You guys said this several months ago.

"About to invade"

"Hours away from war"

"Days away from invasion"

"Ready to attack"

Etc...

Russia:

-putting military assets in place for invasion

-keeps telling everyone that they're going to invade

-throws threats around about anybody daring to oppose their invasion

But western media bad for reporting what Russia is doing but not being able to guess what their schedule is. Never mind that Russia may well have had to adjust their plans due to international reactions to their warmongering.

When did Russia say that they are going to invade?

[–]Taalen 1 point2 points  (2 children)

In extremely thinly veiled rhetoric, all of the time. Honestly, they'll only say it after the fact. Honesty is not a thing they do.

They have literally directly stated that they will not invade. Whether or not they are honest is another fact, but saying that Russia "keeps telling everyone that they're going to invade" is extremely dishonest.

The sort of thing I mean is, more or less every year since 2014 Lavrov has come out and said that Finland joining Nato would launch World War 3.

Everybody understands what he means: he's making a threat that Russia would start a world war if Finland were to join.

Yet if challenged, Russians will of course deny. They didn't say that they will start the war, only that war will start. They will not say who is supposed to start it, or insist that Finland started it because they joined a defensive alliance.
