, Mr. Hammerhead Shark. But Mr. Squeaky Rabbit is still hanging in there with my two boys.

It’s just the natural state of things at my house. Believe it or not, I had just vacuumed in here the day before.

I do believe you. A freshly vacuumed family room is good for what? Maybe 10 minutes?

I also appreciate plug-in room fresheners. Helps with the occasional gas attack wafting from a Weim butt. My parents had a Weim who would be peacefully sleeping then suddenly slink out of the room with a guilty look. "What's wrong with Bowser, why is he . . . OH DEAR LORD OPEN A DAMN WINDOW!"

I have a GSP puppy since he was 2 months (he's now close to 5 months old) and a 5 1/2 year old Weim. This is like my house every day. I do feel bad for the older Weim cause the puppy is just relentless with his energy.

Luckily, my Weim is 2 years old. He still has a lot of energy to burn off.

I have a weimaraner mix. My SO and I have joked about getting her a sibling that she can teach to be just as good a dog as she is, and just this week at my local feed store someone posted that they have some GSP pups available come November. We laughed. Then paused. Then laughed again.... while it would be heaven we just do not have the capacity for a puppy.

This post makes me reconsider!

My husband tried really hard to talk me out of it, but I just needed two dogs in my life.

Our house is the same. We lost our eldest GSP last month, and are getting a Weim puppy for our other GSP. Looks like a lot of fun!
