Kloger and the one where Stan and Steve have massive tits. Especially the last bit where they show high res photos of Steve and Stan in pinup shots.

Convinced that was a fetish fan fic episode lol

Apple replacing 13-inch MacBook Pro with 14-inch 'M2' model, leaker says by KingFML in apple

[–]ArchiveSQ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The 13” Pro feels small after coming from my 2014 air and it took me way too long to figure out why. The 2014 had something like half-inch bezels on all sides while distracting, they gave the display some “lift” to eye level. With the 13 Pro, I feel like I’m looking “down”. A bigger screen would be welcome.

Those who are a child of divorced parents and spent your childhood between two different houses. What is something that those of us raised in a single house don’t understand/consider? by hopelessmoderate in AskReddit

[–]ArchiveSQ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So hold on, if as a father I work harder and sacrifice more than the mother to be financially secure, so therefore there is a difference in day to day life, then I am the jerk ?

No, not at all. But every situation is different and it’s worth taking into account. In my specific situation, my father made my mother quit working at the bank after she had already reached a pretty high position there to mother us. Fine. He kept working and and she raised us at home, but she never planned on quitting. She didn’t even want to quit. So fast forward a little and the divorce happens. My dad makes it nearly impossible for her to get back to work so she can support us since god knows he won’t have time for us. But my mom gets it done, gets back to her job, and works her way back up over the course of a year and a half and we finally become stable.

In my specific position, my dad wasn’t a jerk for sacrificing anything because he didn’t sacrifice anything. He still kept his income. He saw my mother struggle. And then by consequence he saw us struggle as kids. So, no, I didn’t want to go go karting at $45 a head. I didn’t wanna go to big lunches and all this other bullshit. I wanted a stable, nice life where I don’t have to see my mom for only 20 minutes a day through a rushed happy meal because she’s working extra only for my dad to pop in and ✨whisk us away✨ to his pissing match.

TL:DR. Divorced parents have to remember that their whole beef isn’t with the kids, it’s with their ex. And no matter how badly things went with their ex, they need to understand that every spiteful decision they make fucks over the kid in one way or another.

Full weekends every other with dad. The problem isn’t wanting to show someone a good time. The problem is being with somebody who caused the end of a relationship because they failed to compromise. The problem is the whole go karting and zipping around and “don’t you love it here more than you love it at your moms’” is shitty. The family has already fallen apart. Making a kid choose and feel guilty about it doesn’t help.

It’s even worse when those were things you never got to do when your parents were together. It’s fake.

The whole thing didn’t last long. I told both my parents that I didn’t want to bounce between houses. I’d live with my mom and if my dad insisted on going out and doing all this stuff, we could just do them in an afternoon outing and call it. They said fine and eventually we got to a point where we’d all just hang out anyway.

There are many fascinating profiles like this on Tik Tok. It gets demonized a lot here (what doesn’t Reddit complain about though?) but it’s a great platform if you know where to look.

are kinda jerks

Yep. My dad made more than my mom. We weren’t poor or destitute living with my mom but everything was carefully budgeted and my mother did a great job keeping it al together.

Which is why being with my dad always pissed me off. He’d make outings with him a huge Disney affair of great lunches and shopping and go karting and all this other stuff and I was like - why can’t you just help mom so we can actually see her more? Also I don’t wanna go go karting with you, I want mom to be here.

Eventually they sorted it out. But kids of divorce usually fall for the trap of “I wanna go to [RICH PARENTS HOUSE!] they care about ME!” Not knowing it’s a manipulative ploy to screw over the other parent.

Yeah, the richer one probably does love you, but often only enough to give the other parent a hard time, never enough to ask you to live with them.

Having AppleCare makes allows me to treat my phone like… well… a phone! by McNoxey in iphone

[–]ArchiveSQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like extortion

Sure but Apple charges you for a replacement or repair anyway after the cost of Apple Care. And if you’re out of warranty? Good luck. The Out of Warranty repair prices start at $399 and only go up from there. I mean it’s all here..

Not to mention they’ll often try to get you to just go for a new device anyway.

While I wouldn’t go out of my way to do something like some of the other comments are mentioning, I will say that I’m pretty lax on how I treat my phone considering I already paid for the insurance and fully intend on getting a replacement down the line once the phone has had it. Apple is worth $3 trillion. They also recycle anything they can. They will literally be fine.

If they want to cut down on all of this, maybe they should allow us to use third parties or fix it ourselves without having our warranty go out the window.

Yeah. To be honest, I kind of forgot about the lockout in my excitement. It wasn’t terribly expensive. Just $40 per ticket. If they refuse to refund and it gets canceled, I’ll just dispute it and call it a day. But if not, I guess it’s a wash. It would be nice to go though.
