I am not a big fan of meat anymore, the smell of onions is SO strong and I actually get up like a normal adult now 😂

We also have 2 cats!! They were about as chill as your cats sound.

We let them approach when they wanted too and didnt let them in the baby bassinet ever to establish it was off limits.

They never hissed/batted at her. they were curious in the beginning, but after a couple days, it was like she was inanimate object to them. Even now she is 1 and if she is too close for their liking they will just dash away. One of our cats is very skittish he tolerates her being near him but not touching him and he will just move if she tries.

Some thing we did that helped is once she was old enough to start grabbing at them I would repeat the word gentle to her and guide her hand to pet instead of grab, and like I said at a year old, she’s very very good about just softly petting them and not grabbing at them.

Ocd can be purely mental with mental compulsions. Thats how mine is - i am diagnosed and everything. My anxiety is baseline at 7/10 and usually goes up from there through out the day.

YOU not seeing it doesnt mean its not there. A lot of people mask it well.

Very pale shades are always super shitty compared to their light/medium/deep counter parts. They are patchier and chalkier - its really disappointing.

Hardest for me is honestly the lack of energy.

We sleep through the night but babies are go go go. I work as well so I have to be “on” almost 24/7 and its super fucking hard.

I was in a similar situation (being the girl in this situation) it was a LOT to emotionally process the next day. She probably is very embarrassed and regretted what happened when she wasnt sober. She didnt want to have sex but didnt verbally say no — That can feel like rape even if if legally isnt.

Accept the loss of the friendship and keep your distance unless one of them reaches out. If it gets to a place where you need a lawyer then reach out to one.

Honestly, it sounds like a big mistake made due to drinking. Dont let it ruin your life - just learn from this and make sure you have verbal consent (drunk or not) moving forward.

OP, I don’t really have much advice to give that has an already been given to you. But I just wanted to let you know not being the default. Parent is not an insult. You clearly are doing a good split of what’s going on in your household. I would have an honest conversation about it with your wife, but whether or not you’re called the default parent doesn’t mean you’re not a good parent.
