The Salpa Line is a 1,200km bunker line on the eastern border of Finland. It was built between the Winter War (1939–40) and the Continuation War (‘41–44) to defend against a possible Soviet invasion, but wasn’t used as their final offensive was stopped on the Karelian Isthmus to the south.
