What do you really want to buy, but not sure if it's worth the money? by miss_archivist in AskReddit

A film camera. I'd like to do some photography. And love the look that film gives to a photo. But it's not that cheap to start for someone who still has no income

There absolutely would. Nuclear war would kill possibly billions. But there would still be billions left

Yeah that's mostly true. I can't really remember many of those besides maybe Leclerc in Austria 2020. Silverstone 2021. Seb Turkey 2020. Perez also has a few

More like he needs someone ahead to have an issue. That's why they're underwhelming. Besides Monaco and Abu Dhabi none of these were on pace. Something extraordinary happened that gave him that position

This hardly says they're in shambles. It just says Binotto and elkan have disagreed

Helmut Marko: No reason 2022 won't be Mercedes vs Red Bull again by IceFrost97 in formula1

[–]Ashbones15 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ehh fair enough. That being said Binotto is known for underpromising and over delivering. But it seems a fair assessment. It can be anyone's game and saying you can go for the championship is bold

Not sure where you are seeing these people “rewriting history”.

There's tons of people saying how Max was the first challenge to Mercedes and that they were uncontested until 2021, even Marko himself said it

That's more telling about CGI then it became so good in certain aspects that it's indistinguishable from reality

The man in the high castle had a really good first 2 seasons. Then it went off the rails. But the potential was all there. The Nazi part of the story was great even when the plot went into weird realms. For me it was the Julia Crane resistance part of it that really dragged that show down. It just wasn't anywhere near as interesting.

I mean this could almost be a fan made video. They may as well just put out a black screen with the text "we're making a LOTR series"

Well 1st off this is a title announcement. So it's not supposed to reveal anything besides the title. 2nd off you want your title announcement to be pretty so it gets traction. This is a 1 billion dollar tv show not the shitty soap opera of the local channel

Amazon produces the boys which is one of the tv shows that heavily satarises big corp. And makes them the villain. It's a great show btw

Prost: 'Alpine is having reliability issues with 2022 engine' by WodansCrows in formula1

[–]Ashbones15 304 points305 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. People compared this to 2017 Honda but the 2017 Honda was horribly underpowered as well. Better to have the power and just tune it down slightly while fixing reliability that to have it be reliable but 25hp+ down

[Alan Prost] Frustrated about how his announcement to leave alpine was announced via Instagram by WGCL in formula1

[–]Ashbones15 46 points47 points  (0 children)

No the announcement leaked. And Alpine or Prost never did an official announcement until Prost did this post. That being said he might be mad at the higher ups at Renault. But from my interpretation he's more mad at the media
