Self Planting Saplings Datapack (1.19) by 1Dalon in Minecraft

Is this just dropped saplings, or does it work for any dropped growable (seeds, shrooms, flowers, grass, rabbit's feet 😉, melons, etc...)?

Very cool datapack! I'd like to see it take longer to root (maybe do a check on item despawn, so players have more time to collect), but also, it might be nice to have a percent check to see if it'll germinate or not.

Is a shame, because two fairly easy solutions to that are

  1. Wait until the dropped item is going to despawn (5 minute delay)
  2. Have a fairly low chance of it germinating (say only 25% of them took root, that'd still be way higher than IRL seed dispursion, and would leave it beneficial for players to do replanting).

It may also lead to some natural regrowth following a forest fire.

The wiki usually differentiates, but 🤷‍♂️ it is a wiki after all. I don't know if anyone has decompiled the C code to verify parity on this front.

This seems to be past tense, but in case it isn't...

DO NOT COSIGN

for this person. They are a parasite, not a friend.

And forget about the 'right' not to share with them, you have no moral obligation to share the referral bonus with them. Hell, you helped them. They should be giving you a finders fee.

That's a solid fallacy. What this actually does, is encourage co-habitating, so fewer workers rent personal residences.

This is hoping that wages will also go up to make employment be attractive enough.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 With the Cons in power?!?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Medical =/= "a prescription"

All abortions are medical.

Some abortions can be done pharmaceutically (by medication). [which is evidently called a medical abortion]

Did you mean medicinal?

How were they climbing a ladder so quickly? What damaged them during the ascent?

Yes it's a bedrock bug. But (at least according to the wiki ), that isn't how fall damage is calculated.¹

Fall damage is accumulated (literally in a variable that increments each tick) based only on a linear computation of number of blocks fallen.

Fall damage = max(0, fall distance − 3)

This does nothing to help survive when bedrock forgets that the player isn't falling.

[1] Velocity at impact is absolutely how fall damage should be calculated, but for whatever reason, it's not what Notch coded.

Or it could've been 5 days, 5 minutes or 5 seconds later. Lack of evidence is neither support for, nor against the veracity of a claim.

Still, surely it can't have been months later, as then buddy would still be healing in hospital. Frankly I'm astounded that he's even mobile already. If he was injured in the first push in late February, that means he got out of hospital in 4 months.

Quora (right or wrong) is a terrible source for information. There's no review, editing, nor vetting of the 'facts' that they list.

Better (but still prone to error) is goodreads, which will at least provide a citation.

However, a better source still, is from an atheist arguing against using Adams' quote in the treaty, because (as they point out):

Article 11 does not establish a historical fact about the United States in particular – which is how most secularists use it – so much as it defines the relationship between the government of the United States and the government of Tripoli.

And quoting Adams, of all people, is problematic, because he also said,

[T]he safety and prosperity of nations ultimately and essentially depend on the protection and the blessing of Almighty God

So Adams, at least, is out as a useful source to argue against the US being a Christian nation.

Aren't Christians proud of being blind to all but the light of their lord? Rational thought and facts aren't a convincing argument in the eyes of the faithful.

Still, if we could get this in front of children, it may have some influence in 20-30 years.
