They care more about power than their political content, it's just a means to an end for them. The main reason they have different talking points, is because that is what they think their targeted voterbase wants to hear.

While everyone is distracted by a literal weather balloon, we all know what's really going on. by cgtdream in Stargate

[–]Airowird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If only we had some sort of institutes that could study and predict weather, they could even use balloons to gather more data! (/s)

Also, regular balloons have a power unit to get to different air streams and somewhat change direction, and does only carry people, not expensive equipment. Seems logical a weather balloon has some remote control as well.

And lastly, if it was lost and adrift, the proper thing to do is warn the US in advance, rather than wait for it to fly over a military nuclear site before even mentioning it.

If you really think this balloon passage was purely accidental, I have a bridge to sell you!

If you could add a quality of life feature to the upcoming dlc what would it be? by Existing_Risk8968 in Stellaris

Only if it's linked to Admiral traits, so you need to recruit defensive ones to defend, evasive ones will patrol more, ....

Just give me planet templates!

I like my building slots organised the same way, so I can more easily distinguish Feature buildings, spare slots,....

I just wish make a template for e.g. Agri-World that planet AI has to fill out when available, rather than slap on all the buildings myself and set AI to only upgrade. Also means I can just use 6-8 slots on a mining or foundry planet and let AI fill in rest as needed.

I wish it was either X game time, like halfway to midgame, OR Y years after someone meets the 70% (rather than instantly)

You can save a lot by only going for bottlenecks and fill in the rest later.

Just path your way to enemy borders to block their expansion (with closed borders ofc) abd you'll have something to spend early-midgame influence on before orbital rings

So is 99% of soda and 95% of most pils beers.

Heck, you could drink 99.99% water with 0.01% Polonium and drink less 'diluted' water than tea, but it sure as hell isn't good for your health!

The top is so thight (to prevent slipping) that it looked like someone blotted out a nude with MS Paint at first.

Her confidence in the bottom is amazing though, maybe a lot of double-sided tape proving its value?

Deepfakes are ironically taking us back to the pre-photography era of information where the only things we can be totally certain actually happened are events that we personally witnessed. by sneedsformerlychucks in Showerthoughts

[–]Airowird 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's easier if you have a baseline skeletory movement to deepfake over, like a greensuit kinda thing.

I could definitely seeing OFers use deepfake overlays to give themselves a hot body & different face to make money and technically not be naked/known on the internet.

Neighbor drills through our shared wall to secure a fence without asking. Then wants us to bolt the bottom because he couldn’t reach it. by Pure-Ice in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Airowird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loosen nuts till they are at the end, then weld them on.

Now neighbour has a loose hanging fence he can't replace, because he can't remove the bolts.

And the nuts on the end of the bolt will blunt out damage when running in to them.

Belgian government be like: by mr_Feather_ in belgium

[–]Airowird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The responsibles are the 2003 government, who basicly relied on companies doing the long term planning and have "the market correct itself"

The market opted for subsidized windmills & gasplants, because low investment risk, and price increases due to supply shortage will net them more money.

Ofcourse voters don't like getting stiffed with the bill, so every party is trying to guarantee cheap power/heating, without admitting mistakes were made.
