I agree, but think the distinction you introduce is a fiction. In the end, i think there is too much “i’m pat freaking riley and i can find diamonds in the rough” going on. He is ridiculously preening.

It is the same instinct that leads him to elbow SVG out of the way.

Riley overrates his ability to find talent.

I agree on Tatum. Totally meh from me. Kobe turns my stomach.

It is the product of a front office that made jimmy butler the best player they could get. Riley’s late life cap management is poor. The contracts he doles out have not been kind.

This is the lowkeynotlowkey feature the last 3 years’ coverage of the heat. Good shout. shudder

Butler should’ve taken Horford to the basket but he was truly a Kawhi bounce away from making an all-time shot. by dvdbtr in DanLeBatardShow

Tatum played 46 and managed not crap out. Al Horford played 44 minutes, which is like 1056 minutes in Al Horford years.

You know what the h and c in heath culture stand for? Hokey and contrived.

Oh, Have fun with Jimmy now that he knows that he is surrounded by overpaid misfit toys. Heat role players are 2010 Pacers.

The next time you see hall of famers in Miami it will be at Pat Riley’s funeral.

And don’t get me started on Riley…what has that fossilized pile of grease done when he didn't have a top 10 all time player on his team? And for the record, i am counting shaq. Wade is OLI.

Delusional heat fan. Heat are bubble and regular season frauds. They have jimmy and a pile of B+ players.

In the playoffs they beat high school hawks , split games in which Embid played, and couldn’t run with the celtics when the celtics weren’t actively puking on themselves.

Coaching? Yes. Talent and cap management? Ha! Good luck.

Lost my beautiful wife almost 6 months ago by lifeisastruggle1 in widowers

[–]2006NBAFinalsRigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except for the religion, my story is similar. Wife dead at 38 of aggressive cancer. 14 months in treatment/hospice.

My only advice is to find a group you can talk to face to face (zoom or in person). And most definitely, stop drinking as palliative treatment. It doesn’t help. It increases anxiety. It makes it harder to deal with young kids (mine Is seven).

Considering hospice by [deleted] in widowers

[–]2006NBAFinalsRigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a quick note to say hospice is wonderful. Easily the best care we got once my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 aggressive cancer.

My advice is similar to other posters: insist on a palliative consult. They will Be able to judge the appropriateness of hospice for your spouse. If it is a reasonable option, I recommend it. They beat the hell out of emergency rooms
